Jessie nodded in agreement when Simon said that you could be known for worse things. That was true, at least she had a positive reputation. She watched for his reaction towards her newfound flirting. A small part of her was disappointed, because it seemed as if he was holding back somewhat. He was probably worried that she might flip out on him, which had happened a number of times in the past. Still though, the smile on her face remained as she said, "Well, decide soon. Your opportunity is fading," she teased, elbowing him in the side. Despite her words, Jessie was pretty sure that he would have all the opportunity in the world to take her on a date, if he wanted. She was stuck in his mansion after all. She watched as he prepped himself to paint, cracking joins and all. Simon asked what she was going to paint, leaving her wide open to more flirty banter. Having not yet set her wine down, she began reaching for another sip, and casting him a quick, but sultry look from over her glass. "Maybe... care to model for me?" she asked, unable to help the grin spreading across her face. Jessie wanted to blame the flirting on the wine, but it definitely hadn't been long enough. Again, she wasn't sure how well she was doing. But she hoped it had gotten his attention. simon sixten svendsen

Simon was restraining himself. There were mental boundaries he was used to following that he suddenly felt himself pushing, but surprisingly, Jessie was the one inviting such actions. He could sense her intentions but he was pushing them aside - partially because he was honestly a tease. Hell, it was a part of the game. They were new to this sort of banter, so he couldn't get over the fact felt like he shouldn't be doing it. But Simon couldn't help when a cute girl was being assertive...
The young man chuckled when the lioness elbowed him in the side, saying he better hurry and make up his mind, stating that his opportunity was fading. His Gryffindor side loved to challenge Jessie. It was what they were used to. "'ey, you already know I'm not the best when it comes to deadlines..." he told her, a shit eating grin crossing his boyish features. Simon enjoyed yanking her chain to watch her reactions, it was cute. Simon shrugged nonchalantly, "It can be whatever you want it to be." he flipped it back to her, taking a sip. Simon had never actually gone on a date before, if he had, he would have certainly brought a blanket and food.
Jessie shared that she would paint him and he snorted, but nodded along to the idea, mentally noting that sultry look she gave him. "Oooh. So, if that's what we're doing... you be sure to get my good side now." he insisted to her, ruffling his hair and offering her a rare dazzling smile to paint. Simon switched sides so that he was now sitting closer to the lioness now, careful not to knock over any glasses in the process. He grabbed a skinnier brush, "I am going to paint you too, then." he declared, he'd be able to incorporate that green he previously dabbed onto the canvas. "Lemme show you how to hold that brush.." he extended a hand with a skinner brush for her, his cold hands adjusting her grip and placement gently, "Kind of like a pencil, or a quill, but kind of not.." he said with a shrug, releasing his hand from hers and reaching to take another sip.

Jessie laughed out loud when he told her she knew about his relationship with deadlines. "Right... they are practically nonexistent to you," she replied, matching his grin. Her thoughts were now on the the explosive project they had to work on together. What a disaster it had been. Her attention was refocused on the rather attractive boy beside her. Her stomach was doing little flips, as he mentioned that this occasion could be anything she wanted it to be. If only he knew what she truly wanted it to be. It was too complicated for that, at this point in time. Jessie knew that she couldn't possibly be the only girl in his life. Especially because she knew he probably didn't see her as anything more than her tutor, for now. But some flirting went a long way sate her, for the time being. The girl rolled her eyes as Simon said she better get his good side. Even though every side of him was a good side. His smile was contagious however, and she could feel her cheeks starting to ache from overuse. Her skin tingled when he switched sides and sat closer to her, catching her off-guard. Probably the closest they had ever been to each other. She stared at him in surprise, after taking another drink of her wine. "Paint me? I don't think I'm up to par. And don't paint me like one of your French girls. I'm not ready to get naked in front of you. Yet." she admitted, throwing in some more flirting to hide her nerves. She doubted that she would make much of a painting.. Not that she doubted his talent, but she wasn't exactly a muse for anyone. She watched as his hand descended towards hers, holding it and changing the way it was placed. A small, breath caught in her chest, going unnoticed by both of them. "Well, I can hold a pencil," she said lamely, unsure of what else to say. It proved to not be as simple as he made it seem. While she was now heavily distracted, and maybe starting to feel the effects of the wine, Jessie tried to focus on painting Simon. She put her flirty attitude on the back burner for the time being, the over-achiever in her coaxing her to do well on this assignment. Her first few strokes were a little shaky, but Jessie soon found a groove to work with. It was nowhere near Simon's level of artistry, but it was a start. After a few minutes of silently painting, her hand was cramping. The lioness placed her brush down, deciding on a small break, though they were just minutes in. She watched Simon work. His hand moved in a graceful way that she never thought possible for him. She shook her head in awe. simon sixten svendsen

Simon smirked when she stated that deadlines were nonexistent for him. She wasn't wrong, but in his defense, he felt like he gotten better, with her help. Their banter back and forth remained light but quick. This encounter felt different but he wasn't trying to overthink it. He couldn't remember Jessie being so assertive with him but he wasn't complaining, it was just different. A part of him felt like she was messing with him. Hell, if she was, she was doing a helluva great job.
The half vamp shook his head back and forth in protest when she told him not to paint her. Psh, like he was going to listen to her. Simon didn't comment on it, he was just going to do it. Simon ruffled his hair again, "A portrait will do." he started, before she made that French girl comment. Simon hadn't painted a naked form but he could imagine it being fantastic. Although, truthfully, Jessie didn't seem like that kind of girl. Simon quirked an eyebrow at her, figuring he'd play along since she was being so confident. "Oh, so you're suggesting there's a chance?" he asked, a small smirk dancing at the corners of his lips.
His hand easily glided across the canvas, keeping clean, uniform lines. It had a been a good amount of time, he had lost track, which often happened when he painted. Simon felt Jessie watching him, which caused him to pull away from his own creation, "You done already?" he tried to peak at her canvas before asking knowingly, "..or cramped hand?" his eyes fell down to look at her hands.

"Maybe," she joked, as Simon asked if there was a chance of getting her out of her clothes. If he slid his hands through his hair one more time, that opportunity might come sooner rather than later. She watched him work, still impressed. Jessie believed that he could making a killing selling his paintings, even though he was just a few strokes in. He had more talent in his pinky than she did in her entire body. Months ago she wouldn't have believed anyone if they told her Simon could create something artsy at all. Now, however, it made sense. It suited him. She was still watching him as he pulled away, a little ashamed to have been caught. She scoffed, giving him an embarrassed smile, "Done? Not at all." She followed his icy eyes to her own hands, giving him a small nod. "Yeah, actually. But it's feeling better. I guess I need to get my hands in shape," she said, laughing at the absurdity of it. Who knew? With the hand that wasn't cramping, she gestured towards his canvas, "You know, you're crazy good. Like, your stuff should be in art exhibits kind of good. I'm not lying either, it's hard enough for me to admit that you're actually skilled at something," she teased, after admitting her truth. simon sixten svendsen

The Lioness answered 'maybe' to his question. His boyish mind was swirling with confusion and desire at her sudden flirtation. Simon didn't know he wanted to paint her nude until a couple of moments ago. Well, if it was an option... Simon raised his glass and filled his mouth with wine at her response.
Jessie complimented his painting skills, deeming his creations appropriate for a professional exhibit. The words honestly made his heart melt, even when she teased him at the end. Simon had a sudden bout of bashfulness, the moment truly humbling, which he would never admit to her face. He laughed awkwardly, ruffling his hair again, "Thanks Jessie, I appreciate that...truly." the Lion told her, adding a couple of freckles to her nose adorning her heart shaped face on the canvas. "Getting into an exhibit would be a goal but I want to tattoo so I can work on walking canvas'." he shared with her.
The young man reached for her hand, not to hold it romantic way, more to demonstrate a technique he learned in art. Plus, Jessie was driving him mad with flirting, this was a good chance for him to tease her a bit. "If you squeeze right here," he held her smaller palm upwards in his hand and squeezed lightly between the thumb and pointer finger gently with cold hands. "-it will help with cramping."

A warmth spread across her chest when Simon thanked her. "You're welcome," she said, nudging him softly in the side. She had meant every word. Though now she worried his head would get too big from all the praise. She watched him add freckles to her portrait. Jessie reached up to her nose, subconciously touching the places where he had painted freckles on the canvas. The diminutive lioness never knew she had freckles there. Her stomach bounced, realizing the amount of observation that must of taken. A surprised expression shifted onto her face. "Tattoos? Wow...Yeah.. I think that suits you. And it's kind of cool, actually," she said, nodding her head. She could understand the appeal of putting art on someone. Though he was more confident that she. Jessie would never have enough confidence in her talent to put something onto someone else's body. It took guts. When Simon's hand grabbed hers again, her breath caught once again. This time it was enough to make her notice her body's reaction. She could have fainted then and there. She listened as he showed her where to squeeze, before demonstrating. Though his hands were cold, she relished the feeling of having them on her own hands. She struggled for a few moments on how to react, lest she cause him to pull away. Nearly choking on the internal struggle between her excitement and nervousness, she finally said, "Now Simon... If you wanted to hold my hand, all you had to do was ask."Jessie was becoming overwhelmed with the urge to share her feelings with Simon. She suddenly felt overcome with guilt, as if he deserved to know then and there. She ached to confide in him the little secret she had been keeping. A wave of fear stopped her. The reality was that he could, probably would, reject the idea. She knew he was flirting for the sake of flirting, whereas she was flirting to sate whatever desire she held for him. And so she kept her secret for a little longer, buying her time until she was brave enough to tell him. simon sixten svendsen

"So if you ever decide to get your first tattoo, don't forget about me." he told her with an eyebrow waggle. Yes, her compliments would definitely go to his head because he already knew he was good. It was a craft he had practiced for many years so he could be full of himself. In many ways he felt the same way about quidditch.
Simon was able to hold a straight face when she made the comment about holding hands. A small part of him was expecting that one with her behavior today. His hand held hers for a moment longer to challenge her, cupping his paint stained hand on top of hers playfully. As he had her small, warm hand in his, he could feel slightly nervous intentions but there was also desire, which he hadn't expected. Jessie came off as pretty innocent to him, her suggestive comments about getting nude came off as a surprise to him. Maybe it was the wine. She was most certainly a lightweight like she suspected. Simon pulled his eyes to her lips, biting down on his lip, "Nah, I did it to do this.." he started slowly, leaning in toward her with a smoldering look and dabbing his thumb in red paint to smear on her cute little nose with a proud smile. "Looks good." he nodded in approval, grinning at her as he waiting for a reaction.

She thought seriously about letting him give the Lioness's first tattoo. Jessie decided she would, though she didn't know if the wine was affecting her decision at all. It was probably best to think on it another day. She made a mental note to slow down on her consumption. "If you promise to put something beautiful on me, and not some kind of prank, we might have a deal," she said, a thoughtful look on her face. It seemed like something he enjoyed immensely, so she seriously doubted he would make a joke out of it, however. Jessie had remained frozen from the moment he had placed his hands on hers. She still remained stuck, savoring the feeling. She was well aware of how long they had been touching, causing her thoughts to tumble about chaotically. Through a slightly buzzed head, she couldn't help but wonder what he was thinking. Maybe she did have a chance. Or maybe the wine was giving her wishful thinking. Jessie watched his gaze turn into a dangerously smoldering look. As he leaned forward, she found herself struggling to remain still. Every inch of body urged her to move forward, to fall into what was about to happen. Just as she was about to let herself give in, she felt his cold thumb swipe across her nose. Leaning back in surprise, she cast a wild look at him. A few blinks and mere moments later, she reached towards her nose. Seeing paint across her fingers, she had vivid memories of when he swipes ink across her forward. She let out a nervous laugh, hoping that he didn't know what she thought was about to happen. She gave him a nervous smile, a nervous giggle accompanying it. Her heart was still beating frantically. "Well, that's twice that you've stained my face with something. You better not include that in my portrait," she said, unable to think of anything flirty to say. simon sixten svendsen

His icy blue eyes flickered with amusement at her comment, only because he knew that her suspicions of doing something weren't too fair off of his normal shenanigans. "I promise not to tattoo 'Wanker' on your lower back, Jessie." he told her solemnly in a teasing tone, pretending to cross his fingers playfully. Simon shook his head from side to side chuckling, showing he was only kidding. As funny as it was to joke about it, the Lion wouldn't do that to someone. Maybe if it weren't permanent.. Talking about tattooing actually did get him excited though, it was something he was passionate about, he couldn't wait to finally be able to etch skin professionally.
The Lion couldn't help but notice the softness and warmness of her skin as his hand clutched over hers in that prolonged moment. As Jessie froze, Simon sensed that Jessie was probably thinking he was going to go in for a kiss. The thought almost made him feel bad because he didn't want to completely lead her on like that, but with the way she was flirtatiously teasing him today, he felt like it was only necessary. With the alcohol blurring his inhibitions, it would have been the easy choice just to snog her face off right then and there. However, with the way she was talking to him today, it was only a matter of time. There wasn't a need to rush it. Her reaction to the paint on her nose was cute as he expected. Simon froze dramatically as she blinked at him, explaining this was the second time he had stained her face. Simon almost forgot about smearing ink across her forehead but he nodded his head up and down in approval, "Nice, 2 for 2 with no retaliation." he stated in a sports announcer voice, egging her on as he finished his glass of wine. Simon had skin safe paint thinner wipes, or magic, that would take it off, he'd have her chill for a moment with a red nose for now.
Time flew today hanging with Jessie. He was already finished with her portrait. Simon held it out for her, seeking her approval on his latest creation. Her heart shaped faced, dooey caramel brown eyes, cute button nose were perfectly accentuated on the small canvas with flowy brown tresses across the canvas and a small butterfly tangled in it. Since she was all rainbows and kittens, he had to add something there for her. "How's it look, Boss?" he asked, never failing to call her 'Boss' at any given chance because she was in fact one of the bossiest people he knew. "Lemme see yours!" Simon demanded with grabby hands.

Jessie rolled her eyes playfully as he announced his face-painting scores. She was still recovering from the would-be kiss, which resulted in her being unable to come up with any proper flirting. Despite being aware that he probably didn't return her feelings, she had hoped that maybe his hormones would get the best of him. A kiss in that moment would have blown her away. If she was thinking straight though, without the distractions of alcohol and mushy-feelings, she would probably prefer her first kiss to be sober. Not to mention requited feelings. "Well, you're lucky I don't retaliate. I've got a mean streak, y'know?" she teased, before turning back to her portrait of Simon. Jessie was beginning to feel sluggish, probably from the wine. It didn't stop her from continuing to drink though. She didn't know it at the time, but continuing to drink was her way of covering up her disappointment.
The time sped by as she alternated her actions between attempting to paint, drinking more wine, and glancing at Simon's work. When Simon had finished, Jessie was struck with the realization that her painting was probably going to remain incomplete. She hadn't realized how inebriated she was until Simon asked how his painting looked. Jessie looked at it with drunken wonder. "Oh!," she pipped excitedly. "It looks s'good," she declared, giving him an exaggerated grin. Her words were running together. She wondered to herself if she was drunk. Despite the alcohol coursing through her veins, she was absolutely awe-struck at his talent. He had painted things of her that she never knew she had. Just like the freckles. A small part of her thought he had enhanced some features to make her look more appealing. She felt a twinge of embarrassment seep into her, as she turned her painting towards him. "Ta da!" she said, giggling at the lack of work. "I couldn't work as fast as you," she complained, hiding another grin behind her hand.

When Jessie warned that he should feel lucky that she didn't retaliate, he didn't wait to react. "It would be more fun if you did." he egged her on, the Gryffindor spirit inside of him never refusing a challenge. The lioness complimented his painting before showing off her half finished creation. It was off to a good start. The alcohol definitely didn't help with that. The half vamp nodded his head with a smile, "You're a natural." he laughed, never wanting to talk down on someones work. Art was what you made it, he wasn't here to critique. Simon had to admit that he had a lot of time hanging out with Jessie today. He was still trying to process the banter but he wasn't complaining.
With a simple flick and swish, he was able to clean up the supplies and shove it back into the backpack without a worry. Simon pushed himself off of the grass and brushed himself off, offering Jessie a hand up since she was drunk and he was anticipating her needing assistance off of the floor. "One last time..just to help you up." he insisted with a joking tone, unable to hide the chuckle. Now he was conscious of how many times he grabbed her hands and couldn't help but make a comment.
Then, his eyes fell to the bike in the grass. Simon got a look back at Jessie, who didn't look like she should be operating anything with wheels or machinery. "Fuck, I forgot you rode the bike.." he deadpanned at the realization. Simon stuffed his skateboard in the front straps of his backpack and reached for the bike, because he wasn't going to allow Jessie to hurt herself under his supervision. Oh, how the tables have turned.

Jessie choked back another sloppy giggle. She didn't think she was a natural, by any means. The lioness was sure Simon didn't either. It was still funny, especially in her drunken state. She watched her fellow Gryffindor clean up with a grin on her face. When he reached his hand towards her, she didn't quite understand what he was doing. Her thoughts were still sluggish. "Oh," she said finally, giddy to at least be touching him again. She managed to haul herself off the grass. It was harder than it normally would have been. She blamed it on the wine again. Their touch was over as fast as it began, and her lips down turned into the tiniest pout. Her eyes slowly followed his gaze over to the back. "Oppe," she said, another dreamy smile on her face. "It was your idea," she giggled, poking him on his cheek. She once again watched him prep for their departure as he placed his bag on the bike. "I think I can walk at least," she said. It may not be the most coordinated walk, but she was sure she could walk back. She wasn't sure she could steer the bike though, even while walking. She was thankful Simon could manage that. Another 'bout of overdramatic sadness hit her. She was sad to be leaving such a beautiful spot. "Hmm. So pretty," she hummed gazing at the Willow tree one last time as they began walking away. It would have been a beautiful place for a date. simon sixten svendsen

Simon watched as Jessie stood up like a drunk baby deer. The visual caused him to laugh as he reached for the bike by the handle bars and walked it. She poked his cheek and giggled, declaring that she could walk. "You got this!" he encouraged her, keeping a watchful eye over her, ready to help stabilize her at any moment. As she looked up at the willow tree with a dreamy look, he cleared his throat as she stepped back, "Curb." he informed her, pointing at the ground with his free hand, the moment sobering for him at least. A walk that would normally take about three minutes took ten with no assistance from alcohol but they were able to make it home safely.
