Cassiopeia should have known better than to expect only anger from Priscilla. The other Ravenclaw had been part of her life for so many years, to the point she knew of her disposition for violence - after all, Cassia herself was a victim of it. For two long, torturous years, to be more exact, in which the cheerful witch had to teach herself how not to care about other people’s opinions; at least, when they had nothing but the cruelest of intentions. She’d turned into a bright, talented wizard, whose disposition for friendship and care for other people was immeasurable, and who could only hope but bring light into the corners of their world. If she could change one person’s life for the better, then she’d made one damn of a great job being herself. People like Priscilla, however, were set on making others miserable and- Kinsey got caught in the way.
Gossip and whispers were both a crucial part of life experience at Hogwarts. If you didn’t know what happened at school, you knew nothing - Cassia knew it better than most people, because how to bring her friends light and beauty if she didn’t know what made them sorrowful? She had to work with what she knew in order to show them life could continue just as good as it had always been even after terrible events; and that no matter what, there’d always be a great pair of shoes and matching outfits just waiting for them around the corner. Even so, what happened to Kinsey was pure evil. It made her regret having talked to Priscilla in every sense, earlier that very same week. Apparently, her friend had been thrown down a stair after a terrible discussion and while it didn’t properly surprise Cassia, she was stunned. It fit Priscilla, but so out in the open? She could only hope the staff would do something but a single detention.
During dinner time, Cassia had already eaten on the kitchen - a place she’d known for some years now -, and went straight towards the infirmary. Convincing the nurse she had a right to see her friend wasn’t difficult. Her steps, however, were slow; careful, wondering to herself if this was a good idea, before taking a deep breath and realizing no matter what, she needed to show her friend she was there for her when needed. Inside a small bag, the Ravenclaw girl had brought some of her favorite makeup and a few hair products. She would never let Kinsey stay at the infirmary without taking care of herself and her skin! Not for one day. No, no, to Cassia, every girl deserves the best treatment, including cosmetic ones.
“Bonsoiiiiir!” Cassia couldn’t help but smile soon as she set foot where her friend was ‘hidden’. The place was terrible, the type that had few decoration and could make a girl depressed in hours, but the sight of her friend, no matter how hurt, made her happy; knowing Kinsey was alive and with no apparent need to be transferred to another hospital made her that much joyful. In fact, she couldn’t hide her shock upon seeing somebody else there- “Oy, Riley! Oh, it’s good night in french.” An explanation was needed though she had eyes set on the boy second then back to her friend. “Jesus Christ, Kinsey! I can’t believe what happened, I swear, if I could throw her on a bottomless pit, I would. For you.” Bit her lip, before sitting next to Kinsey, after making sure there was enough space for her cute bum and persona. “Not that it should be done, or that it’s morally right, but- you had me worried sick. I wasn’t sure what time was the best to see you so I waited until everybody would be busy eating.”
Then, a deep breath. She was trying not to speak too fast, but she talked nonetheless. Words, however, weren't entirely meaningful, so she had her bag resting somewhere on the bed and caught one of Kinsey's hands with her own, gently. “How are you?”
