Constance was a very happy person right now. So, why not help others to feel the same awy? Being a workoholic had given her temporary satisfaction, sure. But now that she had Rob, her happiness level increased dramatically. She wanted nothing more than for her best friend, Rachel, to feel the same way. So, she did some sneaky sneaking and set Rachel up on a date with none other that Nathan Devereux.
Constance had told them to meet her here at this time for some introduction. They would most likely recognize each other form school, but they weren't very close. Plus, even if nothing romantic happened between them, Constance was sure they could become friends. And who didn't want new friends?
Constance leaned against the door frame of the Fountain of Fair Fortune, waiting for her two friends to arrive. She was going to make sure they were all settled and then she would leave them be.

As of late dating wasn't a thought that crossed Nate's mind often. His busy schedule had him delving into the deepest parts of his mind, not for romantic fantasies but for work and other stressful matters that surrounded the world at the moment. He didn't have much of social life and his love life was as dry as a desert. He hadn't been in a relationship for god knows how long and he swore his talking to women skills had long left him.
Ever since he and River broke up things just didn't fall into place like he thought they would. He wasn't a heartbroken puppy per say, he just felt used more than anything. What he had going on with River was great and all. It was fun while it lasted, but through all the good times they had together, Nate deep down knew that he was playing rebound. River didn't have to say it, it was obvious. At a time where she was hurting over the loss of her boyfriend, Ian, Nate was there to help through the difficult time and they somehow ended up being romantically involved. While they were together it was pretty obvious that she still had feelings for Ian, but Nate continued on with the relationship, regardless. He did so with hopes that River would eventually let go of the memory that was Ian, but more importantly he couldn't end things with her and let her go through the same pain she went through with Ian.
Then Ian came back and they split. He didn't blame River for any of it though. Yes, Nate felt used in the end, but he understood that love worked in the strangest ways and that it was a strong and irresistible feeling. In the end he was happy that he and River remained friends.
As a result, Nate wasn't invested in this whole love game fully, but maybe Constance was right in setting up this date with Miss Hudson. Maybe someone new was exactly what Nate needed in his life. There was only one way to find out; by going on the date. If it wasn't for Cobstance's stubborn persistence, he would have kindly rejected the invitation to the Fountain of Fair Fortune.Nate just kept his fingers crossed that nothing would go wrong.
Putting his jacket on, Nate looked in the mirror located in his bedroom "On point..." he commented at his look. He sported his usual messy hairdo and a casual outfit consisting of a black pair of straight-cut jeans, a white t-shirt, a dark blue (almost black) jean jacket that was folded up to his forearms at the sleeves and a pair of black shoes. Stepping out of his bedroom, Nate walked into the living room of his apartment. Walking over to one of the couches, Nate picked up his wand off of its arm and did a final check of everything.
Once everything was in place, he apparated to the outside of the venue and spotted Constance standing alone outside "I wasn't supposed to bring flowers, was I?" he spoke, a small smile crossing his face.
