Renfri was at St. Mungos. How she'd gotten there was a blur, but it'd been a week, or so she'd been told the last time she woke. She'd been in a magical induced coma for the first week, for obvious reasons. Fiendfyre. A dangerous, volatile dark art. Fiendfyre consumed everything in it's path. It was one of the most dangerous curses out there because it was near impossible to stop once started. The fact that Renfri and the other curse breaker survived the ordeal was a feat unto itself. But that didn't mean they were fine. Far from it.
That first week Renfri had been in so much pain that the magical coma was necessary just for her own sanity. This morning though the hospital staff had decided the worst of the pain should have passed, and it was now safe to use pain killers and other pain reduction techniques over magical comas.
She's woken up once already, groggy, confused, and oh the pain.... She didn't stay awake long, falling back asleep after a few minutes. The next day, she started to stir once more. Clearer this time. The pain was still an absolute bitch, but at least she didn't feel like she was at death's door. There was also a surprise waiting when she woke up this time.
"Kali..?"
Her voice cracked a little from lack of use and pain, but if Renfri was seeing things right her older sister (half sister technically, but who really cared about technicalities like that?) was at her bedside. It'd been years since she'd seen her older sister in person. But it was hard to forget familiar faces.

I think there's a flaw in my code These voices won't leave me alone Well my heart is gold and my hands are cold Kalique had been working tirelessly in her lab, day-in, and day-out, trying to perfect her new bomb in time for the next attack. Elaine had told her it would be sometime soon, but with that woman, who knew when exactly it was needed. Could be in a few months, could be tomorrow - which was why she made sure that she was continually working and giving the young witch updates. However, during her time at home, she gathered some clothes and such that she had gotten an owl. A very distressing one - Renfri had been hurt and was at St. Mungos. Kalique may be a bitch to some and uncaring to others - but she was extremely protective of her family, especially her younger half-siblings. And Renfri was one of them; they had been close since the young babe was born. Even if their professions had slowly drifted them apart, it didn't help that Kalique had moved to Russia to stay with some cousins for some time, leaving them years in between seeing each other. But it didn't stop her from dropping everything and heading to the hospital. Upon entering, she found herself looking around before asking about her sister. Given the room number and the wing, she made her way there with minutes to spare - one could say she practically ran through the halls. The door opened, and there laid her younger sister, eyes closed, body covered in bandages. There was a doctor there, one who told her what happened - Fiendfyre - and they had put her into a coma to heal. But he was just giving her something to wake the blonde up, just in time to allow Kalique to visit. Kalique sat at her sister's bedside with him gone, the only family member to have appeared thus far. And then, as she bit at her red painted nail, she heard a crack of a voice and an old nickname. She perked up, smiling down at her sister, "Ren...hey..."MADE BY VEL OF GS

Renfri's left side ached and throbbed. Something was wrong. Terribly wrong. While Renfri hadn't expected Fiendfyre wounds not to hurt... there was also a numbness to her left side. How could something hurt and feel numb at the same time?
Where was she? Obviously, a hospital, but Kali was here. Had any of the other siblings visited? She wasn't sure... She couldn't remember. Her last, clear recollection she'd had was at a magical hospital in China. They must have transported her to St. Mungos for Kalique to be here... Or maybe she'd just been unconscious for a while. Renfri tried to smile back at her sister, but she couldn't muster the energy. "How... bad..?" How bad was it? No doubt bad. It was fiendfyre, after all! But... she needed to know. Needed someone to tell her just how bad it really was.

I think there's a flaw in my code These voices won't leave me alone Well my heart is gold and my hands are cold So many questions swirled through her head - was Renfri alright? Were their other siblings contacted? Would they also be showing up? It wasn't that she didn't want to see them, but there was a part of her that didn't. Would they judge her for technically being jobless? Judge her for abandoning them after their parents died? She didn't know, and really, should she care? She didn't dare ask the doctor, not when Renfri was waking up in the moments that she had arrived and questioned what happened. The younger blonde took in her surroundings, clearing, remembering what had happened slowly but surely, taking in everything. And then she mustered up a smile, one that the brunette offered in return. The girl asked how bad it was, her voice struggling to be heard, and the words forced to come out. "Do you want me to lie to you? Or do you want the truth?" she questioned, looking at her sister over. Kalique was usually a blunt person; she would have told someone that they looked horrible the minute they asked. But this was her sister, and even if their relationship had grown apart these past few years, she wanted to know if she should hold her tongue or let it loose. MADE BY VEL OF GS

Renfri's words, of whether to lie or tell the truth, were almost enough. Because it meant that it was bad. If you had to consider sugar coating it. But she didn't want some pretty lie to make her feel better. Because she was in agony. She needed to know why this hurt so much. Needed to understand that this pain had a reason and she wasn't just imagining it. She needed the facts. That was Renfri. She likes facts. Lay it out, say it out it was. Don't hold back your punches.
"Don't lie." She whispered, her gaze intense, though still filled with pain, and fixed on her sister. "How bad..?' She repeated. The longer she lay here, not knowing, the worse it was. Because she was starting to realize that she couldn't feel her left arm. She only noticed it because she was dominantly left handed. Her left leg felt numb, but it wasn't quite as... disjointed as her arm felt.
(Basically her entirely left side is burned. Her left arm took the worst damage though and is totally dead)

I think there's a flaw in my code These voices won't leave me alone Well my heart is gold and my hands are cold Kalique was a blunt person; it was why many thought that she was a cold-hearted bitch. And maybe she was, seeing as she blew people up for the fun of it. She enjoyed seeing people in agony, loved the thrill of watching them struggle to live. Not many made it past the explosion, let alone enough to truly show their agony of lost limbs or struggle to survive. But when it came to her family, perhaps that was the brunette's weakness. Seeing how Renfri struggled, watching the agony that crossed her face, it was like she was younger again. Like she was watching someone she loved die a horrible death, nightmares that had lived inside of her for years after her parent's death. But this was Renfri, the spitfire of a sister that knew how to take the pain. She was someone, though younger than Kalique had always strived to be. At least, until she went dark...letting it consume her. The minute that Renfri stated that she didn't want to be lied to, she nodded her head. "Your entire left side took the blunt force of it all. The doctors said that your arm took the worst of the damage...you may never be able to use it again; it's dead. The doctors are doing their best, but they don't think anything can be done to save your left arm."The words came out like fire, and she watched her sister's expression. She practically signed the woman's death sentence without one arm; how could she do her job? MADE BY VEL OF GS
