Will dropped his jaw in faux indignation as she spoke about second hand embarrassment. He closed his moth as she went on and nodded, "awe, sibling rivalry. I can understand that. What position does he play? And also," he leaned in slightly, lowering his voice, "I think Hufflepuff beat Gryffindor the season we played at the same time," actually he was positive of it. Which means they probably played Chaser opposite one another... he leaned back again, "I'm trying to figure out if you're the girl who elbowed me in the nose that game."
They continued dancing right up to the next song started, as she agreed, and then she spoke about being fine and how he'd have to be the one to catch her if she did indeed fall. "That's what I'm afraid of," he started, "I've got," he pretending to stumble, "weak arms." That was incredibly, incredibly untrue. It wasn't necessarily obvious in this outfit, but his arms were actually the strongest part of his body. So, that was an outright tall tale he was telling.

Jamie hid a giggle in her shoulder when Will pretended to look offended at her assertion that Hufflepuff was going to beat Gryffindor. “He’s a Beater.” Jamie answered. “His sort-of girlfriend who’s basically my sister is a Chaser, too. But mostly I want to beat the Beater.” She said with a laugh. Jamie cocked her head when Will said that Hufflepuff beat Gryffindor in the season they had played together. She didn’t have any particular memories of that season, but she was going to believe what Will said about it. “If I am, I apologize. I was young and naïve.” Jamie said with a smirk. “I’ve since learned better. Elbowing in the mouth is much more effective.” She gave Will an impish smile at the end of her sentence, not even caring how it sounded. It was true.
The Hufflepuff shook her head when Will said that he was afraid of her dropping. Jamie really hoped Will was kidding about having weak arms, because black was eating at the edges of her vision, and she only had about a half second to look vaguely alarmed before the entire world went black.

William chuckled as Jamie spoke about 'beating the beater', as in her brother. The sister sort of girlfriend thing was confusing, though, but he decided not to dig into that just yet. He wanted to know more about Jamie, first, and he could learn about her family details later. Still, the competitive nature she had against her brother was amusing and spoke of her character. She spoke about elbowing in the mouth being more effective and he let his jaw drop, "oh dear. I'll have to wear a mouth guard if we ever play against each other again... granted, I'm incredibly out of practice," he admitted.
Then, kind of poetically, he had a split second to realize that she was in fact about to pass out. "Jam-" he stopped, wrapping his arm tighter around her waist and moving his other hand to swoop under her knees so he could lift her off the ground. He went straight into action, finding the nearest nurse to accompany them to the hospital wing...
