My power's turned on starting right now I'll be strong I'll play my fight song And I don't really care if nobody else believes 21 MARCH 2026 Three months into the second term at Hogwarts, and she was already spent, ready for the summer to come and take her away. It always got this way, and she was sure some of the students felt the same. She could see it in some of their scores, as well as their eyes. They were ready for the end and to move on. Even some of the seventh years she saw stalking the castle were ready to graduate and move on with their lives. She didn't blame them; when she was their age, she was prepared for it. Then again, they didn't fight in a battle on the school grounds. Sometimes she still had those moments in the Great Hall where she looked out and could see the bodies and people drinking as they waited. She always swallowed a mouth-full of her drink to wash it away. It had been years, and still, it was as if it were only yesterday. Maybe that was why the Hogsmeade visits were always nice. Though not long ago it had been attacked by dragons, it was like this world couldn't get a break: so much death and destruction over a bit of blood. She hated it. There was nothing to do but fight it, and that was what she hoped would come of the Order. After the split, she felt like nothing was happening, that she had picked the wrong side of it all. And with Harry back, the minute he brought up wanting to reunite the Order, she had been for it. She was there every step of the way, and she believed they had a chance. United, they could do something, divided they were doomed to fall. She brushed a strand of hair behind her ear, walking among the little town of Hogsmeade. It was looking better after some rebuilding, and people were starting to prosper once more. She had offered to help chaperone the visit, a way to get away from the castle and do something fun for once. Just because she was in her forties didn't mean she wasn't allowed to enjoy herself, right? MADE BY VEL OF GS

It was difficult for Harry to relinquish the reins of the Hounds and Harriers for the day to one of his colleagues. He loved being around the pub more than he had expected. At first, it had been sort of an escape. Somewhere he could be just Harry, not Harry Potter, the Chosen One, or the boy who lived. He wasn't exactly that person anymore - he hadn't been for nearly thirty years. Yet the wizarding world seemed to always call to him in times of trouble, especially since the rise in strange activity in the past months. From the bombings to the reappearance of Yrisle (which Harry wholeheartedly did not go to), the veil of mystery fell over the world again, and once more, upon Harry's shoulders.
Or perhaps it was just Harry overthinking things. Taking on more than he ought to. It wasn't the first time Harry had shown his 'saving people thing.' Ginny constantly reminded him that he wasn't responsible for absolutely everything, but Harry still struggled. Regardless, his wife had insisted that he meet her in Hogsmeade, to take a break from everything going on, and to get away from his pub. They would survive without him for a day. Maybe this was practice for letting the fate of the wizarding world go?
It was a brisk morning, with little buds denoting the start of spring forcing their way out of the hard ground. Harry apparated to the end style of the high street, where he had met Sirius all those years ago. He lingered, remembering how ragged the 'lovable stray' had looked, how thin the man he'd become had turned out, and how quickly his life had been torn away. Forcing his attention elsewhere, Harry shoved his hands into the pockets of his cloak and trudged down the high street, determined not to get lost in memories. He spotted Ginny almost at once - her vibrant hair a spark amongst the drab and grey. He looped an arm around her middle, catching her by surprise and drawing her into a kiss. "Hello, wife," said Harry in a low voice, bottle green eyes twinkling with mischief.

My power's turned on starting right now I'll be strong I'll play my fight song And I don't really care if nobody else believes Her shoes padded against the ground as she walked, taking in the little village of Hogsmeade that held so many memories. Though the dragon attack had damaged a good chunk of the location, it didn't make it any less. She could still remember little things of her past, of her childhood. Most of her memories swirled within her from that time, but when it came to life after Hogwarts, to her marriage and birth of her children, it was nothing but darkness. She shook her head; she shouldn't think like that. She knew that they would get them back one day, but with everything happening in the world, it wasn't the time or place. There were more pressing matters than her missing memories, like all the death and destruction. She got caught up in those thoughts again, that she hadn't realized someone was drawing closer to her until they were upon her. Familiar arms looped around her waist, pulling her into a kiss, one that she returned. She smiled at him, "Well, hello there..." she breathed out, slowly a frown appeared on her face, "I thought you had work...who's at the pub?" she questioned, curiosity in her eyes. MADE BY VEL OF GS
