Brandon smiled back at Rosie's smirk. "I didn't plan this, if that's what you're thinking," he told her honestly. Then he thought for a moment, "but I did tell the house elves I was going on a date with you ... so if you really like cooking as much as you say you do and if they know how much you like pasta ..." he trailed off, smiling slyly at him. He smiled when she pulled out the drinks and announced that it was pumpkin juice. "That's definitely a safe choice," he agreed, nodding when she said that everything went together pretty well. "It does," Brandon agreed when she said that the food smelled good. "Let's eat." He gave her the food first, taking his after she had hers. He liked eating on the ship, not that he got to do it very often. Still, it was soothing and relaxing. "So Rosie," he started, wanting to talk about something. "Are you looking forward to graduating?" It was a general enough question, but Brandon didn't know the answer, so he figured he might as well ask. rose harriet granger-weasley

"I believe you." She admitted with a smile, putting her hands up slightly in an, I'm innocent way. "The house elves know me well." she admitted with a soft smile. She took some food and they began to eat. It was great food, as the house elves food always was, and she was very much enjoying the company. He was handsome and the light reflecting off of the lake only added to the entire experience. Rosie felt herself a little flustered but in a good way, she couldn't wait to tell her roommates all about the date later that night. He asked her if she was looking forward to graduation and she shrugged. "It's complicated, I guess. I'm going to miss this place, and there's a lot more to figure out that I ever expected. Like, should I move back to Dublin with my parents or find a flat somewhere in London? And I have to find a paper willing to take me on and let me write sports." she explained. She realized maybe it was a little too real for first date dinner conversation. "Are you looking forward to it?" she knew that he was planning on perusing music and she hoped the very for him.

Brandon laughed at her "innocent" gesture. "I knew it!" he said triumphantly when she admitted that the house elves knew her. So it was because they liked her that the two were having spaghetti. He didn't mind. Brandon loved spaghetti and the fact that Rosie liked it too made the fact that they were eating it just that much better. He dished himself up after she took her own food and then ate. Oh, he loved food from Hogwarts. Sure, Durmstrang had good food, but not all of it was food he grew up with and Brandon enjoyed his traditional meals, spaghetti being one of them. He listened carefully as she gave her answer. She started to explain that there were so many choices to make. Whether to stay in London or go to Dublin, where she would be able to find a paper that would let her write about sports. He impulsively wanted to tell her that if she stayed in London, he would too ... but he held himself back. That wasn't something he should say yet. They were on their first date! Maybe later. "I can understand that. Hogwarts is amazing, but choosing what to do afterwards is difficult." She rounded the question on him and Brandon smiled. "I'm doing music. I'm not sure where exactly I'll end up, but I'll probably start in London because I have a few contacts here that I want to try out." He shrugged, "but nothing's set in stone so we'll have to see what happens."

Rosie gave an innocent shrug. She didn't mind that the house elves had played a little in her favor. They probably got excited and wanted to make it perfect, she wondered if they ever got bored, but that thought was probably too weird to share on their first date. "Do you think you'll miss Drumstrang when you graduate?" she asked him, he had told her all about Durmstrang and his plans to go to London for music when they met in the coffee shop a little bit back. She didn't want to question is loyalties to his school, but she couldn't imagine any place being harder to say goodbye to than Hogwarts. "London is nice." Rosie said, she was glad to know that if she chose to move to London, she would at least have a friend nearby. "Like I said, you're amazing, and, you have to get famous so you can take me to parties." she teased again and then took a bite of her spaghetti after twirling it on her fork. "And I have to take you to muggle sporting events." she smirked.

Brandon thought for a moment at her question about Durmstrang. Would he miss it? It was different, a change which he'd enjoyed even though he struggled through it. Still, out of the two places, Hogwarts was his home and he missed it more. He smiled, "Yeah, I'll miss it a little," he admitted, "But not as much as I'm going to miss this place. Even being here as a Durmstrang student, I've spent six years here and one year there. Hogwarts is more important to me. Are you going to miss it here? Or are you excited to move on?" Brandon knew plenty of students that couldn't wait to be real adults and move on with their lives, but he had a feeling Rosie wasn't one of them. Now was the time for him to find out. He nodded when she said that London was nice, but then she continued on by saying that he was going to get famous so he could take her to parties. Brandon laughed, grinning at her. "That's close," he told her, twirling his spaghetti as he spoke, "Except I think I'm going to get famous and have parties so I can have an excuse to keep you around." He didn't know if he was being too forward or if he'd scare her off, but he couldn't help it. They'd been on this date for half an hour and he already knew that he wanted another one. He wanted to spend more and more time with Rosie Williams. Most of his time, if she would let him. He popped the spaghetti in his mouth as she spoke again and then nodded vigorously, his mouth too full for him to speak. "Yes. I want to see your sports," he agreed once he could talk again. "Whichever ones you want to show me." He continued to eat, loving the way he felt so calm with her. rose harriet granger-weasley

Rosie hadn't doubted that she would have a good time, but she had to admit that she was having an even better time than she ever expected for a first date, she had expected to be awkward and nervous and while they had been a little at the beginning, she felt comfortable now and it seemed like he did also. While she didn't want to think about anything other than what they were doing right now, she wondered if he was going to ask her on another date, a real date, not something into the future when they were both successful and famous like they were joking about. "I'm definitely going to miss Hogwarts." she admitted. "A lot. It's where everything happened, where I met my best friends." except for Thalia whom she had known as a child. "But I'm excited for the future once I figure out the details." she added. He told her he was going to get famous and have parties so that he'd have a reason to keep her around and she laughed, but then said, "You don't need to bribe me to keep me around." she wondered if that was too much? She very much liked being around him and wouldn't need an excuse like a party to stay nearby. She didn't always want an excuse either, just being nearby and close to him would be enough to make her happy. "They're kind of boring," she warned. "Because no one uses magic and I feel like the games would be so much more interesting with a magical twist." she supposed that was why they created Quidditch. She wondered if there were any wizards on muggle sports teams. Perhaps that would be a good article to write.

Brandon nodded and smiled, not at all surprised when Rosie said that she was going to miss Hogwarts. He was going to and he hadn't even spent all seven years here! Of course she would miss the castle. He nodded. "Yeah, that makes sense," he agreed as she talked about how it's where she met her friends and everything happened. How could he argue with that? It was thanks to Hogwarts that he and Rosie became friends. Then she started to talk about the future and he smiled as he listened to her. "Yes, I think that's about right. Once the future is something we're doing instead of something we have to figure out still, we'll like it more and be more excited about it." At least, that was how Brandon felt. Right now there was still the stress about finding someone who liked his music enough to help him get famous, or not. He wouldn't really be able to enjoy being an adult until he was successful in that. It was probably the same with Rosie and becoming a sports writer. He laughed when Rosie said he didn't have to bribe her to keep her around. "Then what do I have to do?" Brandon asked, winking at her. A part of him wanted to know what would keep her around, but the other part was teasing. He was curious to see how she'd respond to the question though. He shrugged when she said that the games were boring because there was no magic in them. "I think it will be fun to have you explain them to me," he answered honestly. It was a lot less cheesy than saying it would be fun as long as he was with her and Brandon was proud of himself for that fact. He finished off his spaghetti and grabbed an apple from the bag, taking a bite out of it as he watched her, a smile on his face. rose harriet granger-weasley

Rosie smiled when he asked what he would have to do to keep her around. It was fairly simple. She wanted to stay around him, he didn't have to do anything to impress her, she was already impressed by their dinner on a ship and him overall. He was such a good person and she was glad to know him. However, of course she couldn't say all of that right now, it would be way too soon. "If you want me to stay around, Brandon, all you have to do is ask." she promised sweetly and bit her lip a little. Rosie pushed her finished plate aside and took another drink of her pumpkin juice. She looked forward to showing him, and she looked forward to him being able to show her more of his music, however, she didn't want to get too caught up int he future on their fist date. "So what's our first stop on the tour?" she asked. "This is the deck, I assume." she teased.

Brandon waited curiously to see what Rosie would say to his question. He watched her, glad that she was still smiling. She was, at least, still enjoying her first date and he was glad. At her answer, his smile widened. "Hey Rosie?" he started immediately, "Once we graduate, will you stick around?" A part of him was teasing, but a larger part was serious. He wanted her around and he wanted her to know that's what he wanted as well. She was done eating and Brandon took his last bite as well. She started to ask about the tour and he grinned, rising to his feet. He moved over to her and pulled her chair out for her. "Yes, this is the deck," he answered gently. "We're at the front of the ship, I'll show you the end later. Let's go below deck while everyone else is still at dinner." That was part of the reason he planned their date at this time. Mealtimes were when the ship was the emptiest and Brandon didn't want to run into certain people- like Adonia and Viola, for completely different reasons. Adonia because of what she'd done to Rosie and Viola because, while he was planning on introducing Rosie to his closest friend in Durmstrang, he wanted this date to be about them. He took her hand and led her below the deck. "We're not going into any of these rooms because these are the living quarters," he told Rosie with a smile. Pulling her to the end of the row, he opened the last door. "This is where we do all our studying," he said, releasing her hand so she could walk around if she wanted to. rose harriet granger-weasley

As soon as she told him he only had to ask, he asked. She couldn't help but laugh, "Depends on how things go tonight." she teased him back with a playful shrug, however, she knew well enough there was no place that she'd rather be. She had never felt so comfortable and so happy with anyone. And while her stomach was still full of butterflies, she was beginning to like the feeling, it was odd and new and was a continuous reminder that she was on a date, her first date, their first date. And it was special. He began to show her around the ship, taking her below deck and explaining that everyone else was still at dinner. She liked that idea, there were of course certain people whom she didn't wish to run into, but also they didn't have to worry about it being crowded or getting interrupted by anyone else. He pointed out the living quarters but said they would not be going inside, a part of her wanted to see them, but of course she respected the privacy boundary. He then took her to the study and let go of her hand. It was very cool and very much larger than it looked from the outside. She was slowly falling in love with the idea of living on a ship, it was exotic and different and fun. "It's very cool." she admitted, picking up a book set nearby, reading the title and then putting it back down. Rosie, of course, wasn't much of a study bug, but she did get all of her homework done, at least. "You spend a lot of time in here?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.

He laughed when she answered, saying that it depended on how things went tonight. Well that was all the more reason for Brandon to make sure they went right. He was surprised by how much he wanted to make sure that she enjoyed herself well enough to want to stay near him. "Sounds fair enough," he answered with a laugh. She seemed to be happy enough as he led her around and Brandon relaxed a little bit. Once they were in the study, she wandered around a little, looking at the things inside. She asked if he spent a lot of time in here and Brandon laughed. "No! I only am in here when I have to be in class," he told her honestly, moving so he was close enough that he could grab her hand again. "Come on, I'll show you where I spend most of my time," he pulled her out of the room and across the hall. "This is our relaxing room, or lounge," he told her, letting her hand go and flopping on a comfy couch. This room was full of couches and chairs and he was sure that she'd like it even more than the other one. "Want to join me," he asked with a smile, wiggling his eyebrows at her. rose harriet granger-weasley

Rosie wasn't all that surprised to hear that he didn't spend a lot of time in their study room, she didn't remember him being at the tip top of the class, but he had to be better than her, at least at some subjects. Considering he had decided to enter into the tournament, it was unlikely that he got a Troll on her Defense against the Dark Arts OWL like she had. He took her hand again and lead her across the corridor to another large room filled with couches and chairs. This room was rather cozy and reminded her a bit of the common room, except without all of the yellow and wooden badgers everywhere. He flopped himself down on one of the couches and offered for her to join him. "Of course," she agreed and sat down next to him, tucking her legs up with her, sitting close enough to him, but leaving a little bit of distance, just about a foot of distance, but less if they leaned in. She had thought about sitting a bit closer but it was still just their first date and she had never even been kissed so she figured she'd let him, who undoubtedly had more experience than her, make any moves. "This is nice." Rosie insisted looking around the room. "I can see why you would like it. It's cozier than I expected it to be, especially for a ship." she added and then turned to look at him, a smile and a bit of a blush on her face.

When they moved to the next room, Rosie seemed a little surprised or ... hesitant? He wasn't exactly sure what she was thinking, even though she sat down next to him when he asked her to. She kept a bit of distance between them and seemed somewhat rigid. Brandon wasn't sure if that meant she wasn't interested or if she was just nervous. He had to keep on reminding himself that this was Rosie's first date. She probably wasn't used to this sort of thing and he didn't want to scare her by moving too fast, even though this was basically new to him as well. He hadn't ever felt for anyone the way he was starting to feel for Rosie. She said that it was nice and that she could see why he liked the lounge area and he nodded in agreement. "Yeah, when they showed us the ship at the very beginning of the year, I was a bit skeptical, but I like it. Especially this room. He smiled at her, still considering and trying to figure out how she was feeling. He sat up a little bit, turning to face her a little more. "You alright Rosie? Or am I making you uncomfortable? We can go back up on deck if you want ..." he meant to just ask one question, but apparently he was a little bit more nervous than he thought. rose harriet granger-weasley

Rosie felt a little embarrassed when he had to ask if she was alright or if he was making her uncomfortable. She felt bad that he though he was making her uncomfortable. She shook her head right away and answered with red cheeks, "No, really I'm good. I guess I just... don't know what's appropriate or expected on the first date." she admitted. And then thinking it was because she had sat down too far away, she scooted herself closer to him, closing almost all of the gab between them with her knees touching his legs a little. "Is this okay?" she asked, honestly asking, but also feeling a little bold for her movement. The butterflies in her stomach doubled with how close the two were sitting and Rosie was sure that her cheeks were going to be red and hot for the rest of her life. "It is a surprisingly cozy room." she agreed.

Brandon watched as Rosie's cheeks tinged pink and knew that he embarrassed her. Oops. That definitely wasn't what he meant to do, but what was done was done. Then she said she didn't know what was expected on the first date and he smiled. "Rosie, there are no set rules for a first date. I just want you to be comfortable," hopefully that would help put her more at ease but Brandon wasn't quite sure if it would. She scooted so she was right next to him, asking if it was okay and Brandon smiled at her. "You are just fine," he told her with a smile. Then he hesitantly lifted his own arm and wrapped it around her shoulders. "Is this okay?" Brandon didn't think this was moving too fast for a first date, but what he thought didn't matter. What really mattered to him was what Rosie thought and felt. He smiled at her again when she said it was a cosy room. "It is. I like it, but I haven't really spent a lot of time in here," he confessed with a shrug. rose harriet granger-weasley
