It was another lazy summer evening after Arlo finished work for the day. He was keeping on top of his training, but working in a patisserie had sort of taken a toll on his diet just a little bit. As he clutched the bag of odds and ends from the end of the day, he took the steps up to his flat two at a time. It wasn't much. One of the properties his dad had kept for a long time; when his dad had been fresh out of school like him, his dad had let him stay here and now he repaid Arlo the same leg up in life.

Arlo had changed things up a little bit though.

Spencer had once assumedly had a whole entourage of party people filing in and out. Arlo only had one person with him; Lulu.

As his keys cracked the door open, he poked his head in and wondered if she was already home or not.

Lulu had an early shift at the pizza parlor. After treating herself to a long, steamy shower to scrub every inch of her body in hopes of ridding her pores and hair of the essence of garlic. Lulu shrugged into one of Arlo's comfy hoodies that smelled like him. She curled up on the couch to watch trashy reality tv while waiting for Arlo to return home until eventually drifting off into a nice snooze. She hated working morning shifts because she wasn’t a morning person in the slightest. Not even for quidditch. Maybe for a chocolate croissant and coffee though…

Keys unlocking the front door pried her out of her peaceful slumber. The purple-haired snake shot up from the sofa with a sleepy but happy smile. "Yaaaay! Baby's home!" she squealed, feet padding over to her boyfriend to hop into his arms and kiss him soundly. Lulu was always excited to see Arlo. ”How was your day?” she asked sweetly as she massaged his shoulders and showering him in kisses.
