8 January 2026
Harry tossed the damp bar cloth over the faucet, letting it dry. He turned to Yasmin, a young brunette that he'd recently hired to tend the bar, grinning at her. She had been an excellent addition to his small team, hard working and kind to every patron who crossed the threshold of his pub. "Right, I'm off for the evening. You alright to help the other close up?" asked Harry. The other bartenders were busy restocking the bar and attending to customers. Yasmin nodded brightly, hustling him off with her signature dimpled grin. "Right, see you tomorrow afternoon then," said Harry, sweeping off to collect his cloak from the back office before setting off into the evening.
Harry had had a very thoughtful few days. He had quietly been putting his plans into action, meeting with Cas and Claire to discuss how they could combine the factions of the Order of the Phoenix to be united once more. Harry had decided to keep his plans from everyone in his family. Though he didn't want to cause a disruption in their lives, he knew that the other members of the Order would be displeased if he simply chose his family members as co-conspirators with him. He had known Claire for years, having trained her personally in the auror trainee programme. Cas had been a bit of a rogue choice from Ouroboros, but Harry trusted him without question. Their relationship reminded him of the one between the men his second son was named for. Cas had proven his unquestionable loyalty to Harry, and if people doubted his decisions... well, he would address that if it arose.
Harry closed the front door of the cottage he shared with his wife and children, locking it behind him. He slid out of his cloak, hanging it on the nearby rack before pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose and seeking out his wife. Term hadn't started yet, and Harry was grateful that he had more time with Ginny, even if much of his time was taken up by the pub. He'd wanted to keep busy, but he'd also wanted to avoid her extraordinary ire for his somewhat foolish previous decisions. He found Ginny, spritely and fierce as ever, hunched over a stack of parchment in the kitchen. Harry approached her, and yet she did not look up. He brushed her flaming hair to the side, pressing a kiss to her neck. "Evening, gorgeous," said Harry, his heart swelling as the smell of her perfume drifted over him. He loved her more and more each day, grateful for the way they could never doubt each other.
"So... on a more serious note," said Harry, drawing up a chair and lacing his fingers through his wife's. He glanced at the papers she was looking over, and deemed them less important than what he wanted to share with her. He paused, listening for the sounds of his children roaming throughout the house. It was dead silent. "James and Lily out?" asked Harry, confirming their whereabouts. They would know in time. But he wanted to outline his ideas to Ginny before that.

My power's turned on starting right now I'll be strong I'll play my fight song And I don't really care if nobody else believes 3 JANUARY 2026 Spring Term was fast approaching, and it felt as if the Christmas Holiday had only just started. With only two more days before, she was required to return to Hogwarts and was determined to spend it as best as possible. And most of the time, she was spending it with Harry. Though her memories of their earlier marriage were lost to her, his disappearance made her fear losing him once more. And though he had made a promise not to leave her, she wanted to hold onto these moments as if they could disappear. But sadly for Ginny, who had been slacking with her lesson plans for the new term, definitely needed to work. She had made dinner for the night, and once the table and been cleaned and a spell to clean the dishes were done, she got to it. Tons of parchment filled the kitchen table, practically falling to the floor if she moved wrong. She was going over each lesson plan, making sure they mirrored each other for each class of the same year. She was also making sure she didn't repeat anything. If someone had told her that going back to school to teach meant just as much homework as attending, she might not have done it. But it reminded her of all the research she did for the Daily Prophet. The sound of the front door opening didn't deter her from her task. She knew who it was; she didn't have to look up for confirmation. His shoes sounded against the ground as he drew closer, and the feel of his fingers brushing her hair away and his warm mouth touching a delicate kiss to her neck, a smile appeared on her face. She couldn't stop it, not that she wanted to in the slightest. "Evening," she breathed out, moving so she could take him in, watching as he moved and mentioned a more serious note. He pulled up a chair, laced his fingers with her, and she frowned. "Uh oh...what happened?" she asked, fearful that he was about to tell her that he had to leave again. 'James and Lily out?' She nodded her head slowly, "Everyone is gone, it's just me...and now you. What's wrong?" Worry appeared on her face, evident in her voice as she spoke. MADE BY VEL OF GS

Ginny's face morphed into a look of alarm, for which Harry felt immediately guilty. He hadn't meant to draw out that sort of reaction, though he supposed his wording could have better. Harry knew Ginny still struggled with her memory loss, and springing things on her like this did nothing to assuage her fear. He gave her hand a gentle squeeze as his words came out in a rush. "Oh, no, no. Nothing bad at all," he promised, grimacing at his choice of words.
Harry levelled a searching gaze at his wife. She had been so hard at work, and he had interrupted her. But Ginny was well and truly Harry's partner - even if she didn't remember it. They had always shared everything, equals in every right. This wasn't a decision he was going to take lightly, to involve her in his plans to reunite the Order. But she needed to know.
"I've been working on something since I've come back. With the Order. Well, the splinter factions, at least. And I want to reunite the Order. I've been speaking to Cas and Claire about it, and them to their respective groups... but what do you think? Can we make it work despite our differences?" asked Harry, eager for her reply.

My power's turned on starting right now I'll be strong I'll play my fight song And I don't really care if nobody else believes With everything that has happened in their lives as of late, the wording of Harry's sentence was a little alarming. He looked guilty the minute she had questioned him about it, her look of alarm appearing on her face. Sure, she shouldn't have gone to a dark place with her thoughts when he came to her, but what did one expect? With everything that has happened as of late, from Harry disappearing and reappearing to Hermione being killed, darkness and tragedy were around every corner. He squeezed her, quickly removing her worry as he said that it was nothing bad, his words holding an unsaid promise. She nodded her head, "Alright...don't leave me in suspense then," she said, a light laugh leaving her lips as she tried to ease the tension. Harry went into his speech, telling her that he had been thinking of something since his return, wanting to reunite them. Her eyes widened as she listened, hope filling her beings as she held onto each word. "And what did they say? Did Claire and Cas agree that bringing the Order back together as a whole would be the best option?" she questioned, her excitement filling her voice. Since the moment the Order had splintered off, and she had chosen a side, questioning that side when nothing was done, she had voiced her opinions on wanting the Order to reunite. They worked better together; they always had. Plus, those that came before had kept the Order as one whole; why did they suddenly destroy it? "I think it's an amazing idea as long as everyone wants it to happen. I was never really comfortable when we split, each side going and doing their own things. We worked better together, always had. And differences aside, we might have found you...or even stopped the Purifiers if we hadn't been weak and separated."MADE BY VEL OF GS
