appearance:
Peggy is quite tall and lanky for her age. She’s one of those teenage girls who got a head start in the growth department on her peers. Her parents tell her that she’ll grow into herself eventually, and Peggy believes them.
They also assure her that she will one day grow into her face. With many of her features oversized, including her eyes, mouth and teeth, she has quite a quaint look about her. Her mousey brown long hair is almost always dishevelled, even though she brushes it every morning like she’s supposed to. Freckles are scattered all over her face and body - she’s even been able to draw comparisons to some of her favourite constellations in a few of her freckle clusters.
This paired with the fact that she has a rather -eccentric- sense of style (think clashing prints, and loud colours - often sporting ill fitting clothes), this contributes to her very quirky overall appearance..

overall personality:
Peggy is what a lot of her peers might consider “weird”. She has a particularly peculiar sense of style, often opting for the most colourful combinations and clashing patterns available to her outside of uniform restrictions. She doesn’t seem to do it to make a statement, either. She’s eccentric to an extreme which often results in people not quite understanding her.
She’s one of the clumsiest witches you’ll meet, and she’s still getting used to exercising her magic. She’s the one in potions class exploding her cauldron, or the one slipping over walking through the great hall. There doesn’t seem to be much of a filter in between her brain and her mouth, which is unusual for teenage girls her age, and she often finds herself ‘putting her foot in it’ so to speak. She’s forgetful at times, and incredibly gullible. Peggy will believe literally anything you tell her, no matter how far-fetched.
Despite her flaws, she is as loyal as they come. She is authentic and honest and completely free of judgement of her peers. Peggy is strange but she’s authentic. She’s worth knowing, once you get to know her.

history:
Peggy was never your average kid. Even as a muggle in an all muggle family, she was a bit of a weirdo. But it wasn’t just her who was the outsider. The Duncan’s were an entire family of doomsday preppers and conspiracy theorists. Her father Colin was paranoid about just about anything that happened in the world around them. He couldn’t even watch the evening news without getting into a big muddle. Her mother Donna wasn’t any better - she spent her days collecting coupons for the supermarket to stock up on non perishables for the day that armageddon set upon them. They even had a bomb shelter in their backyard and Donna spent her days while the kids were at school out there making it as comfortable as possible for when the time inevitably came.
The Duncan’s were certainly no normal muggle family. You might even say that in comparison, Peggy and her younger brother were actually quite normal. But even that statement is a far cry from the truth. There’s no denying that even just from looking at them that they are all a little whacky. And that’s before you even strike up conversation!
Peggy had always shown signs of being magically inclined as a child, but nobody would have imagined that she’d have the abilities of a witch. If anything, her tendencies to be able to do strange things like start small fires or move tiny objects only made her parents more sure of the government being able to control their minds via satellite! It wasn’t until she received her enrollment letter from Hogwarts when a representative from the school visited them that all was explained. And boy, did it take explaining!
Eventually, her family came to terms with the fact and they became less wary. Well, at least about Peggy, despite the fact that she had never been quite as obsessive as them about government plots to destroy the world as they knew it. She was unique in that way, and in the way that she possessed magical abilities! As far as the conspiracy theories go; well her parents, they are very much still in full swing back at home in Liverpool!
site events reaction:
Peggy has a tendency to exaggerate things and blow things out of proportion, not that recent events are anything to take lightly. However it has made her a little more paranoid than necessary… She isn’t very knowledgeable about politics in the magical world, but after the Dragon attacks, some Slytherin kid told her that “they” were coming for Muggleborns next. Peggy has been a little on edge since then, especially when disasters of any degree hit the news.
