She stuttered a little saying she would be down in a minute. Fin nodded, stepping out. He shut the door behind him and paused, resting the back of his head against it. He took in a deep breath. Okay, their relationship had taken a new step. These next few hours would be critical.
He saw Ben's door open and peaked inside, he wasn't there. He wasn't down the stairs either, but when Fin opened the door he saw a note. Ben was running errands this morning and suggested Finley take her sightseeing without saying goodbye, they could come back later on in their trip. Fin smiled, sure that Ben did this just to give them the place for the morning alone.
Fin started to cook, and has he did his mind wandered back to the night before. Flashes of memory invaded his thoughts, and before he knew it he was cooking way too much food for the two of them. He cursed under his breath, stepping back from the stove to look at the oatmeal, tea, eggs, toast and bacon cooking.

Fin didn’t say anything else before leaving. He simply nodded and walked out the door. Jess stared at the door for a few seconds before closing her eyes and leaning back against the pillow as memories of last night flashed in her mind. Things between her and Fin were definitely going to be different now, but she didn’t think it was a bad thing. In fact, Jess was actually excited to see what would come next.
She didn’t stay in bed much longer though. Jess got up and hurried to her bag, getting up and dressed, brushing her teeth and her hair, as well as taking a little more time on her makeup than normal. She just wanted to look nice.
When she left the room, the smell of Fin’s cooking hit her immediately and she smiled, making her way to the kitchen. Her eyes widened. Why was he making so much food? Maybe he was a little nervous too. Jess hesitated for just a second before making her way across the room and kissing him on the cheek. ”Hey you.” Jess said, not quite sure what to expect now. Normally she would tease him, but should she do that now? She didn’t know.

He didn't realize she had come in right away, but before he could turn to look at her she was kissing his cheek. He felt his face heat up and he turned to look at her. "Wow, you look beautiful," he commented, his voice really small and low in volume. He looked back at the food and raised an eyebrow, frowning. "I got a little carried away... nervous," he added, not sure where he was going with that explanation. He cleared his throat, reaching out to turn off the dials on the stove and turning to look at her. A small smile started to break out onto his face, "don't laugh at me," he suggested. But it was pretty funny... a guy like Fin, brave and a fighter, couldn't even handle the 'morning after' with his girlfriend and love of his life.

Jess smiled, even blushed a little, when Fin told her she looked beautiful. "Thanks," she answered back, glancing at the food when he did. Her smile automatically widened when he admitted that he got carried away with making the food, saying that he was nervous. It was so cute! "You're nervous too?" she blurted out before covering her mouth and chuckling at herself. Wow, what was wrong with the pair of them? He told her not to laugh at him and Jess nodded, biting her lip to keep herself from laughing nervously, but a chuckle still escaped her. She looked at all the food and smirked as she looked back to him. "So ... should we get started on this totally-normal mountain of food?" she teased. She had to. Teasing was just a part of who she was. Fin knew that, he'd be okay with it, probably.

She thanked him, and he noted the blush on her cheeks. He loved when they did that. She smiled widely at him admitting he was nervous, which just made it easier for him to relax. When she asked if he was nervous too, he smiled even more because that just meant that she was and they were on the same page. She covered her mouth and chuckled, and he raised his eyebrows at her in mock surprise. "I told you not to laugh at me!" he took a step toward her, trying for a pout but he was still smiling. She asked if they should get started on the 'mountain' of food and he shook his head. "In a second. One thing first," he suggested. He closed the gap between them quickly and wrapped both arms around her waist so he could lift her feet off the ground as he kissed her. He spun in a half circle too, setting her down gently once they were switched places.

Fin tried to be fierce (or was it stern) when Jess laughed. She wasn't really laughing at him, but even if she was she was confident that he was teasing her. They both felt awkward right now and they were just going to have to work through it together, but when Jess felt awkward she had a tendency to laugh. Maybe she should have warned him of that. "I'm not laughing at you," she argued, though technically she kind of was. He said he wanted to do something before they ate and Jess squealed softly when he wrapped his arms around her and kissed her. Jess kissed him back, heart pounding when he spun her in a circle and set her down. She smiled against his lips and pulled back just enough to be able to tease him. "Is that my punishment for laughing at you because if it is ..." she trailed off before kissing him again, unable to resist the temptation to.

She said she wasn't laughing 'at' him. After he had kissed her though, she asked if that was her punishment for laughing. He smiled too, and she kissed him again. He breathed into the kiss, holding her close until they broke apart again. ”I'll think of an actual punishment later. That was just me being selfish and not being able to resist,” he countered. He turned to look at the food, ”I'm hungry but... it's impossible to eat and kiss at the same time,” he sighed. He turned back to her to kiss her again, this time pulling her toward him until his back was to the fridge.
But, eventually, he did break it off again. ”The food's going to get cold,” not that it was that hard to reheat food.

Fin was smiling so much and Jess absolutely loved it. She loved knowing that he was smiling for her and because of her and she couldn't help but smile back at him, giggling when he told her that he'd think of a punishment later. "Oooh, that'll be interesting," she teased. She honestly couldn't imagine Fin doing anything to punish her. Jess glanced over at the food when he did, as he complained about not being able to kiss and eat simultaneously, but then he was kissing her again, obviously having made his choice between the two. Jess sighed against him, not even caring when she got to eat.
She quirked an eyebrow at him when he mentioned that the food was going to get cold. "We could eat and then ..." Jess kissed him lightly, smiling against his lips. She honestly wouldn't mind kissing for a while longer before they ate, but she could eat too. Both were good choices.

She said it would be interesting for him to punish her, to which he just smirked with mischevious mirth. He didn't say anything further on the topic, considering his lips were a little preoccupied. When he spoke about the cold food, she added that they could eat first and then continue their slight physical obsession with each other. "Okky, okay," he smiled against her lips then placed his hands on her shoulders to gently push her back. "Eating first. More you and me time. Then we go sightseeing and this time we'll take our things, we're going to stay in another town tonight," he explained.
He looked at her for a moment, his expression pained due to having to pull himself away. But he did anyway, and they were off to breakfast.

Jess let out a soft chuckle when Fin agreed that they should probably eat now, before the food got cold. He pushed her away and she rolled her eyes at him, teasing of course. She made her way to the table as he said that they would eat, have some personal time and then go sightseeing. Her eyebrows furrowed a little. "We won't be coming back here? I thought we were going to come back here all the time?" She wouldn't mind more privacy with him of course, but she hadn't realized she wouldn't see Ben today. She sat down, dishing herself some eggs, bacon and toast. It all looked good, but she wasn't quite sure how much of the food she'd be able to eat.
She took a bite of toast and looked over to Fin. "So what sights do you have planned for me today?" she asked curiously before eating some more of the food on her plate. She closed her eyes for a second. "Also, this is delicious Fin," Jess told him with a smile. She loved how he was such a good cook. Fin more than made up for her abysmal cooking skills.

"Yeah, I realized a cool sight you'd want to see, then a cool place to stay," did he really just say cool twice? That's what happened the morning after, apparently. He'd lost his ability to function like a normal adult. She complimented the food, asking what the sites were for the day. "If I tell you then where is the surprise? And don't worry, we'll come back and see Ben before we go home," he explained, just in case she was worried about that.
After they had eaten, he started o wash the dishes using magic. He usually did it by hand, but he wanted to get moving more quickly than that. As the dishes, soap and sponge were at work, he turned to Jess. "You can start packing, I'll be up in a sec."

Fin said he'd planned a cool site and a cool place to say and Jess couldn't help but smile. Was he still nervous to be around her today? If he was, she hoped it wouldn't last long. She wanted to have a good time with him. "Sounds cool," Jess teased, unable to help herself. Fin had to know she'd tease him. It was just the way Jess was. She laughed, "Fine, you keep your surprises then." Jess nodded to his comment about coming to see Ben again before they left for home. Good. She liked the old man and wanted to see him again before they left.
He started cleaning up, asking Jess to go and pack and she nodded. "Okay, got it!" She went up the stairs, waving her wand to put away their things. Honestly, they hadn't done a lot of unpacking, so it took less than a minute for her to get everything packed up. She sighed, moving to sit in a chair right next to the window. She smiled as she looked outside, closing her eyes and drifting into a light nap after just a few seconds.

She went up and he finished cleaning up downstairs. Once the dishes were cleaned he stood at the sink for a moment, planting his hands on either side of the tubs to steady himself. He couldn't believe the life he had now and how he had Jess... and how he could lose her so quickly. He didn't want that at all, but he also just wanted this trip to be about them and nothing else. He wanted to just be with her every second, but even now he had to catch his breath.
Soon they were all packed after some more kissing and whatnot and getting back in the charger. He left Ben a note, even though Ben already knew they were going to be leaving for the night, or the next two, and then they were driving.
They passed a lot of green, a lot, even in the winter time. But soon they were coming up on a mountain and he smirked, knowing what was around the corner.

Of course, Fin came up and woke her up, saying it was time to go. That didn't stop them from kissing for a while before grabbing their bags and heading to the car. Really, during all of this Jess felt like she was literally living in a dream. Thanks with Fin were so perfect. Being able to spend all this time with him was just what she wanted and she was happier than she could have imagined.
Before she knew it, he was driving and Jess was staring out the window. This place was so pretty. Even in the winter, there was lots of green on the side of the road, and Jess wasn't sure she could take it all in. "Fin, this is so pretty," she murmured as she stared out the window. He was being a bit quiet as they drove, but Jess didn't mind. She didn't feel the need to fil the silence anymore, which was nice.

She said it was pretty, seeming to be in awe. He nodded, unsurprised. He came from a beautiful place, even if his home itself wasn't beautiful. Out here was more his home than his house ever was. He didn't say anything in response to that, he didn't have to, but then as they turned the corner a castle rose into view in front of them.
The brick and stone was dark brown and deep red, ancient looking and gorgeous. It wasn't incredibly tall, more short and wide. Either way, it was a gorgeous site to see. He took in a deep breath, remembering the first time he had seen that place. He held his breath a little, the smile on his face shifting into a more serene and peaceful look. He had always loved this place.
