dear elias,
I read in the paper that you were made the Champion for Durmstang. I just wanted to offer you my congratulations - you seem to have extremely good luck when it comes to being picked randomly. I'm referring to the drawing that sent you the free joke items as well as the Goblet. Sadly, since my cousin is competing for Hogwarts, I won't be able to give you my unconditional support, but, again, congratulations. sincerely, fred weasley

Dear Fred,Thank you for your recognition. It does seem like good luck, doesn't it? Hopefully that luck will be with me while I go through the tasks of the tournament. By the way, the joke items were very useful and I enjoyed them! I wish the best for Anna, she seems to be quite the competitor.
Maybe I will see you soon, routing her on. Hope your week is well.
Sincerely,
Elias Greyback @fred

dear elias,
I wouldn't know good luck if it bludgeoned me in the head, I'm afraid. I've had mediocre, even poor, luck for most of my life. I'm not as close with Anna as I am some of my other cousins, but she's a Weasley, so of course she's a good competitor.
I don't know if my work schedule will allow me to attend any of the events. A lot of my aunts and uncles are involved with the process, though, so who knows. Maybe I'll be around. sincerely, fred

Dear Fred,I do hope in the future you do get some good luck in life. And I'm sure this tournament will bring you closer, she'll need all the help she can get.
If not, that is alright as well. We could owl, I'd be okay with that. But then again, it would be nice to see you. However I'm not sure how your family would feel with you fraternizing with the enemy. Talk soon!
Sincerely,
Elias Greyback @fred

dear elias,
I hope so, too. Things are starting to look up a little bit - can't say much, business confidentiality and all that - but I hope that success in business translates to success in my personal life somewhere along the way. If anything, I think that the Tournament might be the worst time to get to know Anna. She'll have a lot of people vying for her attention, and I don't have that much to say that someone else can't tell her. My only asset is comedic timing, and somehow I don't think a dragon will hesitate to set you on fire because you pause dramatically before a punchline.
Eh, my family can say whatever they want. I wouldn't say I'm the black sheep, but they've got a horde of other cousins to worry about. They won't care if one defects, especially for such a good reason. Hope to hear from you soon. sincerely, fred

Dear Fred,That makes complete sense. I hope the tournament is all in good fun; I know some people are extremely competitive but I also think this will be a great time. It also gives students a great reason to get to know each other.
And I'm glad! I don't want you to have any possible issues because of me. May I ask what the good reason is?
Sincerely,
Elias Greyback @fred

dear elias,
Sadly, I don’t think that people can ever let something that has the word ‘Tournament’, ‘Cup’, or ‘Competition’ be in the title. Everyone wants to prove something, and it can be hard to let go of that just because you want to have fun. Besides, I’d hope you didn’t sign up for a death-defying competition just for the fun of it. That just doesn’t sound very smart.
You’re the good reason, silly. Anyways, like I said, I don’t think anyone will care. Maybe your sister has already convinced my cousin to root for you instead of Anna – you never know! sincerely, fred @jill6

Dear Fred,No, I didn't sign up for it just for the fun. It's a plus to it all, but I've got my own things I want and need to prove. Not only to others, but to myself as well. I've got some things I need to work through and I'm hoping this helps me to do so.
I will give her the benefit of the doubt, but I'm not sure she'd rather her root for I. However, I am glad I am a good reason for you! Talk soon, Fred.
Sincerely,
Elias Greyback @fred

dear elias,
The day we stop having chips on our shoulders is the day we stop living, eh? I'm sure there's nothing you could want to prove to yourself that I couldn't tell you already. Trust me, it's not as bad as you think it is. I would know, because I was literally named after a dead dude, and chips don't get much bigger than that.
What's up with that? You don't think your sister's rooting for you? sincerely, fred @jill6

Dear Fred, It depends on the person. No one's life can really be worse than someone else's; I say this because you don't know what it is they're dealing with or what their "worst" is.
And we've had a big argument and as of late she's pretty much told me I can't be apart of the Greyback family.
Sincerely,
Elias Greyback @fred

dear elias,
Eh, there are some lives that are, objectively, worse than others. I mean, my uncle was orphaned before he could talk and kind of, you know, had to defeat the Dark Lord when he was a teenager. I'm not always the happiest with my life, but no way in hell I can say that it's as bad as that.
No offense, but is that really that bad? I mean, your dad did kind of murder a ton of people. He attacked my uncle once (different uncle than I mentioned before, obviously). Not that that's your fault or anything, but some distance from that might not necessarily be a bad thing. sincerely, fred @jill6

Dear Fred, Yes I see that circumstance, but if someone, like myself, says I have a few things to work through for myself and you don't know what those things are, you can't decipher that you or someone else's life is worse than mine.
And we have the same father, Fred. All of us do. That's extremely hypocritical and of no reason to have only me stay away and not the rest of us.
Sincerely,
Elias Greyback @fred

dear elias,
No one ever said that their life was worse than yours. Take a deep breath - not everything in life has to be all doom and gloom. I work in a joke shop, remember? This isn't exactly my forte.
I'm aware of how the concept of parentage works, Elias. I'm saying that it's a personal choice whether or not you want to distance yourself from that name, and you can make that choice. You know, it's always easier to do something you don't want to do if you pretend you want to do it, if that makes any sense.
Try to put a smile on that pretty face of yours, alright? sincerely, fred @jill6

Dear Fred, I know. I've got a lot my plate right now with the tournament, my siblings, my cousin... It's just a lot. I suppose breathing is a good thing.
And I have separated myself; but my cousin threatened her and she said if I don't get rid of my cousin I can't get to know my siblings. It's just not okay.
I'll try, but seeing your face might make me smile more.
Sincerely,
Elias Greyback @fred

dear elias,
Maybe you should meditate or something. I hear that's supposed to be good for stress. As for people threatening people...I probably wouldn't be too keen on being around people who threatened me, or their friends, so I can't really say anything about that. I haven't really talked to any of my friends lately, so I guess I'm not that much good on that front.
Are they letting you out of school for the November Hogsmeade trip? sincerely, fred @jill6
