amortentia:
lilies, ocean air, ink : Aurora tends to fall for those guys who are the exact opposite of what her parents want for her. She likes intelligence and the guys who have goals not the ones who follow what their parents tell them to do. Determination, confidence. Dance skills will definitely perk her interest, not to mention those quidditch players and their bodies.
boggart:
She's honestly scared of heights. She doesn't like them at all. Her dad took her flying once when she was child. Nothing traumatic happened, she just was scared out of her wits.
overall personality:
Aurora is the poster child of the pureblood Lestrange family. She stays out of trouble and stays in the background. All of her attention comes from her academic success. She is incredibly silent and hardly talks to anyone other than a few close friends, her “students” or class and her family. But when she speaks, she doesn’t speak as if she is meek or naïve. Her voice is strong and confident in everything she says. Aurora is also highly opinionated. She is smart and knows what she wants. Aurora is crazy determined to become an amazing Healer and wants to try and avoid what ever her parents have planned for her.
Aurora is incredibly polite and proper. But when you get her talking she is honest and knowledgable but she is blunt. She has no problem saying things and will end up saying them. Socially, Aurora is a bit slow. She doesn’t really know how to hang out or let loose. She is constantly in a book and doesn’t like small talk. She doesn’t really speak to her romantic interests or even pay mind to them if she has one. To people who annoy her, Aurora will just ignore them. She has no time to give them and won’t. At this moment, Aurora is trying to fix herself socially. She has exceeding everything for her academics and it has given her a whole new world.

history:
Aurora was born not too long, on the quiet morning of the last day of March. She was born right in the Lestrange Estate, second child and last to the Lestrange couple as well as the only girl.
Aurora grew up in an old fashion world. Everything was proper and everything was done with the means of eyes always watching. Her parents were never abusive or incredibly strict. But they did lay the ground rules to their way of living and expected the two children to follow them. Triumphs were rewarded and rule breaking came with punishment, nothing extreme, but anything they enjoyed was taken from them.
Most of Aurora’s childhood was filled with fancy clothes and training. While being an infant, she was dressed by her mother and taken around to the largest events. Everyone adored her and she was the shiny new toy of Morgana. And Morgana knew how to keep her shiny. As soon as Aurora began to walk and talk, tutors came. Home schooling and constant education was given to the little girl. They taught her how to speak properly, how to read, how to write, how numbers worked and what was expected of a pureblood lady.
“Mother can I go out and play?” would be her constant question and always replied with, “Darling, we Lestrange women don’t play outside. We play inside.” And her mother would point to her head with a simple smirk. Aurora was never one to push her mother or father and just accepted the answer. Aurora never got dirty and hardly spoke out. She was to be gentle, quiet and in the shadows. Except, you will never see Aurora like that now.
Times flew. She followed her mother around after being dressed by her mother and introduced to the social life of the pureblood society. Most of the girls she had to sit next to were not intelligent like her. They were catty and always gossiping or bragging. It led Aurora to becoming the silent character she is. She knew any topic she really wanted to speak about or any opinion she threw out there would get her the attention that was not welcomed. But when her letter from Hogwarts came, Aurora was given a door that came with freedom from the norms of her mother’s world.
Her first departure was one she would never forget. Her father and brother were off to the side laughing about some quidditch play they recent saw. Her mother bent down to her height and smiled. “Use this time here, to live. Don’t worry about your future. We have that all set up for you. Just work hard in your studies and be a child, or teenager.” Her mother paused to give her a hug. Everything she said was a stress relief until she realized, she had no say in anything. She didn’t know what they had planned or what was to become of her. That was something that scared her the most. “Now, there are some people you must stay away from Aurora. Stick to the Slytherins, the children you’ve grown up with.” Her mother’s eyes were serious but sad, “There will be some children named Weasley or Potter. Whatever you do, do not interact with them.” Her mother glanced back at the Lestrange men. “And even if you are not a Slytherin, I still love you.” After that she was shoved off onto the train and pulled into a compartment with her brother and his friends.
The sorting ceremony was something exciting for Aurora. She was to be put in a new home with people similar to herself. They always spoke of Slytherin. Her father was of such and so was her brother. Her mother went to school in France. Everything just pointed to her being in Slytherin. But when the hat called out Ravenclaw, everyone who knew her or of her name gasped. She wasn’t to like majority of the Lestrange. The walk was chilling, but she made it and some of the girls were more welcoming than the ones she grew up with.
Warming up a bit difficult for Aurora. She was now on her own. No one there to tell her what to think, what to wear, what to eat. It was completely open. Her first night she stuffed her face. She kept to uniforms and on her off days, traded clothes with some of the girls she slept next to. All her classes were highly enjoyable and she given the chance to stuff her mind as much as her mouth. Aurora always wanted to do her work and had no problem reading on a bench while other kids played in front of her. Knowledge was her escape and began building her character.
Aurora spent her holidays at the castle locked up in the library. She denied going home saying she was doing what her mother told her to do. It was acceptable and never question.
The summer back was a daze. Aurora felt out of place at home now. She never had to speak and now all she wanted to do was speak. She wanted to jump into her father and brothter’s conversations but was constantly hushed. She then realized, this was not the life she wanted to live and she needed to find a way to get out of it.
Second year, she continued as her first. She learned and spoke up. She led discussions and proved herself and her worthy. Third year came and she was still onto her studies. She didn’t care about her hair or learning about makeup, or sneaking witch weekly from her mother. Aurora just wanted to learn and grow. That summer though, changed a lot of her. She finally found what she wanted to be and lost her grandmother. She wasn’t close to her but she spent many weeks at Mungo’s visiting her. Aurora experienced a little bit of the medical magic and wanted nothing more to be a part of that and save her grandmother. She could save her but she did begin to build a path that strayed away from her parents’.
Her studying and reading became more intense. She was continually pulling books beyond her level and exceeding expectations of her professors. She wanted to her into the healer training program but didn’t want to get lost in the sea of trainees, she wanted to stand out. Her fifth year came and she excelled in her OWLS. It gave her a little time to breathe and before her sixth year, puberty and a sense of appearance struck her. As well as her mother insisting on teaching her.
Her sixth year was met with rituals and schedules. She would wake up earlier than normal and get ready like all the other girls, makeup and hair. She’d then go eat and read during breakfast. She didn’t accept any free periods and accepted many advance courses. She didn’t branch out socially but increased academically.
Now Aurora is entering her seventh year. She is left with a free period exceeding what was required and left moments to slack off. Most of her classes are predicted to be spending time working on NEWTS studying their subjects. Most of the books they used, Aurora already read them and practically memorized them. Aurora is now left with nothing to do but actually be a teenager, which she isn’t quiet use to.
