Rosie didn't seem to want to make any decisions and Brandon nodded, wrapping his arms around her when she stepped close and put her head against his chest. "Okay, we'll just apparate then," he answered. It was the fastest way to get there and he just wanted to help Rosie as soon as he could. He squeezed her before turning on his heel. The next he saw, they were standing in the lobby of St. Mungo's. He walked up to the front desk, hoping Rosie would come with him. "We need to see a healer as soon as possible," he said in an urgent voice. "My girlfriend ... had an incident with a vampire." The woman seemed a little surprised before telling them where to go. Once they reached the desk there, they were rushed into a small room and told a healer would be there to see them soon. Good. At least they shouldn't have to wait forever. rose harriet granger-weasley

Rosie stayed silent as he took her to the hospital and checked them in at the front. She filled out the papers they handed her but she didn’t say anything to the woman behind the desk, her blood smelled stronger than her perfume, and the mixture of the two was almost nauseating. Eventually they took her back and said that a healer would be in to see her in a moment. The tone of the woman's voice was full of pity and Rosie glared at her. She didn’t want their pity. She didn’t want anyone to feel sorry for her. She wanted to rip her throat out and she clenched her jaw, licking her teeth as she watched the door closed. “I hate it here.” she mumbled to Brandon once it was shut.

Brandon was definitely worried about Rosie. He wanted to help her, which was why he was encouraging this trip to St. Mungos, but he didn't want to make her upset. She was silent as he figured out where to take her and Brandon kept on glancing over at her. Sometimes she was looking around nervously, other times she looked angry. He smiled over at her, trying to be encouraging. Then they were put in a room, Rosie muttering to him as soon as the door was shut. "I'm sorry. I just thought they could help. We can leave it you-" he broke off, rolling his eyes when he heard the door opening behind her. He reached over to try and take her hand if she'd let him. He wanted Rosie to know that he was here for her. rose harriet granger-weasley @rory

Being on duty was not Rory's favorite thing to do. At least, not when he was in St. Mungos. He liked going out and helping people when they were in the middle of an emergency. He felt useful helping them, but sometimes when he was stuck here at the hospital he just felt useless. Anyone could help people that had a run in with some curse or potion or something. However, when he heard that there was a new patient who had a run-in with a vampire, Rory volunteered to help out with it. He moved to the room, knocking on it three times before slowly opening the door. "Hello," he said, smiling at the young couple as he walked in. The girl looked angry, maybe a little nervous too. He could tell instantly that she was the one who had the run-in. "Please have a seat," he gestured for her to sit. She could sit on the patient chair or beside her boyfriend. He sat down in a different chair, looking at her. "I'm Healer Williams. What are your names?" Yeah, starting with the little things was definitely a good idea. Then he could ask about the harder things. rose harriet granger-weasley @brandon

Brandon was suggesting that they could leave just as the healer came into the room. He seemed friendly enough, but he wasn’t really someone that Rosie wanted to talk to at the moment. He said that they could sit down and she sat next to Brandon, feeling like she might need the buffer. Every little thing was annoying her right now. She was so hyper aware of it all that it bugged her even more. He asked for their names and Rosie rolled her eyes. “You can’t check any of the paperwork they made me file?” Honestly what kind of healer didn’t know their patients name before walking in. But then she caught Brandon’s eye and sighed. “Sorry, I’m a little… irritated. I’m Rosie Williams.” She said, noting that they had the same last name. That was ironic.

The tension was almost rolling off of Rosie in waves and Brandon wished there was something he could do to help. Maybe coming here wasn't the best idea, but he didn't know what else to do. Rosie was a vampire. Okay, but she was new at it. She obviously didn't know how to control herself, since she bit him, and he assumed that healers would have advice or something to give her. Maybe Brandon was assuming too much, but he wanted to help her. He hated seeing Rosie this way, upset and angry. He opened his mouth when Healer Williams asked for their names, intending to answer, but Rosie snapped at him first. Brandon looked over at her in surprise and she apologized almost instantly, introducing herself. Brandon looked back to the healer, forcing a smile as he discreetly reached over to touch her hand. Maybe that would help. "I'm Brandon Fisher. Rosie's boyfriend," he explained. Brandon really wasn't sure if he would be allowed to stay, but he wanted to be here for Rosie. @rory rose harriet granger-weasley

Okay, so it definitely seemed like Rosie was not in the mood for small talk, which was fine with Rory. He always had to be ready to adjust to the mood of people he was helping, especially in a situation such as this. He didn't react when she snapped at him, just shrugged. The boy beside her seemed surprised, but she answered him soon enough, apologizing for being irritated. "No need to apologize," Rory told her patiently. The boy introduced himself as Rosie's boyfriend Brandon and Rory nodded. He turned his attention to Rosie. "Okay, I know you probably don't want to do this, but I need you to tell me what happened." He watched her patiently. He wanted to help her, but he needed to do more than physically help her. She might be traumatized by the circumstance and he wanted to know if he would need to help by getting her a therapist or something. Knowing what happened was important. rose harriet granger-weasley@brandon

Her doctor didn’t really seem to care that Rosie had snapped at him. She was sure he got that kind of behavior fairly regularly. That didn’t excuse it though. She needed to control herself. This was no excuse to be rude to anyone. This wasn’t Rosie. He asked what happened and Rosie shrugged. “Most of it I really couldn’t tell you.” She admitted. “Obviously I was attacked by a vampire while I was in Russia. But...I don’t remember it really. My memory tends to fail me when something traumatic happens.” She still couldn’t really remember specifics from her run in with Adonia the year before. “sorry. I know that’s probably not healthful.” she added. She wished she could offer more. But she really couldn’t. She didn’t remember more than being cornered in that alley and then waking up apparently days later in the alley again, dumped there with nothing.

The healer didn't seem to mind that Brandon was there, so he didn't get up or act like he was going to leave. He was fairly certain that Rosie wanted him here to support her. Besides that, he wanted to be here. He wanted to learn about this, to see if there was anything he could do to help his girlfriend. What Brandon didn't want was for her to feel like she had to go through this all on her own. That wouldn't be right at all. He listened as Rosie spoke, frowning when she said she couldn't remember, that she tended to not remember when traumatic things happened. Her incident with Adonia came back to his mind and Brandon's frown deepened. He wished he could have been there to help her. Maybe if she hadn't been alone this wouldn't have happened. When she was done speaking, he turned to look at the healer, curious about what he was going to say. rose harriet granger-weasley @rory

The boy was being pretty quiet in the corner, so Rory focused mainly on Rosie. She was his patient after all. He frowned when she told him that she couldn't tell him, but that she was attacked by a vampire when she was in Russia. It was strange that she didn't remember anything, though her explanation made sense. The thing was, most vampires didn't become vampires without being okay with it. "I'm sorry. I'm sure that was difficult," he answered quietly. He shook his head when she apologized, "You don't have anything to be sorry for."He hesitated a moment. "Have you ... fed since you woke up and realized what happened?" Rory was trying to be delicate, but he didn't want to go into explaining things if she was thirsty. She likely wouldn't be able to pay attention if that were the case. rose harriet granger-weasley@brandon

Brandon didn’t say anything but she wondered if they were thinking about the same thing: the accident that had brought them so close together again. The run in with his former classmate… and former fling. The knowledge that they had kissed crossed her mind again and Rosie felt a pang in her chest, probably amplified by the confusion and discomfort she was already feeling. The healer spoke, trying to be comforting, and it was kind of working. At least she was settling down now a little. “I’m. Kind of.” Rosie admitted. “not a lot. I had a momentary lapse of control with Brandon…” she explained. “it’s all I can think about…” she truly felt like a bloodthirsty beast. She was.

Rosie didn't seem to be about to attack the healer anymore and Brandon was happy about that. He nodded as the two of them started talking, though he froze for a second when the healer asked if Rosie fed. His neck tingled a little, but he just reached his hand over to hers, hoping Rosie wouldn't mind him trying to hold her hand. He wasn't a part of the conversation and he didn't need to be, he just wanted Rosie to know he was there for her. She admitted that she'd lost control a little with Brandon and he glanced over at her, nodding encouragingly. He felt bad when she admitted that it was all she could think about, wished there was something he could do to help her. But he couldn't. All he could do was sit there and listen. @rory rose harriet granger-weasley

Rory was definitely taken by surprise when Rosie admitted to a "lapse of control" with her boyfriend. His eyes widened ever so slightly and he glanced over at Brandon, who was looking at Rosie with concern in his eyes. Obviously the kid was fine and not ever worried about himself, which Rory thought was a bit admirable. Most people would have freaked out if their girlfriend bit them and drank some of their blood, but this kid didn't seem to care. Rory looked back to Rosie. "Give me just a minute then," he said, going right outside the door where a table had supplies for vampires on it. Rory picked up a glass with blood inside. It was plastic, had a lid and a straw and all of it was blue so no one could see inside. He didn't want to freak either of the two out. He came back in and offered the cup to Rosie. "Here. This should help, I think," he told her, smiling kindly. Obviously, she had to know what was in the glass, but he didn't say it out loud. He didn't want to make her upset or stressed in any way. rose harriet granger-weasley @brandon

Brandon reached out for her hand and she let him take it, but she didn’t feel very much more reassured. She knew he was there for her, but the look of surprise on the healers face when she said that she had lost control with him upset her a bit. She didn’t want to have to say that. Rosie never once in her life lost control. Unless she was slipping on ice… or falling down the stairs… or sliding off her broom… oh getting stung by creatures… or being bitten by plants in Herbology… or being bumped into by people who didn’t see her. Okay, bad example. She had never threatened anyone’s life before, but now she felt that power rushing through her veins. The healer stepped out and Rosie looked over to Brandon, mentally thanking him for being there. When the man came back he was carrying a cup and handed it to Rosie. She accepted it hesitantly but then peeled up as soon as she caught a whiff of it. She took a sip from the straw, getting so much satisfaction as the thick liquid slid down her throat. This she could get behind. “you’re a saint.” she insisted.

Brandon didn't like the look the healer gave him when Rosie admitted that she bit him. He was fine. He didn't come here with her so that the healers could pay more attention to him. Brandon wasn't the one that needed the help. He was- admittedly- relieved when Rosie let him take her hand. He didn't know if he was being any help to her or not, but he wanted to be sure that she knew he was here for her. Always. Brandon loved her and he'd stay here beside her until they were home. He smiled at her when she looked over at him, hoping that she was feeling a little more comfortable. He took his hand back when the healer came in with a cup for Rosie, smiling for her even though he felt a little sick once he realized what was in the cup. It wasn't her fault. She didn't choose this life, but having blood in a cup was kind of gross. Not that he'd ever tell her that. rose harriet granger-weasley@rory
