▲ Buy or rent, that was the eternal question, wasn't it? Buying allowed her to fully escape being under anyone else, which was something she had so desperately wanted for years now. Always playing second fiddle to Veronica, though somehow still considered better than Frankie because of his being a squib. She had never seen it that way, of course, as each of her siblings had skills and attributes that made them who they were. Some just happened to have terrible personalities and raging narcissism, and could make a potion curdle just by glaring at it. Doing something for herself without the assistance of her parents or friends was the first step in her escape. Even if she only landed a block away from Ollivanders or in Hogsmeade, that was enough for her. The reliance would be gone and she hoped that she would finally be viewed as a proper adult, instead of the spare Ollivander wandmaker. "Financially, buying would be a smarter choice. Some of the available shops have a space above for an apartment," Nell explained. "It doesn't really do anything in the way of separating home from work...but having one mortgage payment instead of rent for both is far more manageable." And it would keep her on her toes when it came to getting work done. There was no escaping it if she lived right next to her workshop. Archer, unfortunately, had a way of completely distracting her from the conversations they had. He'd always been that way with smooth words and pushing or pulling her in the direction he wanted her to go. Right now was no different, and Nell felt herself starting to get flustered again. This always happened when he popped back up unexpected. "I-I wouldn't say no," she stuttered out. MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

━ sharing my heart, it's tearing me apart ━ HUMMING QUIETLY AT HER REASONING, Archer found himself nodding in agreement. Buying was the better option generally, and the best option for Nell to truly feel...unattached from her family. Archer knew the problems within the Ollivander family; from whatever Nell had told him anyways. Media outlets and scoops wouldn't reveal the real horrors or family dramas.
"Space for an apartment?" He parroted, before feigning slight disappointment. "So that means you won't be living with me yet?" Archer did have a small apartment of his own in the city, but he barely..lived there. He spent more time at his family home and travelling around because of work. That and also..he had been gone for just over a year. He remembered having the dust covers over all of the furniture when he up and left all of a sudden.
Looking down at Nell with a small smile, he moved his hand away from her chin, somewhat satisfied to make her feel all flustered. "Yeah? Where's the first place we're heading off to then?"

▲ ”We both know that when you’re around, you’re here all the time anyways,” she said in response. It would make zero sense for them to be living together if his work took him out of the country three hundred days out of the year. Which it sort of already did. Nell had seen what that did to Rhys and McGonagall. While she was positive that she and Archer cared far less than that, she also wasn’t going to completely implode this if she didn’t have to. Everything worked out well the way it was. Why bugger it all up just to have a slightly bigger apartment all to herself? She also wasn’t going to tell him to stop being a Cursebreaker. That seemed to be the fatal flaw when it came to Rhys’s relationship, at least from what she understood out of it. McGonagall had always been so demanding anyways. It was a wonder that she was a Hufflepuff and not a Slytherin. The two of them were definitely flip-flopped by the Sorting Hat. She had no clue what was actually out there to travel to. Archer was the one with all of that experience. She was only good at making wands and being a pushover. ”I don’t know…what’s somewhere you like?” It seemed farfetched, but the Ollivanders hadn’t traveled all that much when she was younger. Her parents were so engrained in working and training their children, going anywhere that wasn’t directly related to business was silly. Nell had absorbed that work ethic, unfortunately, and felt like she could never truly relax when she had a day off or ‘vacation’. ”It would have to be somewhere close. Veronica probably wouldn’t give me more than a day or two.” Or not at all, if she wanted to be completely realistic. How much time would that set back her apprenticeship? A year? Two? ━ sharing my heart, it's tearing me apart ━ FINDING HIMSELF LAUGHING IN AGREEMENT, Nell Ollivander was far from wrong. In all the times he had spent visiting her since graduating and overall starting his job, he always found a way back to her. To her apartment. His mother always hounded him for paying rent and keeping an unused apartment in the city, but what if he someday needed a place to go? What then?
Humming quietly at her response, his mouth worked its way into a smirk, dark eyes gazing down at hers. "I like anywhere you are. Minus...my unforeseen disappearance and all." He knew she would somehow bring it up, the year that he randomly just disappeared, leading to his eventual return..being now of course. "Maybe we can go back to the places I travelled through. You'd get to see what I saw."
Letting out a sigh, Archer rolled his eyes. "Who cares what that nut thinks? You'll be out of her hair in no time, with your own place, hours and days you want to rest right in the palm of your hand." He smiled then, reaching to push a small strand of hair behind the Ollivander's ear. "Whenever you wanna go. Wherever. I'll be right here."
