Shreya was hanging on every word her friend said. If she couldn't live herself, she was going to live through Sami extensively. Of course, she didn't disappoint as she started to describe what had happened at the album signing. Shreya was quite stoked at the idea of everything. "Say what now?!" She blurted out as Sami said that the international pop star had flirted with her. Was she serious there? Or just trying to make her jealous? Either was it was definitively working. "You definitively have to tell me everything now. I want every minute little detail. Let me live through you!" She was half begging as she physcially clung to her friend for the added dramatic effect. This was amazing! Now there was a story she had to use at the party in order to get some attention and jealousy going around. If she didn't Shreya was sure to be disappointed in her. samira ali warsame

June 27, 2025 "Say what now?!"
Samira doubted that she would have believed Shreya if she were telling her the same story, so she understood why she was in such disbelief about Auguste Courtemanche. It was true, though, which made it better than if she were just making up stories. Shreya told her that she had to tell her everything about what had happened—every detail—and Sami was happy to share. "Let me live through you!" Shreya begged of her, clinging to her arm.
"I still can't believe it," Sami admitted, readjusting how she was standing to keep from getting pulled over by Shreya's excitement. "I mean, I didn't quite know what to expect," given how Auguste had always seemed in the media, "but he was so fit and so nice…"

She said it wasn't the worst thing she had done to her hand and he chuckled, smirking a little at that. "That's true," he agreed. She said she should get her wand and fix it, inviting him along. "Yeah, of course. Though I think you might have left it in my room last, to be honest," he tried to recall as he took her hand and started moving toward the stairs. As he did, he spotted Friday up ahead with... a... dog? Nope, he definitely didn't have time for THAT right now. monday meadow weekly

June 27, 2025 Tuesday agreed to accompany her to get her wand, although he mentioned that she might have left it in his room last.
"Sh*t," Monday muttered. Had she? She couldn't remember, now that he had mentioned it, but it wasn't going to hurt anything to check his bedroom, too, was it? "Yeah, um… Did I leave it in there?" Although she tried to retrace her steps, it wasn't much use. She simply held Tuesday's hand and moved to head upstairs with him, only to see Friday with… Was that a dog? Who had smuggled a dog into the party?
Aside from cursing the fact that she would probably have to be one of the ones to clean up after the dog and whatever mess it made, Monday wasn't too focused on the dog situation. Hopefully, she thought against her better judgment, it was just an Animagus or something having a laugh, though she glanced in Tuesday's direction at the absurdity of it. Maybe it was better to pretend that they hadn't seen anything.

notes here. words: #### | Matt was grateful for Kaylee, as she didn't pressure him into talking about things at the moment. He really didn't like how things kept going sideways on him or any of his family members. It was one of the most annoying things about his life, but at the same time he really couldn't keep his head down about it. There was too much going on for him to do that. He was snapped out of his thoughts when Kaylee spoke again, reaching for his hand, and drawing a faint blush to his cheeks.
"Heh, alright, lets look around then," he replied with a smile. It wouldn't be much to be at a party if you did nothing while you were there, and Matt wasn't really opposed to Kaylee's suggestion of seeing what all there was to do. It sure as heck beat staying alone in his thoughts for who knew how long, and thus dwelling on things that were for the most part outside of his control.

June 27, 2025 Matt took her hand and agreed that they should look around the party. The suggestion had come out of curiosity about how large the Weekly siblings' penthouse really was on the one hand—because Kaylee had never been in any private home that was so impressive—as well as out of a desire to see what all had been set up. There weren't crowds of people there yet, so she didn't want to seem too nosy or as though she and Matt were sneaking away from the other attendees so early on in the night.
Kaylee felt a little self-conscious about holding hands with Matt around so many people, but it wasn't enough to deter her. From what she could scope out at a glance, there were food and beverages—with plenty of alcohol, which probably shouldn't have come as much of a shock—and the band that was playing, although she didn't recognize the song. (Should she have recognized it? Kaylee wasn't sure.)
There were also some party games set up a little further in, and Kaylee pulled Matt in that direction. Sure, some of them looked like they were definitely supposed to have been played with alcohol, including one set-up that was unmistakably set up in a triangular formation, but there was no rule against playing with water or soda—especially when they were the first ones over there. "Hopefully nobody enchanted this already," she joked to Matt. With her free hand, she grabbed one of the ping-pong balls, tossed it up in the air, caught it again, and then set it down onto the table again. "I don't know if we're gonna be able to get teams together," she noted, "but, like, we could see how many times we can sink the balls in the cups, anyway?"

LETTING SARI DAB UNDER HER NOSE, JIMMIE stared up at her expectantly. If anybody would sympathise and agree with her, it would be Sari. There had been many a time that Jimmie had been the one consoling Sari, but this time the table's had turned. Jimmie expected to dislike it, but she didn't. Sari had a really gentle touch, it was kind of nice. She leaned in to it, the ache throbbing angrily in her face.
"Worse..." Jimmie said nasally, the cold stinging her face pleasantly. "Weekly..." She exaggerated, rolling her eyes upwards. "Tell me that isn't some cruel joke!" She exclaimed, hissing slightly when her enthusiasm pushed Sari's hand in to her face. Jimmie fell silent as Sari continue to carefully clean her face, keeping very still until eventually she stopped. The tissue coming away clean and Jimmie's face raw and cold, but noticeably less painful. Though it still throbbed enough to make Jimmie grimace.
"Thanks." She muttered, lifting her hand to prod at her nose carefully. "At least it's not broken," She joked, smiling slightly at Sari. She lifted herself from the toilet, looking down at her blood stained shirt. "I need a new shirt... and a drink." The bathroom was suddenly far too small for just two and Jimmie was so close to Sari that she could feel the warm hush of her breath against her cheek. "I owe you..." She whispered soberly, a slight knot in her throat. Reaching forward, she pulled Sari in to a quick hug, before turning them to change their positions and back out the door. "See ya!" She exclaimed awkwardly, before turning to flee the awkward tension that had suffused her.
[END?]

notes here. words: 303 | There was quite a bit to the party, and yet there was a small crowd despite who was hosting the party. That alone made Matt surprised, though he was sure that others would show up eventually. Some people were just slow to arrive, and it was still fairly early enough in the festivities that people would make their way here eventually. It was just a matter of when, not if.
Matt was surprised by how Kaylee’s hand felt in his, though he didn’t let it show. He kept his eyes peeled about what all was around, looking at the food and games, not really paying much attention otherwise. Following Kaylee over to where the games were, he noticed real quickly the familiar set-up and heard Kaylee’s comment. “Wouldn’t be surprising if they already had. Some people just like crazier versions of games just for the chaos caused,” he replied with a chuckle as he then watched her throw the ball up and then catch it. He then heard her comment about the likelihood of getting teams together and nodded.
“Yeah, odds are most people are just gonna wanna chat or get lost in their drinks. I feel it’s a bit too early for that much drinking, but that’s likely just me,” he replied with a chuckle, nodding in agreement at her suggestion. It would be a fun game, and he was sure they’d likely draw a few people’s attentions in the process of playing, which might lead to at least small teams of some kind. Either way, it was something to do that didn’t involve sitting on the sidelines, and he didn’t think that was a good idea. Heck, he didn’t think dancing was a good idea either with how bad he was, but that wasn’t something to worry about. Not yet, anyways.

June 27, 2025 Both she and Matt—and probably the rest of the partygoers who had attended Hogwarts at any point—knew that there was a very high likelihood that any drink that hadn't started out containing alcohol at the start of the night probably would by the end of it. So far, there wasn't much in the way of drunken antics, though Kaylee didn't doubt that things would get even more unbelievable as the night wore on. The kind of money that the Weeklys had was something out of her wildest dreams, so she was mentally preparing herself for just about anything.
Matt said that odds were that most people would want to chat or get lost in their drinks, and Kaylee nodded. "I feel it’s a bit too early for that much drinking, but that’s likely just me," he said, though he seemed to agree with her that playing beer pong with water rather than beer might be fun.
"Okay," Kaylee grinned, getting set up at one end of the table. "Let's see how this goes…"
@johanson OOC: I'm thinking we can do a more recent thread with the two of them rather than dragging this thread out forever?
