Ever since the accident Heleen had been confused. She'd been having what she thought were hallucinations at first. Over time it slowly became more obvious that it wasn't due to anything the staff had given her and she'd kept it quiet. Where she worked wasn't the type of place people were into sharing of any kind. Not to mention it had been a work related accident that had ended her up in the hospital and without her saying she was saying seeing things nobody saw she'd been allowed to go home. That had not been allowed if she'd been honest, she was certain that would not have happened.
Now she she had been at home for a good two days and she'd started to notice a pattern to her hallucinations. Every single time she'd use magic on an object, her hallucinations started. It took her a bit longer than it ordinarily might have considering her state but eventually she figured out why. She could, in some shape or form, see magic since the accident. Naturally that had triggered her curiosity and she'd been identifying the magic she'd done on object, which was very easy considering she knew exactly what she'd cast. Today she'd gone out for the first time in over a week to see if it worked on more than just her own magic, although she suspected it would. Her trip started in the Leaky Cauldron, where she managed to identify simple charms placed to make spoon stir in drinks and the simple magic. She figured she'd go into diagon alley next, stopping by a few of the shops to try more objects.
She was currently staring at a particularly fascinating web of magic that she was attempting to unravel. Whatever magic this was, it wasn't simple and she felt herself getting tired as she mentally started tugging on the strings. She wasn't about to give up too easily though and she kept pushing until she felt a slight trickle as if she had a bad cold. Pulling herself out to the web she wiped at her nose, noticing it wasn't a cold but blood that was escaping. Realising what had caused it she shot one last regretful look at the object and moved forward. It was clear that even when intertwined with magic, it wouldn't give the secrets away easily. She'd have to learn to find balance in this new ability she'd found herself with and fast if she had any intentions of using it. Knowing her own curiosity, she most certainly would be.
