Auror training was turning out to be harder than Gilderoy had first pictured. He knew it wouldn’t be a cake walk for anyone, especially him. Yet he hadn’t been expecting all the stuff he was going through. He couldn’t imagine how the people who weren’t him were actually handling it. Gilderoy still enjoyed it though even with the hard work was doing and the more that was definitely ahead of him. Gilderoy had spent most of the summer so far just working toward his training and being prepared but with the invitation from one of the American families he decided to go to the party. The weekly family had been a little weird and Gilderoy hadn’t had much interaction with them. They all seemed to be named after days of the week, aside from one of them and most appeared to be adopted. Either way Gilderoy wasn’t going to miss a party even if he wasn’t the one hosting this time.
Whatever the reason he wasn’t going to miss a chance to relax from all his training. Gilderoy arrived to the party about half an hour after it started. If he didn’t have to be the first to arrive or set anything up what was the rush. He could show up late and see just what type of party it was going to be. Once there it seemed to be a lively enough party. Many students and recent graduates were there. Presumably that was all that was invited, good call he supposed. Gilderoy already heard rumors of there being a fight or something between one of the weekly kids and Jimmie Blishwick. He hadn’t expected it to be that wild but as long as no one was too hurt than it was turning out to be more interesting than he thought it would.
Gilderoy got himself a drink and surveyed the party, looking for what to do next or any familiar face to talk to.

Silence is the loudest, Parting word you never say. I put your world Into my veins Now a voiceless sympathy Is all that remains. CW: alcohol consumption & cursing One shouldn't be surprised to learn that Sofia Svendsen was heading to the Weekly's Summer Bash. Did she know the family? Not really. Did she know there would be drinking involved? Yes, she had heard a faint rumor. Plus, what teenager didn't throw a party without a little alcohol? Even at Hogwarts, some students had been able to spike the punch; surely, someone would do it here. She knew that Jessie and Simon were coming, seeing as they had left before she had, but she wasn't exactly sure about Lusie. But she was going to find out exactly who was coming and who wasn't. She tried to talk Landon to come, especially since he had only graduated this year, surely he was invited. He told her no that he had work, and she went on her way. She'd find someone else to have a fun time with, drinking required. The minute she entered, her eyes wandering around, taking in the number of people that had arrived, her eyes flashed towards the table that held the refreshments. From the sounds of chatter, she had missed someone getting punched - damn. She shrugged her shoulders, moving through the crowd as she arrived where she belonged - the drinks. Grabbing herself one, she stood there looking around at the people before she realized that someone else had stopped to do the same. Out of the corner of her eyes, she recognized the person - barely that is. "Well, if it isn't Gilderoy Lockhart? Coming to see if someone can hold a party better than you can?" she questioned, raising an eyebrow as she took a drink. She didn't know him that well, but she knew of him - she had read a few of his father's books. Not to say she was a mega-fan like some of the fangirls that pranced all over him back in school. Gilderoy stood there observing the party for a moment with his drink in hand. He had really only come to unwind but he couldn’t help but think what he would have done or done differently at least. Either way it was a well enough party and he didn’t have to worry about party planning issues or thoughts, it was a nice change from his last school year. He heard someone speaking his name and turned toward the voice, finding a blonde girl asking if he was here to see if he had been out done party wise. He smirked slightly, “No, not on this occasion. I came to actually enjoy a party that I didn’t have to plan for a change. That and see who I might be in charge of future Hogwarts parties now that I’m gone.” With that explanation he finally had some of his drink, already spiked before he had gotten to it but that wasn’t surprising. Still it wasn’t too strong. “I’m sadly at a disadvantage as you know my name but I don’t know yours. Care to share or just remain a beautiful mystery woman?”

Silence is the loudest, Parting word you never say. I put your world Into my veins Now a voiceless sympathy Is all that remains. 'No, not on this occasion. I came to actually enjoy a part that I didn't have to plan for a change. That and see who might be in charge of future Hogwart's parties now that I'm gone.' A slow smirk spread on the blonde's face as she nodded her head, face looking like she was musing over her next words. "Well, how does this party fair? Think the Weekly's will take over your reign?" she questioned, peeking over at him for a second. She took another sip of her spiked drink, enjoying the feel of the alcohol slide down her throat. It hummed through her body, warming her with each pulse. And then he asked for her name or if she wanted to remain a beautiful stranger, and she laughed. "Which would you prefer? A name or a Cinderella-type where you have to hunt for my name for the next few weeks?" she questioned, flirting with the Lockhart with a raised eyebrow. She already had Landon, but she didn't know how long it would last. He was a summer fling in her eyes; she slowly realized that commitment wasn't for her. @lockhart ● sorry for the wait!
