10 January
A wisp of silver shot from the end of Harry Potter’s wand, forming into a stag. The mist-like apparition turned to Harry, awaiting instruction. ”Tell them it is time. To meet me at the Hounds and Harriers in Godric’s Hollow at four in the afternoon. Today.” The stag blinked at him before bounding off, splintering before vanishing from Harry’s sightline. He slumped down into an armchair, scrubbing his face tiredly as he considered what his message meant.
For months, Harry had been biding his time, carefully putting together pieces of the puzzle so as to not arouse suspicion. The vast majority of the wizarding world still believed him to be missing, presumed dead. As he worked out the finer details of his plan, Harry had wished to remain off the grid, completely off Elaine and the Purifiers’ radar. He had mostly succeeded, letting the world run its course as he watched from the sidelines for once. It had been exceedingly difficult, not to get involved as each and every plot unfolded.
Harry’s return to his family last January had been enough to power him through the tough times that had lain ahead. But with the death of his closest friend, the level-headed and obscenely brilliant Hermione Granger, Harry knew he couldn’t watch the evil fester any longer. And so his plans had to be put into action, quietly and discreetly.
Harry had reached out to two trusted colleagues of his - Claire Slater, an ambitious young auror that he had trained himself, and Cas Karkaroff. Harry almost considered Claire another daughter, though she certainly was cleverer than he. Cas had been loyal to Harry from the very start, though Harry had never held his family name against him. The three met in secret, feeding Harry the information he needed as he shared just the bare minimum.
Through Claire and Cas, Harry learned how the Order had splintered into factions. He monitored the progress of the factions, watching as one crumbled and the others seemed to grow somewhat stronger. But Harry didn’t fully understand the purpose of the split in the first place. He knew that those who called themselves the Heliopaths wanted to avenge his death, and those who called themselves the Ouroboros wanted to think through their tasks before acting. Harry had a feeling Hermione had been fond of the latter faction - though with a pang, he realised he would never know the truth behind that statement.
The sun sunk towards the horizon as the arranged time inched nearer. Harry idly wiped glasses behind the bar, checking the taps for his kegs before ejecting the remaining patrons from his pub. The decision to purchase the Hounds and Harriers in Godric’s Hollow had been among the easiest in his life. It served as a meeting place, but also a place to exchange knowledge and stories. And Harry for one, had enough of telling stories for a lifetime, and was keen to hear from others. The Hounds and Harriers was a neutral ground, with ample space and no unwanted visitors to overhear.
As half three rolled around, Parvati breezed through the doors of the pub easily. Harry breathed a greeting to his old friend. He was grateful that she had long ago forgiven his mistakes from his formative years. He offered her a drink, giving her a run down of what he planned to address to the Order - both Ouroboros and Heliopath. Parvati simply nodded, but said nothing as the others he had invited started to trickle into the pub. There were exclamations as the various Order members laid eyes upon him, and Harry couldn’t help the sheepish smile that crossed his lips. After all this time, he still wasn’t one for attention. Instead of speaking to anyone in particular, Harry commenced pouring pints.
Four in the afternoon came and went, and Harry looked up. The pub was properly crowded at this point - it appeared everyone had answered his summons. His stomach dropped near to his feet as he appraised all the eager faces turned to him. He desperately wished that Hermione was next to him, encouraging him as she had done all those years ago. But that was part of why he was here right at this moment.
Harry cleared his throat, and the room fell instantly silent. All eyes were upon him as he slid out from behind the bar, leaning against the highly polished wood as he joined the crowd. ”Er… hi everyone,” said Harry rather nervously. His eyes met his son’s, then his wife’s. Harry felt courage surge through him, strength lended to him from his loved ones.
”Thanks for coming. I appreciate it was short notice, but I wanted to put things into action immediately,” Harry started, his gaze resting on each and every face in the room. These people had answered his call when times had been desperate, they had all fought for the same thing. They wanted peace, and Harry knew that they could all get there. But it would have to be together.
”I’m sorry for disappearing. I’m sorry to each and every one of you, though I won’t be selfish and say I know you were all thinking of my well being every moment of every day,” said Harry with a chuckle. ”Witch hunters were on my tail, and with Elaine breathing down our necks, I thought it would be best to go off the map for a bit. But I never forgot about you, not any of you,” said Harry simply, by way of explanation.
”I know we’ve all had our differences. And we don’t always agree on the best way forward.” His gaze found Claire’s then Cas’s. Another surge of courage allowed Harry to continue. ”But now is the time to put aside those past grievances. I know you have all been working towards the same goal, but with different methods. But what is the real goal for Ouroboros? For Heliopath?” asked Harry, but in a tone that did not invite answers.
”We are stronger together than we are apart. It is our choices that define who we are, and the world we want to build around us. We are only as strong as we are united, as weak as we are divided. We are here today because we want to make a better life for ourselves, for our children, and our children’s children. We are here to fight, and to keep fighting. Because only then, will evil be kept at bay, though never quite defeated.”
“Together, we can strike back. Together, we can craft that ideal world where darkness is but a mere memory, a legend of old. Where death does not haunt our every moment, where loss isn’t constantly on our minds. Separate we are weak, but together… together, the Order of the Phoenix can rise from the ashes, and burn brighter than before.”

January 10, 2026 When Harry was cryptic… Merlin, was he cryptic, but Parvati had learned to live with that. She had been outside of the castle already, meeting with Cas to discuss Ouroboros business and the matter of the magic dampener, when they had received the stag Patronus messenger, though she soon received an owl to inform her that she was being called to the Hounds and Harriers at half past three o'clock—in advance of the others. While she considered writing Harry to confirm that she would be there, she trusted that he knew her well enough to know that she would follow through. With work and everything else, it wasn't often that she saw Harry, but she had no concerns as he explained to her why he had asked her to come to the pub in the first place and went over the announcement that he would be making. She had been of the same mind for a while, ever since she had learned that Harry wasn't truly dead and especially since Hermione's death. It had been over half a year since it had happened, yet it still felt like yesterday to her. Then, as the pub filled with people at around four o'clock, she watched to see who had arrived and was astounded by not only how many others there were but also how apparent it was that Heliopath must have been doing some recruiting of their own. Beyond the shock of seeing that Harry was alive and well, Parvati knew that there were more than a few people who must have been surprised by some of those in their presence from Ouroboros's side of things, too. With that in mind, she shifted her hold on her drink and motioned Cas over to her side as Harry prepared to address them all. He wasn't there solely by chance, and Parvati wanted the others who might have been skeptical of him and his loyalties to understand that. Then, with everyone gathered in the pub, they heard Harry restate his point: Keeping the former Order divided into Ouroboros and Heliopath was hardly worth it, and they needed to reunite and form an even stronger front if they wanted to be successful against the Dark forces who were so determined on creating a future that none of them wanted. Parvati felt herself becoming misty-eyed at the part of Harry's speech in which he mentioned needing this for their children as well as their children's children, though she kept herself from crying outright. She knew that there were plenty of people in that room who would have expected her to be softer than to be one of the people who had been leading Ouroboros, and she didn't want to give them any reason to doubt her competence. Cas, his demeanor as calm as ever, was only betrayed by the way in which his hands toyed with his wand. She didn't know if she would have gone so far as to call it a "nervous tic", per se, but Parvati had seen him do it often enough that it was apparent to her. That, and the fact that Cas kept stealing glances at Claire Slater all the while. (She would have to ask him about that later.) In the end, Harry was right. They couldn't allow the Purifiers or the witch-hunters to exploit the fact that they had splintered off the Order of the Phoenix, what had been perhaps their strongest defense. It wasn't the House Cup; they didn't need to be in competition with one another when they were all under threat. Just seeing everyone who was there in the pub, Parvati was certain that they could build upon their strengths and make up for any deficits. There were already so many connections among them. With the right coordination, they could keep the magical world that much safer. "We've forgotten how to work together, but it was possible once. It's time to rally," Cas chimed in after Harry had finished his speech. Parvati breathed out and smiled, feeling renewed by the realization of just how many people had never stopped fighting with them on the same side. Simply hearing Harry mention the Order of the Phoenix aloud to a packed room was like a breath of fresh air. It wasn't the end of their fight; in many ways, it was just the beginning, but they wouldn't have to factor quite so many unknowns into their plans once they got everything worked out. Those who had belonged to Heliopath, if they were so inclined, could possibly form their front line of defense, given the propensity for direct action that had caused their difference of opinion in the first place. She raised her glass lightly upwards in Harry's direction. "To a reunited Order," she proclaimed, smiling brightly. The answer's obvious we switch the consonants And change the sword to words and lift continents By some miracle, James wasn’t working that day. Every since that island had appeared in the middle of the ocean, everyone at the Ministry had been kicked into high gear, especially the Aurors and Interpol. They returned to the island with a look in their eyes and stories beyond some imagination and comprehension. James left his flat and walked a few steps. James had been planning to go find some food, and for some reason, he was craving a Butterbeer, and that was about as far as he had gotten through the planning of the rest of his afternoon, but he saw the Stag Patronus in front of him. Seeing it brought a strange feeling to his chest. It had been just about a year since he’d returned, but he’d never forget that feeling of the time when he had simply vanished. The Stag gave him the simple instructions to meet at his father’s pub at four that afternoon—at least that took care of finding something to do. James arrived with ten minutes to spare, nodding to his father who had busied himself pouring pints and James helped himself to one. He already saw Parvati and Casimir and familiar faces from Ouroboros. Still, as the hour drew closer to four, he also saw different familiar faces. Heliopath. Interesting. James hadn’t bothered to respond that he would attend. Harry should know that he could count on James—having forgiven him for his disappearing act after some time, especially after Hermione had been killed. James took a seat near Parvati but not next to her. He wanted to sit a bit closer to the wall to have a better vantage point of the crowd that was building. Why were both groups here? James wasn’t sure what the angle was, but he decided he would wait and listen. The crowd was rather large. He supposed he’d never thought about how many people exactly were part of these forces to fight evil. James spotted specific familiar faces but didn’t move to join them when his father cleared his throat to speak. He explained his disappearance, and James listened although he’d already heard this story. Despite that, he’d moved on from it all, and he didn’t bring it up. It was hard to let go as James didn’t take kindly to being lied to so blatantly. Harry spoke of unity, about putting differences aside. About choices and why they did what they did. James’ hazel eyes never left his father’s figure at the bar. They did what they did to fight the evil in the world—for their children. James knew that Harry wanted nothing more than for his own children to have perfectly normal lives, yet here they were fighting alongside him. A world where James would have never found that body on the train. He glanced at some of the other members, they seemed entranced at his words, but the expression in Parvati’s face especially made him wonder what it would have been like to hear one of these speeches as a student in those days. Cas spoke as well, and James lightly nodded in agreement. This split had been…an impulsive decision by some. James himself had not agreed to it, though he could understand the need to react. Doing something, anything felt better than waiting around for some sign of what to do next. ‘The Order of the Phoenix’, James couldn’t hide the grin that was growing on his face and joined Parvati in a show of solidarity, standing with his pint in his hand. There was a sense of pride in him, it had always been there, but he felt it now. His father’s words had been few but profound, and he’d felt more inspired than he had in some time. ”To unity.”

January 10th 2026 The only perk of incessant, mind-numbing desk duty, was that Claire was easy to reach. Following her less than stellar experience on Yrisle, she had been left with a nasty curse that made field work near impossible solo. Her pride would not allow her to be led around by a leash at Nottingham's command, so she had welcomed mounds of paperwork. Oftentimes marked with Ana Karkaroff's seething, smug signature. It's where the patronus found her. A mug of strong, black coffee sitting on the desk in front of her when the stag came bounding in to view. Its sweeping silver frame so utterly familiar that Claire spilled her coffee over the brown manila folder she'd been about to open. She left it there, shooting from her chair as Harry Potter's voice spilled from the stags open mouth. 'It's finally happening', she thought with an exhilaration that left her light headed. She promptly lapped the office twice before she found the exit.
In the past, Claire had never believed Harry Potter was dead. The man had single-handedly defined her experience as a young auror. He had exemplified everything she had hoped to be. When he'd reached out to her on behalf of the Order, she had been only too happy to regale him with its tragic demise. How they were suffering for it. In their lack of communication and the tension it had inadvertently caused among those who were once allies. They were more at odds than ever. Claire knew that, if anybody, Harry could bring them back together. Vic's ill health seemed only to progress this further, as she had handed over her leadership to Claire. She had agonised over this development, thrilled at the trust it displayed. Terrified that she would fail. Harry's reappearance lifted that weight from her shoulders. Finally, Claire felt like she could be a part of something good.
After managing to escape the Ministry's tangled depths, Claire apparated to Godric's Hollow. Still clad in her Ministry robes, a string of pearls around her neck the only adornment she afforded herself. They had been her mothers. Polished to a sheen, she fiddled with the beads as she stubbornly made her way to the pub without aide. It took her far longer than she would ever admit, but it was half the reason she had arrived so early. Better she beat them all, make a good first impression. So few knew about her newfound trouble with geographical directions. When she made it in to the pub, her face was flushed, wand in hand as if to bring the pub to her. Lest she make another fruitless lap. The pub was already filled with past order members. She recognised them all. From Parvati to James. Cas-. She averted her gaze immediately, chest flushing as she took her place among the throngs, nodding her greeting with a severe, terse mouth. She spared a smile for Harry from over the bar, as if to convey her encouragement in a single look.
When Harry finally addressed the room, a great hush collapsed over the crowd. Claire's posture straightened. She scanned the bodies, as if to check for any disapproval. There was none. Bar the obvious split throughout the pub's floor. Every Ouroboros she could name stuck to their side. Every Heliopath on the other. It was like a Year 6 dance. Claire clasped her hands in front of her, chin tilted up squarely as she stared at Harry with stubborn resolution. Let them fight it out, she thought. It was about time they laid all their grievances out on the table. Lord, Claire only knew.
Harry's commanding voice, though not without fault, left Claire breathless with hope. Her throat tight as she squeezed her wringing hands until her knuckles went red. This would be her first acquiescence since she had taken over for Vic. A part of her worried that it would turn the Heliopath's against her. Claire's first decision being to disband them altogether. She drew in a deep breath, her eyes flickering across the room, where she momentarily caught eyes with Cas. His expression so hard to read from such a distance. She looked away and cleared her throat, lips loosening as she nodded once and spoke with clarity, "To unity."

The silver Stag approached Sav MacMIllian in a slightly inopportune palace, however, he was at least the last one remaining at their early afternoon Quidditch practice. Most practices were later in the day, but since they would have games in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings, his captain liked to switch up their practice schedule to keep them used to the various conditions. The sunlight hit differently, the winds blew from different angles, there was more moisture in the air and sleep still remained in the eyes of some of the players. This was meant to shock their senses and keep them alert at all times of day. It worked, as far as Sav was concerned.
He had hung back to perform some regular maintenance on his broom, and that was there the stag found him. It delivered the message and Sav knew what it meant despite not having been warned at all of it’s coming. A small part of him thought it could be a trap. However, there was no part of him that thought about not going. He dismissed the stag and went about his day anxiously willing time to go by. He didn’t tell Ana where he was going. He didn’t want to worry her.
He figured it would be best to show up a little earlier, so he made his way to Godric’s Hollow, a place he didn’t frequent, and into the pub he hadn’t been to in ages. It was already filling up and more and more people filtered in as the close inched closer to four in the afternoon. He took a spot near Dom, however, he gave polite nods to others as he passed them. Kat was there, Ana’s sister. Sav wasn’t sure Ana knew Kat was here either and he certainly wasn’t going to be the one to tell her. And his mother was there too. Of course she was. And his sister. There were quite a few people here that Sav knew but never saw at his own meetings, it was a little unsettling thinking there were so many people this whole time holding each other back. He couldn’t imagine how much better everyone would be if they had all stuck together.
Harry echoed Sav’s thoughts entirely. They were stronger together, and now was the time to reunite. Harry said something that had been weighing on Sav more than ever before: he wanted to make a better world for his children. As Sav was coming into fatherhood, that had been one of his main concerns. He had never planned to bring children into this world, but now that he was, he didn’t want his child growing up in fear for their lives everyday. He didn’t want his daughter or son attending Hogwarts and wondering what disaster or attack would come at them this year. Harry Potter’s speech was inspiring and lit a fire in Sav. He nodded along though most of the speech and then a man spoke that Sav wasn’t entirely familiar with, but knew vaguely through others. He agreed that it was time to unite and that seemed to cause others to agree as well. Sav didn’t speak but instead nodded. He didn’t feel his voice was needed in this instant, nor was he sure his words would carry any weight. But he was totally on board. This news couldn’t come at a better time. He wasn’t very fond of Claire’s leadership anyway.
