A Saturday morning on the quidditch pitch, who could ask for anything more? The smell of the fresh cut grass, the smell of the dew, and the sun just coming out, it was perfect. The cold air was just enough to wake him up, since he'd skipped breakfast and headed straight down here. Parker had wanted to get there nice and early before any quidditch practices. He wasn't planning on staying for too long, he just wanted to get a little bit of his own practicing in before he would be interrupted by team practices. The last thing he wanted was for his skills as a player to start going away since he wasn't practicing every day like he used to.
He supposed the only good thing about this job was that it was an easy walk to a quidditch pitch and all he got to do all day was fly. That was pretty ideal. The downside, having to babysit first years while they attempted to get a broom up to their hand, or having them try to hover just a few seconds and back down. Parker was definitely more of a doer than an explainer, which made it a bit hard for him to tell them what they needed to be doing right. But he had to think of the long run, these kids would hopefully love flying, that or they would be horrified of flying and never want to get on a broom again after his class. Eh, it was a toss up, and this was just a temporary job so hopefully he wouldn't scar too many kids while he was here.
Walking onto the pitch, he could feel the dew spray up on his tennis shoes. Since it was still early he wasn't about to get all dressed up when there were no students around. Instead he was just in his old Falmouth Falcons sweater, dark grey and white with the emblem in the middle, and then just jeans. He wasn't expecting to be running into any students. He carried his black quidditch gloves in one hand, and in the other his broom. He'd been blessed as a quidditch player and had always had one of the top brooms in the quidditch world, and his broom was one of his most prized possessions. Hopefully it would be his ticket back into playing professionally.
