appearance:
sunday still has some growing to do but he won't crack six foot. he'll hover around the 5'11 mark all his life. he's got a slightly wiry build that should fill out a little more the older he gets. he has sandy brown hair that he keeps cut short because he wan't stand hair in his eyes or tickling the back of his neck. his right shoulder houses the bite that turned him into a werewolf, a scar that's still just as prominent as it has been since the day it was put there. he doesn't like it showing so he generally keeps his shirt on whenever he's with other people. he's got a simple style, which was hard to keep with all the clothing fads his mother tried to impress on her children but he's very much a jeans and shirt kind of guy, maybe a designer jacket thrown into the mix but not very often.

overall personality:
impatient | something sunday has never been is patient. it's not that he doesn't understand that things take time, it's just that he doesn't like waiting. he's one of those people that makes faces while walking behind someone slow, that curses when traffic is slow moving and if he's eating out and food takes longer than he should he voices his unhappiness. he's working on it, he really is because he knows that once he's out on his own in the real world, it's going to get worse. things will take longer because they're bigger than a late food order or a slow worker. it'll be his dreams and dreams take time, very rarely does anyone get where they want quickly.
protective | his family is his. his to protect and his to hold onto. he'll jump to the defence of his siblings before he'll jump to his own defence because without them he'd be alone and if there is one thing he's afraid of it's being alone. if there is one thing that comes close to how much he hates being alone, it's his hatred of seeing girls cry. so when his sisters cry his first instinct is to find out what's wrong and try and fix it.
ambitious | he knows where he wants to go in life and he's well aware of what he wants to do. the journey to do that is a little intimidating but he's determined. he knows that someone like him doesn't stand much of a chance of gaining the respect of the magical world but he's sure as hell going to try his hardest to change their minds. he'll work his way to the top and while he might hate the slow journey there, it's one he knows he's going to take. he wants to be a voice, for people like him and for people that don't have one that's loud enough.
daring | he might be a realist but he's also one to try new things. if someone suggests something to him, be it something to do, food or a show to watch he's usually willing to give it a go. it doesn't mean he's stupid, if someone tells him to jump off a tower without a parachute, well that's going a little far. he enjoys doing different things but he does have a sense of morality. he's well aware of the fact stupid stunts could get him killed.
argumentative | if there was something that sunday was born to do, it was argue. he likes to argue, he likes the challenge of changing someone's mind or the challenge of trying to make someone see that they're wrong. he hates loosing arguments almost as much as he hates the cold and he'll mull over a lost argument for longer than deemed healthy but he doesn't like to let a loss go. he'll use it to be better next time and he'll use it to try and find different angles. he doesn't like ugly arguments though, ones that are driven by emotion and opinion and descend into yelling at each other rather than fact and logic and in a calm, sometimes even fun, manner.

history:
felix duncan was born to ivy and oliver duncan. a wizard and a muggle who found each other and fell in love. they had two children and started to build the home that some people dream of. that white picket fence, a dog and two point five kids running around a backyard with a tire swing. but fate had other idea's for the small family. all it took was one ill timed camping trip, a favourite of ivy's since childhood, for everything to change, for it all too come crashing down around them. a werewolf attack on the camp ground, olivers wife and daughter killed by the beast before he could do anything to stop it, his surviving child left with a bite that would turn him into the same monster that had killed his wife and taken his daughter from him. it was all too much for the wizard.
felix was left abandoned at the orphanage. the day his father dropped him off he tried to get his father to turn back around, but he didn't. scared and alone, felix didn't understand what was happening. his mother and sister were gone and his father had walked out on him. at six years old it was too much for him to believe so he didn't. he refused to believe that his dad was gone for the first five months, asking without fail every day when his father was coming back for him. he's still not sure what caused him to stop asking but one day he just stopped. he became quiet and almost withdrawn, unwilling to talk to most of the other kids there, with the exception of one or two. it was when he first started having trouble sleeping, he would lie awake for hours at night, often getting in trouble for being awake when he should be asleep though it made him good at pretending to be asleep.
eventually he would be adopted, with one of the boys he was close to. they were adopted by a couple that already had a lot of children but were more than willing to add two more. it was on that day that he would cease to be felix duncan and he became sunday weekly. he didn't really like the name but he didn't want to give his new family any reason to send him back to the orphanage so he accepted it, and eventually he grew to like his new and unusual name. it took him a little while to start to fit into his new family. he was scared that it was all going to go away like it had last time. that something would happen and they would walk away from him and he'd be on his own again. it took about three months for him to start to see that this was his home now, his new parents, eccentric as they were, loved and cared for him and his new siblings and sunday started to find his feet.
he didn't mind being the youngest of such a large family. it meant there was always someone to play a game with, to annoy if he felt bored and when he felt scared there was always a comforting hand or voice if he needed one. slowly his siblings started to go away to illvermony. he didn't like that very much. he'd become accustomed to them being around and while he knew that he'd be joining them when he was old enough it was still hard to see them all off. being the youngest had it's disadvantages at times. when he was the only child at home, that was one of them. not only did it mean that there was no one to keep him company when he needed it, there was no one else to share in the suffering of his mother's latest trends and fads. the worse one he remembers was her juice craze, he still can't look at a glass of juice without shuddering.
the year he was allowed to go to illvermony was one of those exciting times that he looks back on with fondness and a little bit of cringeworthyness when he thinks of how annoying he must have been to his siblings. he found his place in his house and took to lessons like a duck to water. he'd always liked learning and there wasn't a class he didn't like. there were ones he liked more but overall he enjoyed most of them. he found his love of flying and quidditch and learned more about plants that he'd ever imagine he's learned. full moons were hard on sunday, they made keeping up with schoolwork at times hard because of how he'd feel in the days before and the days after a change. he'd get irritable and just a little snappy and he didn't like that so he always tried to keep away from others while it was happening, though he knew he was lucky in some way, he had a brother who suffered through the same affliction, so there was always someone he could complain too that would understand exactly how he felt.
site events reaction:
he knew some of what had been happening in the uk wizarding world, but he didn't know all of it. he'd seen various stories in papers but he'd only really glanced at headlines. after all, he was in america, it wasn't like what was happening there was happening here. he felt like he could ignore it. the damage to illvermony shocked him, he couldn't understand what would provoke someone to do such a thing. when the offer to attend hogwarts was extended to the students, he thought to himself that he should have made more of an effort to keep up with stuff going on over there.
he didn't really want to go to hogwarts, one of the worst things about the uk was that it was cold most of the year and he didn't do well in the cold. he didn't like the cold. he liked the heat, he liked the sun and being able to feel all his fingers and toes. he went though, because he couldn't stay behind without his siblings and while it was hard to leave his parents, he figured it was only for a few months at a time. that was easy. he parents gifted him a ferret to make the change a little easier from him and it worked, the energetic little trouble maker keeps sunday on his toes.
the quarantine is something he despises. he doesn't like being stuck. it makes him feel helpless and that's one feeling he doesn't like. he doesn't understand the need for them to stay in the uk, he knows the arguments of not spreading the disease to the rest of the world but it still sucks. so he's stuck trying to keep himself sane, dealing with the full moon and learning as many recipes and reading as many books as he can while they're locked away from their home.
