When Sofia was younger, she had been told about the trials and tribulations that she would go through as she aged. Her mother, Esther, had never kept one single secret from the young witch, nor her twin when telling them about their vampire-half. Their entire life, they were told to embrace it, to accept who they were and what they had to do to survive. Sofia sometimes remembered when her mother would hold her close, running her fingers through her hair. Sofia had never been one that enjoyed feeding when she was young, even if it was only a small amount of blood to keep her alive.
She could still remember those moments, even as she grew older and older. And eventually, when she was welcomed into Durmstrang, she had to survive her way. She used to get teased for it, not being as pure as the other students. It was a hard life within those walls, but it made her stronger by the time she had appeared in the halls of Hogwarts. She was colder, harder, and more prepared for the abuse that came her way - in the form of proving them wrong. And maybe a little bullying of her own.
But it was during her first year at Hogwarts, that a boy had offered her a date for Valentine's Day. His idea was to up to the astronomy tower and look at the stars. However, hunger had filled her before she could make it to the date, and she had slipped away to the hospital wing to get her fix. It was there that she was found by her date, and his friends, and was laughed at. She grew angry as they did so, eventually leaving and laughing about her. 'Don't listen to them dear, they just don't understand you.' breathed the healer that was tending to her. She shook her head, lips stained red with blood, swallowing the last of it down her throat. "Don't worry...it'll be them who is embarrassed come tomorrow," she breathed out, licking her lips free of blood, before she looked at the woman, "They won't even know what hit them."
