Thursday scoured over her Herbology book for a while after Saturday had spoken. She was used to the silence while studying, so it took her longer than it should have to realize that it was maybe too quiet. Saturday wasn't like her, he wasn't one to like sitting still or studying. She looked up from the book to look at him. "I know you can do it. We just need to find a way to make it easier to remember."
She pulled out her potions text and flipped to a previously bookmarked page. "This one, I just know it's going to be in on the exam this year." She pulled the book towards her, so that her brother couldn't see it "What is the Felix Falicis potion also known as" She thought would start slower, but she also wanted to see if he could remember it's ingredients.

Saturday sighed. He knew who he was and what he was capable of. And he just didn’t care enough about classes to want to remember the information given. Sometimes he wanted to, sometimes he felt like it could be cool to be smart and studious and know things, but it just wasn’t who he was. “It’s not that I can’t remember, it's that I can’t make myself care enough about exams.” he admitted. He appreciated her help, but he just wasn’t seeing it happening anymore. He wanted to be a writer, and he had those skills already. Plus, he could use magic well enough and was decent enough at the subjects that interested him to know that he would pass those. She pulled out the potions book and asked him what Felix Falicis was also known as. He shrugged. “Liquid Luck. But that’s easy. Couldn’t tell you what’s in it.” he explained. He also didn’t plan to take potions at the NEWTs level.

Thursday wanted to study. She had been studying pretty heavily the past few weeks, but so was the rest of her house. “It’s not that I can’t remember, it's that I can’t make myself care enough about exams.” She paused and looked endearingly at her brother. She could tell that he was just about done with their study time. But he humored her question, but said that he didn't know what was in it. That was going to e her next question. She closed her book, "Ashy Ashwinder eggs, Occamy eggshell, Murtlap tentacle, something of thyme and rue?" She had been working on memorizing others, but that wasn't too bad. She set her book down and moved up to kiss her brother on the cheek. "Okay, I give in. Let's go outside, and maybe you can sneak something while we're out" She said as she started to pack things back into her overstuffed bag. "Only one stipulation." She smiled up at Saturday "You carry my bag. At least I can dump it somewhere safe"

Thursday looked at him like she was trying to sympathize with his case. He didn’t really need the sympathy, but he knew that Thursday was trying her best, and he had agreed to study with her, so he needed to stop trying to pick a fight and be less on edge. She could see that in him and suggested that they go outside and maybe he could sneak something while they were out there. At least she understood.though he wouldn’t really be sneaking anything. He wasn’t worried about getting caught. Most of the staff were sympathetic to his condition and his mom had written a letter to the school medical staff saying that the use of the legal herb was the most helpful to his pain. It was, after all, strictly used by himself for medical purposes, as far as the school was concerned. “Deal.” he agreed, tossing her bag over his shoulder and his over his back.

Saturday was always there for her when she needed it, and he never asked questions. It was only fair that Thursday try to do the same. It didn't take long for Saturday to agree to her terms and sling her bag over to him. She smiled and stood up. She really had been studying hard lately, getting out into the day would be good for her. Freed from her heavy bag, she felt liberated some how. Thursday loved to learn, she was good t it. But she knew that taking breaks and stepping away from your work was sometimes needed.
Standing up, she stretched "So, where to?"

To his surprise, his sister stood up and decided that he was right. She asked where he wanted them to go and stretched while he stood up as well and picked up her bag as per their arrangement. “Uh, outside, maybe? The lake or something?” he spent most of his time outside, even if it was a lot colder than home, even on the sunny days, it was still better than being stuck indoors. Though the castle was far from in doors, some of the windows didn’t even have glass and the stone build created a very drafty feel.

Thursday wasn't concerned about her own exams. She did want to do some extra studying. But now was a time to spend with her brother. They weren't able to spend as much time with each other as during the summer. So she wanted to take her time with him when she got it. Plus, she could always run though potion ingredients in her head.
Saturday stood up, stretching as well. Then he grabbed her bag. She was glad to the relief. She would probably enchante one of her bags when she turned 17. She figured that there wasn't much growing in her future, but carrying heavier things wasn't uncommon for Thursday. It would be best if she could lighten any load.
"The lake or something?” He didn't seem sure of where he wanted to go, but she agreed anyway. She was fine going anywhere. She nodded and smiled up at her brother. "Alright, let's go."

Thursday agreed to head to the lake with him and seemed a little relieved when he picked up her bag for her. He liked being helpful and prided himself on being a good brother, though sometimes it was still weird thinking of himself as a brother. His siblings mostly just seemed like his close friends rather than siblings. As they walked through the castle, he felt around to make sure he had his supplies in his pocket, he did. Not that he would pull them out in the middle of the corridor, but maybe if the lake was deserted enough he’d take a hit and offer her one as well. Though he knew Thursday wasn’t always up for it. “Sorry i’m taking you away from your study time.” he admitted, starting to feel a bit bad that she might have actually wanted to or needed to study and he couldn’t sit still enough to even try.

Though Saturday technically came after Thursday, and the siblings were around the same age. It was often that Thursday felt like a younger sibling, and Saturday the older. He took good care of her, and she tried to help. She knew that the boy was easy going, that meant that school was hard for him. There were many rules, and lots of work to be done. While Thursday often struggled, herself, she knew that her brother needed the time now. She was feeling well enough now. There were no concerns. Finals were upon them, and then summer.
In a way Thursday thrived in the excitement of final exams. It gave her a focus. Stepping away with Saturday was something that she could do for him. He was a great big brother after all. She could manage to spare an evening from studying, and restudying to be with Saturday.
The two walked through the castle, and Thursday felt a level of freedom, not having a heavy bag around her shoulders. In a way, it felt liberating to be walking around without it. It had been so long since she had done that. She noted her brother feeling his pockets, probably checking to see if he had what he needed.
“Sorry i’m taking you away from your study time.” The girl gave a shrug. "You know I've read through the study materials at least twice." She gave a spin as the walked, letting her skirt and robes twirl in the process. Man she felt lite as a feather. "There are just a few extra things that I feel like I need refresh before the big tests." Also, it wasn't like Thursday needed any specific NEWT classes for a future career. She already knew what her calling was. Though, there were some magical classes that she just wanted to learn the advanced stuff. And, it was her duty to excel in her classes. As a Ravenclaw, and girl that she was. Not that she would boast in any way.

Thursday admitted that she had already read over the study materials twice and implied that she wasn’t worried about the exams. She added that there were just a few things she’d need to refresh on just before the tests and he knew that wouldn’t take her much time at all. He supposed he should have known that their study date today was just for her to help him with his own studying, though he could have saved her the trouble. He knew it wouldn’t work out. He couldn’t really sit still and focus on something so boring that long. These classes didn’t peak his interest anymore, he felt like he knew enough to get him through life and that was all he needed. He was pretty sure his talents were more on the creative side anyway. How was knowing how to brew a potion going to help him write a novel? “Well good, i don’t want to ruin your future by distracting you.” he teased knowing Thursday would never think that way, he supposed some of his other siblings might, but they would at least be polite about it since they knew him. They made it out to the lawns and he instantly felt better with the fresh air in his lungs, he felt less claustrophobic, less trapped. A bit more at ease.

Thursday didn't really need extra study time, though she would always take it. She had agreed to meet up with him to help him study. She knew that, in some ways, it was a waste. Though spending any time with Saturday was never a waste to Thursday. She laughed as he mentioned not wanting to ruin her prospects. "Like you, I don't plan on producing a magical career. You are a welcomed distraction." She said taking his arm and hugging it.
Moving outside the grass and clean air were welcomed. The clouds covered the sun, making it easy on the little part vampires eyes. The two made their way to their chosen spot where they sat down and could relax. Spending time with Saturday always helped put Thursday in a good mood.
