According to her mother, Fred and Georges store had become a very special place for the Weasley family. It had become a place of nostalgia, of love and of happiness. It became kind of a Weasley family tradition to spend time in the store every once in a while. Today, Ginny needed the sort of pick me up that only Weasley's Wizard Wheezes could provide, even if she didn't have any recent memories of the place.
She walked into the shop and just let it all soak in for a moment. This was a place of good memories, the few that she had there. It was the one store that stood tall and bright during the worst year of her life. Her sixth year at Hogwarts. And, according to her mind now, the most recent year of her life. The world was falling apart but one thing remained, this store. Ginny felt herself getting a little teary eyed and quickly distracted herself by getting lost in the shelves, laughing at new things that had been added since she was last in the shop.

so he needed something to prank his mates with. kind of a tradition that they all had, someone usually did something every month or so. it had started in their first year and well now they were in their seventh. the only trouble was casey needed to keep his within the school rules now he was head boy and that wasn't going to be easy. he stood looking at the shelves for a moment, thinking about going to ask george himself for some advice, the master or pranks. he ran his hand through his hair as he left his spot and walked down one of the aisles.
he rounded a corner and stopped. ginny? well that was a surprise. well not really but he hadn't seen her since before christmas when he'd spent some of the last holidays with james at the potter house. he'd been spending time there for years, since him and james had become friends and that was so long ago now he couldn't remember a time when james hadn't been there. he rubbed the back of his neck and wondered if he should go up and say hi. she wouldn't remember him, would that be weird? he found himself walking over to her before his mind had even made up his mind and he let his usual grin slip onto his face as he walked up to ginny. "mrs potter? hi .. it's casey, casey finnigan?" he said, probably sounding like an idiot but how did you introduce yourself to someone you had known all your life but they didn't know who you were. it was a new one for him.

Ginny turned as she heard a voice beside her and her jaw dropped looking into the boys face. So different, but such strong features relating to Seamus. As his last name slipped through her mind, Ginny closed her mouth and smiled sheepishly. "Casey, was it? I'm sorry, I'm sure that this is very awkward for you," she laughed, a bit of a juvenile thing to do at this moment but hey, Ginny was a seventeen year old in her mind. "It's nice to meet you. I'm sorry, can you remind me who your mother is?" now that she thought about it, she had no idea who had married who and the thought really freaked her out. She tried not to show this on her face as she conversed with the boy though.
The idea of talking to Seamus's son was incredibly strange, but the idea that he probably had known her his entire life was even stranger. She felt guilty, that she knew nothing about this teenager standing before her. She felt seventeen, thought like a seventeen year old, and she probably could have dated him if they were in school together. But no, she was an old woman. Happily married though, which had been an interesting experience so far... poor Harry.

"casey, was it? i'm sorry, i'm sure that this is very awkward for you," casey let the smile slip onto his face as he shook his head and casually shrugged one shoulder. there wasn't a reason for it to fee awkward for him. he'd known this woman all his life, the person that it would be awkward for was her. she had no idea who he was or that he had been mooching from her dinner table from the time he'd been old enough to talk. "yeah it's casey" he said with the smile still on his face. he'd have to tell james he'd run into his mother, he could at least tell him that she was alive and seemed to be doing okay being out and about and all.
"it's nice to meet you. 'm sorry, can you remind me who your mother is?" he nodded and folded his arms loosely over his chest sohe could get comfortable while they had this conversation. "lavender brown is my mother, who'd have thought right?" casey said with a grin. his mother and father were an odd pair, two people that didn't look like they would belong together on paper but they were happier than most married couples casey had seen, though he might be a little bias considering they were his parents. "did you enjoy the quidditch game?" he'd seen her in the stands while they had been playing slytherin. it was nice she'd come to watch her kids play the game. he knew james had felt better with her there, he wasn't sure about albus though.

That smile. It looked familiar, be wasn't quite his father's. The suspense was killing the sixteen year old girl in her, the one who was all she could remember right now. As he gave the name of his mother Ginny literally let her jaw drop. "My gosh, she's okay?" She said, obviously forgetting that lavender must have been okay for years now. She turned her head a moment, embarrassed, before looking back at him. "Sorry, last I heard she wasn't doing well. Did she... I mean... Nevermind," it was weird enough that lavender married Seamus, but it wasn't really Ginny's business to ask how the werewolf bite affected her.
At the mention of the Quidditch game, Ginny grinned. "Very much! It was a bit surreal though. Felt like I was watching myself. Not too mention my children being on different teams. Odd sensation," having children. "I felt it may have been stranger for them than for me. Sorry, did you play?"

"yeah she's okay." he said. he understood. from what he'd heard from her family ginny didn't remember anything past her teenage years, so he got the fact that she'd still picture his mother as a teenager. probably just after the final battle at hogwarts. "she's good. i mean she gets cranky around a full moon and eats her steak rarer than dad does but other than that she's good. my sister and i learned pretty quick to bug dad on those days" he said with a grin spreading onto his face again. he wondered if he should suggest ginny go and see his mom? or if he should write a letter to his mom asking her to see ginny. that would be butting in though wouldn't it? and he wasn't sure if they had gotten along well in school or not. his mother didn't like to talk about hogwarts after what had happened and his father, while open about his own adventures at hogwarts had kept a pretty tight lip on what had happened to his mom. not that it bugged him of course. but he was curious.
"yeah i can imagine that would be odd. you'd have to cheer for every goal" he said with a slight grin. they had been beaten in that game. it wasn't the end of the world but he didn't take loosing to slytherin well. he'd rather loose to huffleuff or ravenclaw. "nah i know james was thrilled you were there. albus too i'm sure. it was a shame about his arm though" he said. he meant it. him and albus might not see eye to eye all the time but he'd never wish anyone getting hurt. "yeah i was one of the chasers."

Ginny was grateful that Casey understood her lack of knowledge and gave a decently detailed answer. So, Lavender wasn’t a full wolf, which was a relief. ”Your dad must be grateful to have you,” she said with a small smile. Seamus with a child. Incredibly weird. Casey even had his fathers smile, it was almost unnerving. She shuddered but covered it by folding her arms over her chest.
Ginny laughed at his comment about the Quidditch game. ”I don’t know... I mostly just sat there, dumbstruck,” she said with a slight laugh. So, he was one of the chasers, that’s what she thought. ”Ah! Well, I was a chaser for a long time, that’s great. As for Albus...” it was strange to feel the jolt in her stomach as her child was injured. She stayed behind to watch the game while Harry went with Albus. She wasn’t sure how she was supposed to handle that situation, so Harry took care of it. She felt bad afterward, that she hadn’t done something more motherly. ”It’s part of the game,” she finally added with a bit of a sad smile.
”Were your parents at the game?”

"Most, yes. But I'm usually the one standing up and yelling at the ref," she smiled too, feeling a little more at ease in this conversation. Her smile turned back into a slightly confused one at the mention of Jay. She felt horrible that she couldn't put a name to a face... But then am idea hit her. "I have an idea. Instead of me sitting here feeling awful that I don't know anything about my friends and their kids, maybe we should go get some good and you can catch me up. On me, cause I'm an adult with money and all that rubbish,"^ which removes her.. If she never did get her memory back maybe she should go back to the job she apparently had...
"Awe, well I'm sure your parents are proud either way," and he had a sister. Right. At the mention of Dom Ginny nodded, "Yes! My niece!" she was happy that she knew at least one name. She gestured toward the store exit then.

he laughed when she said that she was usually the one standing up and yelling at the ref. "sounds a lot like my father when he watches quidditch" he said with a grin. he'd confused her when he mentioned jay. maybe he shouldn't have added that part in. he saw the look on her face and almost chewed his lip and was about to apologise when she suggested they go get something to eat. he nodded a little, thinking of just the place to take her. "how about the leaky cauldron? mr and mrs longbottom will have photo's of their family and i can show you jay and their other kids. they have some hanging up of their friends families too behind the counter i think. i know there was one of my parents there.. unless they've been taken down i can show you." he said, hoping it would be okay to show them to ginny.
"actually i think they were more proud the day i got the letter telling me i was head boy this year. well proud and really shocked." he said with a grin. he had been surprised too. he wasn't what a lot of people would have picked to be head of the student body but he'd done his job and he liked to think he did it well. he hoped anyway. "yeah. she's good too. if you ask her she's better than .. harry was" he'd almost said mr potter but he'd changed his mind at the last second so ginny knew she meant harry and not his father, who had been a great seeker too. he wasn't all that sure where her memory with that was.

Ginny laughed, "Seamus really was rather wild in the stands. I'm sure he hasn't changed a bit," that idea pleased her, that some things hadn't changed. Even if it was just Seamus's reaction to Quidditch plays. At the suggestion of going to the Leaky Cauldron, Ginny bit her lip for a moment. She had seen Hannah, briefly, and had been invited to come over whenever she was ready to discuss things. The idea of learning things from an adult woman who apparently knew her really well now... that just seemed strange to Ginny at the moment. But the idea of someone her age, sort of, you know what I mean, made Ginny feel much more comfortable.
She nodded, "that sounds perfect," she said, completely genuine, as they began to leave the joke shop and head toward the leaky.
At the mention of being Head Boy, Ginny chuckled, raising an eyebrow at the boy. "Woooow, a Finnigan as Head Boy? The world really has gone mad," she joked. For a brief moment she felt deja vu sweeping through her... had she said that to this boy before? Ooh, then he claimed that Dom was a better seeker than Harry. "Believable, but probably not better than me," he joked, tossing in a lighthearted wink as they arrived at the pub.
"Please," she gestured for him to go in ahead of her. She hadn't seen the Leaky since her accident. She hoped it was still the same, at least to some extent.

casey laughed along with ginny when she said that his dad got wild in the stands. he really hadn't changed. he cheered like made when someone got a goal and he was the first to jump on the ref when a bad call was mad or something had been done that shouldn't have. he ran his hand through his hair as she thought about going to the leaky cauldron. he thought it might help some. it was a familiar place to him and to her so maybe that would be a good place to start. he nodded a bit when she agreed to go and with his trademark charming grin he held out his elbow to her. "allow me?" he said, asking her to take his arm so he could lead her there.
"you know my dad said the same thing? he thought it was james pulling a joke. made sure to send an owl to neville to make sure it was true!" casey said with a smile. he'd loved being head boy the last few months. it felt good to be part of the school and have a title and to know that a lot of the students thought he was pretty good at the job he had been given and he loved helping the younger students. there was just something about it that made him love it. "i don't know, she's pretty good actually. i think she may just rival you all. even james. but don't tell him i said that" he said with a grin. he'd watched dom fly and she was quick, probably because there was nothing to her. he shook his head and opened the door for her, gesturing for her to go infront instead. "my mother would murder me if she found out" he said with a smile, leaning his head against the wood of the door while waiting for her to go inside so he could follow.

Ginny gladly took the boys arm, both surprised and pleased that Seamus had raised such a good kid. She couldn't help but laugh as he mentioned his parents thinking that the Head Boy thin was a joke, orchestrated by her son, no less. "So, James is a bit of a troublemaker then? No Surprise there," she said. It really wasn't a surprise! It actually made Ginny smile, thinking that her son had taken after her in the regard of playing pranks, especially elaborate ones. She was never as bad as her brothers but... she had done her fair share. She wondered if Lily or Albus did anything like that, or anything else like she did. So, this Dom was rather talented? Ginny nodded, "only watching the games will tell," she said. As they arrived, she released his arm as he pulled away to open the door. She stepped in ahead of him, "wait, why would your mother kill you?' she asked, but not before pausing to get a look at the pub.
It was the same, but maybe a little brighter. More organized, more... full of life. It was always such a busy place but now it seemed even more homey. It was as if a lovely breeze was sweeping through it all times. Then she realized what the leading cause of that was when she saw her new-old-new friend Hannah behind the bar, smiling like an angel while taking care of her guests. Ginny smiled. What a feeling to grow up and know what you were doing with your life. Must have been nice.

he grinned a little and nodded slightly. how could the potter kids not be trouble makers when they were related to the crazy bunch that was the weasleys. he himself had traits of his father, he was more powerful when it came to magic that involved fire and when he'd first started out with spells and magic he'd had the same ability to blow almost anything up. "he is. albus and lily are too. guess it must be something they get from the wealeys" casey said with a grin as they walked down the path.
"i've seen the pratice sessions." casey said with a grin. everyone on the teams were talented but there were a select few that were going places with the game after school. he wasn't. he was heading to saint mungo's to become an emergency healer. he grinned as she stopped and asked why his mother would kill him. he shrugged and glanced to the door. "if i walked in front of a building before a woman and didn't hold the door open for her" he said with a grin. he had manners, he used them most of the time but there were some times when he slipped. in the presence of girls and women though? they were always on point. he stopped at some photo's on the wall. "here's hannah and neville's family .. phil, alice and jayden." he grinned a little. "phil is just like neville. alice is really quiet most of the time and jayden? well you have to meet jayden in order to understand" he said with a grin. "my little sister has had a crush on jayden since before she could talk" casey said with a grin, he wasn't sure how many people knew that about his sister but he sure did. it was hard not to notice. "here's one of my family with neville and hannah .. this is my sister saoirse"

Lily was unsurprisingly pleased that her children were a bit hotheaded. She was sure it was a pain as a mother, but even with her memories she was sure that she'd be proud of it. As they approached the pictures, Ginny listened with careful intent and tried to study the faces. Neville. Hannah. Seamus. Lavender... all of these familiar yet unfamiliar faces smiling at her, waving at her from the pictures. Her eyes fell on the one called Philip. That blonde hair wasn't Neville's but that lopsided little grin... he looked just like him. She bit her lip as Casey pointed his little sister out. She looked so like Lavender. "And what about you? Who do you have a crush on?" she asked with a little chuckle before her eyes settled on the picture again.
Ginny shook her head, crossing her arms over her chest. "Wow... this is so surreal. Is there... is my family up there?" she asked, glancing around for girls with matching red hair and three boys with messy chalkboard black atop their heads. She found it, and took a step over to it, looking upon it. "Tell me... tell me about Lily. If you know her, I guess," she muttered.
