FELIX CICERO TELLER
FELIX CICERO TELLER
Rhys’ reputation for an unbreakable relationship with whiskey was known and created during Curse Breaker training. It had been one of the few things to have never let him down. And it never made the judgmental or snide comments his friends felt the need to share with him regularly. Felix gave Rhys a look that he had seen before, usually from those that met Rhys now that he was older versus if they had met him at age eleven. Rhys half shrugged and nodded. ”Couldn’t be helped.” Rhys began, taking a casual sip of his whiskey. He was used to the flow of this part of a conversation, genuinely introducing himself to someone and then seeing the understanding in their eyes along with pity usually. The pity bothered him, but he had stopped worrying about the rest, he didn’t change his name for a reason, and it wasn’t to hide. ”I was small, scrawny, and everybody knew who my father was.” His growth spurt hadn’t really hit until about his fifth year when he’d gotten tall. But even now, his build was more due to his work.
The future was not a topic that Rhys liked to dwell on, and especially at that moment. It was full of only uncertainties and questions. The only sure things seemed to be a due date for his unborn child and knowing that a complicated conversation with his family would take place. It left him feeling uneasy though he suppressed the urge to order an entire bottle of whiskey to drink from. Maybe it was just habit or just who he was to look ahead and see nothing but possibilities for pain. Though on that note, even things in his past had been painful, and Divination class had been one of those things. Rhys had to chuckle a bit and nod. ”She certainly did not.” Rhys hadn’t managed to drop the course after his third year and opted for other electives, which were far more enjoyable than seeing the ‘future’. ”Muggle studies, which was far more interesting.” It had proved useful, or some basic facts at least on the job—while the rest he learned as he went. ”It was more useful in the end considering my current work.”
