Sitting on Eleanor's couch like this brought back so many memories for Cyrus. It reminded him of when they were sixteen on summer holidays when he would go and visit Ella at her parents' house. It had become so routine back then to be supervised whenever they sat together on the couch for a movie but here they were now, alone, and Cyrus couldn't help but wonder where this night was going to go. Though, Cyrus would be happy just sitting beside her on the couch any time, any day.
The movie was a good distraction from Cyrus's loud thoughts. He kept thinking about how this was the first time they had spent any sort of real alone time together in four years. And though it had been so long, it almost felt as if it hadn't been. Cyrus was certain, as he slowly turned his head to meet the eyes of the beautiful brunette beside him, that she was the one for him. Cyrus caught happily off guard when Eleanor lifted the wine glass from Cy's hand and went to rinse the glasses out. Cyrus grinned to himself as she did, finding the act quite adorable. Cyrus had not taken his eyes off of her, even as she walked back over to him. When she pulled him up, Cyrus happily obliged and got to his feet. Though, at Eleanor's suggestion, he almost thought his knees would buckle. But, the ever so cool and calm Cyrus kept it together as a smile spread across his lips. "I'd love to, Ella," he replied softly, taking a step toward her and closing the gap between them until he was close enough that he barely had to move his head in order to plant his lips against hers.

It was all so easy, like a puzzle piece finally finding its rightful place in the big picture. With Nate, there had always been something off, out of sync in their relationship. Sure Eleanor knew Nate had loved her, or at least the idea of her, but she knew deep down she had never loved him. Not like Cyrus. There was never anyone but Cyrus Ellsworth for her, and tonight he had confirmed that he felt the same way. They just fit together so perfectly that if someone on the outside looked in on how they felt towards each other, they would probably gag. But lying there afterwards in Cyrus' arms, Ella felt right at home, as though the last four years had just melted away. She sighed contentedly, her head reading in the crook of his neck as she always used to before they'd fall asleep in each others arms. It hadn't taken long for them to fall back into sync with each other, and tonight only gave Ella even more of a sign that Cyrus was her one and only. Ella lifted her head for just a moment to look at the man she loved, and smiled softly. "I love you," she whispered, leaning forward to brush her lips with his before settling down into that cozy crook and closing her eyes, ready to have one of the best nights sleep she had ever had in a long time. END THREAD I LOVE THEM BYE <3 <3 <3
