It was a Hogsmeade weekend, and Rose still couldn't quite wrap her head around being in the village as an adult instead of a student. It had been almost a full year since she graduated and yet she still caught herself turning towards the castle every time she had to exit Hogsmeade. She didn't go there often - there wasn't much reason to, unless she was visiting students - but every time she made the same mistake.

Today, Rose was visiting a student, and a very important one at that. His Majesty the Head Boy of Hogwarts, also known as her baby brother, Hugo. She hadn't exactly told Hugo she was going to be stopping by Hogsmeade, but she couldn't imagine a reason he wouldn't be coming. It wasn't like the Head Boy could get detention and miss the village trip. Rose's eyes widened when she had another thought. What if Hugo was here with a girl? Oh, that would be just perfect. She had a new spring in her step when she continued down the street, her eyes peeled for her baby brother.

Hugo loved Hogsmeade weekends. Even when he didn't really have anything going on (like this month), it was always nice to get out of the castle. He was actually having a pretty good year, enjoying getting to know Piper better and surprisingly he was liking his responsibilities as Head Boy. He had an excuse to be out after hours, which was the best. Might he abuse that a bit sometimes? Sure, but not in a bad way. He just went on more patrol duties than he was technically "supposed" to. 

He walked into the village, looking around and deciding he might as well go to Zonkos. He always liked to pick up a few things from there. As he walked, he saw a familiar person in front of him. "Rose?" he called, hurrying to try and reach her. Did he really just run into his older sister here? What was she doing?

Blast – she had been facing the wrong direction! Rose whirled around when she heard her brother call her name. She wondered if she ought to act surprised or just go with the flow. She decided on the latter, meeting Hugo halfway between the pair of them. “Hi, Hu! I was just looking for you!” Rose’s gaze roved around, but it looked like Hugo had come well and truly alone – there wasn’t anyone hanging off to the side, waiting for him to finish his conversation with his sister. No girlfriend, either. Rose wasn’t sure how she felt about that, but she wasn’t going to ask Hu about his romantic entanglements. Nope, that would bring too many questions about her own life.

“Want to get into trouble?” Rose was more of a troublemaker than she was given credit for. Sure, she liked rules, but she had her parents’ fondness for breaking them under the right circumstances, too. There was no righter circumstance than getting her brother (His Highness) to do something fun with her.

Hugo couldn't help but smile when he saw Rose. Man, it was just good to see her! He hadn't realized how strange it would be to be at Hogwarts without her, but it was. He was just used to having her around all the time. "Oh yeah? Am I in trouble or something?" he teased. In all honesty, he was a little surprised. She came all the way to Hogwarts to see him without saying something? How did she know he was even going to show up ... though really the only thing that could keep him away from the little village was detention. 

He laughed at her question. "Don't I always?" Hugo loved messing around, though he did happen to like it more when he could do it without getting caught. Actually, that was one thing he was quite proud of, his ability to pull pranks without proof that he did it. Maybe that explained how he got chosen as Head Boy. Hugo still thought it was a bit of a miracle. "What do you have in mind?" he asked, tilting his head as he watched her.

Hugo asked if he was in trouble, and Rose rolled her eyes. “If you were in trouble, you’d know it.” Rose wouldn’t be nearly so pleasant if she had to tell Hugo off for something – especially not if their mother had sent Rose in her stead. Luckily for both of them, if Hugo had done any wrong, their mother hadn’t caught wind of it, so they were both safe. “Why – is there something I should know about?” She asked, narrowing her eyes at him. Why that was his first thought, she didn’t know.

Rose grinned when her brother made his comment about always wanting to get into trouble. When he asked what her plan was, Ro shrugged. “Do I have to think of everything in this family?” It had been her idea to get up to no good in the first place. Hugo could at least pull his weight a little.

Hugo laughed when Rose said that if he was in trouble he'd know it. Well ... she was right about that, as much as he hated to admit it. He could normally tell by the expression on her face if he was in trouble. He held up his hands in an innocent gesture when she asked if she should know about something. "No no! Nothing new here. Just getting into the same sort of things I always do." He smirked, still proud that the fact he was Head Boy this year hadn't changed who he was. He still had fun with his pranks just like he always had. 

Hugo shrugged back at her question. "No ... but when you do show up it's normally because you already have thought of something." At least, that's what he knew from experience. "BUT if you do want me to come up with something, I definitely can for you, sis," he teased. Wow, that was another thing he missed. Teasing his big sister.
