Dear Fred, Meditation hmm? Maybe I'll try to ask around and see what kinds of things I can do. I'd like some help with that, definitely. I don't really know how to deal with stress, so let's hope that works.
I believe I should be able to, I don't see why not.
Sincerely,
Elias Greyback @fred

dear elias,
Yes, meditation. I have no idea who in Hogwarts would know anything about it, but one of the ladies who works at the next shop over is always telling me that I should meditate to help balance out my negative energy.
When you know for sure, let me know. sincerely, fred @jill6

Dear Fred, Well I'll try to make it to see her... Not sure when that might happen, but I could also owl her. Maybe I'll ask around, there should be someone here among all these students that know about meditation somewhere.
I'll definitely let you know. How is life going for you? Work keeping you busy?
Sincerely,
Elias Greyback @fred

dear elias,
Just tell her I sent you and she'll probably send you about a hundred pamphlets, since I never take any of them. You'd be surprised how narrow people's world views are, sometimes. A lot of people replace their passions with magical ones because it helps them integrate into the community or something. It's weird.
Life is okay. I've kind of not been talking with most of my friends, but it is what it is. Work's also okay. I wish I could say more on that front, but proprietary secrets and stuff - letting anyone know anything could be dangerous. sincerely, fred @jill6

Dear Fred, I shall do that. I'm sure the pamphlets will be exceptionally helpful, especially since I've never heard of meditation before or what exactly it entails. Here's to hoping it helps out with the stress of everything, and I'll let you know if it works!
No worries, I understand having to keep things to yourself, especially about work. But I am glad that it is going well, I couldn't imagine if I had a job that I'd want to be there if I wasn't enjoying myself. Are you not talking to your friends just because you've been so busy, or has an issue occurred? If you don't mind me asking, of course. Speak soon.
Sincerely,
Elias Greyback @fred

dear elias,
From what I've been able to tell, meditation just involves sitting still (which I'm not good at), being quiet (which I'm not good at), and breathing (which I'm okay at, thank goodness). I snagged a pamphlet from the lady next door, so I attached it with this letter.
Something happened. I'm not sure anyone really cares, but I'd rather not talk about it. It just...kind of sucks, because I thought these people were my friends, but they don't seem to care. But yeah, I'm fine. Or I will be. Hope your day is good. sincerely, fred @jill6

Dear Fred, This pamphlet does give quite a bit of information. Thankfully I am okay at all of those things, but they wouldn't be my first choice of doing. That's okay though, I've tried a few things mentioned in the pamphlet. Some of them work, but then again, they were making me antsy.
I'm sorry you don't think your friends care...I hope they show you different. Whatever happened, if you need to talk about it, I'm here...and if not, I'm still here. But if it means anything, I care.
Sincerely,
Elias Greyback @fred

dear elias,
I think the point is kind of to make you antsy, so you learn how to calm yourself down even if you don't want to be calm. Does that make sense? Sorry, normally I gesture when I talk, and that makes things make more sense, or at least more sense than they do on paper.
It's kind of hard, because one of my best friends is my cousin, and I thought...Well, never mind. Like I said, I'll be fine. Thanks for caring, Elias. It really does make a difference. sincerely, fred @jill6

Dear Fred, Oh that makes complete sense, no worries. Well hopefully if I continue to practice, I'll be able to get it down. It could even possibly help with the tasks I've got to figure out; I'll need all the help I can get with those.
Don't feel pressured to tell me, Fred. I don't want you to feel uncomfortable. Only speak of it if need be, or if you need advice. I try to be there for those I care about, and I want you to feel cared for and important. I hope once you get this letter you're feeling a bit better.
Sincerely,
Elias Greyback @fred

dear elias,
I'm glad that it's an option to help you. Speaking of the tasks...have you heard anything about those? I don't know whether or not you're allowed to tell people about them or whatever, but if you've heard a riddle or something, I've been told that I don't think like a normal person, so, I don't know, I could give you another perspective or something?
I'm not sure if you can give advice on me being unwilling to compromise. That's just me, being a flawed person, you know. I kind of wish I wasn't. But oh well. Things happen. sincerely, fred @jill6

Dear Fred, No, unfortunately we have not heard anything yet. I hope we do soon, I'm getting more nervous by the minute. Thankfully, however, my advisor is a good one and I'm glad to have him. Samuil Delov, the last champion of the tournament. He's also teaching at Hogwarts this year, but I did have him as a Professor myself back at Durmstrang a few years ago.
I'm a strong believer in thinking that advice can be given for anything. Things do happen, you're right. Although, everyone is flawed. No one is perfect. But it is what makes you, you, and you shouldn't be doubtful about that.
Sincerely,
Elias Greyback @fred

dear elias,
Forgive me for saying so, but I think that's a huge conflict of interest in like ten different ways, and it's not very fair, either. I mean, I want you to do well, but Anna is my cousin, and it doesn't seem fair that you get a Champion as an adviser. Besides, how do you know he's not going to help Hogwarts win? He does teach there now.
I would have thought that people who I've known literally since birth would be more forgiving of my flaws, but I guess they see it as me not forgiving theirs. Which, to be fair, I'm not - but some things are unforgivable, you know? sincerely, fred @jill6

Dear Fred, Well I don't have him just because he is a prior champion. All of the advisors are from each of the three schools; the Hogwarts advisor is the Gryffindor Head of House, and the Beauxbatons advisor went to Beauxbatons, as Professor Delov went to Durmstrang. And I think him helping Hogwarts win would be cheating...I'm not saying he's going to help me cheat, but he has been through this before so he may be able to give me good techniques.
I hope someday soon that they forgive you, but don't let it ruin your day.
Sincerely,
Elias Greyback @fred

dear elias,
Obviously he's not going to try to cheat, but sometimes our subconscious biases are stronger than our conscious thoughts. That's kind of what I'm arguing with my friends about. It's a tenuous connection between the two subjects, but... yeah.
Nothing ever ruins my day, I'm Fred Weasley! I just joke around until I can ignore the badness. sincerely, fred @jill6

Dear Fred, I see what you're saying. Fortunately for me, Professor Delov isn't like that; he's very strict in what he does and doesn't let his faith waver, nor his judgement. I'm just hoping I can get through these tasks well with his help, and that nothing bad happens. Many things could go wrong, that's what I'm most worried for.
Sometimes the bad is good, but it depends on how much 'badness' a person can withhold. I'm glad your jokes keep you sane, and I hope you're feeling better.
Sincerely,
Elias Greyback @fred
