Days like today Thomas regretted still taking potions. The class had its moments of excitement but some days it just dragged on and on. It wasn’t even an interesting potion. How exactly was an aging potion that they were told didn’t actually fool any age detecting magic really going to help them. It was at most stupid for Thomas even bother with and at the very least just plain boring. He even doubted such a potion would work on him. Being a half vampire not many potions that changed his physical form in one way or another had an effect at all.
Still the professor demanded his attention which Thomas was barely willing to offer. Instead sketching the bubbling cauldron at the front of the class. It wasn’t much of a scene worth drawing but it was still more interesting than the potion. It also helped that it appeared to much of the world that he was actually taking notes. The class ended with them being instructed that they would be making the potion themselves next class and tested on it. Thomas would have to read up on it just before potions class but besides that he was just ready to go. Pushing his things into his bag and getting up, ready to finally move on this his day.
At least moving on with his day was the plan. Unfortunately a number of people decided to block his path toward the library at every pass. He liked the library it was quiet and people typically left him alone. Assuming he was studying. He made it up four flights of the ridiculous moving stairs before almost being mowed down by someone attempting to surf down it on a mattress. Luckily he avoided the idiot but his bag wasn’t as lucky. Knocking much of it’s contains on the floor and stairs. “Fricking idiots...” he mumbled to himself among a number of other swears. He didn’t want to deal with this. Everything was accounted for besides the most important book, his sketch book. It wasn’t on the floor or the stair, which only meant one thing. Thomas peered over the railing down to see it many floors below him.
Another swear escaped his lips as he made his way back down the stairs. The book was insight just laying there. Which at least that was a relief no one had picked it up and it seemed to have survive the couple flight fall. Thomas got down another flight of stairs and looked over the railing once more. This time the book was gone. “Mother fu...” half a curse got out as he now hurried his pace. Eventually reaching the floor he thought the book had fallen too. There wasn’t many people around, what he did see was his worst nightmare. The familiar pink locks of hair bouncing down the next flight of stairs with his sketch book in hand. His heart nearly stopped in a panic. As he walked both as fast as he could without straight up running toward her.
“H-hey Thursday.” Thomas got out, now only partially breathing a little heavier. Maybe, just maybe for once in his life he could be lucky. Lucky enough that she didn’t stumble upon one of the few sketches he had done of her in secret. “How are you doing? Where did you find that book?” He asked, they had talked a few times, being the same year he saw her plenty of time around both schools and the classes that shared. Which was typically when he sketched her. Thomas had harbored a crush on her for a few years now but never did anything about it. Not that he assumed she would feel the same way. Something about the short pink haired girl just pulled at his heart. In a way not many people could. Mostly because he couldn’t stand dealing with most people. Thursday was different to him there.

Potions was not the girls favorite subject, but it was no where near her least. Thursday dutifully scratched notes and worked onto he potion she had read over many times since getting the book. She also liked the professor. He amused her questions and answered them no matter how silly they may seem. While the aging potion didn't peak her interest as much as many others, she was dutiful in taking notes. She didn't do school work half way. She mouthed the ingredients and instructions as the teacher spelled them out to the class. The cauldron on the desks didn't seem to bother many in her year, but the girl was exceptionally short, so she spent most of the day either on her toes, or kneeling on her stool, extending her legs when she needed more height. The girl would need to take that into account when they would be making it next calls period. Perhaps she could prep some of her ingredients ahead of time, or come in earlier.
As the class was being dismissed, Thursday quickly put away her things. She paused to debate on whether or not she should bother the professor with more of her questions, or wait. Seeing as he had a potion to clean up, and many other students approaching him with questions, she figured it was best to wait. Her questions, after all, had nothing to do with end of year, or even NEWT exams. She decided to wait, but still let most of the classroom clear before heading out herself. Pulling out a book on ancient runes that was far beyond the NEWT level required reading. It was one that the teacher had suggested to her, claiming that it would help still her off topic questions.
With her nose in a book, her natural state of walking, she slowly moved up the familiar path to her home away from dorm, the library. She practically lived there. There were a few books that she was allowed to read from the restricted section, provided that she stay in the library. They were intriguing reads, and as long as she was done with her required class work, she was free to study what she wanted. She stayed close to the walls, and strategically avoided any dangers with regular peaking ahead and natural awareness of her surroundings. As she moved, she passed a number of people, not bothering to look up to see who. Her movement stopped when her foot knocked something. Looking down she saw a sketchbook. The girl closed her own reading and crouched down to pick the item up. As she lowered, Thursday saw what was on the open page. It was good, but she was surprised to see that the drawing looked quite a lot like her.
With it in hand, she looked around, no one seemed to be looking for it. She flipped through the book, letting it close. The girl knew that it's owner would be missing it. She wasn't exactly a social person, but she felt like the right thing would be to return the book. Having passed a group not long before, she guessed that it belonged to someone there. So, the girl started to head that way. If anything else, she would soon run into a professor who could help find the owner.
Before she could get too far, she hard her name. The pink haired girl spun around to see a boy in her year, but not in her house. "What's up Tom?" He seemed out of breath, but that could be for a numbered of reasons. "I'm good," She looked down at the book, then back up at him. "I found it over there, on the floor. I think someone dropped it" She said, motioning back where she had found it. "Do you know who's it is?" She asked.

All he could do was hope she hadn’t stumbled upon one of the pages of her sketched in them. The book wasn’t all her, she was just the only actual person he had tried to sketch. Thomas mostly enjoyed sketching nature scenes, objects, or wildlife. Yet, she captured his muse much like she had his heart. It was just a silly crush he told himself once again like he had before. Chances were she’d never reciprocate so he didn’t even bother attempting to make it a reality. His life was better off without the drama of rejection. “Nothing much, really. Another day.” Thomas replied with a laugh as she asked him what was up before saying she was good.
She explained what she had found the book back up the stairs, figuring someone had dropped it. Which was more the truth than she knew. It had just been dropped from one of the floors above and not someone walking by. She asked if he knew who it belonged to and he hesitated for a moment. What really were the chances she would stumble on the rare pages she was in? How bad could his luck really be? He figured it was best to take his chances than lie and not get it back. Plus his name was in the back of it, if she investigated further she would have obviously found it.
With a slight blush on his face which was only truly obvious due to the paleness of his skin Thomas spoke once more. “Actually it’s mine. I dropped it when some idiot was trying to mattress surf.” He finally revealed, “of course it was the only thing to go off the stairs. Couldn’t have been my care of magical creatures book instead.” Thomas attempted to joke, it wasn’t a good one but anything to keep off the topic of what the book really was. “Pretty sure that thing would survive a fall from the top of the school.”

Thursday didn't know the boy that well. They had had a few conversations, but she was mostly enthralled with her studies and projects to have many friends. Other than her siblings, she knew more Ravenclaw's, and considered some of them her friends. They were good study partners if the need arose. The Slytherin boy answered her basic question nonchalantly.
With the strange sketchbook in hand, she asked the boy if he knew who it belonged to. She wouldn't have, if not for him asking about it in the first place. She noticed his cheeks turning a little pink before admitting that it was his. She looked surprised as she looked from the book to Tom. He mentioned mattress surfing and she shrugged. "Sorry about that." She softly squeaked. There was a good chance that it was a sibling...or impart the fault of a Weekly. She gave a little side smile as he mentioned another book dropping. Thursday was a big advocate of taking care of any sort of book. Though, a number of the required books seemed quite hardy. She knew that mostly thanks to her more adventurous siblings. Unlike Thursday, they didn't see the books as things to be read or studied, they were seen more as an annoyance, and something to weigh down their trunks. "Some of those books do see like they would survive anything." She gave a smile. Moving towards him. He was quite tall. Well, average for their year, but she was just simply shorter than almost everyone else. She smiled up at him, and handed him the book. "You know, your pretty good."

Thursday’s voice was quieter as she apologized to Thomas as he mentioned someone mattress surfing. Which had caused him to drop his book. “Why are you sorry? If it was you I’d probably have noticed sooner anyway...” Thomas trailed off as all he wanted right now was to disappear. If the staircases could move and push him into a hole right now he would have appreciated it greatly. He wasn’t always so terrible with his words. Sure, he didn’t talk much to people he wasn’t already friends with but this wasn’t because of that. Words just flowed without thinking when it came to Thursday. “Cause of your hair I mean... pink is very noticeable.” With that awful attempt at covering himself he just wanted to move on.
He laughed slightly as she smiled before agreeing that a few of the books would indeed have survived. “Pretty sure one of them tried to bite me once.” Thomas gave another laugh this one albeit weaker. He was never this off when talking to someone, it was just Thursday. Even than it wasn’t this bad, the fact she had a book with some sketches of her in hand was adding to the nervous feeling in his stomach. Refusing it call it something ridiculous like butterflies. Taking a step closer to him, Thursday handed Thomas the book. Adding that he was pretty good. Which was something he wasn’t expecting and only added to blush upon his face. “Really? Th-thanks. It’s just a hobby at the moment but it’s still fun. I mostly just draw things scenes or things I find interesting.” He was so focused on the compliment that he didn’t realize till after that she had indeed seen what the book really was. Again, he was filled with silent hope that she hadn’t come a crossed the drawings of her. Especially after that he had just said

The girl blushed when he asked her why she was apologizing. Had she not been so embarrassed with her abrupt apology, she would have noticed more of what he said. Mentioning that he probably would notice her. Though she did catch him mentioning her pink hair. She knew that it was a bold choice, she liked it, though it did mean that people seemed to know her or notice her more often. "N-no. It's just, well, it was probably one of my brothers. If not....um, at least partly their fault." She blushed, not sure if her justification worked, or even was understood.
Tom mentioned one of the books biting him and she laughed. She knew how dangerous some magical books could be. One had to be careful when handling them. Admitting that the lost book was his, she moved closer and handed it to him. She didn't consider herself to be an artist by any means. But her quest to find an artist for her game had brought her to seeing many styles and concepts. Luckily, she now had one, so she didn't ask him if he did anything digital. He was good, and she liked what she saw, trying not to think too hard about the drawing that looked an awful lot like her that she saw. He stumbled through mentioning that his drawing was just a hobby. She froze momentarily when he said that he only drew things that he found interesting. But he couldn't mean her, Thursday Weekly. He must have meant the way her hair was, pink, and usually straggled. Or something else, right?
Not wanting to bring it up she shrugged the thought aside "If your passionate about it, you should peruse it. That's what my parents told me." She loved video games, and had wanted to learn more about how they were made. Her parents encouraged her to find out, helping her find website and online courses that she could learn from. Even helping her get an enchanted laptop. Now look at he, she was designing her own game, and even had an artist that was working on creating the visuals for it. It was becoming more and more of a reality.

Thomas laughed momentarily as Thursday explained why she had apologized. He didn’t know all the Weekly kids. Their names were obvious as they were each named after a day. Besides one if he remembered correctly. Yet, placing a name to a face for most of them was hard. Friday and Saturday he knew as they were in the same year as him. After that it was just a guessing game that he wasn’t too compelled to play. His mind was already reoccupied with just the one Weekly to try figure out the rest. Still it did sound like at least one of her brothers. Friday had been a pain from time to time. Mostly because he kept disrupting class with stupid questions. That, or attempts at seeking attention is all Thomas could assume. “It’s fine, I know of two of your siblings and at least one I doubt you’d have much control over even if you tried.” Thomas joked, doubting even his sister could reign in Friday. The noticeably blush upon Thursday’s fair skin was very distracting in this moment to Thomas.
Thankful to be moving on from his slip of the tongue and his book now back in hand, Thursday spoke of him pursuing his passion. How her parents were supporting her own passions, it sounded nice. “Yeeeaah, my parents aren’t as supportive. My father keeps insisting I follow him in being a writer in the news paper back in America.” Something he had zero interest in. “My mother on the other hand would be happy with me getting any type of career in Macusa. Following her. Really neither I find all too interesting.” Thomas explained, he liked his parents as long as they weren’t in his face about all this. They were just testing his patience very easily lately. Thomas had few things in his life that exactly caught his interests. One of those things that did from time to time was right in front of him. “If all else fails I can sell doodles on the street or something.” Thomas joked, not sure exactly what life had planned for him after school. Yet, he would need to figure it out soon enough.

Thursday had been adopted into a large family, eight kids in total. It wasn't the calmest of environments, but she felt lucky nonetheless. She loved all her siblings. While they all fought, they also all got along when it counted. She also realized the curiosity of their names, and found some people asking about it, and others just baffled. While she wouldn't speak bad about anyone in her family, many of them did like to get up to no good. He talked about knowing a few of them, and she was sure he was talking about Friday. She laughed. There were four six years in the Weekly family. Charlie wasn't the type to get in trouble. Saturday was the type to get in trouble, but more for substances than anything else. Then there was Friday. Thursday always felt a special connection to Friday. They had been adopted around the same time. While they were very different in personality, she loved him all the same. "I wouldn't use the word control, no. But who'd want to." She spoke, a since of love to her words. Each kid was different, that was what made their family so special. "We're all sort of an odd bunch." She shrugged. Most of the m were demi-humans, and considered less wanted. That was why Thursday felt so lucky that she had been wanted by them.
She mentioned following his passion, and he mentioned that his parents weren't as supportive as hers were. It was no secret that the Weekly family was wealthy. Anyone who heard about Friday's summer party would know that their parents sprung for a nice place for their kids who were stuck in the country. She thought about what he said his parents did. Her mother was an actress, and her father was the executive of an enchanted calendar company. She could never see herself in either career. She was glad that April and August insisted that their children follow their dreams. She also knew that if creating video games didn't become lucrative for her, she could live comfortably with her family for as long as she needed. He then mentioned selling doodles on the street and she shrugged. "I'd buy your art. You know, you should get online." She suggested. "That's how I found the a digital artist for my game." She blurted without thinking. She knew that many at this school didn't even know what a video game was, much less that she was making one.

Thursday explained that she wouldn’t have used the word control and even if she could she wouldn’t have wanted too. Using the word control might have been a mistake. He was just trying to jokingly suggest she was implying she could reign one of them in with he apology. He wasn’t the best at coming across as joking. “ Sorry. I didn’t mean like control, control. I was just saying I doubt anything would stop some of them from doing something silly. Even their sister trying to talk them down. I was in the library when Friday decided it would be a good time for fireworks.” Thomas said with a quick single laugh. At the time he was annoyed with Friday and all the noise he had made. Now talking to Thursday he couldn’t exactly feel mad about it. Instead just focusing on not saying something wrong once again.
There was a moment of shock as Thursday said she would have bought his drawings. Adding that he should go online with them. He shook his head for a second, the blush on his cheeks being maintained by the new compliment. “Thanks but they aren’t that good.” Thomas rebutted, at least in his eyes they weren’t anything special. It was just a something he did to pass the time or when he felt the muse to draw. At least that’s what he told himself. He never thought of making it a career. Thursday added that putting art on online was how she found an artist for her game. “Game? What kind? Aside from stuff on my phone I’ve never had a chance to play any No-Maj game things... systems? He asked now curious in what she might actually be creating. It also wasn’t entirely true that he had never played any No-Maj game devices. Just this was back before he started school, when he had No-maj friends. Years and years ago.

Thursday blushed as the boy continued talking, clarifying what he was meaning. She nodded "I heard about those. Thankfully none of the books were damaged." Had she been there, and had she known about the fireworks, she would have sent him outside, or tried to do something about it. But Friday was bolder, and he seemed more comfortable in his own skin than Thursday was. The girl gave a sheepish smile and a small weak chuckle to show that there was no hard feelings, if that was what was going on. She wasn't the best at socializing. She rarely talked with people other than her siblings or fellow Ravenclaw's about course work. Small talk wasn't her forte.
He mentioned that they weren't "that good" and she shrugged. "Your better than a lot of artist I've seen online." True, there were other artists that were better than him, but his art was his art. It never hurt to get it out there. But who was she to talk. She wasn't an artist. Though her video game was a missive project that perhaps would one day make it out into the world. That idea thrilled and terrified her. With little thought, she had mentioned her game in a casual manner. Blushing hard when he asked about it, she kept forgetting that many wizards didn't deal with technology a lot, but also, if they did, very few were as wealthy as her family was. "Oh, It's a....well, it's going to be for the computer, and it's sort of like, um, a puzzle adventure, pick your story type of thing." She knew exactly what it was, but it was hard to explain, and even her siblings didn't have all the details. Though she often forgot which sibling knew what. "It's still a work in progress" She shrugged, trying to play it off as no big deal. But she was very proud of it. She was self thought, and worked on it as often as she could. At school it was little bits here and there, but durring the summer and vacations, it was just about non-stop. And now that she had an artist, things were picking up.

The blush that remained on Thursday’s face and even grew was so striking to Thomas. It was lovely to see and also far too distracting. Realizing suddenly that he wasn’t actually paying attention as she spoke once more. Responding to his comments on her brother and his fireworks. “Oh... i-it wasn’t so bad. Loud, bright and annoying sure but it didn’t cause any damage to anything.” Thomas explained remembering the scene after the light show. There was some smoke but that was about it. “I think he just got away with a talking to and a detention from librarian. Might have been worse if there was any real damage.”
Thursday replied that he was still better than some artists she had seen online after Thomas tried to downplay his drawings. “Thanks, I’ll have to think about it. Possibly a few pieces but not all of the things I’ve drawn.” Thomas said relenting a little to the idea. Possibly out of some desire he didn’t know he had to purse art but more likely because it was Thursday suggesting the idea. Either way he wouldn’t put up any of the sketches of her. As she explained that her game would be for computer Thomas regretted not having one. ”That’s really cool,” Thomas added as Thursday continued. Saying that it was still a work in progress. “I’d still like to try it sometime, tell me whenever it’s ready for people to play. I’ll try and have a computer by then.” Finishing with a small laugh. Thomas never imagined he could be so easily swayed but now he found an interest in having a computer all his own just for this moment.

The boy, who had witnessed Friday's antics in the library, reconfirmed what she had heard from her brother. She gave a slight smile. She didn't know what she would have done had she been there. Honestly, she probably would have wanted to yell at him, but confrontation wasn't something Thursday had mastered. She was never one to enter into anything that had the slightest whisper of confrontation. She just couldn't do it. So, it didn't matter as much as she imagined herself or wanted to do it, she wouldn't be able to manage it. At best, her sibling would pat her on her head and call her cute. "I'm glad nothing was damaged." Her parents would probably have been able to pay for any damages and not feel any repercussion from their bank accounts, but that was not the point. Thursday interacted with books more than she did people, the library was a second home to her.
He mentioned thinking about putting some up online. She smiled widely at him. "Make sure you let me know where, I'd love to see more of your stuff." She mentioned her game, and gave more details when he asked. He said it was cool, and she smiled at the compliment. She knew it was cool. She had worked hard, countless hours, learning to code, practicing, and finally working from concept to creation of her own game. It was a long process, and she still had a long way to go, but it was cool. He mentioned wanting to give it a try. "Thanks. I'm still working on coding, so the only game play is me seeing if things work." She gave a simple shrug. He mentioned not having a computer, and again Thursday was reminded how fortunate she was to have been welcomed into a rich family. She felt a little guilty, but it wasn't something that she could control.
"So, you were heading up?" Changing the subject, Thursday knew that the boy was a Slytherin. She wondered where he had been off to. He didn't seem in a rush now. "Were you going up to the Library?" She only guessed because he had mentioned being there before. Though she knew most normal people didn't spend half their school time there. She, obviously, was abnormal.

Thomas gave a weak almost awkward sounding laugh. Thursday commented that she was glad her brother hadn’t caused any damages. Thomas was surprised himself when it had happened. That it was some lights and sound. Yet, No real effect from the fireworks. “Yeah, probably why the librarian didn’t get more upset about it. Think he just got a few detentions.” Thomas explained, aware she probably already knew what her brothers punishment had been better than himself. “Which I feel like isn’t a new thing for him.” Which was followed by another small laugh. Thomas didn’t want to be making too much fun of Friday. Mostly as he was Thursday’s brother after all. Still it wasn’t like it would be news to her. She had dealt with her brother longer than Thomas had been in classes with him. She was no stranger to Friday's antics Thomas could assume.
After implying he might actually put some of his art online Thursday explained she wanted to know where when he did. She would love to see more of his work. Which in itself was something making Thomas’s heart race ever so slightly. She actually wanted to see more of his art. Granted he’d need to hide the drawings which involved her. If anything just to save himself from dying of embarrassment if she ever figured out it was her. “Sure thing. I’d have to figure out how to get them online in the first place so that’ll be a whole thing. Still, if I do you’ll be the first person I tell.” He was both motivated to now put his art out there and nervous at the same time. His art was mostly just for himself, something to do because Thomas enjoyed it and it was peaceful to him. Yet there had been pieces he wished he could have shared with the world. “That works out, maybe by the time I either convince my parents or just get one of my own. I’ll have a computer by then.” He replied as she spoke of her game and where it was at currently.
Thursday asked if he was heading up and then if he was going to the library. “Yeah actually. It’s quieter than the common room and I figured I could get some studying done for potions.” Thomas replied which was mostly true, he was going to at least attempt to study. If he got bored and started drawing was also a possibility he was fine with as well. “What about you? Or are you just on the look out for more falling books in danger?” Thomas attempted a joke, not his strongest suit but he was trying his best to be sociable here.

The boy mentioned that her brother got a few detentions, and she was sure he wasn't loud back in the library, but all she did was sigh and nod. Giving a little chuckle she smiled up at the boy. "Friday definitely knows how to get noticed" At times Thursday felt like she was the opposite of her brother, small, soft and quiet. The most memorable thing about her was her hair. Changing the subject to his art, he mentioned that he'd look into it, and tell her first if he succeeded. She smiled wide at him. "I look forward to it." He mentioned for sure having a computer by the time she was finished with her game and she chuckled. "Then I'll be sure to send you the link.....well, when there is a link." She blushed.
It seemed as though the girl was right, they were heading in the same direction. "Yea, I'm going to the library too." She chuckled at his comment about falling books. "There are some books that I've been studying, but they can't leave the library." She had gotten special access approval to study certain books, that were extremely old and large. "W-we could go together.....if you want." She said nervously, shifting from foot to foot, and twirling her pink hair with a few fingers.

Thomas joined in as Thursday laughed for a moment. Talking about her brother and how he knew how to get attention. That was a nice way of putting it. Thomas found that level of seeking attention a little annoying. Even if he was doing it for his own amusement and not attention. It just seemed all too loud for the Slytherin. A boy who preferred quiet moments to himself than the hectic messes Friday created. Nodding as Thursday said she looked forward to him getting his art online and sending her the information. “Thanks.” He replied, blush receding from his pale cheeks. He hadn’t expected any of this today. He just assumed it would be a quiet day in the library. “Please do. I’d love to give it a go. Whatever state the game is in.” He replied as Thursday said she would send him her game once it was playable
Thursday confirmed she was going to the library as well. Explaining that she was reading up on some books that weren’t allowed to leave the library. Something which filled him with a few questions. “Anything interested? It must be good if they won’t let to leave with the books.” Thomas asked genuinely curious on what could be so important they wouldn’t let leave the library. That and just interested in what Thursday was doing he supposed if he was honest with himself. He was stopped for a moment from thinking as Thursday asked that they could go to the library together, if he wanted. It didn’t help that she started playing with her striking pink heart. “O-oh,” Thomas got out still lost in the cute sight before him. “Yeah, yeah. That would be cool. I normally just sit allow and study or draw but it might be nice to have some company. If you don’t mind?”
