03 May 2025 Cassia bolted down the cold dungeons like an Olympic champion at the start gun. Layers of sweat covered the nape of her neck and forehead, cold air biting into her lungs though she made her best not to pay attention. She could feel her entire body working, from leg muscles running warm to blood flowing into all of her limbs, adrenaline coursing through every vein as if she’d been made to run this fast. Only she wasn’t, and her breath came in short gasps, feet desperately trying to keep steady while she moved her body forward. If only she weren’t running this late to her meeting with a Hufflepuff mentor, Cassia would have stopped for the sake of burning calves. This was- punishment to her small body, she was sure of it. For not taking better care of it, all because she couldn’t stand exercises and didn’t force herself through it in its entirety.
Yet she had. to. keep. running. There was no choice, if she came in late then it was over. No mentor, no tutoring, no grades good enough to turn into a sixth year. Her eyes were almost filled with tears at the prospect of not joining her friends and instead kept late among younger students, and for a second she barely paid attention to anything but the disruptive thoughts inside her brain.
A mistake.
“OUCH-” Her body came to a stop, forced. It resembled a marble wall, the force with which she ran into something made her body threaten to fall backwards, and all of her blood flooded upwards, cheeks a scarlet red. She was- running at the dungeons and made a mistake of running into somebody, and now… now she’d have her clothes go dirty with the floor, run even later and.. oh no. Who had she ran into? Who? She had to know. This was nightmare-ish stuff. simon sixten svendsen

May 2025Simons evergrowing list of why he hated school never ceased to get longer. Potions was the bane of his existence this week. If he wasn't able to get his grade to at least a Passing, he wouldn't be able to play at Slytherins next match. He hated school so much, he couldn't wait to get away from the stress of academics and start his real life. Who needed school anyways? Simon had went to the potions classroom to beg the professor if he could get some sort of extra credit or assistance, but he couldn't find them. It seemed that teachers didn't live in their classrooms, contrary beyond popular belief, which was probably a good thing.
As Simon turned on his heel to start for the end of the corridor, he suddenly heard heavy footsteps. As if someone were running in the dungeons. That was weird. Simons eyes easily adjusted in the dimly lit surroundings, due to probably being a half vamp, but he stupidly couldn't figure out if the echo of the footsteps were coming from in front or behind him. They approached quicker than he expected too.
Suddenly, someone collided with him, and the foot steps stopped. "What the fu--" The air was knocked out of his chest and he staggered on his feet for a good second before regaining his balance. He heard someones body hit the cement floor, which surprisingly made him feel guilty, for someone who hadn't done anything... Simon quickly crouched down to offer the girl a hand of assistance, "Are you alright?" he asked her, raising a brow at her in confusion. The look on his face may have been slightly annoyed since he wasn't smiling.

There was nothing quite like a sudden encounter with the cold, harsh floor to make her day even worse. Cassiopeia didn’t have many bad days - they were usually fit of romantic comedies, with music seemingly playing out nowhere and flower fields creating a spectacular background for laughter and jollity. However, in some days her mood turn a turn for the worse with a number of unsuccessful tasks and downer peers clouding her vision. To think she was this close to losing her only hope in a tutor?! It- really was the icing on the cake, considering everything.
“Please look where you’re headed!” She said in a bitter, angry-ish tone while lifting her hands out of the floor. Red and a bit bruised, it wasn’t painful but made her eyebrows frown - something worthy of a picture -, thinking to herself it must be minutes before it got corrected. Perhaps even hours! Her knees were scratched and so were parts of her slender-ish legs. This couldn’t be happening, could it? Had she turned into a- ugh, something worthy of a farm girl or somebody who worked a lot in the span of seconds? “I-” Bite on her lower lip to keep from speaking, her teeth barely touched the softness before she dismantled the action. Biting her lips was something else she meant to keep from doing because cracks on it were absolutely the worst.
In fact, Cassiopeia was ashamed. She shouldn’t have run this fast, even if the boy shouldn’t have stood like an idiot either. “I am. I'm so sorry, I should have looked where I was going.” Face down still to further inspection her skin though she had noticed his hand, fingers closer to his soon enough. Was it.. her… or his fingers really were as cold as the chambers? “It’s been a while since-”
Froze.
Cassiopeia instantly froze, adrenaline pumping through her veins without need of notice while feet took a step backwards. She was- out of words, open-mouthed and wide eyed, staring at the boy whose name was followed by too many rumours and… and the knowledge that he was- oh, Merlin. That was it. That’s how it all ended, with a ridiculous bumping into a- oh, no. “Stay away!” Shouted not two seconds later, hand jolted closer to herself while she had thought process focused on where she’d left her wand, Merlin save her. Finally found it close enough, rigid in front of him and- “You… W-what are you doing here?” Had he known she would be there? Did half-vampires do it? Did they drink blood?! Had he targeted her somehow and that’s why he positioned himself to have that ‘encounter’?
Fine, but she wouldn’t go down without a fight.
Her hair was far too pretty to be turned into a vampire.

May 2025The words that spilled from the girls mouth immediately confused him. He hadn't done anything wrong and suddenly she was telling him to watch where he was going? His eye brows immediately quirked upwards, cocking his head to the side, "Excuse me?" he asked in disbelief, "You ran into me." Simon told her, already agitated at her blatant stupidity, but she was already apologizing. Now he was confused.
As the girl took his hand of assistance, she retracted it back just as fast, causing Simon to step back and hold his hands up when she started yelling at him to stay away from her. His bright blue eyes widened, obviously taken aback by her intensity, "Woah! What the hell is your problem?" he asked quickly, raising his hands in the air to show he was defenseless, to show he wasn't trying to hurt or upset anyone. In the midst of it all she asked what his business in the dungeons was, which irritated him even more. Simon scoffed, "And why does it matter what I'm doing down here? I don't even know you." he told her, not caring if he sounded harsh now. This girl was being rude to him for no reason.

How could Cassiopeia possibly accept she had been so stupid as to fall for a half-vampire’s trap? Because she was sure this was a trap. How else did they find preys to suck their blood? Surely not through willing students. Oh, Merlin- five minutes, less, and she’d turn into a sack of blood, not a- not a person as she was! She couldn’t help how her heart had sped up from normal rhythm to marching drums, adrenaline leaving her so alert she could swear some of his movements were put into slow motion. Only this couldn’t be real, could it? They wouldn’t leave a half-vampire wandering about Hogwarts if these were dangerous creatures, but… she’d always heard they were. Half human, half creature. It left a metal taste to her mouth, or perhaps it was imagination playing with her, a number of scenarios with the end.
Luckily, she had practiced duels enough times her arm hadn’t gone tired from pointing her wand towards his direction. If it were to happen she could… change the hand or something. Sure. There could be a way out, or at least that’s what she convinced herself of before mind worked to redirect attention. He’d had something - “M-my?” Intake of air so quick he might not even notice it, though her voice cracked. A slip, that’s all it was. She shouldn’t show fear… only it was too late for it. “What’s yours?!” Yelled back at him in an act that could only be stupidly brave, though in fact it was just stupid - she had listened to so much bad talk of vampires, what else was she supposed to believe then that his kind (even half-vampires) were evil?
“I know what you want, alright?! I- I’ve read and listened to a lot of things about your… your people, and I know you don’t want to let me go from here because sure, you must have thought of a way to disappear with me or something-” stopped, if only because she couldn’t believe his expression. Was he mocking her? Whatever, she wouldn’t let him use of whatever tricks to fool her. “L-look, there are muggles way to draw blood without hurting or biting. Ok? You don’t have to hurt me to get my blood or- stop it!” simon sixten svendsen I honestly cannot HAHAHAHAHAHAFeel free to interpret however you want why she might have said 'stop it' I wanted to leave this as open as possible. And ofc, I can always edit it!

May 2025"My problem is you're a f-ckin' idiot." he scoffed unapologetically, rolling his eyes to the back of his skull when she asked the question back. Simon wasn't one to bully girls, ever, but he felt like she started it and wasn't letting off the gas pedal. He was normally one to mind his own business... Today, unfortunately, he wouldn't. As a Gryffindor, he suffered from having too much pride at times and couldn't resist a challenge. Simon watched her frightened display in complete 'Awe', dumbfounded by her stupidity. He wasn't sure what to do with himself at first. It had been awhile since he encountered prejudice behavior at Hogwarts. But he wasn't one to let it go lightly. No body was allowed to talk badly of his 'people' or family.
Simon took a step back since he wasn't trying to provoke the girl. The last thing he wanted was for this stupid girl to scream bloody murder in the dungeons because of him. She was still holding her wand up towards him - which was a bit concerning - but he wouldn't pull his out yet because he wasn't afraid of her.
The half vampire pointed a finger at her, "Ohh, I see, you're prejudice." he nodded his head slowly, crossing his arms across his chest, and offering her a furrowed brow. He took in a hot breath, blue eyes narrowing on her, "Even if I had the ability to suck blood, I wouldn't want to know how rotten you taste." he growled, shaking his head in disbelief. The words were meant to sting since he wasn't trying to startle her, she already seemed scared enough thinking he was going to drain her alive.
After this stressful encounter he'd do doubt be making his way to the hospital wing for a blood fix...

For Merlin’s sake, how could it be that every move she made seemed to put her in an even worse situation? She needed to protect herself, of course, but her resolve faltered with his words - a fucking idiot. It’d been so long since she heard anybody call her that, and only because they were bullies themselves, that the sound of his voice sent a shiver through her spine. Cassia didn’t want to believe she was wrong. It would only make her look like a complete idiot, plus she had heard so much of half-vampires and the things they did… it seemed unreasonable that some of the talks wouldn’t be true. After all, every single lie has basis in some truth! Something she deeply believed in, which made her take a step back instead of lowering her wand; waiting to see what else he might do but set on her intention to hex him should he do something like move in her direction and- breathed a little easier when the half-vampire did the same.
“What?!” Taken aback didn’t cover half of it. Prejudiced? Surely not. Every single thing she had said so far had basis on things she heard or read… though she’d never really paid much attention to her readings and, thinking about it then, she wasn’t entirely sure the people she heard speaking were any authority on the topic. Still, Cassia was scared. No one in their right mind would feel eat ease inside the dungeon, let alone close to somebody they had no idea who the person was and- this guy wasn’t entirely a person, right? Though, the parts of him that were surely sufficed for feelings and all that mattered. Had she…? “DON-” Lips parted with the new, harsher intake of breath, confused upon staring at him and aware of his growl. Maybe he was doing it just to mess with her. This wasn’t fun!
“Wait, for your information, I think I taste v- actually, hm, not sure I want you to know tha…. you know what? You’re probably right.” She did her best to show a hopeful, spooked smile. “So- you’re going now? I will, hm- stand right here while you do it.” A great idea. The best one he had so far, and she had to help him leave. However she managed not to get bitten, Cassia would surely congratulate herself in just a minute. simon sixten svendsen oh my god I am so embarrassed HAHAHAHA

May 2025The half vampire tilted his head to the side when the girl said that he was 'going now', resisting to smirk. Slowly, the corners of his lips curled upwards and he rolled his eyes. "I was?" he challenged her, stiffening his jaw, "I wasn't planning on going anywhere." he told her nonchalantly, standing his ground. Truthfully, he was on his way out of the dungeons before bumping into her, but since she told him what to do...
Simon never liked being told what to do, authority left a foul taste in his mouth, especially people who didn't have any control over him. Most Professors knew him because of his occasional snarky mouth towards classmates and adults, and maybe getting caught a few times smoking or sneaking around.
It seemed the longer he stood with this girl, the more familiar she looked. Gears were turning in his head, Simon knew he recognized that blue hair from somewhere. Rosie, his best friend and girl he had been ogling over for years, was an active member of the gay-straight alliance. That's where he had seen this girl! He didn't know her personally, but he knew that she was an active member of the club, only because of the hair.
Simon wasn't going to leave unless if she left at this point, only because she ~basically challenged him. Gryffindors never refused a challenge...
He leaned against the wall to get comfortable, crossing his arms nonchalantly across his chest. "So, aren't you, like, co-captain of the gay-straight alliance or something?" he asked her, blinking at her questionably, although he knew the answer already. "It's a bit hypocritical of you to be hating on people, or beings, that are 'different' when you're a part of an organization who fights against that." he told her, curious to how she'd react. A part of him thought maybe he should just use 'the voice' on her to make her leave - but this was almost fun - and he didn't like to control people.

Cassia ought to take a minute to rethink her words, come to her senses or something, but in her mind this was perfectly natural. Half-vampires were to be feared, as she always had throughout her life. However, when he mentioned her position in the Gay-Straight Alliance, it was as if somebody had hit her head with a brick. After all, she was captain and.... a part of her understood, right away, why he'd come up with it. Because homosexual people, for starters, had been targets of prejudice for the longest of time, all of it very much unfounded. And she understood he was trying to make a parallel with half-vampires, even if for her mind this was hard to accept.
For a whole minute, she remained silent, avoiding his gaze and trying not to stutter. Better to regain her voice and recollect thoughts. When she finally trusted herself to speak well, she turned to him again. "You're right. I am, and... maybe I haven't been fair on you. I- I did grow up hearing a lot of talk about half-vampires, but I.. suppose... I should take some time to think about this. I'm sorry." This was as honest as she could be right now, fearing or not. He'd proved not to have attacked her so far, and she imagined there were many other things she'd been taught that were wrong. simon sixten svendsen

May 2025Simon watched as his words slowly started to sink in. It appeared that gears were turning in her little blue haired head. The words that left her mouth now almost sounded apologetic...? This sudden change of heart almost made his head spin, but he was somewhat relieved he wasn’t going to have to go back and forth with this girl in the dungeons any longer. Simon honestly wasn't expecting her to give in so quickly after all of the hateful words that spewed from her mouth before.
When she told him she may need some time to reflect on that matter, and that she was sorry, his head cocked to the side. Only because it actually seemed genuine. Simon swallowed, icy blue daggers falling on her awkwardly now, ”Uh-yeah-” he started awkwardly, his mouth gaping open stupidly for a second because he wasn't expecting her to give in so easily. ”Yeah, it’s fine..” the half vampire said with a clenched jaw. Simon was expecting to exchange a few more words with her, not have her give in like that.
Bouncing on the balls of his feet to asses the situation, he shoved his hands into his hoodie pockets, "That's unfortunate you've been ignorantly misinformed about my 'people'." he said with an unapologetic shrug, "For the record, half vampires don't typically drink from the source." he informed her dryly. Simon wasn't nearly as angry as he was a few moments ago, since the girl seemed to come around. Now he could leave if he really wanted to since she wasn't challenging him anymore.
