-Summer 2023- @will
There had been an incident in the Vaults. Now, incidents weren't unheard of. It happened at Gringott's from time to time. That was where Scylla came in. To keep incidents out of the local news. While Gringott's happened to be the only wizarding bank in the UK bad rep could till affect business. Not to another bank, but to individuals that believed "home safes" was safer than the bank.
So, here Scylla was. Doing damage control. A security Troll had gone berserk deep in the vaults a week ago. Thankfully no clients had been in the area, so Scylla didn't have to worry about non-employees or contractors. But that still meant she had a few people to contend with. The goblins were easy to handle. Being part goblin herself, she knew how they thought (because she thought the same way). Bad publicity meant less business, which meant less gold for the bank. Goblin were greedy creatures, so the more gold the better. Plus, Gringott's bank didn't like the Ministry much. It was easy to get the goblins to sign a non-disclosure agreement. The really issue was the Curse Breaker that had witnessed the event, and the Security Troll trainers. Especially because a few of them had been injured.
Scylla made swift work of the most senior trainers. They knew the protocol. If they didn't sign the paperwork, Gringott's would end their contracts and never use their services again. That was a big deal considering how much business the bank was to them. Then, there was the younger trainer that was hospitalized. To be tactful Scylla waited until they were discharged. When the finally spoke with the trainer, a very green trainer by the name "Isla Doyle", Scylla had figured out how to sell the discloser. This girl was quite passionate about trolls. If the news found out about the event, it could spell bad news for security trolls everywhere! Who would hire them if the Wizarding World was convinced trained trolls were dangerous? And what might happen to the trolls under employment? What if it increased violence against trolls? Yes, there was also an undisclosed buyout, but that wasn't the selling point for the girl. It was the safety of the trolls.
Now, Scylla only had one more person. The Curse Breaker that really shouldn't have been there but was, Will Windsor. Scylla knew who he was. She knew exactly who she was about to take on. British Royalty. Heir to the throne. But still very much a child. A very passionate child, from what she'd heard from the hospital. He'd been by the bedside of the injured security Troll trainer for days.
Scylla had already sent the notice to Mr. Windsor, telling him he needed to report to her office. Now, she was just waiting for him. She sat behind her desk, writing what looked to be a long an elaborate document. Then, the door opened. Scylla didn't look up from her writing.
"Take a seat, Mr. Windsor," was her quick 'greeting'.
