It was easy to be around him. Deva wasn't quite sure why and despite not getting a straight answer out of him (by default or just so far?) she found him to be good company. He intrigued her and not in a bad way. He made her curious about him and she wanted to spend more time with him for more reasons than just the ship they were currently on. It was a perfect excuse of course but it wasn't the only reason. Something about him just drew her in and it seemed she couldn't possibly resist. Not that she was all that keen on trying to begin with.
His words were sweet as sugar and like music to her ears. The idea that he suggested saying it in such a way didn't sound realistic but flattering nonetheless. It seemed he was rather good at flattery and she was not complaining. She chuckled slightly though. "He'll probably think you're just trying to prank him if you tell him that. Or that you drank too much and ended up talking to the figurehead as if it was real." She teased him easily. It was very nice of him to say, but if he truly wanted to have an easy time he ought not to go around spreading tales of her beauty, she figured. Besides, it all seemed a little bit over the top to her. She wasn't that pretty. Clearly the ship would win a competition considering how special and rare it was.
He brought up a fair point that she couldn't know if she had time if she didn't know when it'd sail. She nodded slightly as she considered that. "Fine, it's highly unlikely I'd be able to come watch. Work nearly always has me busy and I can't really take any days off on a short notice so unless it magically happens to set sail on a day I'm off work I'm pretty sure I'll be missing out." She looked at him, biting her lip slightly as if she was almost afraid to ask. "When does she leave?" It was odd, as she found a note implicit in the tone of her voice she hadn't expected. She wanted to get to know this sailor more and that meant she wanted to know when he'd leave with the ship. When the ship would leave, so would he. Perhaps it was possible to keep in touch? Writing letters would be a very interesting way to get to know one another, that much was certain.
Well, he only made her heart flutter more when he kissed her hand rather than simply shake it. She was a little flustered by it, almost to the point that she failed to realise he hadn't given his own name in return. Almosst. She blinked a few times and then smiled slightly. Well it seemed he liked playing games, she didn't mind. She wasn't too difficult to amuse. "Thank you." She said calmly, accepting the compliment. If he was going to keep information from her then she wouldn't pry just yet. She'd just get him back later. If he wanted to keep in touch it'd be the perfect moment to throw that back in his face. She could always call him Hans or something. Hans Gretleson? Since he kept her walking that breadkrum trail?
When he asked if they should continue the tour she smiled, quite excited already to see more. "Yes please!" She said happily. "Which part is next?" She asked, figuring she'd led him take the lead to show her the next space on the tour. Besides, she wouldn't mind sneaking a good look at his physique. It was plenty of appealing from what she could tell.

Bjorn grinned as she spoke, telling him that the captain would think he was pranking him or drunk. If only she knew. But he wasn't ready to give up that piece of information quite yet. It was rather fun just being a "simple" sailor right now. No title to make her nervous. This entire encounter would have been much different if she'd known he was in fact the captain. Perhaps she wouldn't have been willing to ask him for a tour, too afraid of what he might say. No, being a simple sailor made him more... welcoming to her. Because she could say what was on her mind. "Perhaps. I'll just have to keep sharing tales of your beauty until they see for themselves." His comment almost hinted at wanting to see her again, though not quite so boldly yet.
"I'm hurt, are you really that against seeing me again?" Oh, he was teasing her now, a wicked smirk hidden behind his beard. "Though, perhaps I get my hopes up. A refined lady like you wouldn't be interested in a rough sailor such as myself. It would warm my cold heart to know someone so beautiful was there to see me off." Okay, he was laying it on a little thick, but she was the one that had presented him with the opportunity. He was an opportunist by nature. "She's in port at least a week, perhaps longer. Depending on the repairs. A ship such as this takes care to repair." There weren't many that could repair and restore ships of this age, after all. The work was tedious and expensive.
She accepted his offer to continue the tour readily, and he smirk softened to a smile. "Perhaps below deck?" He lead the way this time.
The tour was.. nice. Showing the woman anything that wouldn't be to compromising. Of course, they'd passed the first mate's cabin and he'd just pointed, saying "Captain's sister. She might kill me if I let you in.". Of course, Lotten wasn't in, but if she found out... Well, you didn't mess with a Krok woman. Even Bjorn knew not to push Lotten too much. Because she was probably the only one on the ship not above attacking him. But, he made up for it by letting her explore every other room below deck (except for a portion of the cargo that was hidden, but she didn't even know it was there). They'd eventually reached the Captain's cabin. His own. Letting her explore too much definitely would rouse suspicion. But, he had a plan.
Bjorn opened the door, pushing it open so she could look inside. He leaned against the wall by the door, not entering himself. "He won't mind a quick glance," he said. The cabin itself wasn't extravagant, but it was comfortable and well kept. While there was a large four poster bed near the rear of the room, the majority of the cabin was filled with knick knacks, trinkets, antiques, and relics of all kinds. One wall was just a huge bookshelf and filled to the absolute brim with hundreds of text of varying ages. The cabin itself spoke volumes of what type of person Bjorn was. A collector. But not of junk. Everything in the cabin had worth. The books were all historical and important text, not mindless fiction. He was someone that understood and appreciated the value of history. The items of the room also revealed him to be an educated man of the world, as the artifacts and books on the bookshelves belong to many different cultures and eras.
(just gunna skim most the tour )

Deva smiled slightly at his comment. He really was quite the charming flirt, wasn't he? It was difficult not to smile or wish to show that his interest in her was reciprocated. He was interesting, had an air of mystery and the fact he knew about sailing and enjoyed it enough to do it as a job also spoke volumes to her. Apart from that she barely knew him, although there was plenty of time to get to know him. Or maybe not plenty, but at least enough time to try and see if she could worm out some form of contact agreement. Maybe if she could owl him they could see where this went even after his captain had called him back to sea. It sounded as if he and the captain had a friendship, and a pretty good one at that. It made her curious about the captain, although not quite as curious as she was about him.
She couldn't help but let out a good natured laugh as he suggested she was trying to avoid seeing him again. She smiled coyly as she raised a single eyebrow. "Well, well...." She muttered softly, half to him and half to herself. "Seems a little early for such a rough sailor as you yourself appear as, to be smitten this much by a random stranger. Is your cold heart already on fire....," she paused briefly as she playfully ran her eyes across his body, resting them slightly longer on a very specific area before trailing them back up again, "...or is another part of you warming up to the idea of my company?" She teased him playfully. No matter how charming he was, for as far as she knew he was a sailor and most of those that she'd met so far had primary intentions that her father didn't approve of. It wasn't illegal of course so he couldn't have done much to stop it but Deva knew that many of them weren't exactly up for long commitments due to the time they spent away from home. To her that sounded like both a blessing and a curse. She knew what it was like to be strung along by experience, and loads of it. She wouldn't object to a relationship that was less complicated with the same advantages, even if her heart longed for commitment. She just wasn't foolish enough to expect to find it in a random sailor, no matter how attractive he was.
She nodded as he mentioned the ship would take at least a week to depart. "Well I suppose I could see about coming to see you off when you leave, although I'll need a notice at the very least a week in advance, although two would be better." She said, practical as ever. Still, it was something she knew she wanted, all things considered. It made sense it wouldn't be a quick fix. No doubt the owner would consider it an insult to his property to have any quick fixes done rather than proper repairs.
The tour was nice. It was mostly brief looks into life on deck of a ship that she presumed to be used primarily for trade. It didn't look highly luxurious or the type to expect high maintenance guests. Down to earth. She did notice that he didn't point out his personal space, which was a bit of a disappointment. She would have loved to sneak a peek at his belongings since what he chose to bring would have told her a lot about him as a person. That little glance would have been wonderful but was unfortunately denied to her. The part of the first mate caught her attention. She gave him a slightly suspicious look. "You're more afraid of the captains sister than the captain himself?" She noted with an air of curiosity. It was very interesting indeed. She then nudged him playfully. "Ever had a crush on her?" Naturally she had no way to know that it was actually his sister and that such a suggestion was highly inappropriate if she'd been aware of the relationship. Since she wasn't it was nothing but some playful banter to her. If he wanted sugar on the side she knew how to manage her expectations better but to get involved with a guy that was in love with another woman just seemed like a certain way to pain. She wanted to try and avoid that at least.
At least the captains quarters came by. If her friendly stranger hadn't charmed her so convincingly prior to showing this place, she almost could have forgotten him. The cabin showed a very interesting person and Deva was instantly curious about the captain that was friends with this attractive sailor. Did they share common interests? If the collection of the captain overlapped the interest of the sailor that gave her the tour she certainly would almost feel obligated to get to know him better. She made sure not to enter the space but the glance was like magic. Clearly the captain was a man of the world, down to earth but fond of the good things in life. Perhaps she'd guessed wrong and he would at least entertain the idea that her guide was telling the truth. Her fingers and toes were almost itching to walk in and look around, but she knew that she couldn't. Such a shame really. She glanced over at her stranger. "This is incredible." She said, just a little stunned." She blinked a few times. She then giggled for a moment before shaking her head. "You're lucky you encountered me before he did. If he's half as charming and good looking as you are he'd have had me distracted beyond reason after showing me such a wealth of knowledge and culture. Combine that with the sailing and I'd have been far too distracted to notice anything else in the world." She sighed a little. Still, she hadn't met the captain and talking to her stranger was as easy as breathing. No matter how attractive the captain might have been, by now Deva had far more interest in the friendly sailor that had stolen her time. Her jolly sailor bold, in a way. Not that she'd give herself away all that easily.
"How did you meet the captain? Or alternatively, end up on the ship? I'm kind of expecting some form of impressive story." She said playfully. At least he could dress it up nicely, even if the story itself was incredibly boring. "If it's a long story we could always go to a local pub for some food and a drink over which to share the wild tales?" She said with a smile. She wasn't quite asking him out on a date, so to speak. She was just letting him know she had no specific plans for in the evening. She'd considered stopping by Rhys after her stop at the harbour but she wasn't that keen on seeing him. It had been a fight (as usual) last time she'd left and a part of her was still grumpy about that. She would rather spend time with her stranger in an atmosphere where she felt at ease than with Rhys, wondering every moment when the next fight would start. At least this stranger seemed like he'd be the type to be more keen on making her laugh than scream or cry. And well, if anything more were to happen she certainly wouldn't complain.

Well well... This woman was surprising. Bjorn wasn't taken back often, but he hadn't expected her to say something so forward. His eyebrows raised, the only sign of his surprise. After a moment he couldn't help but smirk. He wouldn't deny that he'd slept with a few women while in port. There wasn't much time for that sort of fun when he was on the job, and being captain often meant he had less time then the crew. He wasn't above the senseless, feelingless sex that sailors were notorious for. But in this instance? Well, she didn't look like the type of girl you just bedded and ran. No, Bjorn was far too interested. Obviously she was a beautiful woman. But she had a sharp mind. There was an intoxicating air about the way she spoke, and the way her eyes had lit up.... "I've traveled the world a number of times and never met a woman as beautiful or charming as you. Stranger or not." He paused momentarily, taking a slow step closer. "Who says only one part of me is "Warming up" to the idea of your company?" He wasn't denying her tease, in fact quite the opposite.
Her response of trying to see him off was reassuring. Still a hint of hesitation, but it wasn't a no. "I'll let you know the moment a departure date is set."
During the tour she had some questions, though the ones of his sister were the most interesting. "Have you ever met a woman on a ship? They're tough as nails and will flay you alive if you get on their wrong side." He had no doubt Lotten would maim anyone that crossed her, including Bjorn. "Me? A crush on her? I prefer not to mix business and pleasure." Of course, she was also his sister. But Lotten wasn't the only woman on the crew. The rule still stood. He didn't sleep with any of the women on his ship. It was just unnecessary drama. He didn't want to invite that sort of trouble. He'd seen his crew try to date, and the headache it'd caused when the couple was fighting. The ship was large, but not large enough for that sort of drama.
Though, her best reaction was when she saw his own cabin. She didn't enter, just gazed longingly from the doorway. Oh, she was definitely mesmerized. It almost made him want to tell her right then that he was the captain, so that she might enter and take in the cabin. To see her explore and take everything in. But that would have to wait. He was enjoying her not knowing who he was. "I don't know, you might be swept off your feet if you ever meet him," he teased. "Call me jealous, but perhaps I'll have to ensure you never meet him."
After a few more moments, he reached around her, pulling the door close, and holding out his arm for her to take. That had been the last stop on the tour. "I have many impressive stories, but would you believe them?" His mind was already turning, trying to come up with a good cover story of how he "met" himself. "Please, you deserve far nicer then a pub. Allow me the honor of taking you out properly." She might have been casually "asking him out", but he was very clearly asking her. "I promise, I'll be a gentleman."

He was smooth without a doubt. The only problem in that and their current dynamic was that... well... she really wished she could just kiss him right there and then as he suggested more than one part of him was warming up to her company. For some reason the fact he could take her teasing and playful taunting and turn it around on her in a way that almost sounded romantic was just a very alluring skill. She wanted him and it was a dangerous thing. He was a temptation but she didn't exactly need that in her life. While everything was messy and chaotic it was nice to encounter something that seemed so simple. It rarely was though. She contained herself, but couldn't hold back the small laugh that escaped her lips. "Maybe one day you can show me exactly which parts I failed to notice warming up." She teased playfully. Oh dear she wanted him.
She nodded at his promise to let her know when they'd set sail. "I'll try my best to be there then. Maybe I can convince somebody to cover my shift for a while so I can come see you off and then take part of their work load. With a bit of luck I'll be there for the grand departure." She at the very least hoped she'd be able. After seeing the ship on the inside she was even more curious to see it sail. Maybe if she was lucky and the ship would do a small round for the public she'd be able to get on. It wasn't very likely though. Still, a girl could dream.
She could see how woman on ships had to be somewhat tough in order to fit into a mostly male culture. She herself sailed mostly for fun but definitively didn't fit his description of woman on ships. She shrugged slightly but was smiling either way. "I've been on ships, although not for work. I'd hardly describe myself as tough as nails and I'd definitively never flay anybody, alive or otherwise." His answer on the crush wasn't very straightforward though, even if it suggested no romantic interest in her. It sounded more like he wanted to keep his work and romances separated and that was the reason he'd never chosen to pursue her. Well, that was fine as long as she didn't quit her job to see if he was worth chasing. It seemed unlikely though, considering her brother was the captain.
She almost rudely burst out laughing as he suggested she might be swept of her feet if she ever met him. "I think it's too late for that now." She said, holding back some more laughter. "I think I've already been swept off my feet enough for quite some time and I have a policy to only be swept off them by one man at a time so you have little to worry about." She said with a playful wink. She definitively didn't need some guy drama in her life. Rhys brought her plenty of that without added help of having interest in two guys at the same time. On that point she really didn't worry about Rhys at all. It wasn't like he was ever planning to commit to her either way and she was getting tired of pretending he might some day change his mind. Clearly not. Her stranger already seemed to commit to her more than Rhys did and they had known each other for less than a day. It was kind of refreshing.
She almost was sad when he closed the door, although his proximity wasn't something she was planing on complaining about. She almost shivered at how intensely she experienced it, which made no sense at all. She took his arm, feeling shivers of delight crawling down her body. This was oddly intense and all of it in a good way. She could definitively get used to this. He promised he had many impressive stories but wasn't sure she'd believe them. She shrugged. "Only one way to find out, and even a story I don't believe can be worth telling." She noted. She didn't know if he had any interests but she loved a good story, even if it wasn't true. There were more important things than truth when it came to a good story. Sometimes the truth just made a story less interesting rather than more so. She was a little surprised when he suggested taking her out properly. She wasn't sure what exactly he meant by that but figured it wasn't all that bad to see what he meant. She smiled slightly, a little shy for the first time since they'd met. "I mean, I'd like that." She replied in earnest. "But I'd be just fine with a pub as well. I suspect the company will keep me from noticing the environment for most of the time either way. Seems a waste to spend a lot of money on details if they aren't likely to be noticed to begin with." It was odd to put it out there and it made her feel very vulnerable all of a sudden. A fancy dinner rather than a pub suggested a form of commitment and she was terrified she was misunderstanding it. How often had she gotten her heart broken by men unwilling to commit while they claimed they were? It wasn't just Rhys, it was the others as well. One of them had all but disappeared without much of an explanation. While she didn't expect him to hit it and run (and even if he did she wouldn't even complain) but the idea he was seeking a commitment was new and a little overwhelming. She just didn't really dare hope that he wanted that.

This woman, Deva, was very forward. More forward then he'd initially though. Not that that was a bad thing. In fact, he liked it. He wasn't a fan of those shy, giggling types. The ones that made you chase them then acted coy the moment they got caught. He also loved her laugh, something he noticed the moment the sound left her lips. God, this woman would test his patience, wouldn't she? Bjorn was someone used to getting what he wanted, when he wanted it. But this woman was too smart, too bright for that sort of fun. A single passionate night. No. There was a different pull here. And for once, he was happily patient. Because he had a nagging feeling that she was worth far more then a single night. "Sweet Deva. You're quite forward. You'd make even a grizzled sailor blush." Though.. It wasn't a refusal of her suggestion...
It was nice to know that she was smitten with him, and not just the ship. Or the captain's title. Though, obviously, she'd taken great interest in the cabin. She had yet to know his actual identity. Despite that, she was adamant that the "captain" would be too late, and that she was already swept off her feet by another. "Keep speaking like that and I might start to think you've taken with me. Or am I too bold to think such a beautiful woman would find such interest in a poor soul, such as I?" Though, both their intentions were quite apparent, it was nice to tease her just a little more. "If it's not to bold, however. Then you should know I find you quite fascinating. In many ways." He'd been trying to be on his best behavior up until now, but he couldn't stop himself just the slightest glance up and down her body...
He'd had to lean in quite close to close the door. Closer then they'd been before now. She smelled like the ocean after a storm. Though, the moment didn't last long, but at least he had the weight of her arm on his own as he lead her back towards the top deck. "Then I have a great many stories I could share, if you're willing to listen." Some his own, some his fathers and grandfathers. Bjorn knew a great number of epic tales he could enthrall her with.
Bjorn slowed his steps and looked down at her, mild surprise written over his face as she explained why the place didn't matter to her. That was most unusual. He hadn't expected a women to.... not decline a fancy dinner, but be so willing for something less just for his company. It was those words that truly solidified in his mind that this was a woman he had to get to know. "Perhaps somewhere in the middle then. Someplace quant and quiet, where we can talk as long as we want." Pubs were notorious for being loud and rowdy. Something that, most the time, Bjorn enjoyed. But he wasn't too keen on the distraction right now.

It was interesting how he could say both yes and no in a single breath. He suggested he wanted her but also showed absolutely not intentions of claiming what she was offering him. It was intoxicating but drove her absolutely mad. She admittedly was not used to such extensive games but found herself enjoying them immensely. He was teasing her and testing her, in a way. Or that was what it felt like and she welcomed the challenge. It was a game of push and pull rather than desperately attempting to keep a ship afloat that was desperately trying to sink. This seemed more like a battle of soaring into the sky or staying afloat on the waves. Both were perfect options but the game to see which was it was going to be made it all the more entertaining to see where they'd end up.
She laughed as he mentioned making a sailor blush. "Unlikely. I've met your kind before and you're very difficult to make blush. I spent most of my summers in the harbour, although on far more modest and modern ships than the one you're sailing on." She said good naturely, once again complimenting the ship. It was simply breath taking after all. She could stare at it for days and not risk getting bored a single moment.
The compliments and shameless flirting and showing interest in her definitively had her hooked. She smiled and found herself happy with the direction this day was taking. "Oh it's not too bold by far. You're still well within the charming region." She reassured him playfully. "One might sooner suggest you could be bolder if you had any plans or ideas to get me stunned into silence." She definitively intended to make that sound like a playful little challenge and invitation for him to up his game and teasy and flirt and play with her a little bit more.
She nodded as he said he had many stories if she were willing to listen. "I'm quite eager to hear them actually. If nothing else then I can claim for academic purposes. If they are indeed as wild as you suggest it would pose a fun little puzzle to see if I can tell truth from embellishments." Most good stories came with many of those embellishments after all. She knew that, even if she was more likely to read accurate works than purely fictional recountings of historical events. That shifted if the story was clearly not inteded to be built on truth, as the reimagination of a story based on truth was entertaining if one kept the true story in mind.
His suggestion to take a middle ground was rather perfect. Nothing too fancy but with a clear goal in mind nonetheless. Getting to know each other a little bit. She smiled brightly and nodded. "That sounds rather perfect." She said, wondering if he already had a place in mind. She wasn't sure if he was familiar with the area here or just the seaport itself. Sailors didn't regularly take a lot of their limited time for the express purpose of exploration. "Did you have a specific place in mind? I know a few smaller and not very fancy restaurants we could go but I'm also curious if you have any recommendations." She said, very curious which one would have his preference. Did he want control over the situation in order to impress her or was he ready to risk eating something he was far less keen on for her company? Both were very good options to her and she didn't care much, except that it showed part of his personality and his intentions towards her. On that point she felt he was hard to figure out. Was he trying to say he wanted to know her more than one night or was he not all that interested after all but didn't want to hurt her feelings? She hoped the first option, of course, but maybe this would give a hint as to what was true...

Really, the more she spoke, the more he wanted to listen. To learn about her. Who was this woman? Though he was one for earthly pleasures, he felt like that would never be enough for him with her. No, he wanted to know her, in ways that no one else ever would. What scared him though, was how fast these thoughts had formed. Was it because he'd never taken the time to really get to know a woman? Or was he just simply being a romantic? Or perhaps... Perhaps there was something there, something that had woken in him when he met her. "I can assure you. You may know 'my kind', but you've never met someone like me." His voice was thick in that moment, as if promising to show her just what sort of man he was, given the time. He could be charming, yes. But underneath it all was a selfish man, who had found something he wanted.
Bjorn knew he was still playing it pretty safe. In fear that he might scare her off if he came on too strong. Most women thought Bjorn could be... intense. Something he would admit to. You didn't make it in his line of work without being a bit intense. You certainly didn't make it as captain. Though, he was fighting to keep that intensity in check right now. To be respectable and good. Because like hell he was going to let her run off. His worries seemed to be unnecessary, however, as she told him that he could be bolder. One of the many chains that had been holding him back came undone. Bjorn pulled her closer as they walked. "Oh I have many plans," he said slowly, a mischievous smirk on his lips. "But a lady such as yourself deserves at least a little respectability. Before I grow too bold and decide to have my way with you." That... and he didn't want to exhaust himself of her in just a single night. No, he planned on savoring her presence as long as possible. Why rush when he still had so much time?
He laughed as she mentioned trying to figuring out what part of the stories was truth verses embellishment. "Perhaps we can make a game of it then. I can spin quite the tale, given the chance. But will you be clever enough to catch the falsehoods?" He did enjoy a good puzzle. He might be a physical person, by appearance, but he was also quite knowledgeable and academic himself. He had an insatiable curiosity for the unknown. It was partly why he enjoyed his line of work so much, and why this woman was so fascinating...
Bjorn didn't actually know the area past the harbour that well. He knew a few spots. Mostly pubs. Though he'd already ruled them out as possible dinner choices. She mentioned knowing a few spots herself that would suit their needs, but something sounded far more appealing. "What do you say we just walk until we find someplace neither of know." Where neither would be recognized. "I'm in no rush, unless you have other plans tonight?" He hoped not. While he might be holding himself back from... other activities with her, he wanted her company as long as he could have it.

It was amusing how keen he was to emphasize that he wasn't like most sailors that she'd met when he'd long since proven that. Her countless invitations probably would have been accepted long before reaching this count and not playfully accepted and bounced back without acting on them. It was both intoxicating and highly frustrating as it almost made her wonder what she was doing wrong in her attempts to seduce him. Yet it seemed to be working, just not quite in the way that she intended. He was clearly interested, he was showing her that he was interested and yet he was taking the difficult route. He was planning on taking her out on a proper date rather than find their way to the nearest pub followed by any room decent enough to share a night together. Yet it was the catch in his voice that proved it more than anything. There was an urge in there to prove it, which meant this was supposed to span more than just one night of free for all kind of fun. She smiled cheekily at his respons. "I can see that." She said simply to let him know she'd noticed it long before he'd felt the urge to utter the words.
His words on the many plans he supposedly had sent a shiver up her spine. He made her feel impatient and eager to explore exactly how well he could make his actions match those very promising words. He was building himself a reputation in her head to live up to so he had better be good at the games that he planned to play if he was that keen to convince her that his plans required such an elaborate foreplay. His smirk made her want to kiss him again, damned be the social customs and rules. They were never supposed to count in love either way. She was enjoying this little game of his far too much though. "I suppose I'll see how good you are at resisting temptation then....." She mused, almost as if to herself. "I'm curious about your plans and the way you speak makes me very keen to explore the skill set you're hinting at." She said in a seductive little voice. Oh yes, she was definitively planning on testing his endurance if he kept on seducing her like that. Two could play that game.
The other game of tales that were laced with embellishment and little lies was far more fun in nature than seductive, although she very much enjoyed the idea. She smiled and nodded enthusiastically, as it appealed to her a lot. "Just don't judge me too much if I get it wrong. It tends to take time to figure out what is more likely based on what tales a person normally spins and I haven't heard any of your stories yet." She said. She didn't want to be set up to fail for his amusement, although she wouldn't mind getting it wrong if it remained in good nature and was handled sportsmanlike. Otherwise it'd just feel like bullying, although he didn't seem like the kind of guy that would get a rise out of that.
His suggestion seemed like the best of both worlds and she nodded with a smile. "It'll probably take a while. I've been coming to this area for years so I know most places." She warned him. Still, she liked the idea of exploring a little. If nothing else the walk would help build up their appetites a little and provide a small distraction while they spoke. Not to mention that she wasn't really in a rush to eat dinner as that could mean the end of the night. She wanted to go to bed very late tonight so that she could be certain to have spent as much time as humanly possible in his company before the day would end. "I have no other plans." She said, although that was mostly because of him. She'd had some ideas of plans but nothing that she'd agreed on with other people. Nothing she wasn't willing to toss aside for more time with him. She feared there would not be enough time no matter where they ate. Might as well make the most of what little time they did have.

Bjorn was a man of his word. When he promised to do something, or set his mind to it, it happened. Regardless of what got in his way. it was what made him so sucessful in his... career. The crew knew that once Bjorn had a plan, it happened. Because even if it didn't work exactly the way he'd initial wanted, he had contingencies upon contingencies. He had multiple back up plans already built into the plan to ensure it's success, no matter what route it took. There was a reason he was captain. But in this situation it was different. He wasn't promising riches and adventure. At least... not the type of adventure he usually promised. No, these promises were to a woman. "Typically, I have very little patience or desire to resist temptation. But sometimes...." He glanced at her, as if to soak her in once more. "Sometimes I find myself undeniably patient, because I find something worth the wait." Not to mention it was a bit fun seeing how frustrated she was that he was partially rejecting her. He wasn't telling her no. He was telling her "not now".
He chuckled as she begged him not to judge her. "I promise, I'll go easy on you. At first." While they'd been talking about tales of adventure there was a heavy innuendo in his voice that couldn't be denied.
The prospect of it taking a while to find a restaurant neither of them knew didn't scare him. In fact, it was almost perfect. Because the longer it took, the longer they could talk. The longer he could have her attention. "Then you'll just have to keep me company until we find someplace."
And it did take a while. Though the conversation was good. Nothing serious, or too deep. A lot of shameless flirting and innuendos. Eventually though, after an hour of almost aimless wandering, both too engrossed in their conversation, they found a place unfamiliar to them both. A small, but from the outside, nice place. Bjorn immediately opened the door, and held it open for her. "Ladies first."
(Gunna glance over most their walk. You can decide waht type of food it is.)

How on earth was it possible that his resisting her advances actually made him more attractive to her? It should be illegal. It was rather silly and low and behold, she was falling for his games hook, line and sinker. She smiled, unsure what else to say to those words. She would of course keep taunting and teasing him but it seemed that his resolve was very strong once he had set his mind to something. It seemed he'd set his mind to her, which was incredible. He was that guy, but she just wasn't that girl. Or at least she hadn't been before. To him it seemed she was worth the wait. It seemed as if he wanted more than just a short term commitment or at the very least he seemed to try to be stretching it out to span more than just a day. It wasn't quite a long term thing but something inside her told her that he wouldn't get scared and leave her with a broken heart. "In that case I hope it doesn't turn out disappointing after waiting." She said calmly, a slight smile on her face. She could accept he had plans of his own that he'd adhere to. Pushing had no use in this moment, although she'd try if given a proper opportunity again.
The suggestions and innuendo he was throwing at her felt highly unfair considering how much of a tease he was being in denying her what she was kind of requesting. Or well, asking for at least. The thought could mean that in a very different way sent butterflies running through her stomach, although she attempted to hide that his words impacted her at all. "Much appreciated. If you're going to give it to me I want to be able to enjoy it fully." She said in such a casual tone that the innuendo was easy to miss, but she meant it twice as much. Since the roles were reversed just a little with him playing hard to get she wanted to savour the moment just a little bit. It wasn't often that the guy was more patient than she was after all, even less so when dealing with sailors.
It took a while to find the place to eat, but Deva hardly minded as it didn't feel like a long time at all. Time seemed to fly, which was a little sad since it only made her want more of it. When he held the door to the little italian place they'd found she smiled at him as she walked in, although she was sad to release the arm he'd so generously offered her earlier. She missed the proximity already, although the place looked cozy enough for them to really get comfortable together. She spied a cute corner booth with a round table and cushioned seats that was just the right kind of dimly lit. It would keep them from being noticed very easily to give them that sense of privacy but at the same time offer a perfectly romantic atmosphere. It didn't look very fancy, but it did look perfectly cozy. She looked over at her stranger with a happy smile. "It smells good already. I can't wait to...." She paused for a moment with a twinkle in her eyes and a little smile on her face. "... satisfy my appetite."

To be honest, most that knew Bjorn would be shocked by his current patience. He was the indulgent type most of the time. Unless he had a plan. Even then, this woman didn't really need a plan to seduce. It seemed their connection was quite natural, with no needed extra help from Bjorn. Despite that, he was still enjoying the teasing and tormenting. It wasn't often that he had someone come on so strongly towards him. It would almost be a shame when his patience finally ran out. Her comment on hoping it wouldn't be disappointing made him chuckle, but he didn't respond. He'd remember that comment. For later.
Bjorn liked her "roll with the punches" attitude. He might surprise her momentarily, but she was quick to recover and respond. She wasn't just some ditzy brained beauty that relied on her looks to make it by in the world. No, there as a level head on her shoulders. One that he was finding more and more fascinating the longer they talked. It wasn't just her looks he was attracted to, though that was a definitely a nice plus. No, the way she spoke, the things she said... He wanted to know more about her. That almost scared him. To be attracted to her mind just as much as her looks. But it was a good kind of scared. Like the adrenaline a thunderstorm brought when on the ship. Beautiful chaos that made him itch for more.
The Italian place wasn't upscale, but it wasn't too casual either. A nice in between, like they'd set out to find. Upon entering, he followed her gaze to the corner booth. A perfect spot, and no surprise she'd found it so quickly. One of the waiters approached, and Bjorn nodded to the booth in question. It seemed to be a slow time of the day for the place, so the waiter happily obliged, leading the way to the table. Bjorn, despite not having her on his arm anymore, moved closer to her as they walked to the table. Unfortunately there wasn't a chair to pull out for her. So instead he wanted until she'd seated herself before sitting, shifting closer to the inside of the booth to be closer to her. The waiter left them menus and left to get them water. Bjorn leaned a touch closer to her. "I rather like seeing you try so hard to get me undressed. But be warned, I'll remember how much you tormented me when my patience finally runs out and I can wait no longer." He paused just a moment, his icy blue eyes intense. "And I don't know if I'll be able to let you go once that happens. So-" He paused again, leaning back with a smirk. "Let's enjoy a night of teasing and... mostly innocent fun. Because I can't promise it will be so innocent next time." He motioned to the menu in front of her, as if to tell her to get whatever she'd like.

They were led to their little booth and Deva behaved perfectly while the waiter was nearby. So did Bjorn, it seemed. Best to keep up a semblence of good behaviour in an unknown place, right? Still, her entire body was buzzing with excitement as she entered her own little fairy tale story. Well, even more so since he was adamant not to up the rating so much that kids wouldn't be able to hear the story without censorship. That was a total shame of course but it also was just a little bit romantic. That he wanted to save that for another time.
When they were seated she couldn't help but chuckle at his threat that he'd remember her taunting, teasing and torment when his turn came around. "Well I'm looking forward to seeing how you plan to torture me without waiting or torturing yourself a little more in the process. It sounds like you have some tricks up your sleeve but I do sincerely like a little bit of a challenge. Creating it or facing it doesn't matter too much, they're both plenty entertaining." She said playfully, although his eyes made her want to melt into his arms. Well, there was only one thing for it, teasing him more. Or well, that was the permanent plan for the night. She smiled slightly. "Also curious how you plan to show me that you're not letting me go. I'm sure that you have plenty of experience with tying things up as a sailor but it's a different thing to apply said knowledge to kidnapping." She looked up at him with a wicked smirk on her face. "Colour me curious."
He motioned to the menu and she just had to pretend it was far too far away. She scooted over closer to him as she opened the menu, inviting him very indiscreetly for a bit of intimacy that was, as he put it, rather innocent. Not that such a thing was enough to keep her satisfied. As she scanned the menu she put one hand on his knee, absently tracing patterns across it to keep her hand busy while she flipped the pages to try and find something she liked. If he was planning to behave she was going to make it a lot of fun for herself. She hummed softly to herself as she looked over the options in front of her. "I mean, the pasta carbonara sounds good." She mused, still keeping her very decent behaviour above the table even as she attempted to taunt and tease him more. She tapped her lips for a moment as she looked over at him with an innocent little smile playing on her lips. "Should we order some wine as well?"

Deva was going to be testing his patience all night, he could feel it. Though that knowledge almost seemed to strengthen his patience. Because his holding out also seemed to frustrate her to no end. Giving in now seemed almost wrong. As if it would cheapen whatever this was between them. But gods above, he'd be very frustrated after... "You are going to be a handful, aren't you?" He thought aloud, smirking at her. "I don't 'plan' on keeping you at all. If today hasn't been evidence enough, you'll stay on your own. But if you would prefer I tie you up... that can be arranged. If that's how you like it." He may be gentle now, with her. But Bjorn wasn't a gentle man. She'd managed to draw out a very different side of him. She moved closer, and as he moved his arm between them to rest around her waist. It was a casual, but intimate position. But it was nice. It also gave him the perfect leverage to pull her just a little closer. "For now though, Is this 'not letting go' good enough for you?" He whispered into her ear. Of course, he wanted much more, but alas, his patience would win out today.
God, what was she doing? He felt her hand on his leg. It was quite tame a gesture, but he couldn't help but think about all their teasing, and what he clearly wanted to do to her. Oh no, she was doing it on purpose. He tightened his arm around her waist, trying to focus on the menu as she flipped the pages, but it was blasted hard. Even more so when she looked at him with that innocent smile. "Now you're trying to get me drunk? What sort of siren have I caught today?" He breathed, trying to sound calm but it was very, very, hard. "You pick the wine. Unfortunately wine isn't my forte." It'd give him something else to focus on then her hand, at least.

Well, it seemed like it was his turn to call her out. Oh dear. The worst part? He was absolutely right. She'd stay of her own volition for sure. However, the vocal temptations were drawing her in and she cared less and less about decorum or social expectations with every passing minute. She smiled, a small one as she attempted to hold it back at first but it grew to a wide grin fast enough. "Well it's your own fault of course." She said, but completely unable to keep the smile off her face. "You shouldn't seduce me like that if you aren't planning to hook me." Naturally she wasn't aware of her own pun and how it fit into his family history but that hardly was on her mind in the moment. She was just blaming him for her own actions for the fun of it. He had very much depleted her will to practise self control and ladylike behaviour though, so it wasn't just her own fault.
At least part of her plan was working since getting closer to him had gotten him to wrap his arm around her, just like she'd hoped for. Even better, he pulled her closer, making her heart jump in her chest a little bit. His whispers gave her the shivers in the best possible way. She smiled, feeling warm and precious in his embrace. "It'll do for now." She said playfully, although she was teasing more than actually unhappy. It was more than she could have asked for, although she supposed she had requested it at least.
There it was! She felt like she'd achieved quite a thing when she heard the faintest hint that he was a lot more affected by her than he cared to admit. She pretended not to notice, keeping her completely innocent pokerface in place. "I don't know what you're talking about." She said, managing by some miracle to keep her face from betraying just how much she was enjoying it. At the same time the hand that had been tracing patterns on his knee paused for just a second before running a nail across his pants slowly and suggestively as if she knew exactly what she'd be doing if they had been in a very different situation. "I don't expect a rough sailor as yourself to be affected by a single glass of wine so it can hardly be my plan to feed you drunk.." She said, breaking eye contact to look back at the menu, her hand returning to the teasing circles she'd been drawing before. "Does red sound fine or do you have a preference for white?" She asked him conversationally, although the smile was back on his lips now that her little ploy had been pulled off without her breaking out in a smile. That had been quite difficult to pull off.
