ALOHOMORA SIXTH BIRTHDAY EVENT

First off, the staff apologizes for the lateness of this! With world events, it hasn't been an easy year for anyone. We were going to do a lower key birthday event then previous years, but TJ just had such a great idea that we couldn't let it pass up! SO! Everyone thank TJ for this awesome idea! Here's the rundown of the whole event, in TJ's words:

“Hogsmeade is pleased to welcome back the lively faces of students back to the nearby Hogwarts. In celebration of the school year starting, a new Minister of Magic, Viktor Krum, and hopefully a brighter future ahead. The Hogsmeade community counsel with the aide of some rather friendly Leprechaun have come up with an event for everyone to enjoy. All throughout Hogsmeade, from the streets to inside the stores. Even near the Shrieking Shack and near by grassy fields. small to medium sized pots of leprechauns gold might be hidden. This gold obviously disappears but there is one magical pot filled with actual Gallons. Will you and your friends be able to find it? You’ll only know hours later when the leprechaun gold disappears and real gold remains.”

THis event takes place during the first Hogsmeade visit of the year, September 20, 2025. Everyone and anyone is invited to participate! There's a board for the event.  This board will basically just be all of Hogsmeade during the first visit, and where your characters can have fun finding leprechaun gold!

So how will this work exactly?

Well, this is a posting war! For the WHOLE month of July (including everything already posted before this announcement) we will be competing over how many posts we make! Like the previous posting war, this will be by character. At the end of the month the top 10 characters will be thrown into a raffle for 3 grand prizes! To make it easy, I'll undergo the task of counting posts (be kind to me....) throughout the month so you guys don't have to worry about reporting your posts.

Also, as an extra incentive! This month ALL IC posts will earn 4 galleons (double the usual!) and creating a thread in the current season (so not the past boards) will earn you 5 galleons! So the more you post this month, the more galleons you earn AND you will also be in the running for the raffle!

As an extra EXTRA incentive, I'm going to be working on some crazy new galleon shop items to roll out at the end of the month! Gotta give you guys new toys to spend all this cash on, right?! 

IF, as a site, we get 500 posts in the month, the staff will cook up something crazy spectacular as a reward for the whole site! This would be a serious group effort. To do this every member would need to make a little less than 20 posts during the month!

Again, we're sorry this isn't as elaborate as past years. Life has been rough for everyone. But lets have an awesome birthday month!
