Recently Gryffindor had been rather disappointing in terms of quidditch, watching from the bench wasn’t exactly fun when you felt like you could be an asset to the team. It was upsetting but Eve had only made the team as a reserve but she really wanted the chance to compete at some point, maybe it just wasn’t meant to be this year. Hopefully in her seventh year she’d have the opportunity to grace the field and show everyone what she was made of. Even though she had such a passion for the sport it wasn’t something she was interested in making a career out of, the young Finnigan wanted to become a dragonologist. Or something that involved working with magical creatures, she enjoyed being around them. Even the most dangerous ones.
Dressed in some athletic gear Eibhleann made her way down the entrance hall with hopes she could go for a long jog to take her mind off the recent defeat. The young Irish girl often jogged to clear her mind when something was bothering her or upset her. All she wanted was Gryffindor to win for once, if they were performing badly why not switch them with the reserve team, they were already losing so they didn’t have much left to lose. It was most likely they’d come last this year anyway and unfortunately Eve wasn’t a fan of losing, she never had been.

The third Quidditch match of the year had seen Gryffindor play Slytherin, and Parvati had had every hope that Gryffindor would be victorious. Especially after they had lost the first match of the year against Hufflepuff back in November, her House had been in need of a comeback. She knew how hard the Gryffindor students—and especially Sav—had worked since that loss, and it should have paid off for them. Sav had put so much of his worth on his success at Quidditch, and it hurt her to watch as Slytherin won by well over a hundred points, even before they had captured the Golden Snitch.
Hopefully, she thought, the losses wouldn't put Sav at a disadvantage when it came to his potential to play professionally. She hadn't bought him a new broomstick just to curse him, although she was beginning to wonder if maybe that had had something to do with it, too.
With a little bit of free time on her hands, Parvati had decided to go outside and get some fresh air. Now that it wasn't as cold as it had been in winter, she hoped that it would be more refreshing than regrettable. As she was walking through the Entrance Hall, she noticed Seamus and Lavender's daughter, Eibhleann, was also making her way outside. Being that Eibhleann was one of her best friend's children—and not to mention a Gryffindor who also happened to be on the Gryffindor Quidditch team with Sav—Parvati had always thought of Eibhleann (or "Eve", as she was known) as one of her own.
She smiled warmly as she approached the young woman. "Alright, Eve?"

It was apparent that the gryffindor team had worked incredibly hard. Maybe it was possible the other teams were working just as hard as them? It still upset her to see her team and house lose. The team had vouched to make sure this didn’t dampen their spirits and continue to work just as hard, if not harder. Hopefully they’d be a victory soon, you could tell the other gryffindor students were feeling the loss and quidditch was a very competitive sport in the school. Nobody wanted to lose. More practice meant less running for the young Irish girl and running was something that she enjoyed. It helped her keep healthy and clear her mind. She was quite happy the scenery on the grounds was so beautiful, it kept her mind off the burning pain in her legs while she ran.
As Eve was about to walk down the concrete stairs into the ground, she heard someone call her name. Who on earth could that be? The brunette turned around and blue eyes scanned the entrance hall until they landed on a familiar face. “Parvati!” Her thick Irish accent escaping through her excitement. She had particularly grown up with the MacMillan family as her mother and Paravati were great friends through Hogwarts and had been ever since. Eve grinned and walked casually toward her, “It’s so great to see you.” Eve grinned slightly. Even though she had intended to go jogging to lift her mood, seeing Parvati had certainly done the trick.

“Parvati! It’s so great to see you.”
Parvati’s smile widened at how excited Eibhleann clearly was to see her, the young woman walking back towards her. It didn’t seem to matter that she was her Head of House and the school counselor and that she was nearly always around because that was her job to be there and be “Madam Macmillan” to most of the school. Honestly, the reaction that she had sparked in Eve was made even better by the fact that she was usually around, and Parvati laughed softly. (If only her sons thought that she was so cool!)
“You know you’re always welcome in my office, love,” Parvati assured her, holding her arms open for a hug as the bangles on her wrists moved along with them. Provided that she wasn’t meeting with someone else at the time, she always tried to remain accessible for those who wanted or needed to speak with her for any reason. “Were you going outside?”

Being part of the Finnigan family meant that she met a lot of her parents' friends, which was important to her mother especially. Parvati had been around since Eibhleen could remember and she’d grown close with her, it was especially nice to have her at Hogwarts when Eibhleann first started. During her first year she needed that friendly face to keep her going, especially when she had began to miss her parents, she hadn’t been used to being away from them for so long. But with Parvati’s help she began to fit in better and was able to overcome the feeling of being homesick every day.
Eibhleann wrap her arms around Parvati and smiled, “I know, I’ve been quite busy with studying and practice.” The young Irish girl let go and stepped back, she wondered how Parvati felt about gryffindor losing, she was their head of house after all. Eibhleann nodded, “Yes, I was going to go for a jog to lift my spirits up and keep my mind off losing..” Eibhleann trialed off slightly.

"I know," Eibhleann told her as they hugged. "I’ve been quite busy with studying and practice." That had a tendency to happen, Parvati knew, especially as students got into their OWL and NEWT years. Eve answered that she had been going outside, though. "Yes, I was going to go for a jog to lift my spirits up and keep my mind off losing…"
"Eve," Parvati shook her head and sighed. "It's not your fault—or Sav's, or anyone else's," she reassured her. It happened sometimes, in Quidditch and in life in general. Even though she did occasionally question herself as to how she had had the rotten luck to end up loving and marrying a man who got another woman pregnant as they were trying to start their own family and why that woman had been Pansy Parkinson, of all people, she had been trying to move herself past that. It was what it was, especially with both Pansy and Marcus Flint dead for over a year, at that point.
"You all did wonderfully," she smiled. It really wasn't their fault that their Keeper, Isabel Oliveira, had been knocked off of her broomstick or that their Seeker, Jace Hunter, had been blocked from reaching the Snitch by a Bludger. "And I'm proud of you."
Parvati wasn't really one for athletics, herself, but she glanced in the direction of the door. "Do you want me to join you?" she asked.
@finnigan OOC: Just as a note, Parvati didn't start working at Hogwarts until April 2023, after the kidnapping site plot when then-headmaster Neville decided Hogwarts needed a counselor.

It had been great to have another friendly face at Hogwarts, she’d been quite happy after Parvati joined the Hogwarts staff. Although Eibhleann hadn’t really been to see her in her office as of recently. The young Gryffindor didn’t have long until she entered her seventh and final year of Hogwarts and the thought had been quite nerve wrecking for the young girl. Maybe she should take her up on her offer and pop by her office one day? It could possibly ease her anxiety slightly, especially when she didn’t know what they future held. All she knew was that she'd most likely move back to Ireland and get her own place there after graduating. She’d need to stand on her own two feet after she graduated, otherwise what was the point?
The brunette smiled slightly, “I know, we all worked incredibly hard. It’s just disappointing..” Eibhleann shrugged her shoulders slightly, the smile on her porcelain skin disappearing and her bright blue eyes looked to the floor. It was hard to admit defeat, it had been even harder admitting defeat to the slytherin team. The gryffindor and slytherin rivalry had been going on for centuries. Losing them was like a kick in the teeth, the majority of the slytherin students were quite eager to rub it in. The young girl looked back up at Parvati and beamed slightly, “Thank you Parvati, that means a lot coming from you.”
Eve peered at the door and laughed slightly, “I would offer for you to join me but I didn’t know if you’d keep up!” She giggled slightly. She did want to go for a jog but if Parvati wanted to join her she’d happily settle for a brisk walk around the grounds. Enough to break out a small sweat at least. She had the rest of the week to go for a jog.

"I know, we all worked incredibly hard. It’s just disappointing…" Eibhleann said of Gryffindor's unfortunate loss to Slytherin. Parvati watched as the girl looked down at the floor for a moment. It probably would have been easier, Parvati imagined, if the score hadn't made it seem as though Gryffindor hadn't played at their best. She knew that they had, though, and hopefully Blaise and his students all recognized that, too. Slytherin had simply had a better match.
When she mentioned how proud she was of how well Gryffindor had done—even with their not having won—Eibhleann perked up a little and thanked her, saying that it meant a lot coming from her.
"I would offer for you to join me," Eve then laughed at Parvati's asking if she wanted her to join her outside, "but I didn’t know if you’d keep up!"
"I can't promise anything," Parvati acknowledged, laughing along with Eve, "but I'll give it a go." She'd made it through the dueling lesson that Harry (or "Professor Dent", considering that she was among the few who actually knew it was him in disguise) had thrown at them in spite of her hesitation after trying to keep a dragon at bay had landed her in St. Mungo's, hadn't she? Besides, it was only March; the weather hadn't had time to become unbearable yet. It wouldn't be so bad.
