where's the fun in doing what you're told? SAT BENEATH HER WAS HER bloody-nosed friend and all Sari could do at first was frown. Sari sighed to herself then, reaching forward to hold Jimmie steady, her free hand fumbling with the taps to let the water run. Luckily for the two of them there were hand towels laying around, so Sari took it upon herself to play nurse for a little while. The brunette ran the flannel under the tap for a few seconds before tilting Jimmie’s head up, gently dabbing the warm water across her nose.
”What even happened?…Who did you piss off this time?..” Since meeting Jimmie, Sari knew Jimmie only had two set ‘modes’. Befriend someone and bug them until the end of days or activate a random fight or flight mode at any time.

She asked if pumpkin juice would work as a mixer and he nodded, "yeah, I think so," he answered, only half listening. He was worried about Jimmie. Not because he cared about her as a person more than he just didn't need someone else hating Monday and violence happening under his roof or whatever. He leaned forward and starting to make the drink when she asked if he wanted to play bartender. He stepped around to the other side of the table so be across from her. That was more fun, "rum and pumpkin juice with a dash of cinnamon on top, maybe a little extra adorable mixed in because, well, you know," he gestured to himself. monday meadow weekly

June 27, 2025 Tuesday agreed that pumpkin juice would work as a mixer, though his response came out as being slightly distracted. Regardless, it didn't seem to last long, and Tuesday stepped around to the opposite side of the table to really bring the effect of his being her bartender for the moment. "Rum and pumpkin juice with a dash of cinnamon on top," he stated. "Maybe a little extra adorable mixed in because, well, you know." At that, Tuesday gestured to himself.
The drink sounded a little ambitious to Monday, but it had the potential to be really good, too. A little extra adorable also didn't hurt, she thought. "Why, thank you, sir," she laughed, giving Tuesday a slight curtsy and then standing back up straight again. "That sounds excellent." The more she thought about it, the more she could get behind it. It would be sort of like pumpkin pie, if pumpkin pie had rum in it. She looked to the disposable cups. "And with the finest glassware, I see!"

Being with Samira always felt natural and normal. While Shreya had found her life to be everything but those things ever since graduation it was rather nice to have that sense of normality even if it was only for a single night. She smiled and grab her best friends hand. "We are going to make trouble like the good old days. I've been too busy being good and behaving to avoid trouble at the new job. My hands are itching to create some drama!" She said in a voice that promised trouble would follow where she went. It was one of those things that her best friends knew about her. Shreya loved creating trouble and drama, as long as the effect on her own life was minimal in the negative sense. Shreya gave Samira a nice little knowning smile. "Oh you know me, I'm always dressed to kill." She said with a little wink as she kept walking. "I do hope they have some good music. Do you know if Camila Calderon has a new album set to release? I'm dying to hear some new things." She said conversationally, but her eyes were already scanning the crowd, looking for something to entertain her. samira ali warsame

notes here. words: #### | "Honestly, tonight seems more for forgetting what's going on outside," he replied with a smile. He was glad to be around her, and it really was comforting that she was available to talk about it if he needed that. He might just at some point, but that wasn't right then. No, he was at a party and wanted to try and enjoy said party. It made sense to celebrate the end of the school and to relax, getting away from all of the problems going on in the world. That didn't mean those problems were completely avoidable, but he was eager to have fun. That said, he did want to let her now how grateful he was.
"I will probably want to talk about it at some point, though," he said with another smile. He was glad she was around, and it showed somewhat in the way that he had said hi to her to begin with. There was very few he really reacted like that around, and he was sure it was going to increase the more he opened up and stopped being a loner. He knew why he was one, but that didn't mean he needed to live in fear. Heck, he already wasn't just by hanging around Kaylee when the chance arose. That alone gave him the sense that he had no reason to be afraid.

Shreya announced that they were going to make trouble that night, which sounded like a fun time. They might have been adults, technically, but they had no supervision from "real" adults, and the party certainly didn't seem like the kind of thing that someone would attend just because they were keen on spoiling everyone else's fun.
"They've already got alcohol," Sami pointed out. That meant that part of their job had been done for them, at least. It would be easier to let loose, hang out, and see where the night took them. She followed Shreya farther into the room and glanced at the selection of drinks available to them. It was maybe not as ritzy as Sami had anticipated… but still drinkable.
As they made their way farther into the room, Shreya expressed her hope that the party would have good music, including asking her if she knew when Camila Calderón's latest album would be released.
"Oh, Merlin! Where have you been?" Sami teased her, exaggerating her reaction. "Next thing, you'll be asking when Auguste Courtemanche's next album is out!" It was almost forgivable; a lot had gone on since Camila Calderón's album had been released in March, and Auguste Courtemanche's album had only just been released. Still, it was sort of disappointing that Shreya had ended up so far out of the loop. They had hours of partying ahead of them to remedy that, however, and Sami doubted that anyone would object to some of the latest hits.
Sami looked to Shreya, suddenly reminded of something. "Ohhh!" she grinned. "Have I told you I went to Auguste Courtemanche's album signing?"

She thanked him and laughed, which made him smile even more. Especially when she gave that curtsy. She was so... cute when she let herself be, when she wasn't getting overexcited about something (in a negative way, positive over excitement was also adorable). At the mention of the cups he laughed out loud, and his laugh was quite a booming sound, "yeah, only the best for you, love," he teased. Once the drink was mixed (two of them) he passed one to her and held his up in a toast, "to having the guts to punch someone in the face, but maybe gaining the wisdom to do it a little less," he teased, winking at her. monday meadow weekly

JIMMIE HAD NEVER TASTED HER OWN BLOOD before. She thought briefly of Steve and his extracurricular's and promptly decided he was a liar and a maniac. It tasted like shit. Bitter and metallic, overwhelming in large amounts. She wanted to sniff, but her nose was blocked from the blow. And then there was Sari, with her hair dark so that her face looked impossibly pale under the watery florescent.
While Jimmie cradled her face, Sari went to work and she watched. The door shutting behind her as she grabbed a suspicious looking flannel and ran it under the water, grabbing Jimmie's chin and tilting it upwards. Jimmie's neck felt tight, face hot with pain as the flannel dripped down her chin and throat. "Not gonna lie..." Jimmie said, avoiding the question. "But this is kinda hot." And then she laughed, snorting a snotty line of blood down on to the flannel and groaning with pain as she did. "Shouldn't have done that." She moaned, eyes squeezed shut.
"They're named after the days of the week." Jimmie whispered after a moment, when the pain had receded and she got her vision back, feeling as if she'd blacked out for a second. That's how she'd gotten in to trouble in the first place. For finding it all so supremely funny. Tonguing the cut at her lip, where she'd bitten it on impact, Jimmie felt the sting. "Like... Monday, Tuesday..." Wide eyes caught Sari's, checking to see if she was the only person who found it humorous. God, she'd die if she was.

June 27, 2025 As frustrated as she was by what had happened with Jimmie Blishwick, Monday had to let herself go just a little. If any of her siblings could put her at ease, it was Tuesday, and he knew it. She was grateful that someone could. He assured that only the best for her would do, then he went to mix two drinks: one for her and one for him.
Tuesday passed her drink over to her once he'd concocted both drinks and raised his in a toast. "To having the guts to punch someone in the face, but maybe gaining the wisdom to do it a little less," he proclaimed with a wink.
Monday laughed, clinking her cup lightly against Tuesday's. She wasn't proud of herself for having punched Jimmie in the face, but she would have done it again in defense of her family. "To maybe not punching people again," she agreed, "and, uh… maybe not telling Mom and Dad about this one?"

June 27, 2025 "Honestly, tonight seems more for forgetting what's going on outside," Matt smiled at her. That was a good point; the Weeklys weren't about to do anything halfway. If anything would make for a distraction (and a few more stories to tell by the end of the night), then it would be that very party.
"I will probably want to talk about it at some point, though," he added.
Kaylee nodded her head. She didn't want to pressure Matt into talking about anything if he wasn't comfortable with it, but she was glad that he felt comfortable enough with her to feel that way. "That's fine," she said gently. Kaylee didn't want to linger on it if Matt didn't; there was plenty of time to discuss the more serious stuff.
In the meantime, though, they could go ahead and start hanging out with the other partygoers. The oldest Weeklys were in her own year, but it looked as though a few people from Matt's year—the class that had newly graduated—were milling around the penthouse, too. "C'mon," she urged him, reaching for his hand. "Let's go see what there is to do."

Monday laughed, which of course made Tuesday smile. She added to maybe not punching people again and to not letting mom and dad. Tuesday swayed his head from side to side, "ehh... okay," he agreed with a laugh, pressing his glass against hers momentarily and then taking a sip slowly. He glanced around the room, noticing someone pulled Jimmie aside. Good, he didn't want to have to take care of her too. He lowered his glass and furrowed his brow at Monday, "does your hand hurt at all?"monday meadow weekly

June 27, 2025 "Ehh… okay," was as much as Tuesday gave her. Monday knew that he knew better than to rat her out to their parents. If she got in trouble for punching Jimmie, they would want to know what led to the altercation. Then they would have to explain that they had maybe held a party without any adult supervision besides a couple of seventeen- and eighteen-year-olds, and that was going to go over really well.
Monday took a sip of her drink. It was a pretty strong pour, but it was good. Pumpkin juice worked as a mixer for sure, and she knew that she'd have to make note of that.
"Does your hand hurt at all?"
"Like, it's not the worst thing I've ever done to it," she answered him with a little laugh. Maybe it was one of the worst things she'd done with her hand, but it really wasn't the worst thing she'd done to it. She'd injured it worse accidentally, in fairness, which gave her a high enough pain tolerance.
"I should, uh, probably go get my wand and fix it," Monday admitted, drink still in hand. She glanced up at Tuesday. "You wanna come with me?"

where's the fun in doing what you're told? JIMMIE HAD DEFINITELY LOST IT. At least, that’s what Sari had concluded. Dabbing the warm flannel against Jimmie’s pale nose with her rambles on how the event leading up to the bloody nose was kinda hot. Tutting under her breath, the brunette looked down at Jimmie, holding onto her chin a little tighter and flicking at her forehead. ”Don’t be stupid…” She muttered, genuinely worried for her friend with the amount of blood flowing from her mere little nostrils. It got worse once the blonde snotted out some more, and the consequence of it seemed to be painful also. ”Told you…” Sari added.
As she continued to dab — changing the water from warm to rather cold to numb parts of Jimmie’s nose — the Fawley rose her brow at the discovery. She had a question of her own, curious as if they were actually named Monday, Tuesday and so on and so forth but Jimmie answered the question in mind. ”No way…And what’s their last name? ’Weekdays’?" Snorting in a reply, Sari cracked a small smile, the first one of the night. She continued to clean her friends mess until deeming it okay for Jimmie to tilt her head back down. ”You should be okay now…”

Shreya had to say that the alcohol selection wasn't particularly impressive. It wasn't bad, of course, it just wasn't really impressive. She'd hoped for more when Sami had said they had alcohol. Well, there was nothing to be done about it now. They would have to do with what had been made available, for better or worse. Just like it usually ended up with the selection of male specimen. Shreya usually ended up choosing not to play the field. Perhaps she was a bit snobby at times but she knew what she wanted. That certainly counted for something. Shreya rolled her eyes when Sami asked where she'd been. "Working triple shifts at the hospital almost since the day we graduated. The internship is amazing, don't get me wrong there but I barely have time to eat and sleep, let alone concern myself with the albums that have been released. It's a bit of a nightmare on that front but I wouldn't trade it for anything." She admitted honestly. Hags fever had led to a lot more work and Shreya knew it was perfect for learning but it effectively murdered her perception of time and social life for the last while. But all was well when Sami mentioned she'd gone to the album signing of Auguste Courtemance, one of the other favourite musicians of the girls. "Tell me everything! Is he as hot in real life? Was he nice? What does his hair smell like?" Shreya had to admit she found the singer very attractive and well, he was far closer to the age group she wanted and she'd forgive him for being a bit younger than she wanted. In some cases you simply had to make an exception after all. It was just idle fantasies of course but who better to entertain those with than your best friend? samira ali warsame

June 27, 2025 At some point, all alcohol tasted the same. It was only the initial few drinks that really mattered, in Sami's view; anything beyond that was supposed to be a blur. As long as the Weeklys had something halfway decent to mix their drinks with instead of just straight liquor, it would be just fine.
Shreya didn't sound overly impressed with her when she asked her where she'd been, which Sami supposed was actually pretty fair. She said she had been working triple shifts at St. Mungo's since they'd graduated, which made Sami's job at C'est La Vie seem like child's play. "It's a bit of a nightmare on that front," said Shreya of her inability to eat or sleep because of her training, "but I wouldn't trade it for anything."
Fortunately, Shreya seemed less stressed at the subject of Auguste Courtemanche. "Tell me everything!" she gushed. "Is he as hot in real life? Was he nice? What does his hair smell like?"
"Merlin," Sami sighed, "he's even more attractive in person." She didn't know how that was possible, but it was true. "And he might have flirted with me," she added with a slight squeal, grinning a little. Of course, Auguste Courtemanche was known to be flirtatious, but a girl could dream, couldn't she?
