Shrugging his shoulders lazily, he watched as her fat rats rolls disgustingly slid down its body. He’d leave comments to himself since he figured his friend shoudknn’t have to defend her furry pal every encounter they had. Sammy probably had his own colorful language to express his feeling about her preferred pet. ”Being a Muggle sounds a little boring…” he wrinkled his nose. He was truly his mothers son. ”Do you like to watch Rugby?” he asked curiously, since she seemed well-informed in Muggle culture. His favorite thing about Muggles were sports and cars. He respected them for their inventions but still thought they were a little stupid which wasn’t really fair because they didn’t have a choice of being non-maj.
The corners of his lips twitched into a smile at her ‘horsing around’ pun. ”Ha. Good one.” he chuckled, nodding approvingly. His expression quickly dropped at Tilly’s explanation of centaurs being protected by the ministry. Well, that changed things. ”Well...Nevermind then…” he sighed disappointedly. Scottie wasn’t trying to accost another being, it just sounded like it could be a good time. This time the risk didn't seem like it was worth it. Back to the drawing board.
Cocking his head to the side, he backtracked a moment in their conversation. ”Waaaaait. More what, exactly?” he asked quickly, eyes subconsciously expectant. More age? More smarts? Scottie furrowed a brow at Tilly as if she had the answer to all of life questions. What did his old as dirt half brother have that he didn’t?

▲ Tilly had long since concluded that her more magically inclined classmates would never truly understand what it meant to have muggle parents. Even those with one were still one foot in the door by the time they got their Hogwarts letter. Technically, and this was about as barebones of a technicality that one could have, she had years of watching her older siblings finding out and then bouncing off to wizard school. But it wasn’t the same at all. They weren’t allowed to use it at home and typically all of their books were kept hidden away in their rooms, lest some normal friend popped in to say hello and got an eyeful of The Monster Book of Monsters. ”They’ve managed well enough without magic all this time,” she shrugged. Scottie asked if she watched Rugby at all, and she nodded her head. Which was sort of hard to do while lying flat on her back, but she managed. ”I like anything with violence, so yeah.” American football was pretty entertaining too, though she wasn’t a huge fan of all of the safety equipment that they wore. If she could deal with injuries, why couldn’t they do that as well? ”Just…you know…” Tilly measured with her hands. Whether she meant height or wand length was up to him to decide. ”But it could be a maturity thing too. Not that I expect any of us to be as cool as adults.” She trailed off and closed her eyes again. The sun was so nice and warm…she welcomed the skin cancer. Tilly absolutely wasn’t one to talk to about being mature. Her interests alone made her the odd one out already, and she liked to take things to the next degree if possible. No self-respecting adult would act the way she did. MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

Scottie nodded with mixture of approval and fear when Tilly explained she loved anything violent. He wondered if Hogwarts would ever allow a Rugby team for recreational fun. Unfortunatley it seemed that many kids were afraid of getting the shit smacked out of them these days which was unfortunate because it was a great character and strength builder.
Sighing, his nose scrunched in disapproval of his classmates being interested in Archie. Scottie hated when fawning and attention wasn't over him, finding it was to get jealous. "Nope. I disagree." he sat himself a little straighter, shaking his head back and forth with disappointment. He didn't understand why all of the school age girls crushed on his step brother, he never would. "Archie is a nerd. The only people who think he's cool are probably also nerds.." Scottie offered Tilly a more suspicious glare as his eyebrows threaded together.
After a brief contemplative silence, his mouth slowly opened. "Well..I'm tellin' Theo you have a crush on Archie.." he threatened with an evil laugh as he pushed himself off the grass with the palms of his hands, springing to his feet and darting across the grass like a madman. Speaking of maturity levels..

▲ Siblings sort of almost always turned out looking similar enough, didn’t they? For example, her brothers were spitting images of one another, and she was already the same height as Terry. Once she was old as dirt too, she was positive that no one would be able to disagree that they were related. Sometimes, Tilly wasn’t all too keen on that, but she was sure it would be fine once she was also ancient looking. Basically what she was getting at was that if Scottie waited another decade or so, he’d probably be looking just like his older brother. Maybe. There were a lot more issues with the gaga eyes that her roommates put on for the professors, and for once she felt like the normal one when it came to that. It was all so…weird. ”I mean, she is a nerd so that makes sense,” Tilly shrugged. Felicity was the nerdiest of nerds, always with a stack of books on her nightstand. They were interchanged every third day at least with new ones. The sudden explosive rise of Scottie next to her caused Tilly to pull Squeaks closer to her, afraid her rat would go flying in the Vector boy’s gravitational field. His warning of telling Theo that she had the hots for his older brother didn’t concern her at all. That was honestly the best thing that could happen to her. She enjoyed getting under Theo’s skin, and to be honest, she was pretty sure he liked it too. If he didn’t, he would have left her years ago. ”Scream it from the Astronomy Tower! I like it when he gets jealous!” she yelled at Scottie’s back as he ran off across the grounds. As much as she would have enjoyed giving chase, her rat didn’t do well with sudden motion. And, it was too nice out to move that much. She was here for the sun, after all. MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

Tilly didn't give him the reaction he was hoping for or expected which was slightly disappointing. Which was stupid of him. Deep down he knew Tilly didn't care what anyone thought of her. She carried around a rat 24/7 for crying out loud. There wasn't much that seemed to grind the Puffs gears which he appreciated but also enjoyed testing on a frequent basis, so he continued the stupid banter.
As Scottie cut across the lawn, he smoothly jumped over a small group of girls sitting in the grass gossiping. Scottie watched Tilly as he bellowed, "Attention! Student Body!" demanding with hands cupping his mouth to amplify his voice. "Tilly Poole fancies old blOkes!" Scottie piped excitedly as loud as he could, voice cracking unexpectedly on the last word. "That is all. Carry on.." he stated in an uncharacteristic calmness before breaking off into a questionable run-skip toward the quidditch pitch.

▲ Tilly honestly didn’t care what was said about her; she was weird, that sort of thing was inevitable. From her understanding, most of the students at Hogwarts that knew of her believed what they wanted to believe. Most of the talk had to do with her Quidditch prowess, and her fellow Hufflepuffs definitely didn’t care how strange she was as long as she played well. That was sort of the deal they had. So watching Vector bound off across the lawn like a freshly born fawn, screaming his pampered head off about her wanting to shack up with old men…it didn’t really bother her as much as it should have. That definitely wasn’t the worst rumor floating around about her currently, and not even close to some of the more horrid ones that had popped up now and again. The one she definitely disliked was how she had ‘slept her way onto the team’, which had sprouted up right before her first ever match. That definitely wasn’t the best to have at that age but was quickly squashed once she had the chance to toss the Quaffle around. A laugh bubbled out of her at the crack of his voice as he yelled to everyone in the vicinity. ”The older the better!” she called at him while he continued to scamper away. The group of girls that he had pranced overlooked back and forth between the two of them, trying to figure out what they had just unwittingly been put in the middle of. Whether or not this would get back to Theo was hard to guess. But if he did, that wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world either. It just gave them something else to talk about, and her to push his buttons with. Laying back down, she made sure Squeaks was in a comfortable position and returned to soaking in the rays.
