Alohomora 5k RaceHi friends! Ali mentioned that she's running 5ks now and Sora got inspired so we're holding our very own Alohomora 5k - a race to 5k words (yes - that's 5,000 words)!
This race will last for 2 weeks starting on Monday, March 16th 2020, and will end on Sunday March 29th 2020! There will be prizes involved and you can see those below. The point of this race is mostly just for fun and to encourage everyone to not only post, but complete a goal word count. This can be done in a multitude of ways: you can be like some, and post like 5 posts of 1,000 words each. Or you can be like others, and post many smaller threads. The point isn't how you get there, the point is to get there. So get going!
YOU have to keep track of your own word count! There will be a handy code that you can use to submit your total as often as you'd like, but please keep track of your own total. (A good way to do this is to write all posts in a Word or Google Document and then copy and paste them into the post box when you're ready to post them). The cut off to submit word count is Monday, March 30th 2020, so the day after the race ends. You can submit every day, every week, whenever, but just include your running total in every post.
As an extra challenge for people who want to push themselves, or who finish the 5k early, you may attempt to post 5k words per character, and each character who accomplishes this goal will receive an extra prize.

Prizes will consist of Special Early Access to some new shop items that the staff have been working on. There are a variety of new items, ranging from simple items to more complex items. If you finish as one of the first 3 people, you will receive a complex, rare, more expensive item. However, anyone who finishes will receive a simple item. And every character who reaches the 5k goal will also receive an item on a similar scale.
