Colton had never intended to sign up for that blishwick blind dating event. He had really just idly filled it out while bored in his office. He had expected a little more action as the MACUSA Auror captain but at the moment the team was just looking for leads or waiting for something to happen. There wasn’t much they could be proactive about. Colton did anything to pass time when bored. So when the paper went missing the next day he wasn’t too worried. Either he forgot he threw it out or the cleaning staff threw it away. What Colton didn’t expect was an owl from the match making service a week later explaining where he was to meet his blind date. Somehow the letter must have gotten sent out with his other paper work. Which was a concern that he must have absent mindedly put it in his outgoing pile. Who ever was in charge of that must have been terribly confused and he was now a little embarrassed if he ever met that staff member.
How he had a blind date that Colton never really intended to have. Sure, it wasn’t all bad and sounded fun but he just never actually planned on signing up. Yet, now if he didn’t show someone would be stood up and disappointed. Colton was raised with more respect than to do that to some poor innocent soul. It might not have been planned but he was sure to show up. Possibly have some fun and whatever happened, happened.
Colton arrived early, after getting ready, to the dance studio as being late was just unacceptable to him. He would have preferred something more up his alley but a swing dancing class could be fun and wasn’t something he was expected to ever do. He couldn’t really imagine the reaction of the person he was supposed to meet to him. He already got a number of odd looks just on how he dressed or spoke from strangers just passing by or talking to him. The reaction of the person who was going to be his date was something he was almost looking forward to, good or bad. He had actually decided to dress in more average attire on this occasion, both to make the dancing easier and not scare away his date. He leaned against the building as he waited unsure of just who to look for but that was the point of a blind date after all.

Shreya wasn't exactly nervous. She'd ensured she looked stunning before she'd left her tiny little apartment. She'd been so busy with her work of late that this dating agency blind date stuff had seemed like a very good way to meet somebody that could possibly be fun to spend time with. She wasn't in any particular hurry to get herself in anything permanent but she had found that she did very much enjoy having company of the romantic type. Her expectations were low, not so much because she didn't trust the dating agency to do their job but far more because she didn't want to be disappointed. Some people would sign up looking for their happily ever after, including kids and whatnot. Shreya was far from desperate for a lifelong commitment and the idea the other person might be pursuing that had her slightly concerned. The letter had specified an address for the blind date, including the activity. Swing dance. She'd looked up a bit of info so she wouldn't show up dressed up in a way that wouldn't match with the activity (any restricting dresses had been tossed instantly) and it had seemed like fun. Active, but very much fun. She straightened out her dress before turning the corner. She wanted to make a good first impression, just to ensure she didn't mess things up long before they started. The first thing that caught her eye was the guy with the cowboy hat leaning against the building. Unlike the other people around he seemed to be waiting for somebody. He was a good looking sort of fellow but he looked a little peculiar with the cowboy hat. She blinked a few times but ended up smiling despite herself. It looked good on him and he clearly didn't care too much if he looked out of place. She could appreciate that a lot. Confidence to be ones self too often lacked in people. She walked up to him and gave him a friendly smile. She resisted the urge to say 'howdy cowboy!' and instead opted for a simple greeting. "Hello." She said with a small wave. "I'm Shreya. Are you here for the Blishwick date?" She asked, half curious and half nervous that she was going to look a fool. She did hope he was her date, as she certainly found him to be rather... interesting. @colton

Colton wondered for a moment while he waited on just who his blind date partner would be. He didn’t know all too many people in Europe just yet so it was sure to be someone he had never met before. He couldn’t imagine how awkward a date with one of his fellow MACUSA Aurors would be. If anything that might have been the one situation he would cause him to call the blind date off. Thankfully that was very unlikely. It didn’t take long til someone was trying to get his attention.
Looking over to the voice saying hello his eyes were met with a woman, obviously younger than him, waving. She offered her name followed by asking if he was here for Blishwick's blind date. That certainly made finding his date a lot easier that he had expected it to be. Moving to stand straight and away from the wall Colton turned toward the woman. “You guessed right Ms.Shreya, I take it that means you’ll be my date for this lovely evening?” Colton said confirming the woman’s idea of who he was. “I’m Colton. It’s a pleasure to meet you. As you may have already guessed Swing dancing isn't something I've got much experience in. So be prepared to laugh at my attempts.” Making a joke while introducing himself, at least as of now it was a joke. Whose to say just how is attempts at swing dancing would end.

Shreya wasn't sure if she expected him to be her date but her smile grew a lot when he confirmed that he was. Today was going to be interesting, if nothing else. She nodded. "Indeed I am." She confirmed after he introduced himself as Colton. She was mesmerised by the fact that his voice ever so perfectly matched his appearance. He sounded fully like a cowboy on top of the hat. She was half surprised his entire outfit didn't scream cowboy, although he perhaps had dressed a little differently than usual. She most certainly had. She couldn't exactly work in an outfit like this every single day. She could perform her job in any job if needed no matter what she wore but it certainly was a lot easier when wearing her work robes. They were designed for the job and she didn't have to worry about any stains or damage to the clothes either, which certainly did help.
She smiled and shrugged slightly. "That makes two of us. I've never done swing dance but it looked fun enough." She said with a glance at him. "So I suppose we'll both have plenty to laugh if we don't manage to keep up perfectly." She said with a playful wink. She didn't want to make a fool of herself but on the other hand it was better to be in the company of somebody with a sense of humour if she had to do so. She glanced at the building, hoping to glimpse a sneak preview of the studio or the teachers or anything. It would be nice to have some sort of notion what they were walking into. "Shall we go in?" She asked him, motioning vaguely towards the door. She wasn't too certain about protocol in situations like this. Would they be called in or were they supposed to go in on their own? She personally would guess they ought go in and receive further instructions there.

“That sure is a relief,” Colton replied with a smile as the woman confirmed she was indeed his date for the evening. “With no idea who I was suppose to be waiting I’d have to resort to just asking anyone who passed by.” There was a pause as Colton laughed for a moment. “I can only imagine how awkward that would have been.” Aside from being younger, Shreya was very pretty in her outfit, he was partly thankful he hadn’t gone with his normal outfit. Part from the activity they had planned and part he wasn’t sure how a new person would react to how he was normally dressed as their date.
Shreya replied that they were in the same boat when it came to swing dancing but it had looked fun. He nodded even if he was more concerned with looking silly than the fun part when he first found out about the activity. She gave a wink after explaining they would both be able to laugh at each other a bit for not being perfect at it. “This is true but I already get the feeling you’ll be far more graceful than I could ever hope to be when it comes to new dance moves.” Colton replied with a few laughs, it may have come out much like a joke would but he was being honest. Running, dodging, dueling, that’s where his graceful went. Dancing, especially a new style of dancing wasn’t it. “Of course, can’t spend the whole evening out here just looking at each other, no matter how enjoyable that might be. At least from my end.” Colton followed her lead and made his way to the dance studio’s door. Holding it open for Shreya.

Shreya fully understood that asking everybody that passed by was not the kind of thing one wanted to do. The idea almost gave her severe anxiety but knowing she didn't actually have to helped a lot to stop the turmoil from actually materialising in her system. She chuckled as she nodded in agreement. "That would have been very unfortunate." She agreed instantly, very happy neither of them would be subjected to such torment. The awkwardness would probably not have done much good for the possible nerves, at least not in her case. She wasn't exactly nervous but if she had to ask every person if they were her date that most certainly would have become a problem. Being able to keep her composure would hopefully help in making a good impression, something that mattered a lot to the young woman. First impressions mattered and she wanted to make sure she at least got that part right. The rest was a matter of seeing how things went.
As he commented that she most likely would be more graceful by his guess she felt a small sense of relief. At least she looked graceful. She had a natural sort of grace and elegance about her, that much was true, but she didn't expect it to come out while learning a new skill, especially not when around people with more experience that would probably make her look like she had never understood the mere concept or grace. Now wasn't the right moment to let those concerns cloud her mind though, as it was time to have fun and see what became of this particular day and afternoon. She couldn't help but smile at his comment though, shaking her head ever so slightly. "Perhaps, but I'm as likely as any beginner to stumble fall over, even if I would manage to do so gracefully." She replied playfully with a little wink. It was best not to get expectations up too high.
Then he commented on how they couldn't exactly wait out the class outside and she nodded in agreement before head through the door he held open for like a total gentleman, not to mention the compliment that certainly had her flattered. She already liked him a lot! "I'm sure we can both enjoy more of each other during the dancing. If nothing else we can enjoy that much." She replied playfully, giving him a quick look up and down. He certainly was attractive and she didn't worry about letting it show that she enjoyed his looks as much as he said he liked hers. She found herself smiling as she stepped in, far more from his simple gesture than the environment as she entered the room. It looked nice and there was plenty of space, even though it still kept the kind of warm and welcoming feel that Shreya associated with dancing. She smiled at her date. "Thank you." She said, referring to his holding the door for her. She shrugged out of her jacket at the point, figuring they'd get warm enough when the actual dancing would begin. She then looked over at Colton with a small smile. "Are you ready? I'm quite looking forward to it." She said, already starting to adjust to the slightly cool atmosphere of the dance school.

Colton nodded as Shreya agreed with him about how awkward just asking anyone who past by about being his blind date would have been. Blishwick probably needed a better system for this. Maybe show up with a rose or something. Something to show you were the person waiting or arriving for the blind date. At least it worked out for them. It was funny to think just how many people were possibly thinking they were stood up and just end up standing next to their blind date. Sad but just a little funny to him.
Shreya explained with a cute wink that she was just as likely to fall over as any other beginner, even if she did it gracefully. “Well ma’am I’ll try and do my best to catch you. No matter how distracting graceful it might appear. That is if I haven't already fallen myself.” He laughed as he offered his attempt to help catch her. He would certainly try if the occasion happened but he did hope for as little falling while dancing as possible.
As Colton opened the door and held it open for Shreya she replied to his comment saying that if anything at least they would at least have each other during their dance. Which wasn’t a bad alternative at all from his stand point if the dancing ending up going badly. Colton didn’t have very high hopes for his own moves but he was willing to give it a solid effort. She thanked him for holding the door. The dance studio was certainly colder than it was outside, something he didn’t mind as with dancing they were probably about to get warmer anyway. She noticed it too he presumed as she took of her jacket. She looked over and asked if he was ready and Colton nodded. “As ready as I’ll ever be.” He replied with a small laugh, “I don’t know where to begin but I suppose that’s what we’re here to learn.”

Colton was a straight up gentleman, that much became more and more obvious as they spent time together. He was making promises to catch her if she fell and she'd be lying if she claimed the prospect of such great manners didn't have her heart fluttering just a little bit. Most people she was around during the day forgot the majority of their manners due to pain or simply lacked them to begin with. Such was the nature of working with people that were far from in the best state of being. While she enjoyed her job as a healer the exhaustion that rude people caused was something she'd never really manage to enjoy. There were the few exceptions, naturally, but the majority of people had short tempers when wounded. Shreya understood, as her own mood suffered when she got hurt. She just wasn't the type to ever take it out on healers. Maybe it was because she knew what it was like to be on the other side, although she'd never done it prior to getting her traineeship either.
Today was clearly going to be good. "Well if we both fall you at least will have little reason to laugh at my falling." She said with a chuckle. If they were both on the floor any joking and teasing would be to the detriment of both of them and therefore certainly in good fun rather than filled with any malicious intent. Or at least it would be very odd if any malice would pop up. "And if either of us gets hurt I'm skilled enough to fix the injuries. I'm presuming none of it will be too complicated. Probably just a sprain, although I imagine it could be broken bones." She just couldn't help herself much as she assessed the injuries she was most familiar with in terms of sports like this. There was always the options of concussions, some bruising or cuts but the dancing lacked the risks of serious trauma that a thing such as ice skating would have. The blades people wore on their feet could pose some very serious threats in reality. Dancing shoes? Much less so. A bad fall was the worst risk and most of that would be minor enough for her not to have any issues in healing it. If she wasn't certain she could at least make sure it would be stable until they could get to St. Mungo's. She clearly thought too much about work. She needed this break, it was more and more obvious every passing minute.
She nodded slightly as she walked up to the dance floor to wait for the instructions of the teacher. It was all pretty basic, starting with the basic steps, which the teacher demonstrated after a quick introduction. Shreya paid good attention, as she found the prospect of dancing to be a fun one. After the teacher finished instructing and opened the floor up for the couples present to try it for themselves, Shreya smiled at Colton. "It looks fun." She said as she offered him her hands so they could get started to try this out. "Have you ever danced before? I gathered you haven't tried swing dancing but have you tried anything else?" She was half tempted to ask if he'd tried line dancing due to the cowboy hat. That and the accent made it seem like it wasn't much of a stretch. Shreya found it rather interesting and it didn't really bother her. He was charming and so far great company. Besides, there was something about the entire cowboy thing that had a very distinct appeal. She certainly wasn't complaining.

Colton laughed as Shreya commented if that had both had fallen. “That’s a good point, if I can’t catch you for whatever reason I’ll do my damndest to fall as well. That is if I haven’t fallen already by then.” Colton replied with a laugh as he could easily imagine himself falling more times than she ever did. He didn’t have high hopes when it came to swing dancing but at least the start of the date seemed to be going well which is really what mattered. Shreya explained that even if they got hurt she would be able to heal it as long as it wasn’t anything too serious. “Well let’s just hope no one gets hurt to begin with. As long as I don’t fall on you or something I can’t imagine it’ll be too serious.” Colton joked while making a mental note to avoid such a thing. “So are you a healer then?”
As the dance instructor began with a few easy steps Colton watched along with some of the other couples as well as Shreya. It wasn’t terribly hard but as they went on it did make him uncertain that he wouldn’t make a fool of himself at some point. As the floor was opened for the couples to finally give swing dancing a shot for themselves Shreya looked toward him with a smile, saying it looked fun. Colton nodded and smiled back as he took her hands. “It does, cant promise what it’ll be like with me as part of the dance.” He replied with a small laugh taking a note on just how soft her hands felt. She asked if he had ever danced before and he just laughed a little. It might have seemed that way from how he didn’t have high hopes for his swing dancing chances. “Oh, plenty of times but like you said. Never swing dancing. There’s line dancing, square dancing, slow and ball room dancing.” Colton listed them off, all of which didn’t exactly prepare him for swing dancing though.

Shreya was enjoying herself a lot. She found herself to be smiling most of the time, even at the idea of falling over and looking like an idiot. He seemed like the kind of guy that wasn't looking for a perfect lady but more somebody to have a good time with. It sounded a lot nicer than having to bother trying to be perfect all the time. Even if she was a bit of a perfectionist and at times a little vain she had her priorities. She didn't care one bit about her looks when people got hurt. Her mind would shoot into work mode in mere seconds and she could be covered in just about anything and not care as long as there were lives to save. Afterwards she'd probably take a far too long shower in thinking she reeked of whatever it was, but that was just after. She chuckled. "Well depending on where your limbs land, you could easily fall on top of me without hurting me. If we're both uninjured I wouldn't even complain." She said with a wink. He was a very attractive individual after all. Ending up in such a position wouldn't be something she'd be opposed to, although intentional in a different setting was probably better than falling into it on the first date. She was more classy than that.
"I'm currently still in training but I will be soon." She replied with a big of a shrug. "I guess I've always considered it my calling, you know? I like helping people and I'm good at it. I never seriously considered another path, except for perhaps a back up plan." She admitted. It had always been healing. She hated nothing more than feeling helpless and the feeling had only been amplified in the divorce between her parents. She'd felt powerless and out of control while it was clear people were hurting. It had made the career choice even more obvious to her and a part of her had been frustrated she couldn't have started sooner. She'd agreed to start the internship literally the day after graduation. She'd been that eager to get started and had already done quite a lot of reading prior to actually starting because she wanted to get ahead of things. It was clearly her passion.
Shreya was quite impressed with how much dancing he'd actually done in the past. All she'd ever done was a little ballet and a few lessons on the side in summer in a style or two. All of that had been several years ago. She was sure it showed on her face that he'd impressed her. She nodded. "I just did ballet when I was little. If we fail at swing dancing we could always try something else though. With all your experience I'm sure you could teach me something." She said with a smile. Even if it was line dancing she was certain they could have a good enough time. She didn't exactly see herself dressed like a cowgirl but she had never really considered the idea either. She had no idea if such a look would suit her. Then again, she couldn't go line dancing in a fancy dress, it just didn't seem appropriate. Perhaps if they were to try in the future, she'd have to go shopping for an outfit first.

Colton laughed as Shreya made light of them possibly falling on each other and getting hurt. Even saying that she wouldn’t even complain about him falling on her as long as no one was hurt. Giving him a little wink as she said it. She sure could be forward which was something he didn’t entirely mind. “Still, complaints or no complaints. I’ll try to keep the falling on you to a minimum. We can save that for another time.” Colton replied with another chuckle for a moment. “That is if I don’t make too much of a darn fool of myself tonight.” Which was also entirely possibly, given he was going to be learning a new style of dancing.
Shreya explained that she wasn’t a healer just yet, she was still training but she was on her way. Saying that it had always been her calling and never wanted to do anything else. “Well that’s great to hear that you get to follow your calling, getting to do what you’ve wanted to do. Not many people get that lucky.” Colton hadn’t been one of those people. Like Shreya he got to follow his calling in life even if it was at the displeasure of his family. “It’s just a relief to know I’ll be in beautiful hands whenever I do end up being sent to St.Mungo.” Colton joked but as an Auror even if he was the chief for MACUSA department he would still see his far share of dangerous missions. He wouldn’t have had it any other way though.
Colton just smiled as they spoke about the dancing he could do, which didn’t include swing dancing. Shreya said he could teach her something if they both failed at swing dancing. “I’d be up for that. It’d be hard to find the right setting for line or square dancing and it would be a lie if I said I didn’t force myself to learn slow dancing.” Colton replied with a smirk, “the things they make you do at boring MACUSA parties and probably the ministry ones too but I’ll find that out eventually.”

Shreya worried a little bit, of course, about things not going well. It wasn't easy to keep worrying when things seemed to be going well and judging by his words, she wasn't the only person worried about looking like a fool. She smiled slightly. "So far, so good, right?" She just responded, figuring that they both had plenty of time in which they could make mistakes that would completely turn the other person of wanting to date them. It seemed unlikely if things kept going the way they did but it was best not to get too enthusiastic ahead of time.
She smiled at his compliment, even if it was brought jokingly. He had to find her at least somewhat visually appealing to say such things, right? "I've been very lucky indeed." She agreed, still smiling. Even with all the pressure and stress that came with the job, she loved every moment of it. The only thing she had previously regretted was not having a lot of time to meet people that were not patients. Dating a patient was just not done. Then again, if they ended up dating she was going to make sure he had the best possible care, even if not provided by her per se. Getting overly emotional wasn't a smart thing when you had to save lives and while Shreya knew she could very easily keep her distance in most cases (thank her misbehaviour at school for that) due to experience she didn't exactly want to become an expert in it. "Let's hope I don't have to see you in St. Mungo's though. While I love my job I prefer not to see familiar faces at work." She said with a smile and a shrug. It was better that way, although she'd rather see him there than dead any day. That always remained a thing. She just didn't know his profession just yet so she didn't know that he actually was more likely to see her in the hospital than most others she knew.
Then he mentioned MACUSA and the ministry and Shreya found herself intrigued. He didn't sound like slow dancing was really his thing but that was all fine by Shreya. It wasn't exactly the most interesting kind of dancing to begin with. Line and square dancing sounded a lot more amusing. She could almost picture herself wearing a cowgirl outfit while attempting to do some line dancing. The mental image was highly amusing to her. "So I guess you're currently working at or for the ministry here?" She inquired curiously. "And if the parties are boring it means you probably have one of the more interesting jobs." She said with a bit of a smirk in response to his. She contemplated for just a moment. "From the top of my head that would most likely be either something in law enforcement or the magical creature sector or the department of mysteries. Considering the MACUSA part and the fact I heard they got some law enforcement from MACUSA to help find the fugitives that would be my first guess, but please do correct me if I'm wrong." She said, although she really hoped she wasn't. There was something very attractive about dangerous jobs and the part where law enforcement made the world safer was just very appealing to her. Maybe it was the part of her that liked danger that was attracted to such things, but she only found things to be getting more interesting the more she got to know him.

Colton smirked for a moment as Shreya comment, so far, so good. It was going well or as well as one could expect. Blind dates could be weird and Colton hadn’t been on all too many of them. “Agreed, though I don’t want to jinx it just yet.” He replied with a small laugh and a nod.
He couldn’t help but laugh but tried to keep it as silent as possible as Shreya explained she hoped to not see him at St.Mungo as she didn’t like seeing familiar faces there. “I would imagine that is one place you don’t want to see someone you know but the chances of me not making an appearance at St.Mungos for one reason or another is very slim. That and I’ve never been that lucky.” Colton explained which when it came down to it he was incredible lucky but even the best luck couldn’t escape everything. His luck was in the fact he hadn’t been hurt worse before in the past. Yet that was just one of the risks that came along with the career he had chosen. "My only luck is that my visits tend to be very short."
While they danced and spoke the conversation turned toward his job as Shreya took his few context clues and attempted to guess what he did for a living. “Wow, am I that obvious?” Colton replied with a small smirk, impressed with how close she was. From the few clues he had given she was able at least the division he was in. Giving herself the added option that he dealt with creatures instead as well. “It’s law enforcement, actually as of this moment I’m the chief Auror for the MACUSA branch here.” Colton was still proud to say that and possibly always would. "It was equal parts promotion and probably them just wanting me out of the home office." Colton joked as he knew only a few back home probably felt that way toward him. “I haven’t been here long so I’m still getting my bearing.”

While Shreya had to admit she had a bit of a weak spot for hero-like personalities the idea of seeing them hurt broke her heart just a little bit. She didn't like seeing certain groups get hurt. Those that did honourable professions for the right reasons were among them. She hated children getting hurt even more and her heart broke every time she came across a young child that needed some very serious first aid. It was unfortunately all too common. She nodded slightly. "You're right though, I wouldn't want to see any familiar faces there. I guess it wouldn't be so bad if I were in a different ward but as a mediwitch I'm not going to be seeing people with minor injuries all that often. The saving people is nice, the fact they need saving less so." It was pretty much why she'd wanted to be a mediwitch, to save people.
Well, she hadn't been that far off! That was actually kind of nice. It made even more sense now that he almost expected to come to the hospital at some point in time. Aurors had very dangerous jobs and being a chief didn't by default make it safer. He didn't seem like the type to get himself out of difficult situations due to his job, he seemed more likely to actually get into them because of his rank. It was just a preliminary idea of course but he seemed like the type to want to protect those that needed it and not one to slack off at work. She was still impressed though. He seemed to have his life sorted out, which was rather nice. It seemed like he wasn't the type to buy into the drama her parents had gone through and that brougth her some hope. She didn't want to end up on her mothers side of such a household. She had yet to forgive her mother, even if she tried hard not let the resentment she did feel get in her way. There was still a way to go, but she hoped she was on the right path so far.
She chuckled slightly, smiling contently as he joked about being that obvious. "I'm supposed to be good at educated guesses. It's part of the job." She said, which was true enough. It was often guesswork in a preliminary diagnosis and the actual tests were based on the guesses. In a high stress situation it was even more important you guessed right, as somebodies life could easily depend on it. A wrong guess could kill somebody so up to some point Shreya liked to keep her wits and mind sharp and perceptive so she wouldn't end up missing any important details. It could save lives if she paid attention.
"Do you like it here so far?" She asked out of genuine interest. She could only imagine how difficult it must be to settle into a new environment, even if it was only temporarily. She herself had no specific plans to move abroad, although she knew her spirit was adventurous enough to try if her life ended up going in that direction. She had never really seen herself as rooting somewhere up to the point she couldn't leave anymore. She was more likely to attach to people than she was to attach to places. Sometimes that made things easier, but it often enough made things more complicated. As the situation would demand it, so it would seem. "I know my perspective of here is most likely biased since I grew up here but I'm curious what you think and if our ideas match." She said with a playful wink. She wouldn't be so easily insulted with any sharp perceptions. It just wasn't really her nature. If you wanted honesty you had to be willing to deal with hearing things you might not enjoy without getting salty about them.

Colton agreed with the sentiment of enjoying your work but not that it was needed in the first place. Much like Shreya enjoyed being a mediwitch but not that people were hurt in the first place. “Sadly there isn’t much that can be done about that. What’s important is that you’re there when needed and you can only hope for a slow day.” Colton explained, it was a sad way to put it but as a healer there wasn’t much of a way to stop an injury from happening. People were typically brought in already hurt in some way. In a way part of his job was to keep people from getting hurt but even he might not arrive til after it’s all happened.
Shreya explained that she was supposed to be good at educated guesses as part of a healer which did make plenty of sense. It would certainly come in handy with figuring out what was wrong with people as well as healing them too. “Okay good, I didn’t need people to know what I do for a living as soon as I walk through the door.” Colton replied with a laugh and a small smirk after he was done as he thought more on it. “Granted if I’m dressed how I normally am they’d probably think I just came out of some no-maj western. Which isn’t entirely a lie.”
There was a another quiet laugh as Shreya asked him how he was England so far. It was all a mix of good and just getting used to the change. “Well as an American, my American pride demands that I say that my home was better.” Colton attempted to sound serious but that quickly failed mid way through. Which he was fine with. As this was a date he didn’t need her to think he was actually that rude. “No, it’s been a right good time. Have to get used to where everything is and where I can go for a good drink but aside from that it’s been an amazing place.” Finally being honest about his experience in England so far. “Work wise is another story. Having a hell of a time trying to learn a lot of different names very fast.”
