With a loud pop sound an old man appeared outside the gates of Hogwarts, he wore black robes and carried a black cane used to help him when he walked. Quickly he scanned the area around him then withdrew his wand and flicked it a few times in the air. There was the sound of metal scarping against metal and the gates opened and the man walked into the grounds of Hogwarts and then closed the gates behind him. He gave a sigh and started muttering a few spells under his breath as he waved his wand in the air, the gate glowed for a few seconds than stopped. Burt pocketed his wand, and proceeded on a path not towards the castle but to the Black Lake on the grounds. He could not go to his office now, he had just come back with a meeting from the Minister and it did not please Burt in any such way, he did not see need to take action at all.
Lately Burt had been finding himself outdoors lot thinking, trying to figure out what is going on behind the recent killings of some Aurors as well as the Minister. Then to add to the worse of it, a child killed at the start of the term, on the Hogwarts express. It was bewildering to Burt as what was happening and it did not help him at all that, he had just started his job as Headmaster. Parents had flooded his office with letters with demands on to what he was doing to protect their kids and the school, in that order. He was doing everything in his power that he could, he doubled the protection spells around the castle. Inspections where done on students before they even entered the grounds of Hogwarts and Burt himself patrolled the grounds and castle during all times of the day and night.
He stopped as he started to reach the edge of the lake; he looked over at an old tree stump near the lake. Smiling he took out his wand and pointed it at the stump, he flicked the wand and the tree stumped morphed into a little wood bench for him to sit down on. I do miss my Transfiguration class thought Burt as he took a seat and started out to the lake. He smiled and nodded at students nearby but, kept going on with his thoughts of the current crisis. He did not understand what or who was behind the attacks, maybe a death eater who had revenge. He gave a slight shudder to even the thought that someone like Voldemort was behind it all. Tapping his wand on the ground a few stones flew up in the air and started to throw themselves, skipping along the waters of the lake. He watched the stones skip along the water as his thought delved deeper into who might be behind the attacks, and how to defend Hogwarts.

As of late, the Black Lake had sort of become James's place to go if he wanted to take a few short minutes to collect his thoughts. Since the young muggleborn girl had been killed on the train, he would sometimes see some young first year that looked like the muggleborn in the corridors and would be reminded of her poor fate. At these times, he would skip lunch or whatever class he was headed to to go and regain his composure at the Black Lake. No one really went here during the day, especially during classes. And lately, James had been being treated with a little more lenancy from the professors, minus Kovachev, for what had happened on the train. He was doing his best to not let it get to him, and he had really felt better about it now, but it was still difficult to cope with.
James began descending the grounds from the castle, making his way toward the Black Lake. He was glad he had friends like Alice, Ronan, Fred, and Elodie, friends who cared how he was feeling and whom were worried about how this affected him. Just the thought of them alone put a smile to his face and already he was feeling much better. He reached the lake finally and was just about to turn right back around when he noticed a much older man sitting on a wooden bench right by the edge of the lake. Immediately, James recognized the man and decided to approach him.
"Headmaster?" James spoke up from behind Headmaster Reynolds, then walked around the bench to stand off to the side in front of him. "What are you doing out here?" He asked. What a silly question. James knew he had just as much a right to be out here as anyone else, but this had sort of become James's spot. He wasn't mad that the headmaster was there, he was just curious as to why he was there now.

His blue eyes kept staring out at the lake watching the stones skip along the water as his thought divulged deeper into how to protect the students. He had done all the normal stuff of course, and was pushing hard for Auror protection at the school. The Minister was not helping him but, he knew the Head Auror Harry Potter would do everything he could to help provide Auror protection at the school. His mind started to go into some of the older protective spells and magic he had read about powerful, but extremely hard to perform magic, and dangerous if done improperly. He had a feeling he would however need to take such unusual steps and methods to protect the school, students, and his ambitions, not particularly in that order of course.
His thoughts were broken and as they were the stones floating in the air ready to be thrown to the water fell onto the ground, he turned around as a voice had broken his thoughts. The voice had called out “Headmaster?” almost like a question. As he turned to his side he saw a student walk up to the front of where he was on his side, the student was James Sirius Potter, the eldest son of Harry Potter. He gave a friendly smile to James, as he had always liked this Potter, much better then him liked Harry. Burt had always took a liking to having James in his class and, now with everything that had happened felt he needed to watch over the boy. James had in fact been the one to discover the dead girl on the train, and he had talked with him immediately after the incident of course when the train arrived at Hogsmeade. When Burt had gotten the news of what happened, he traveled down to Hogsmeade to wait for the train and meet the Aurors and students.
What came next out of Burt’s mouth just made him give a slight frown to James and sighed, pulling out his wand he waved it and a wooden bench appeared out of thin air next to Burt, for James to sit. ”Well I was looking out at the lake, you know I believe the Headmaster has a right to get out of the castle. Go ahead and sit, I assume I may ask what you are doing here correct?” quipped Burt giving a small smirk at James. He turned away from James and looked back out to the lake , and watched as the giant squid tentacles moved across the surface of the lake, as a student he had taken late night swims out in the lake. Never did he have a problem with the giant squid, it always seamed friendly, the grindylows however were a major pain. Turning back to James he looked right at him and asked ” How are you adjusting James since the killing?”, his tone was friendly and calm but he made sure to get to the point.

Luckily, James felt he had always had a good relationship with the Headmaster. He had enjoyed his class before his promotion and actually respected the man. There weren't many teachers that James Potter respected, much to his mother's dismay, as this usually got him into a lot of trouble. James let a small grin appear when the headmaster conured another wooden bench, this time for James. He sat down in it happily.
"I am here to do the same thing, actually," he said, gazing out over the lake. James then gestured to the giant squid. "It is a lovely view to get one's thoughts out," he said in a silly accent. James did feel this way, but he always had a weird way of showing his true and deep feelings that could have a possibility of making him seem vulnerable.
And there was the big question. Many of the professors had since stopped James in the hallways to ask how he has been since the killing. Even Potions Master Kovachev, whom disliked James, had gone easier on him with his punishments. James let out a heavy sigh. "It's been alright," he said, his tone returning to normal. He squinted out over the lake, thinking about how he had been since the killing. He was significantly better, but it had still been a tragic thing to witness. James often thought about it at the most random times and ended up needing to step out for air. It was odd that something affected him in this way, but it had been his first sighting of a dead body.

His gaze moved from James and back out to the lake as the giant squid moved once more across the surface of the water and its tentacles disappeared under the surface of the lake. He gave a slight smile and nodded at James response at why he was out by the lake as well. His response that ”it was a lovely view to get ones thoughts out” truly did sit well with Burt, as he felt the same way. When he had been student at Hogwarts he always came out to the lake or somewhere on the grounds, he always felt like nature was the best place to think. ”I agree with you on that one””replied Burt as he waved his wand and a few stones went out and skipped along the water, and then with a tiny flick each of the small stones exploded into little sparks. I still got it thought Burt giving a little satisfying smile he could still do the simple charms. For the last few years he had only be focused on curses and transfiguration and advanced spells, not the basics.
His view turned to James as he heard him give a large sigh after he had asked him how he was adjusting. He was waiting for a lengthy response or some feelings from James but, the response was so short ”it’s been alright”. He gave a little frown on the inside but just looked back to the lake, he should have known better, this was James Potter he was talking to. He gave a little sigh and looked back at James and gave him a friendly smile and looked right at him. He felt bad for him having to see a dead body at such a young age, to be the first to discover it. Burt himself he had seen dead bodies before, got use to it, he had even taken a life, it did not get easier at all. The images of them would stay with you. ”It’s not easy James I understand. I have seen dead bodies myself and not just strangers, but my loved ones”said Burt turning his eyes to the lake. He was not sure if James knew what had happened back in 1990 when Burt parents, wife, and daughter were tortured and killed by a group of dark wizards. Burt had been the first of the Aurors to arrive at his house, seeing the flames completely engulfing his entire house and his families bodies lying at the front of the stairs, his daughter had been so young at the time. ”Time heals all things they say”said Burt looking back to James giving a him a smile once more. ”I assume you will be still taking Transfiguration despite me not teaching it anymore? The new professor is a dear friend of mine, and extremely skilled in the field” asked Burt, he had hoped James would still be attending Transfiguration classes in his final year. It was an extremely important branch of magic to learn, as he saw.

James watched with interest as the Headmaster skipped a few stones with his wand, and nodded approvingly when they exploded into sparks. James always had believed Headmaster Reynolds to be a talented wizard, and it was always fun for James to experience him doing magic. Even if it was basic and simple.
For a brief moment, James lost himself in thought as he looked out over the lake once more. Things were just alright now. He hadn't had a normal sleeping schedule since returning to school, but he slept some and that was all that mattered. As for the moments in which he lost his train of thought and started thinking about the girl, he would come here. It was better than it was the first few nights back at Hogwarts. When the Headmaster spoke, James's attention returned to the old man.
At the mention of Professor Reynolds seeing not just stranger's dead bodies, but also those of his loved one, James's eyebrows raised in what could only be slight concern and sympathy. No one deserved that. He didn't know how to respond. Obviously this man had had it a lot worse than James. But then again, James believed that nobody deserved to die unexpectedly. "Are you..." James racked his brain for the right way to ask what he was thinking. "Better now? After time has... passed?" He asked uncertainly.
"I am taking Transfiguration," James nodded, happy to answer a question unrelated to the muggleborn girl. "I've yet to meet the professor, however," he admitted.

His gaze went back to the black lake when James had asked if Burt was better now, with time passing since he had seen his loved ones dead bodies. Of course he knew the answer he would be giving to James, which did not trouble him at all. What troubled him is the answer would be almost like a lie. It had been easy for him to move past discovering dead bodies, but finding his loved ones were extremely hard for him and it had not been something he had moved past so easily. ” Time has helped me, but it’s still hard they were taken to soon.” replied Burt his eyes did not move from the lake, they stayed fixed on the view. He was not going to mention he has been brewing potions to control his emotions, and stop his emotional and mental breakdowns as well as the flash backs of that night. He took a little sigh and closed his eyes for a second. When he did the images of his wife and daughter appeared in his head, and he quickly opened his eyes looking back to the lake. ”It was harder for me however because they were killed, because of my actions[“ said Burt quietly, a little surprised that he had said anything. He considered the deaths of his family to be his fault, because it was revenge that made them kill his family, revenge for his “war on dark wizards”. During his tenure as Head Auror he oversaw many raids into Knockturn Alley and too many influential members of society who had hid their associations with dark wizards.
He looked back to James when he mentioned that he was still enrolled in the Transfiguration class which he gave a little smile to. That was good news for Burt for he truly believed that Transfiguration was such an important branch of magic to learn. Being to transform things in different shapes, conjuring items, being able to vanish items as well, all handy things that were helpful to know in a duel. He nodded that James had said that he had not met the new Professor yet. He gave a little smile, as he was sure the students would enjoy the new Professor very much so, he knew Vince was a practical man and knew more about Transfiguration then Burt even did. ”He is a good man, knows more about Transfiguration then me if I do say so myself. I was able to convince him to leave his job in Paris to come teach here, it was not easy”said Burt as he gave a little chuckle. It had taken him for weeks since he found out he was getting the job of Headmaster for him, to finally convince Vincent to move back to England and take the job at Hogwarts. A promise of a nice office had help, but the request and promise of plans finally being put into action, had sealed the deal and made Vince come to Hogwarts. ”Be wary of pranks however, the man has taught people all over the world. I doubt there is a prank he doesn’t know or won’t see coming” said Burt raising his eyebrows and giving James a sort of “behave” look while chuckling as well. THANK YOU MALIA TATE FROM ADOXOGRAPHY

After James noticed Professor Reynold's gaze return to the Black Lake, James did the same. He felt the same way, considering he couldn't stand the thought of the muggleborn sorely based on her age and innocense. She hadn't even learned magic yet. "I hate that," he said simply. James truly didn't understand the reasoning beyond young people being taken so soon. He hated the fact, quite honestly. As Professor Reynolds continued to speak, James turned to him again. "Your actions?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Paris?" James repeated, interested. "What did he do there?" James was not often so comfortable and questioning with teachers, but with Professor Reynolds, James had always felt good around him. Like he could trust him and tell him anything. If there was one teacher he had to choose to keep one of his secrets, it would be Professor Reynolds.
At Burt's mentioning of the new professor being good at spotting pranks, James caught the look that Burt was giving him and James couldn't hold back a little smirk. "Well, Professor, he has yet to meet James Sirius Potter," he said proudly. James was quite the prankster as well, and he saw such a statement as a challenge. Now he would have to meet this new Transfiguration professor.

He looked at James when he asked him what he meant by “his actions”, he gave a little sigh. He should have known he was going to be asked, when he said they were taken away because of his actions. He looked away for a quick second to figure out the words to use to say what he was going to say. He needed to avoid showing too much emotion, if he did, he risked having an entire breakdown something that was unacceptable. Another sigh came from him, and he took a deep breath and let it out before turning back to James to address him. “I was Head Auror from 1985 until 1990, I was known as extremely aggressive dark wizards, willing to push the law to capture the bad guys. I was foolish, I declared war on all dark wizards, raids started more, and we made dozens of arrests” said Burt he looked down for a second his voice stopped, before he went any further. He took another deep breath, his face normally emotionless showed sadness but, it was not close to what Burt was feeling on the inside.
Inside he felt like his body was being ripped apart, his heart tearing itself from the inside out. Exhaling the breath he took and giving a small sigh he looked back up at James, more composed this time. “I made powerful enemies, which I thought I could handle. In 1990 a group of them attacked my parents Manor where I lived with my wife and our daughter. When I arrived they had all been killed, and the house burnt to the ground. They made sure they suffered pain, they made an example of what such actions would bring” said Burt, at the end his tone was filled with distaste at the thought of his daughter being tortured before being killed. They had made an example indeed, Voldemort was gone by that time and still a Head Auror, could have his own family murdered if they dared declared war on dark wizards. It was just a month after the deaths that Burt was forced from his job, his superiors felt he couldn’t do it anymore but, feeling bad for him and knowing he was an asset they promoted him instead. He turned his gaze back to James when he asked what Vincent; the new Professor had been doing over in Paris. “He was training their Aurors in advanced areas of magic, including dark magic. You see he has traveled everywhere learning and studying all areas of magic, as much as he could. I believe it was Egypt where he studied Transfiguration mostly, apparently they knew some interesting stuff” replied Burt, he remembered Vince telling him some of the stuff he had learned while he was over there, stuff he had never even knew about Transfiguration. He gave a laugh when James replied that the Professor had yet to meet “James Sirius Potter”, and just gave the young man a smile. He found it amusing that James used his full name; Burt found using one’s full name gave a sense of importance. For instance Headmaster Burt Wick Reynolds sounded very important to Burt and powerful as well. Minister For Magic Burt Wick Reynolds, sounds even better thought Burt giving a quick little smile once more, this time at the thought of being Minister.

James watched Professor Reynolds as he began his story, his brow furrowed in concentration as he listened. As the professor spoke, James thought he saw a hint of sadness in the man's expression. So James spoke up. "Well, that's good," he interjected. "The arrests, I mean. Wasn't that at some high point for Voldemort's followers?" He asked. James had been told the story of Voldemorts fall, rise, and ultimate failure many times. His father was the reason behind it all, so it was only natural that James grew up hearing all about Lord Voldemort and the terror he and his followers caused. It was sad and nearly Earth shattering that he had left an imprint on some people this far into the future. In a way, James supposed that he had achieved some of what he was aiming for - revenge on good wizards for eternity.
The professor continued, and James began to feel more sympathy for the man as he spoke of his daughter being tortured. Just the thought sickened James. How could someone torture a child? An innocent, young child who had no say in what went on in the world. James found himself hating people he had never met, people who were probably long dead. James didn't know how to respond to that. He imagined that Professor Reynolds had endured a lot of pain and suffering himself since the incident, just having to retell it to curious lads like James. He decided to leave it there.
James looked back at the professor as he explained his new colleague's work. "Sounds like a worthy opponent," James smirked. He knew he didn't have to hide his pranking habits from Headmaster Reynolds. After all, most teachers already knew James was basically unstoppable when it came to pranks.

He turned to James response that was good about the arrests Burt had made, he slowly nodded. It was true in fact a good thing what Burt had accomplished in five years, a short tenure compared to other Head Aurors however he did accomplish much in that time. He reformed the entire office and training program, made it harder if anything expected a high standard among his Aurors and only promoted the best of the best as he saw. Of course he had his fair share of critism mainly from criminals and their families and rights groups and of course the lovely Daily Prophet. Mainly over the aggressive techniques he authorized his Aurors to use, from unforgivable curses to even the use of Leglimency to gain confessions. People called him “barbaric” and his favorite headline about him: “Burt W. Reynolds: Judge, Jury, and Executioner”. ” Yes the arrests were good, and we convicted many of them as well. Some did not agree with the techquines I authorized but, I did so in order to protect my Aurors and make sure got the bad people and any rest of Voldemort’s supporters” said Burt he never flinched at when spoke of the name. He believed in the old thing Albus told him “fear of a name only increases fear of the thing itself” which was completely true. He looked back to the lake for a second and remembered the night before the attack, when Elizabeth his wife told him she had seen someone earlier watching the house, a young man she said. Something about him had made her feel extremely weird, and Burt should have listened to her she had a sixth sense for those things. At times he felt his wife had the gift of a seer but, she said she never did just really good gut feelings. I should have taken her more seriously thought Burt he looked down and then back to James.
” The night before she had said she saw someone walking by the house several times in the same week, she said he seemed to watch the house as he walked. I told her nonsense, she was paranoid. My father agreed with me and we put some protective enchantments on the house to make her feel safer, it wasn’t enough. I should have listened to her I would have made that place more protectable then Hogwarts” said Burt, he took a sigh as he said the last of it. If only he had taken her statement more seriously, he could have saved them all. ”It was planned. They lured most of the Aurors out on a false call, while they attacked the house. When I arrived most had been leaving, I was able to take one down but that was it”said Burt remembering how he killed the man with such ease. His superiors cleared him and said he acted in accordance with the law, despite one Auror saying Burt killed the man in cold blood. For Burt he didn’t remember thinking about the killing curse at all, the words just came out of his mouth it had surprised him. The anger and rage at the thought that his family was dead in the burning house must have brought him to doing it, without even thinking and he had no regrets over it. Filthy piece of slime deserved it thought Burt he looked at the lake for a while. He heard James say that Vincent would be a worthy opponent and he gave a slight chuckle his thoughts coming back from dreaded tragedy. ” Well I hope you and your seventh years live up to my word, I told him you all are very talented. He has high expectations for you all and his lesson plan for the year is very good, some advanced forms of Transfiguration. Which I have wanted to know, what do you plan on doing after you finish this year James?”asked Burt, his gaze turning back to James now as he waited for a response.

James had not really known a lot about Professor Reynolds's past, and as the man was opening up in front of him, James found that he was learning a lot about him that he had previously had no knowledge about or would have even expected of him. James, too, never flinched at Lord Voldemort's name. What was the use, especially in this day and age? He was long gone. James actually was more keen to roll his eyes whenever someone flinced at the name. He took notice that Burt did not, but then again expected it of a man like the professor. "What techniques did you authorize, if you don't mind my asking, sir?" James figured it would be alright to ask, if the professor was opening up anyway.
Once again, the professor went into detail about the night his family had been killed. James could hardly bear to imagine losing his family in such a way. Hearing the way that Professor Reynolds spoke about the situation saddened James. Then he thought about the professor killing at least one of the people. At least he had gotten away with just one. But even that didn't feel like enough, even to James. As Burt turned back to stare at the lake for a while, James did the same. He didn't say anything for a couple of minutes, as the two of them sat in silence. Then after much thought, James decided to speak what was on his mind. "I would have done it, too," he stated. "Killed him, I mean." He turned back to look at the professor. Many other adults may have taken such a statement from a boy like James as "inappropriate." James was eager to see how Professor Reynolds would respond.
At the mention of James's fellow classmates, he chuckled. The thought of Alice and Ronan poopped up, as they were particularly good with most spells. As was Carcer, and Elodie was just a joy in his classes. Then there was Aurora, of course, who was just a breathtaking and intelligent beauty. And even that Slytherin, Elaine, was pretty talented. So in all, James supposed that he did have quite a talented group of students in his year. But the question of what he wanted to do after school caught him by surprise. His mother had bugged him about it plenty, of course. But no teacher had yet to come to him and bug him about his future. In a way, James supposed it was only right that Headmaster Reynolds was the first to do so. "I'm not sure..." he said uncertainly, looking at the ground. James really hadn't put much thought into it. He didn't want to be forced into anything. If he wanted to go into a career, he would do it on his own time. Travelling the world and seeing things was more interesting to James than settling down and getting a boring job at the Ministry.

His eyes turned away for a second from James when he asked Burt what techniques he had authorized to be used when he was Head Auror. He thought for a second if he should tell James the complete truth about what he had approved for his Aurors to use. From the unforgivable curses to even the use of his gift of being a Legilimens, which the latter was hard to use for convictions, Burt always pressed hard for it to be used as evidence in prosecuting dark wizards and former Death Eaters. His eyes turned back to James now as he decided he would just tell the young Potter boy the truth, if he didn’t, he was sure his famous father, Harry Potter would tell his boy. ”I allowed the use of the Unforgivable Curses in certain situations, and allowing Legilimens to use their magic to extract memories for prosecuting dark wizards. I still say I made the right choices, those criminals had fear of the Aurors like never before I like to think” said Burt looking right at the young Gryffindor. His eyes grew a little wide when James said he would have killed the man as well, like Burt had. He was surprised but not to surprise considering who his dad was, still he had concern for such a statement. Killing was not something Burt enjoyed; he didn’t take pleasure in taking someone’s life well depending on the situation. Of course for all James had to know that was the only person that Burt had killed.
He gave a little sigh as he thought about what to say at James statement which still was ringing bells in Burt’s mind. ” I cannot say I would blame you if you were in that situation, but James know that taking a life is breaking a law of nature. Nature does not take kindly to its laws being broken.” replied Burt his eyes turning away towards the lake at the end of his sentence. Staring at the lake for a while, he heard James answer his question on what he wanted to do after Hogwarts, which the answer just put an absolute frown on the old man’s face. Turning his head he looked directly at James and gave him a serious “listen up” look. ”You are in your seventh year Mr. Potter, I would have hoped you could give me a better answer on this question. Bloody hell, even the fifth years know what they want to do said Burt, his tone was curt but still pleasant. When Burt called a student he liked by their last name, it was he meant business and wanted them to listen up cause it was something serious. ”There has to be something you have thought about doing, time is going to travel very fast in this term. I don’t want something made up on the spot either, I’m old not dumb “ said Burt before turning his gaze back to the lake as he waited for James to think of a better answer, he expected one from James Sirius Potter, son of the famous Boy who lived.

James raised his eyebrows at the Headmaster. Hearing that he had authorized the Unforgivable Curses was a little surprising, but at the same time, James knew that Aurors were meant to chase down bad wizards and witches and put them in jail. If Burt felt he had to authorize the use, maybe those witches and wizards deserved to be inflicted upon by those curses. Then James's eyebrows furrowed in what looked like anger. "And now Aurors are dying." He said, simply. James thought for a moment, that if perhaps Burt were still Head Auror, Aurors wouldn't be dying. And the muggleborn girl wouldn't have died. Since the Aurors had started being murdered, James would be lying if he said that he didn't worry about the safety of his father and uncle almost daily.
As the old man turned his attention out to the lake, James did the same, letting what the Headmaster said settle into his mind. James really didn't know if he could ever kill a person, but if someone hurt the people he loved... he was certain he would come close. He turned back to the Headmaster quickly when his tone changed to something serious. James shrugged, a small smile curling at the corner of his mouth. "What I want to do isn't exactly what most adults would approve of," he said, shaking his head at the ground. But James wasn't sad as he said this. He found this rather humorous, actually, for most adults never approved of what James Potter wanted to do.

His gaze stayed out to the lake and stayed there even when James spoke that “Now Aurors are dying”, he didn’t even look at James. The recent killings had been a terrible tragedy for the world and in fact for Burt very much. They had put a damper on his plans and on how fast he could put them in place, and the mud blood dying was like Dumbeldore himself was trying to prevent Burt from making his next power move. If the girl didn’t die he would have never had that stain on his record as Headmaster but now he did, and it didn’t help that she was a young innocent muggle born girl who hadn’t even had the chance of being sorted yet before she was horribly killed. No one bothers to ask me how I feel about her dying, or how it affects me, it’s all about her! thought Burt he waved his wand at the lake, and when he did stream of water shout up from the lake and slowly turned into ice falling back down. He smiled enjoying the simple but, such amazing Transfiguration tricks he had learned over the years. ”Yes someone is wanting to be the next Voldemort, but better I fear”said Burt he shook his head in his own disbelief that such a thing was happening. Also he didn’t want to believe it was happening, not now, not when he still had so much left to lose or yet to gain.
He turned his gaze back to James now who replied that most adults would not approve of what he wanted to do. He gave a slight frown, as he hoped it wasn’t something extremely foolish for him to do in his life. Burt wasn’t the one to judge someone on what they did for life unless, he felt it was below them and they could do so much better. He believed people should reach for their dreams, unless it hurt him, than they should just lay down and die as he saw. ”James what do you plan on doing? Out with it, before I jinx it out of you”said Burt giving a slight chuckle to the young Gryffindor sitting next to him. He also gave him the “I’m serious, speak up” look. He turned his attention back to the lake aiming his wand as he swished it around changing parts of the water into ice sculptures of different animals as he awaited James response to his future plans. Don’t be foolish Potter, be smarter than your dad thought Burt quickly as he finished making a huge lion and than a snake. . THANK YOU MALIA TATE FROM ADOXOGRAPHY
