Ella smiled as she leaned her head against Cyrus’ shoulder; she’d always thought she was the perfect height for him since they fit so perfectly together. She closed her eyes briefly as he told her he wanted to remember this moment as they crossed the Westminster Bridge together, her arm sliding across his back. The bridge was a beautiful structure with an even more breathtaking view of the city, especially at night. She paused with him as they got to the middle of the bridge and she wrapped her other arm around his waist so her hands linked together. “This view never gets old," she sighed happily, squeezing lightly as she gazed out towards Big Ben and Westminster Palace. “You know, sometimes I think about moving outside of London, to the countryside where I could have a bigger place and a garden. But then I look at views like this and I realize that this is home. This is where I’m supposed to be. I’m a city girl Cy, I don’t know if I could be a full time country girl,” she admitted, tilting her head up to look at him.

Cyrus felt Ella lean her head on his shoulder, and he felt a soaring feeling in his chest. He had almost forgotten just how good it felt to have her this close to him. As she spoke, Cyrus's hand found hers and he gave it a gentle squeeze. "Me neither," he replied softly. Cyrus couldn't help the chuckle that escaped his lips when Eleanor talked about the country. "I'll admit, the idea of you in the country is a funny one," he said, smiling down at her. He could picture it, though. However, Cy was also a city-man himself. Perhaps that was why the two of them worked together so well.
"Hey," Cy said suddenly, turning his whole body to face Eleanor. "We could always just visit the countryside!" He said enthusiastically. "Think of how beautiful the French countryside could be in the spring," he mused, his grin wide with wonder.

Eleanor tilted her head up to make a face at Cyrus when he said how funny the idea of her in the country was. She supposed though it was; every time she tried to picture herself keeping house with a bunch of children running around she started laughing. If they were Cyrus’ and her children though, that idea she could absolutely get behind. “Only if there was a big stone manor involved, then I’d consider it,” she said teasingly.
She let her other arm wrap around Cyrus’ waist as he turned towards her, raising her eyebrows at his idea. “French countryside in the spring….wine and castles and the beginning of lavender season,” she mused, a dreamy look on her face. She smiled and stood on her tiptoes to kiss him. “I love the idea,” she declared in agreement.

Cyrus chuckled at Eleanor's exception. "I wouldn't expect anything less for Eleanor Percival," he squeezed her closer affectionately. Every time Cyrus and Eleanor kissed, it was like they were doing it for the first time. Cy always felt that rush of butterflies in his stomach, the adrenaline that she gave him made him feel euphoric. And if that feeling could come back after not being together for years, well, Cyrus felt it probably never would go away. And that was absolutely okay with him. "Well then," Cyrus began. "We may need to start planning a trip..."

Ella shrugged modestly; if she was going to be in the countryside away from the excitement and bustle of the city, then she better have something worth her while out there. Of course, Cyrus was more than enough for her, but it was still fun to fantasize. “To be fair Cy, you’re a city boy too; I’m sure it’d take a lot to convince you to live solely in the countryside,” she reasoned, adjusting her head slightly so she was looking up at him. She raised a brow when he said they should start planning a trip. “Right now?” she asked, feeling her pulse pick up a little. It was a Friday, so it wasn’t as though Ella had to go to work the next two days, but she was pretty sure she might have seen a practice for the Arrows scheduled when she snuck a look at her coworkers calendar. Perhaps she was wrong; the idea of a impromptu getaway just the two of them was the ideal dream for Eleanor at that moment.

Cyrus chuckled when Eleanor pointed out that he would likely be the same; not be willing to go out and live in the country. She knew him well. "That's probably true," he said, he said shrugging one shoulder and nodding before looking down at her and giving her another squeeze. "Though, I'd leave the city at the drop of a hat if it meant making you happy." Cyrus would do anything, absolutely anything for Eleanor to be happy. Even giving up the city, something he (and luckily Eleanor, too,) loved so very much. "But, I guess I'm lucky you love the city too much to leave it." He joked with a wink.
Cyrus shrugged when Eleanor asked if he meant 'right now.' "Well, in the near future," he said with a smile. He did have his last few practices before the holiday in the next week but planning couldn't hurt. "We should get coffee together. Talk about our Paris must-do's," he shrugged nonchalantly. It was no secret the two of them loved the city, but it was pretty known the two shared a large, mutual love for the city of love. And spending a holiday there with Ella would be like a dream.

Eleanor smiled and felt her heart skip a beat when Cyrus said he'd move to the country if it meant making her happy. She was perfectly content to stay in the city but to know Cyrus would give up something like this for her? She didn't think she could ever express how she felt about it. "And I'd do the same for you, but thankfully we don't have to worry about that," she said, reaching up on her tiptoes to kiss his cheek.
Ella's smile grew wider as Cyrus mentioned discussing Paris. The City of Light and Romance had been a dream destination for the two of them since they were in school. Ella had been attracted of course to the Champs Elyssee, and practicing her French at a little cafe while eating crepes and drinking an espresso. Later the dream had expanded to kissing Cyrus at the top of the Eiffel Tower as it lit up, but sadly their breakup happened before they could make that dream a reality. Now that they were back together though, that dream could finally be realized. "Coffee sounds good," she said, turning towards him with a devilish smirk on her lips. She reached up and gently straightened out his jacket. "We can always have coffee tomorrow morning at my flat," she said, her tone innocent but her intention far from it. Though Ella didn't care what happened that night; even just falling asleep in Cyrus' arms would be more than enough for her tonight.

Cyrus could feel his cheek warm when Eleanor planted a kiss upon it. He couldn't believe how lucky he was to have ever found someone like Ella, someone who loved all the things same things he did, and someone who loved him, too. "Well, thank Merlin for that," he grinned at the brunette next to him. This was the girl who had his heart. The same girl who had had it when he met her on the train when they were eleven, the same girl who had continued to keep a hold of it for four years apart, and the girl who would probably have it for the rest of his life.
Seeing the smile on Eleanor's face when Cyrus mentioned planning a trip to Paris made his heart skip a beat. The two had always wanted to visit the city of love together since they were young; it had always held a special place in their hearts and visiting the city with Eleanor would be a dream come true for them both. Cyrus's smile turned into a small smirk at Ella's suggestion. "That sounds delightful," he agreed, giving Ella one more little affection squeeze.

Eleanor couldn’t say she was totally surprised Cyrus agreed to come home with her, but she was still happy he had said yes. She squeezed his hand lightly. “Come on, we’re in walking distance,” she said, gently tugging his hand so he’d walk alongside her in the moonlight. This felt right, walking hand in hand with Cyrus as they made their way back to her flat. She shared it with another girl who worked in the Ministry, but thankfully she was visiting her family in Ireland that week; they’d have the place to themselves. Really, her roommate couldn’t have had better timing.
Soon they were walking up the steps. Ella’s hand was trembling nervously as she pushed the key into the keyhole and opened the door. She wasn’t entirely sure why she was nervous; it wasn’t as if this was new territory for her and Cyrus. Well, bringing him back to her apartment was new, but not the other thing. “So...this is my flat. My roommate is in Ireland so she won’t be back until next week,” she said quickly, placing her keys on the key rack and shrugging her coat off. “Coat closet,” she said as she hung their coats in the closet. Taking his hand again, she walked him down the hall to their living room kitchen combination. “So this is the living room, and this is the kitchen over here. It’s nice for entertaining and parties to have the open layout. The loo is through this door-” She pushed open the door to reveal the standard bathroom. “That’s my roommates bedroom and...well, this one is mine,” she finished, pointing over to the door that was slightly ajar. She was very thankful she had decided to clean her room earlier that day. She looked up at Cyrus, unsure how to proceed. “Do you want some wine?” she asked him.

Cyrus was more than delighted to make the small walk to Eleanor's flat. He found himself excited, not just by the prospect of what may come but by the idea of having a look inside Ella's world. What had she decorated her flat like? Did she have any pictures of she and her now ex-boyfriend? Did she have any pictures of she and Cyrus!? Cy was beyond curious to find out what her flat looked like. One could always tell a lot about a person by getting a glimpse into their home.
Cyrus watched intently as Eleanor turned the key in the keyhole and opened the door. He smiled to himself as they stepped inside. He looked around, taking it all in, and thought that this was exactly what he pictured Eleanor Percival's flat looking like. He turned to Eleanor when she said she had a roommate, taking his coat off as he listened. So, her roommate was away? Well, that was convenient. Cyrus followed Ella down the hall until they entered the living room and kitchen. It was... not weird being in Ella's apartment. It almost actually felt like home, because this was hers. Her life was here, and honestly, wherever she was was home to Cyrus.
As Ella gave him a mini tour, Cyrus found himself growing increasingly more comfortable. Just over there, he saw, was Ella's room. He wanted to see it, and not for the reason one would think. After all these years, how would her room be decorated? What pieces of her life had those walls seen? He looked back up at her and smiled when she offered him some wine. "Please," he nodded gratefully before continuing. "So, you have a roommate? What's she like?"

Eleanor began to feel more and more at ease the longer he was in her apartment. Sure part of her was still nervous for what may or may not happen, but this was Cyrus, whom she had been in love with since she was thirteen years old. He made it easier to relax. She crossed into the kitchen and grabbed a bottle of white wine and two glasses. She filled them and handed one to him with a smile. “Cheers,” she said, clinking her glass with his before taking a sip. She swallowed before responding to his roommate question. “She’s great, she works at the Ministry with me but in a different department. She’s Irish and Muggleborn, so we get along very well. Her name’s Talullah,” she told him.
With a small smile, she crossed over to the living room and sat on the couch. “With us both being Muggleborns, we both agreed we wanted a telly in the house,” she told him, nodding at the flatscreen above the fireplace. “Do you want to watch a movie? She has a pretty extensive collection,” she suggested, a bit shyly. She didn’t want to demand he whisk her into the bedroom, so she felt a movie was a good place to start. She liked watching films anyway; it relaxed her.

Cyrus watched Eleanor admirably as she grabbed a bottle of wine and two glasses, smiling when she handed one to him. He tilted his head up when they toasted, smiling. He sipped his wine as Eleanor talked about her roommate. "Oh, that must be nice for commuting?" He chuckled. Cyrus had never had a roommate; after graduating, he went straight into the professional league and while he wasn't away at games, he would stay with his parents in London. And when he had enough money, he considered buying a flat but just stuck to renting out nice rooms in different cities whenever he had a tournament there.
Cyrus followed Eleanor over to the couch and sat down next to her. He was fairly close, perhaps only an inch or two of space between them because, come on, this was Eleanor. He smiled at her comment about the television set. Cyrus didn't have one growing up, but he did now in his own flat. Though, he hardly ever used it. He thought maybe he would more if Eleanor lived with him... but it was much too soon to think of that. He put his free arm around her at the suggestion of a movie. "That sounds lovely," he said. "Pick your absolute favorite of the collection." He wanted to catch up with Eleanor as much as possible.

Eleanor giggled at Cyrus' quip about commuting. Both Tallulah and she usually Apparated together to a small alley behind the ministry; neither girl were high enough up yet to have a Floo Network connected to their fireplace. "It helps when one of us doesn't want to get up in the morning, that's for sure," she told him with a grin. Ella had been somewhat of a morning person all her life, but Tallulah definitely had difficulty getting up some mornings.
Ella walked over to the shelf of films with her glass of wine and contemplated the choices in front of her. Tallulah had quite the collection, and finally she made a decision and pulled one off the shelf. "Roman Holiday, with Audrey Hepburn," she said, looking at him and hoping her choice was okay with him. She popped in the movie and settled on the couch next to Cyrus. "I hope you like it; it's one of my favorites," she said, tucking her legs up underneath her as his arm went around her shoulders. She hit play and the movie began.
As the familiar opening scenes started, she remembered when she'd first watched this movie with her mother, and how she'd imagined herself if she had been a princess. She liked the idea of a busy schedule, but could understand Audrey's need for freedom. She glanced over at Cyrus, then almost as if on instinct she nestled her head on the crook between his neck and shoulder. A small smile crepped onto her face as she took a sip of wine, and she sighed happily. She felt much more relaxed with his arm around her, much more at home than she ever had with Nate.

Cyrus chuckled at Eleanor. He took a moment to picture how cute she would be hating waking up in the morning. "I'm not a morning person either," he smiled at her. He watched as Ella walked over to the shelf of movies, taking a sip of his wine. He let his mind wander to where the night may go, but decided he didn't care where it went. As long as he was with Eleanor, it could go wherever it wanted to go. "Well, I'm sure if you like it, I will too. You've always had good taste." He flashed a grin and a wink at her.
The movie started and Cyrus, again, couldn't help the smile on his face. Anything Eleanor loved, he knew he would too. He couldn't wait to see her face watching one of her favorite movies. Cyrus then felt Eleanor nestle her head up against him and all at once everything felt right in the world. He let his arm fall down over her shoulder as he took a sip of wine himself. Nothing could make him happier at this moment.

A smile had come across her face; it was like they were sixteen again on her parents’ couch in the living room. Though they would have been drinking water or a juice of some variety instead of wine. Her parents would be in the other room as well, ensuring Cyrus didn’t try anything tricky on their daughter. She was immensely glad not only did she not live at home anymore, but that her roommate was gone for the week too. There wouldn’t be any sort of awkward introductions; before Tallulah had left, Ella had mentioned her dinner with Cyrus, and her Irish roommate had gotten this smug, knowing look on her face. She fully expected an ‘I told you so’ from her upon her return. As the movie continued, Ella found herself getting distracted by the devilishly handsome man currently sitting next to her on the couch. Finally, about halfway through, Ella decided to be bold. After all this wasn’t the first time they’d shared alone time together; they just hadn’t in about four years. She lifted the wine glass from his hand and got up off the couch. Ever the neat freak, she rinsed the glasses before putting them in the dishwasher. She padded back over to Cyrus and pulled him up on the couch. “I think it’s time you saw my bedroom,” she said, almost shy with the suggestion she boldly hinted at. @cyrus bow chicka wow wow
