Finally she had made it to the end of another school year. Thank Merlin. It was only her second year teaching Herbology, and she was still enjoying it of course. But she would be glad for the few weeks break now over the summer. There was no plan of holidays or anything yet, she was still ironing out a few things with AMY ESMA ASTOR-SHAW in that way, but it wasn’t discounted. For now she’d just chill out and drink as much Wine as she wanted without having to answer Owls from annoying parents or deal with the kids and their issues & drama.
The Admin staff had made up some last minute info packs about their classes and such things for the next year and left them in the staff room they shared with some of the LIFE Professors. Usually Alora didn’t venture in there too much, she enjoyed her own company more. But it wasn’t a bad place. It was four pm on a friday by the time she had been free to make her way down to the staff room. It suited her, there’d likely be nobody else in there at this time, or at least very few people. Poking her head in she was glad to see her suspicions confirmed; a big empty room. With a happy sigh she moved in and over to the kettle. Flicking the switch down, she decided she’d make some peppermint tea while she flounced around. The noise of the kettle continued in the background as she made her way over to the main table where there was a stack of envelopes. Rifling through them she paused here and there and a few different names; some she recognised, some she didn’t. She was surprised hers wasn’t on top, with an A surname, but she supposed someone else had made the way to the A4 envelopes before she had gotten there and messed up the order.
With the large envelope tucked under her arm, she walked back to the kitchenette and started pottering to gather things for tea while the kettle finished.
