AH SEVENTH YEAR. TIME WAS simply coming to an end and with October rolling by, classes as well as Bryelle's attention span proved it all. Most classes lately had the Goyle dozing off, making questionable choices this late into her Hogwarts time, but she knew she most definitely didn't want to turn out like her best friend Lily. No matter how much she loved Lily, Bryelle refused to fail the year so bad she'd need to retake. Not a chance.
Regardless though, Charms was one of the few classes in which the Goyle paid attention to, answering the questions her professor Jasper had and even fooling around when needed. She tapped her pencil softly against her workspace today, irritated by the silence of the room as each person tried to draw up solutions to difficult charms. A soft groan shortly left the brunette's lips, especially when another student began to complain at how the task was...difficult to understand. "What's difficult about it? Identify what Charm you'd use if you were in that situation. Easy." She finally spat out before sitting back in her seat. Merlin...This was going to be an irritating day.
@jasper & hopefully this works!

Starting at Hogwarts at the beginning of the year. Charms was something that he had always excelled, and was a good class for him to settle into. As time passed, he had found it easier and easier to adjust to his newfound career. He had many students, some seemed to excel and others seemed to struggle with paying attention. He tried to have his classes filled with practice and if possible situations where the students would use the charm in the real world. As a former curse breaker, he found that he used charms often. The NEWT level charms class was one that he took quite seriously. It was his job to prepare his students for their future career. He had pinpointed some students that seemed to struggle with paying attention or staying awake. He did his best, but it was up to the individual students to try. He was more than happy to help them out, but it beyond asking if they need help, it was, again, up to them to seek or even accept his help.
Bryelle Goyle was one that he saw having a bright future. She engaged and worked hard in his class. Today wasn't a practicing day. He had set forth a hypothetical situation and had written it out on the board. The solution was one in which you were required to use a charm or charms to solve it. This was something that he came across many times while working before becoming a professor. It was also something that he felt like recent graduates struggled with. He heard the silent mumblings from students about how difficult it was. He had given a chance for the students to solve it, and heard Ms. Goyle's response. "This may be difficult on paper, but your NEWT exams and graduation, you will rarely be given the time to ponder such a situation. Many careers that require Charms require fast reflexes." He stated to the class. Something like that could be the difference between life or death. "Ms. Goyle, would you care to share your findings with the class?" He said, looking directly at his student.

WHILE BRYELLE VOWED TO HERSELF to do better for her final year, she hated being potentially viewed as a teacher's pet. Biting her tongue for speaking up against her stupid class partner, Bryelle's eyes snapped closed as she tried to compose herself, letting out a quiet sigh as she looked up at her Charms teacher: Jasper. He was a cool teacher, who seemed to replace Miss Ji-Yu fairly quickly - not that Bryelle was complaining. Plus he was nicer to her than all the other teachers were ever.
"Well..." She began, looking down at her fingers and avoiding the gaze of her peers who expected her to know the answer. "Wouldn't you say it depends on the scenario?..." Any charm could be used in truthfulness, but it depended on the type of scenario the stupid person at hand would've gotten themselves into. "If I were stuck in a room for instances...Then I'd use Alohomora...As simple as it sounds...Professor."

Jasper couldn't help but smile as the student worked through his question. It was true, you didn't just need to know something, but you also had to know where and when to use it. Sometimes, there were different solutions to the same problem. "Very good Ms. Goyle" He looked around at the class, some were making notes, others seemed to have let their mind wonder. "Can you name a real world reason why you would need to use the drought charm?" He continued their conversation. This was a charm that they had mentioned, but they hadn't covered it yet. He was sure that they had learned part of it last year, but if not, this was the perfect time to bring it up again. He would also be sure to make a lesson for it as well.

AT THE PRAISE, BRYELLE FOUND herself smiling small. She glanced down at her notes once more, slightly twiddling the quill in her fingers, glad her easy yet hard work was starting to pay off. In classes, people finally looked up to her and that was all she could've asked for. Yet what Bryelle wasn't expecting was the Professor to continue their conversation.
A drought charm...Bryelle was sure they hadn't been taught it yet, in this current year anyway but with a quick thought, the brief mention of it came back to the surface. "Spillages Professor?...Or to dry up a small amount of water - or any liquid potentially?"

Spending eleven years as a professional curse breaker, Jasper had the pleasure of teaching many recent graduates. Once out of wizarding school, there were not more textbooks, or exams. If you needed a spell, you needed it right away, no waiting. It wasn't enough to know the spell, but you had to know when it was appropriate to use it. While he was proud that she had a good example, it was a first year charm. It was simple. His question was more of a sixth and seventh year charm.
It took her a moment, but she finally answered. He chuckled at her first response "Spillages" But nodded as she continued. "Very good." Noting the time, he turned to the rest of his class, raising his voice as to address the room "Please fill a parchment of spells and their real world uses, due next class period. Class is dismissed." Hearing the shuffling's of the students as they quickly gathered their belongings.
