Deva wasn't particularly forgetful by nature but she did worry about certain things more than others. Her family was one of them. While she often disagreed with them in terms of things such as people deserving a chance rather than judgement it left her fully aware of how impossible her parents could be from time to time. Mostly her dad. He was overprotective but he loved her dearly and she knew it. She'd probably have to call him at some point to let him know, since an owl probably wouldn't make it in time and wouldn't give him enough opportunity to tell her how irresponsible she was being. Well, he was right, plenty of time for that mess later. She smiled, hugging him a little closer. "You're right, now isn't the time. I'll just send them an owl tomorrow." That was going to blow up in her face, possibly with them considering sending her a howler. She didn't think they'd actually do that if they thought she was just on a regular vacation though. If they knew the truth, well then the entire crew would enjoy some angry yelling from her father. She had to push the thought aside for a moment, as she didn't want it to start eating away on her mind.
When he said he couldn't promise he'd let her focus on work too much she laughed and it felt like she'd just had a weight lifted off her shoulders again. She kissed him with a quick little butterfly kiss. "While I don't want to share you with the crew I definitively don't want your sister to kill me for not letting you do your job." Yet there was a twinkle in her eyes as she thought about all the possible distractions she could be giving him while working on his documentation that really amused her. "But perhaps I can find a way to combine your work and pleasure." She said teasingly. If that was going to be as much fun as it had been to notice his tiny signs of desire on their first dates she'd be up on cloud nine for three full weeks, provided of course, that she'd get the third one.
So he'd been a professional quidditch player? That was mighty interesting and she found that it was quite appealing. He was clearly athletically gifted and by the looks of it he'd been a beater. Well, if that was the case it leaned into the idea he could always just fight off pirates with a beats club if he had one lying around. It was an amusing idea but probably very far from the truth. The mental image almost had her laughing as she imagined him striking a very stereotypical pirate with a beaters club like an old-fashioned hero. It was appealing but not at all realistic. Not to mention that such a situation would most likely be rather dangerous and the idea of him in danger didn't really settle well with her. She much preferred to see him safe and close to her. Not that it would always be possible. It seemed he was attracted to risks, as quidditch, especially at a professional level, wasn't at all safe. The same went for being a sailor. She wasn't sure if there was anything risky or dangerous about herself that might appeal to him but the idea seemed insane. There was nothing dangerous about her and she didn't want to be dangerous either. At worst she could live with being dangerous in terms of being a distraction but she figured that picking the right times to distract or not distract was enough to keep that from being a real risk to anybody.
Her search was interrupted as he suddenly captured her in his arms, hugging her a little unexpectedly. She loved the feeling and couldn't help but lean into him just a little bit. Was there a safer place on this world where she would be happier? Probably not. His words of not yet did have her curious, since she didn't know why they'd wait until he made it clear there were places to go. He retrieved a cloak from his wardrobe and if Deva was correct it was part of the Durmstrang garb. It made sense since he'd been in Norway. It was a beautiful red and had a little bit of a fur decoration, which meant it was probably nice and warm. He seemed to have outgrown it a little. She looked down at the shirt she had on and realised it was barely sufficient to be any kind of decent. He threw the cloak about her and she bit her lip. She was practically surrounded by him without his arms actually being in his arms and it felt good. He invited her to come and she bit her lip, glancing briefly at the dress she definitively couldn't use. "One second." She said and ran over to grab her wand. With two tiny spells she fixed her problem of overexposure to a multitude of strangers. She made the shirt a little longer and less wide and used a strip of cloth as improvised belt. It almost looked like a dress of sorts rather than the result of a hurried leave after a heated tumble. Decent enough. She then rushed over to him, not brothering with shoes. The cloak would hopefully keep her warm enough.
She took the hand he'd offered and intertwined their fingers, holding his arm slightly as she looked up at him with big curious eyes. "What are we off to see?" She asked, torn as she searched around after exciting the cabin. She wasn't sure what she was supposed to see (yet) but she knew that not looking at him was challenging. The view of the sea all around her and the breeze seemed to go straight through the cloak and into her soul though. Since she hadn't been out yet since they'd departed the harbour she hadn't felt it yet. She took a deep breath, closing her eyes for a moment to fully take in the moment. She'd missed this so much more than she'd realised. She could feel herself getting emotional, feeling her body resist the urge to tear up in the joy of being out on the open ocean again. That piece that had felt like it was missing all summer was finally there. It was colder than she was used to but it didn't matter. This was a little piece of heaven. A part of her wanted to dash towards the rail and looked at the water below them and enjoy the fine spray of the ocean that so often hit her face when she was younger and sought the places for cooling in the relentless heat of the beating summer sun. Hy-brasil had been swallowed by the distance and the sky seemed to already be colouring in the stars of the night. As if by impulse of some unseen force she smiled as she stepped forward, releasing his hand, to take in everything about her. She smelt the salty scent of the sea, her eyes trailed up to the early twinkle of many bright stars not destroyed by the many lights of the city felt the ship rock ever so gently, like a mother trying to comfort her crying child. Her heart soared and she felt as if she could almost float away on a little cloud of joy. She looked over her shoulder at Bjorn with a smile she knew he'd be bound to understand. The smile of one returning to a beloved place after having been away from it far too long...

October 20, 2025 @deva
That.... was something Bjorn hadn't considered. How distracting she was going to be on this little adventure. He was still the captain, and had plenty of duties he had to fulfill. He couldn't throw it all on Lotten, as much as he would love to. No, he had to still do his job. And he'd have to somehow manage, knowing a beautiful woman was on board. Always within reach. God above, what had he gotten himself into? If there was ever going to be a mutiny on the ship, it would be sometime in the next few weeks. "I'll just have to ensure you're too tired to distract me when I do have to work," he said, finally coming to that conclusion. Considering their fun only a short time ago... It might be a lofty goal, but he was always up for a challenge.
Deva didn't immediately take his hand, and he watch with mild interest as she used the remains of her dress to modify his shift and fix herself a belt. Well, he definitely wouldn't be wearing that again. He had to admit though... It looked very good on her. His eyes trailed up her body as she made the adjustments. Even with the improvements, it would be clear to any of the crew who's shirt that was, and what they'd bee up to. A thought that actually made him feel a touch jealous. The crew, seeing her like this. Thankfully the cloak would help hide her rather exposed figure. If she kept it shut. He'd have to keep an eye out for any wandering crewmates' eyes however...
She finally returned to him, entwining their fingers and he squeeze her hand a little. She asked where they were off to and he smiled. He opened the door and lead the way out. "You'll see." He wasn't going to ruin the surprise. The hall was a few degrees colder then his room, the closed door at least helping keep some of the bitter ocean breeze at bay. The closer they got to the deck, the colder it got. It was why he'd gotten the cloak out. That one especially. Durmstrang was a cold place, so the cloak was especially warm. But she'd be surprise soon just how cold it could get out here.
Deva let go of his hand as they reached the deck, taking a few steps away from him. Bjorn stopped, turning and watching her curiously. It was... intoxicating. He could almost read her thoughts in that moment. He'd known she loved the ocean. Sailing, ships. That was what had first interested him about her. A true, honest to goodness, love of those things. But to now see her? That jealousy grew a bit more. Then, she smiled at him over her shoulder. His heart nearly stopped, then painfully beat once more. No, how could he be jealous when she looked at him like that? It took his breath away, and he hardly felt the cold air bit against his skin. He almost didn't even notice the crew, casting him glances as they worked. Though it was blissfully short, that moment solidified his resolve. This woman... How had it taken him so long to find her?
Bjorn cleared his throat, finally breaking eye contact with her to turn his own head towards the steering wheel, where Lotten and a crewmate were waiting. "Take her up," he ordered, his captain's voice finally back. Lotten, who had been giving them quite the look, nodded. Bjorn stepped forward, placing a hand at the small of Deva's back. "This way," he whispered, leading her towards the front of the ship, right up against the rail. He placed a hand on each side of her, trapping her there against the railing. For her own safety, of course, since she'd been drinking. Didn't want her tumbling overboard. There were a series of orders barked from Lotten behind them.
The ship almost seemed the shudder as the wave of an enchantment washed over the ship. From their position at the front of the ship, Deva would be able to see the waves against the ship's hull grow weaker... weaker... Then there were no waves at all. The ship was rising into the air. Sailing into the sky. The ship was flying. Higher, higher. The temperature dropped quickly. This was the main reason he'd grabbed that particular cloak for her. The ocean was cold at night, but the sky even more so, especially since they were heading north. The ship shimmered again as a camouflaging spell activated. Couldn't have muggles seeing a flying ship, now could they? "You did ask why we didn't have to worry about pirates," he whispered in her ear, leaned against her. The bitter cold didn't bother him. If anything it made him feel alive. While Deva loved the sea, Bjorn loved both the sea and sky. They were almost one to him. The tops of the ship's mast brushed against a cloud though didn't ascend above them. The view.... Well, this was why Bjorn had wanted her to see this. Endless oceans lay before them. As far as they eye could see. The stars above shown even brighter. He never grew tired of his view. Though, he'd trade it any day for Deva to smile at him like she had before.

It was almost cute that he thought he could exhaust her to the point she'd be unable to distract her. No matter how much energy their activities took, they gave her such a boost that it felt like she was high. It was like she was running on an endless source of energy when he was nearby. Like he was her endless source of energy. She knew she'd have to sleep at some point so she knew the energy would eventually run out but it felt like forever and forever could wait. Right now counted so much more. Still, the adjustments on his shirt were simple enough that they could be reserved but kept her at least looking a little more decent. All in all the cloak did far more to that effect but she didn't really like the idea of making a wrong move and exposing parts of her body she preferred to keep reserved for only Bjorn by accident. It wouldn't be all that bad but well, sailors. She doubted they'd avert their eyes and she felt a little awkward about the idea they might see more than she'd intended them to.
Somewhere in the back of her mind she realised the crew was probably very curious what she was doing here. They might not even like the idea that she was there but at the very least she hoped they wouldn't try to throw her overboard. While she could swim she didn't really consider it a very good idea to do so in their current location. Her moment of bliss in sharing that look with Bjorn was cut short as he cleared his throat and turned his attention away from her to the steering wheel. She was almost disappointed, but she had a feeling he'd been looking at her in exactly the way she hoped he would. Or something close enough to it. His voice took on that authoritative tone once again and the contrast was sharp compared to the tone of voice he used to talk to her. Soft, gentle and welcoming. This version was sure of what he wanted and more than ready to command. The contrast was obvious but it made her understood why nobody had seemed to have any doubts about his authority despite him bringing her back on board. If that was in the family she wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if Lotten carried the same aura about her. Going against Bjorn's sister kind of felt like it would lead to knives lodged in uncomfortable places.
She claimed the stairs with a little assistance of the crew, thanking them politely. She felt the hand on her back and knew it was Bjorn and she felt safe and unthreatened, even though the cloak didn't cover as much walking up the stairs as it did while she stood still. She could feel the chill of the night settling in the air and wondered how Bjorn wasn't cold. She glanced up at him over her shoulder for a moment before he led her to the place where she had no doubts she'd have the very best view of whatever it was that was going to happen. He led her forward and set her up right against the rail, guarding her from falling in a way that made her heart soar. She couldn't move much or turn around but she didn't feel she had to. She barely felt the chill and she risked sliding her hands out from under the cloak to put them on top of his, re-establishing their physical connection again. She didn't quite feel cold, although she figured part of that was due to the amount of alcohol she'd already gotten down her throat earlier. It was starting to settle in and she could feel the buzz slowly start to build. She didn't register the orders barked in the background, nor did she care too much about what was said. Bjorn had wanted to show her something and she was curious to see what it was. Wonderful and special without a doubt, just like he was.
It didn't take very long before the shudder passed through the ship. She knew it wasn't something to worry because Bjorn showed no sign of concern. It was odd, since it seemed that the waves were getting less. She knew it was kind of stupid dangerous but she couldn't help but lean forward over the rail to see the water fade into the distance. Good thing she wasn't afraid of heights. Then again, he wasn't afraid of anything with his arms around her. She let out a small gasp of delight and wonder as the ship started taking to the air. The wind was cold but she couldn't help it. She twisted herself a little in order to look behind and see the well lit magic as the lights of the ship danced on the sea behind them until their shadow seemed to disappear while they soared into the clouds. She felt like a little girl for a moment and spread her arms wide to welcome in the wind, despite the cold of night threatening to consume her. She didn't care, she couldn't. "We're flying!" She said absolutely breathlessly. It was incredible! She could see how he choose this over even something like a professional sports career. Nothing would ever compared to having both the thrill of the sea and the sky on every journey.
She couldn't stop staring at the oceans and the sky and their absolutely magical combination. She reached for one of his hands, holding it tightly as if to prove to herself that all of it was real. It felt more like a dream. She knew that if she could she'd have no trouble spending every evening standing here, just watching, for many hours on end. There was more magic here than any other place she'd ever seen before. Still, she tore her eyes from the stars, the skies and the seas with the only purpose of looking at the man that had brought her here. Her eyes were still full of wonder as she looked at him. "Thank you...." She muttered breathlessly, looking at the stars reflected in his eyes. She wished they could stay here forever but she knew it wasn't an option. Still, she was ready to live this reality for weeks. She smiled as he mentioned pirates and turned to face the skies again. "I guess that attacking us would be setting the bar pretty high..." She mused for a moment, leaning her head back so it was resting against his chest. She wanted to see everything around her for as long as he'd hold her in his arms. "But you're right. I'm not worried about pirates if we're flying. I was joking at first but I don't know a lot about the economical ways of the sea. For me it was always a vacation and while there were stories about pirates we weren't really a target on a small ship." Or well, she figured pirates would never have taken any interest in their tiny little boats. She shivered slightly against the cold, but she wasn't ready to leave the view just yet. She wrapped the cloak around herself a little bit tighter but glanced up at him again. "You're not going to get cold like that, are you?" She asked a little worried. She knew her feet would eventually force her to go back inside since she wasn't even wearing socks. He wasn't even wearing a shirt (since he'd so graciously lend her his) and she didn't really want him to get hypothermia. Unlike her he wasn't exactly on vacation right now.

October 20, 2025 @deva
Despite having seen this view hundreds of times, it never ceased to amaze him. Never ceased to make his heart beat fast and soar. The ocean... the sky. They were practically in his blood. A high that never grew dull, no matter how many times he felt it. Quidditch had been great, a good temporary fix while in school and those years he played professionally. But it didn't compare to this. He missed the speed of brooms, but then he'd remember the way the ship violently shook in the air in a thunderstorm. The way it felt when static was thick in the air. No, no feeling was the same. Though, for once, he wasn't staring out at the view as the ship began to soar. No, he was gazing down at the dark haired woman. He'd pulled his arms in a little bit when she'd leaned forward, to ensure she didn't take a tumble overboard.
Perhaps there was a view better then this. Deva's reaction was... a hundred times better then he could have ever imagined. His heart beat painfully hard in his chest, and he felt for a moment that he had to catch his breath. He could try to blame it on the cold but he knew it wasn't that. No, she'd taken his breath away. Showing her this had been worth it. As she recognized what was happening, throwing her arms out in pure joy. He chuckled as she spoke. He didn't respond though, not wanting to ruin the moment. As, the higher they soared, the view got better and better. Until she was just staring out in pure wonder. He felt her hand on one of his, and shifted, lacing his fingers through hers then moving that hand against her waist, pulling her tightly against him. He still kept his other hand on the rail, just in case. She somehow managed to look away from the stars and ocean, turning her head up to gaze at him. He still hadn't looked away from her. He smiled. "Just wait till we get further north." Where the Northern lights were. Now that was a sight, though they wouldn't reach there tonight, unfortunately. But it was another lovely surprise for her when it did happen. He chuckled as she went on about pirates, and the "economical ways of the sea". "You know, most women fantasize of meeting a rugged, law-breaking pirate. It's terribly romantic. And yet you're so worried about them. I think your family has fed you far to many ghost stories." Though, to be honest, he was sure many were true. "Though, if any pirates knew you were on the seas, they'd come flocking. They'd be unable to resist a beautiful woman with sea smarts." Of course, he wasn't worried about his crew trying to make any moves on her. They knew better then to mess with Bjorn like that. He'd put them in their place if they even tried.
Deva mentioned the cold and he smirked. "How can I complain of the cold when I'll have you to warm me later?" He couldn't help the shameless flirt. In all honesty, it was simply his upbringing. He was used to the cold. Nights like this were completely normal for him. It was a bit chilly, that was true. But he'd endured far colder, for far longer. No, if she was worried about the cold now... Well, he'd have to talk to Lotten to get Deva warmer clothes. The farther they traveled, the colder it would get. The ship was designed for travel, not comfort. While magic helped immensely, Bjorn had to make sure Deva was equiped to handle the weather and cold in the coming weeks...

Wait till they got further north? Then it hit her, the letters and his mention of the northern lights. It would probably be the right season for that, although the idea she'd ever see them hadn't crossed her mind until he said that one sentence. That had to be a mighty view to behold. The fact he'd once said in his letters that she was more beautiful than the northerrn lights had seemed so far fetched and she found it quite likely that it would seem even more of an overkill after seeing it herself. Still, she was far more occupied with the idea that she might behold them than the words he'd written back then. He'd offered to take her sailing, but this was beyond her wildest dreams. The skies were beautiful, the reflection of the stars in the see nothing less than undiluted magic. It was like she was dreaming and she wasn't ready to wake up, even if she knew she had to one day. The only acceptable way to wake up would be in his arms. Otherwise this surely was nothing but the best dream she'd ever had.
She gave him an amused look as he mentioned that most woman would fantasize about meeting a rugged law-breaking pirate. "Really? I wonder why? Do they dream of getting robbed then?" She asked, although there wasn't a lot of judgment in her voice, mostly just amusement. "Or did I get the bad stories with all the murder and pillaging and do those girls get tales of dreamy warriors that rush off to save the girl? Because the stories I had usually had the pirates kidnapping the girl so the heroes could save her. Or well, that's the Peter Pan version at least." She shrugged slightly, not caring too much for the romanisation of any kind of criminal. She'd been raised to follow the rules, not break them. She wasn't breaking any rules currently, except perhaps some that her father made. She was old enough to make her own choices though, so she'd started seeing those far more as guidelines than rules. She chuckled as he complimented her. "Well we'd best not let the news get out then. I'm not in the mood to be kidnapped by a bunch of pirates of my vacation. Least of all when I want to spend it with you, and not some law-breaking criminals." Little did she know that he was actually one of them. Little would she be able to care by the time she found out, even if that time would have been now. It was far too late for her heart to be saved from falling for him. She'd have to eat those words later, although she didn't know it yet.
He suggested she could warm him later and she smiled and nestled into his arms a little further. He had a good point. She felt the cold, although she figured it was partially because she wasn't wearing any shoes. It wasn't so bad that she felt the need to leave, even less so when she was still floating on cloud nine due to her company. The shirt wasn't very warm and the cloak was pretty much all she had to battle the cold with, it was enough for now but if they went further north she'd have to consider wearing socks at least when going on the deck, and probably some warmer clothes. Warmer clothes that she hadn't brought. She pulled a slight face. "I didn't bring any clothes since I didn't really anticipate this little holiday." She said, voicing her concerns out loud. "Do you think we could get some fabrics? I could probably sew something decent enough while you're working that should at least keep me warm." She figured some rather basic dresses of a warmer and sturdy material would easily work. She hadn't tried pants yet and she didn't exactly have the books to start on it now. For now the cloak would have to do but she didn't really have any decent clothes now that her own dress had been torn to pieces. Maybe she'd have to have considered that before she challenged him to destroy it.... She looked up. "Maybe we can warm each other up later then? I'm not that cold yet but I figure we'll both be quite cold before we seek the comforts of your quarters again. I'd like to enjoy the view as long as I can manage." She leaned her head against his chest, her eyes still on the view she'd mentioned. It would be a while before she'd cooled down too much but she just wasn't ready to leave yet.

Deva really was a 'walk the straight path' sort. It was quite amusing. Clearly, she didn't have any fantasies of law breakers, or outlaws. Yet somehow she'd fallen for, what she thought, was a mere sailor who happened to be much more then that. Bjorn wondered how that conversation might go.... But he knew he didn't want to have it. Afraid what she might think of him. It would test her devotion to the law. So, he just wouldn't tell her. He really would have to have a talk with Lotten. Lotten had gotten them into this mess. The crew would have to be very... very. careful. And likely Bjorn would have to keep an even closer eye on Deva, to ensure she didn't see anything she shouldn't. "Does that make me a pirate then for kidnapping you? I hope no heroes come calling. I'd rather like to keep you." The mention of Peter Pan was ironic. Perhaps she'd get a kick out of the family history there. That wouldn't give away there current work, would it?
Bjorn pulled her tighter against him, partially for warmth, but mostly because it was nice to just have her there. After weeks of being apart. Their fun early simply wasn't enough. He need to feel her near. "Well, I don't see much use for clothes when we're alone," he teased, before continuing. "I'll talk to my sister. She got us into this mess. The least she can do is help sort out your wardrobe situation."
This was worth it. All of it. The drama his sister had caused. Being away a few weeks. The view, with her, made it worth it. To share this with someone that appreciated it. Someone that felt the call in the wind like he did. Perhaps that's what every other woman had been lacking. That kindred spirit. Despite being on opposite sides of the law, they both had the same love. The call of the ocean. Something so deep into their souls that it defined them. Because no other woman would have taken in this scene. And, as great as the sex was, both were perfectly content staying out here as long as they could. Bjorn, taking in the view that never grew old. Deva taking in the view for the very first time. "We can stay as long as you want," he whispered. Eventually they'd have to go back in. But not yet.

She chuckled softly at his question if his unintentional kidnapping turned him into a pirate. It was a cute sentiment, although she figured that the tales of pirates had spoken to his imagination a lot more than her own. As a sailor and a man that loved the sea the stories of pirates would likely appeal more, since they were daring people on the seas. She could imagine that would sound good to younger men at least. Maybe the more wild streaks would never really fade from the heart of men. The suggestion that heroes would come calling to take her away was rather amusing in the end. "Don't worry, if the heroes come they'll find they'll have to kidnap me to take me from here." She said playfully. "But I don't think you can count as a pirate for accidental kidnapping when the victim doesn't even protest. It seems a little far fetched to pull that through in court." She knew enough of the law to know that it would be a very flimsy case at best.
He had a very good case when it came to the clothes though. They didn't really need them when it was just the two of them but Deva had no intention of locking herself up in his cabin the entire journey, even less so when there were sights like this to be seen. Their fun had been amazing but she wanted him for so much more than just that by now. His words were too romantic and even though this could be considered a kidnapping there was nowhere else she'd rather be currently. They shared a passion for the same thing. She was starting to need him for the person he was far above what they could have in terms of amusement. She smiled and lightly leaned against him. "Clothes are optional between the two of us, yes." She agreed lightly. He mentioned getting his sister to fix the wardrobe situation and Deva hummed in agreement. "Either that or we can see about picking up some fabric somewhere. I'm good enough at sowing make something passable." Not to mention that she actually enjoyed that sort of a thing enough. Still, she wouldn't be opposed to borrowing some clothes but she had no idea if Lotten had the same size and she probably wouldn't feel fully comfortable in something that wasn't her style... at all.
Deva wasn't sure she'd ever experienced something like this before. It was the call of the sea and the call of the sky in one. It was pure freedom and adventure and it was unlike anything she'd experienced before. Whatever happened next was worth it. She didn't believe Bjorn would lightly discard her but even if he would this was more than worth it. This one experience. She wanted to make the most of it so even though her feet grew colder and the slight breeze wanted to bite her she didn't care. She'd freeze like an ice cube before giving this up. He could warm her up after, although she knew she'd be tempted to stay here well until after the sun would have risen once again. "Careful." She said in a quiet whisper. "I might be enchanted by this beauty and forget to leave. I'll watch the dawn come and go and not move until the harsh light of day brings everything crashing back into reality." It was quite something to see this and she knew it wouldn't be wise to stay here all that long, even more so considered they'd skipped dinner in favour of other things. Yet sometimes wisdom didn't stand a chance of winning compared the experience or the feeling of it all. Despite all her talk of law, she couldn't win when it came to her feelings fighting her sense.

October 20, 2025 @deva
It wasn't that Bjorn was forced into this lifestyle, despite his father's involvement. No, his father had never forced any of his children into the life. Hell, Bjorn's youngest sister was about as straight as they came, much like Deva. Bjorn's mother, likewise, wasn't a pirate or criminal. She'd taught them right from wrong growing up. No, Bjorn had just fallen in love with the ship, the ocean, the sky... He'd followed his father's footsteps naturally, making the family three generations of pirates. Again, stories for another day. Once she knew, and accepted what he was. But hopefully that conversation wouldn't happen any time soon. "Well, it sounds like you were practically begging to be kidnapped. My sister did us a service." As odd as it sounded... she had. Because he hadn't' thought past today. Past what would happen after seeing her. Now that Deva was on board... Well, it seemed at the very least, they had the next two weeks together. Instead of a single night, which would have been what it was if Lotten hadn't gotten ambitious. Because tomorrow... They would have had to leave port. The druid port had simply been a slight detour. He couldn't have stayed long.
Deva mentioned his sister's help, or at least getting her fabric to make something passable. He couldn't help but look down at her. She had mentioned getting into sewing in their letters. Though, he somewaht doubted they'd be passable in the cold. But, he could cater to her a bit. Some nice winter gear and clothes, and then some fabrics for her own enjoyment. "I'll see what I can do." She'd need something to help pass the time, when he was working. Though, he was pretty sure the small library in his cabin would entertain her for quite a while, from the way she'd eyed his cabin during that initial tour.
Bjorn held her close with one arm, watching the view, then gazing down to watch her. To soak in her expression and wonder. It was as amazing as the view itself. He could get lose in those dark eyes of hers, given a chance. He shifted, taking his other hand off the railing and wrapping it around her waist, holding her close to his chest. He had his sea legs, or in this case, sky legs, so it would take quite a bit to make him lose his balance. He wouldn't let her fall over the edge in her buzzed state. "You can wake up to it every morning." He didn't know why he said it like that... like he wasn't just saying for the two, maybe three weeks.
Though, as much as he would love to stay out here, with her, he did have a few things to take care of. And no doubt she was bound to get cold eventually. But he stayed as long as he could. The view almost seemed to grow better and better as the sun finished fully setting, casting neverending darkness across the dark waters below. Then, the stars above lit, bright and clear. Clearer then you'd ever seen in any city. No, they shone bright, cascading the dark night into a pale glow. This was really his favorite view. When the stars and moon were out. Millions of stars could be seen, endless adventures in his mind. So bright that you could see them reflecting in the ocean below.
Alas though, it was getting quite cold. With her in his arms he could feel the cold starting to get to her, seeping into the cloak. "Time to go in," he whispered, unwrapping his arms, and taking her hand. The cabin might not be as warm as he would be used to, but it would be better then out here, and he had a few enchantments he could cast to chase off the remainder of the cold. The crew had mostly disappeared below deck during their time taking in the view. Their laughs and banter echoed through the ship. Obviously having a grand time. The only ones left on deck were Bjorn, Deva, and two other crewmates, one navigating the ship while the other kept him company. "I'll have to leave you for a bit once we're back at my cabin. Don't go drinking my entire alcohol stash without me," he teased, since she'd drank quite a bit of the one he'd had out already. But no, he had a few things to take care of, and he'd also make sure to grab some food from the kitchen, where the rest of the crew was no doubt. He needed to speak with them. And Lotten. About how Deva's presence changed things. Before she saw something she shouldn't.
(time skipped them a bit at the end)

Deva laughed wholeheartedly when Bjorn suggested she'd practically been begging to be kidnapped. It wasn't all that extreme but she didn't mind the thought behind it. When it came to him? No, she didn't mind being kidnapped at all and it felt like a very decent excuse to be away from home. Still she'd rather not tell anybody that was likely to worry since it was a bit of a shaky scenario legally speaking but in this moment she couldn't manage to worry as much as she normally might have. She felt so safe and well cared for that it was hard to imagine she could get hurt. It seemed even less likely now that she knew the ship could fly. Bjorn had a good point considering that it seemed near impossible anybody would manage harm when they were so far above the sea. She didn't think she'd have to worry about the airplanes though, she didn't think they were quite that high up. Even so a beauty like this was bound to be enchanted with so many concealing and protective charms against being noticed by muggles that it didn't seem logical to worry about it. If the enchantments didn't comply it seemed impossible for him to be able to dock anywhere without law enforcement being on top of him instantly.
It was enough to Deva that Bjorn promised to see what he could do. While she loved reading she could sometimes get restless if she had nothing but books as company. In the past she'd sometimes bought audiobooks as a guilty pleasure and had used them to keep her mind busy while her hands worked on sowing project of a more simple nature. She had a machine at home but making clothes by hand was rewarding and exhausting at the same time. She had managed her spells well enough by now to know she could have the needle sowing for her while she got cuddles up on the bed with a good book.
There was something in the way he said those words that made her heart race. Every morning, not every morning for the next two or three weeks. He didn't suggest a time limit, as if he was suggesting he wanted to consider a longer time than just that after for her to come back and wake up to it again. For Deva that sounded like music to her ears, especially after having the doors to a future closed on her so often. The future had not been a welcome topic before, but now it seemed like they both were dancing around the idea of a commitment to each other for longer than a little while. His words hinted, now his actions were joining his words in their suggestions. Deva found the security he was suggesting to be far more comforting than she'd expected. She'd feared it to be far more daunting, but he offered her the suggestion of the future she'd always wanted to have without an endless chain of reservations and redirections. She smiled as she settled in the idea in her mind. Every morning. "I'd like that." She said softly, her tone clearly talking about the idea of many mornings to follow and not with the light-hearted air of a week or two.
With the ocean in full view below Deva could see the ripples and waves the wind caused in the ocean to distort the reflection of the stars in the sky. It was almost like a globe where they were surrounded by twinkling little lights in all directions. She was sure she'd never experienced anything more romantic in her entire life. She grabbed his hand, wanting to feel that connection with him as he enjoyed the view with her. She could hardly imagine anything could be more beautiful than this, yet she found no need or desire to speak. He'd know exactly what was on her mind, as it seemed unlikely he didn't realise how magnificent the sight before them was. He'd brought her out here to see it and she was grateful for that. She wouldn't have wanted to miss this for the world. She felt like she could stand there forever, but eventually she felt him shift and move. He whispered it was time to go back in, releasing her from the warmth and comfort of his embrace. She felt he waves of regret wash over her as she knew it was time to say goodbye to the view in the beautiful quiet moment. Yet she felt at ease as she took her hand in his and started guiding her back. She squeezed it softly and smiled at him. She was still at a loss for words to describe how she felt, but she hoped her expression would tell him what he needed to know all the same.
He eventually said he had to leave her for a while after they got back and she nodded. He probably had some business to attend to with the crew. She had no idea how long it would take, but since she was just a guest she knew better than to get in his way. As they arrived back at the cabin she stood on tiptoes to kiss him for a moment. "I won't drink everything." She promised with a slight smile. "I doubt I'd be able to find everything." She said cheerfully, although she didn't instantly make herself at home. She wanted to be near him, but he had his own business to attend to. "I'll wait for you to come back and will try to warm up a little in the mean time." She hadn't really realised how cold she'd gotten, although the slight buzz of the alcohol had her feel the cold a lot less.
Suddenly a twinkle popped into her eyes as she looked at his uncovered chest. "Maybe you should put on a shirt before you go take care of business though." She said playfully. "I can give you back this one but it won't fit as well as when you had it on last." Still her eyes travelled and explored his chest, the place where she'd been held what felt like moments ago in utter peace. Yet before that it had been nothing but passion to explore. How strange how perfectly those opposites seemed to combine in him. She forced her eyes upwards to meet his again, a soft smile on her face. "But on the other hand whatever you'd put on will probably be off again moments after you come back so if that's not worth the effort needed to put it on....." She suggested it playfully, although she found the idea of him doing his captain business without a shirt on somewhat amusing. Most people would have a hard time being taken seriously when speaking to a crew shirtless but she somehow had no doubts he'd pull that off effortlessly.

Bjorn really didn't want to leave her. Alas, he had to. He had work to to. Plus, the longer he waited to warn off the crew, the more likely she saw something she shouldn't. And that was not a conversation they should have. Not yet. And especially not while she was here partially against her will. The reached his cabin and he pushed the door open. Before entering though she'd turned back to him and kissed him. Immediately he reached out to wrap an arm around her waist, stopping her from pulling away after the short kiss. While below deck wasn't warm, it was warmer then outside and he could now feel the cold radiating off her. He smirked a little. "I'll warm you up when I get back," he breathed. There was definitely one activity they could do that would warm them up...
He released her waist, and lightly directed her to enter the cabin. He entered himself, and as she suggested a shirt he laughed. "Are you worried the crew will know what we've been up to? It's a little too late for that. They knew the moment I brought you on board." But her suggestion was sound, he should at least look a bit more respectable. He moved to the dresser near the bed, opened a drawer, and pulled out a shirt. He quickly pulled it over his head, slipping his arms through and yanking it down to cover his torso. Then, he retrieved his wand that had been resting on the dresser. Quickly her muttered a few spells to help warm to cabin, chasing off the cold. He pocketed his wand after and approached her. Reaching up, he ran a hand through her hair and kissed her forehead. "No wandering off. We may not have to worry about waves when we're airborne but storms come in quick, especially this time of year." That and he didn't want her seeing something she shouldn't before he'd warned the crew.

Knowing he still had a job to do helped keep her more sober in light of his planned short absence. He couldn't do all his work from his personal quarters, that simply wasn't how ships worked. He'd have to also involve himself with his crew and whatever business took precedence. Since he had obviously steered of the original track according to his sister it was clear there were things to be handled for him. She didn't really want him to leave but she also knew he didn't really have much of a choice. Their first meeting had made it rather obvious that he loved his job and was a professional kind of guy, regardless of whatever his feelings for her were. He wouldn't simply throw everything he'd worked for overboard because she was around, nor did she want him to. Yet his promise to warm her up when she got back put a smile on her face, especially with the suggestion that came with. A very good time indeed.
She blushed slightly but chuckled as he mentioned the entire crew would probably long since know what they'd been up to. "I mean, I know. It's more that it might look a little..... rushed?" She suggested, "If you'd go in shirtless. Like you're planning to go back to me before you've even finished your sentence." She said with a slight giggle. She guessed he at least wanted to, regardless of whether or not he could. He was patient enough to do what was right by his crew, their first meeting had proven that much. He wouldn't rush if he didn't feel like it. Yet she shivered at his touch as he warned her not to go looking for trouble. There might not be waves but there were still storms to be considered. She nodded, quite unconcerned. For the moment she didn't really have that much of an urge to explore just yet. There was still plenty to discover in his cabin after all. She would be more inclined to look around the places he was willing to show her the next day, especially when regular business was at hand. She was quite curious about his ship, even more so after all the talking they'd done on their first date and the letters they'd exchanged. For now she was satisfied where she was, as she didn't expect his business to take all that long.

Bjorn saw her blush and immediately liked it. IT was cute, that hint of pink in her cheeks. Though she seemed very concerned for his honor, which was just as cute. If only she knew who she was really dealing with. THough that was a thought he didn't want to have. No, Deva didn't need to know that. Someday, maybe. "And what if that is my plan?" He asked quite seriously, as... it was the plan. He planned on taking advantage of her being on board as much as possible.
At least though, being fully dressed as he was now, he was definitely more respectable. He stepped away from her, heading to the door and opening it. "Don't make too big of a mess," he added as he stepped out the door and closed it. Oh, he had no doubt what she'd do in his absence. He remembered her expression when he'd first showed her the cabin, that need to explore. It was inevitable. Not that he had anything to hide in there, she was free to explore all she wanted.
-eeeh, about an hour or two later?- God above, Bjorn was mentally exhausted. Tracking down every crew member to make sure they were in on the upcoming ruse. Making sure every single possible contraband or other suspicious item was safely stored in the secret haul. Making sure Ri kept his moonshine to himself and magically sealed the cabin with his distillery so only he or Bjorn could enter. Chastising his sister for her idiocy (again) and getting her to cough up some clothes that could fit Deva's frame. Before, finally, going down to the kitchen to get some food and Deva. He ate his on the go, as he still had a few crew members to track down. Eventually though, he made his way back to his cabin.
He knocked first, to announce his presence, then turned the doorknob and stepped inside. He closed the door behind him and locked it. "I brought you some dinner, and hopefully something in here will fit." He set the plate on the table. It wasn't anything fancy, but you couldn't expect anything fancy on ships. Then, he set the pile of shirts, pants, and dresses that had been slung over one arm onto the back of a chair.

Deva laughed as he suggested it might well be the plan. "Then I guess I'll see you back here shortly." She said with a bit of a smile, although she couldn't help but be curious if he really planned to rush it all. No doubt his crew wouldn't appreciate being taken off course only to be rushed along for time that he'd lost them in the first place. No, it had to be handled better than that, which would take time. It was a shame but they had plenty of time to share after. She figured the crew would probably understand that much. It would make sense at least a few had either a lover or a family they had to do without for extended periods of time.
He said she shouldn'g make too big of a mess. She smiled slightly, as he'd never seen her apartment yet. Well, he might have glimpsed it at their first meeting but a glimpse hardly showed how organised, clean and meticulous she tended to be in her own house. Making messes was not quite her nature. Still she grinned and nodded. "I'll keep it tidy." She promised him before he stepped out the door. After the door closed she bit her lip and looked around. So much to explore, yet so little time. She bit her lip and smiled, going through the room to look around first.
As she did she couldn't help but tidy things up. She put things in drawers that seemed to belong there, dusted off surfaces that were slowly getting dusty, making the bed and many other tiny details, humming to herself as she did so. After everything was explored (and inevitably organised and tidied up) she went to pick a book. The selection was rather big but she ended up going for an old tome on wizardry in seafaring and magical port hubs. It seemed appropriate.
She wasn't sure how long she'd been caught up in the book, curled up in a chair and softly humming to herself as she flipped page after page with a happy and serene smile. The knock on the door dragged her back to reality and she smiled in pure joy as Bjorn stepped in with food and clothes. She got up and made her way to him, having forgotten just how hungry she was before smelling the food. She squaled slightly in delight before ignoring the food and clothes in order to kiss Bjorn again. After she pulled away she looked at the food and the clothes, before looking at Bjorn. "Should I get dressed for dinner or am I dressed enough as is?" She asked, twirling as if to show off his now oversized shirt. She didn't care much either way, as she felt comfortable around him without clothes. Still, she wasn't opposed to looking nice for him, although she wasn't sure how well that would go if she dressed like his sister.

It took Bjorn a few moments upon entering to realize what was different about the cabin. He's expected things to be moved or out of place. He hadn't expected them to be "tidied". It wasn't a huge difference. The bed was suddenly made, things straightened. Everything still seemed to be relatively in it's right place though, so at least se hadn't reorganized while going on her cleaning spree. Though it made him smirk, holding back a chuckle. While he wouldn't consider himself a messy person, he was also very comfortable in chaos. Clearly they were very different in that aspect. There was still so much to learn about this woman, and he couldn't help but feel excited. Had he ever looked forward to getting to know someone? He couldn't recall...
He'd only just set everything down when she kissed him. Immediately he caught her around the waist, kissing her back and holding her close, though reluctantly letting her escape when she pulled away. He smiled at her little twirl. "Clothes are optional when we're in private." He answered. No doubt there would be time for her to dress up later, or make modifications to the clothing. For now, he just wanted to enjoy the evening with the woman before the work started tomorrow.
