Outside of the greenhouses at Longbottom manor life was just a little boring for Phil at the moment. He wanted to keep meeting people he hadn’t seen in awhile but he was starting to run out of friends. At least friends he didn’t think it would be weird for him to go meet. There were other people he wasn’t close enough to just go looking for them without it feeling awkward. That and Phil always felt awkward anyway so that piling up didn’t help. Plants were really the only thing going on in Phil’s life which to many would be sad but he was happy with it if just a little lonely. He did have a few chores, one of which was stopping by the ministry of magic for some official permits for a few plants more on the dangerous side of things.

Phil cleaned up, which was always a task as he seemed to have dirt on him at all times. Just part of working with plants all day long. Once ready Phil apperated just outside the ministry building, it always an imposing and impressive building. Walking in it was the usual amount of people walking back and forth. Papers in hand and busy looks on their faces. Phil couldn’t imagine having a desk job, it just seemed so boring to him. While his sister, Alice, worked for the ministry she had more of a hands on job as well. Taking care of accidental magical mishaps, another job he couldn’t really see himself doing. All Phil ever wanted to do was be around plants. Thinking about his sister he decided to make a small detour from the permits office to her office. He knew where it was as he had stopped by once before so retracing his steps wasn’t that hard.

Finding the department easily he walked in as didn’t see his sister right way. Phil decided to ask for some help in the typical brother way as he found someone else who worked in the department. “Hi, I’m looking for Alice Longbottom. She’s about this tall, blonde and very annoying?” Phil joked as he made the hand motions for her height, normally he would never say something like that but this is his sister after all, he was allowed to he felt.

Alice had just finished a job. She supposed she had to be thankful for people who couldn't do magic properly. It kept allowing her to earn a living after all. Still, some assignments weren't not as fun as others. And as she returned to the department, she was rambling away about the recent one she was on to a male colleague. [break][break]
"Three sizes too large, Barney," said Alice. "That's how big his feet were after his incantation has gone wrong. And they were not clean feet either. In fact, they smelled like..." She then stopped when she saw her brother. Barney asked her to finish and she turned to him. "Oh... they smelled just terrible." She then stepped over to her brother and smiled. "Phil, you're here. Why are you here? I mean, you can be here and I'm happy to see you, just... well I sound awkward when I'm curious, don't I?" She was happy to see her brother as always, even if they didn't get along at times.
