September 26, 2025 (Friday Night) September! Everyone had returned to school! And like always, Lily had been mischievously rubbing her hands together for the entirety of the month, solidifying the final arrangements to get the Room of Requirement in tip-top shape for her annual party to top all parties. Being more successful than the previous year’s Halloween bash was going to be difficult, but she had planned this one out meticulously. Over the summer she had been confined to her house a lot, because stupid quarantine and whatnot, so most of her inspiration had been drawn from muggle movies. The ones where over the top parties got so out of hand that the house caught on fire or raged on for entire weekends. Now obviously that wasn’t entirely possible within the confines of the castle, and the heads of house would eventually take notice of every student’s absence, but she had figured out a way to get the Room to look like the ground floor of an extremely elaborate mansion, primed and ready for the greatest muggle house party within a castle ever. With her head peeking out of the door to the Room, the rest of her body danced to the music already blasting from within, waiting for the first of the arrivals to get in and start partying.
OOC THE RULES 1. Have Fun 2. The idea for the thread, and I quote SUZIE on this, "Basically the idea is that you post when you want in whatever order you want and just @tag the person who you're character DIRECTLY references or is speaking to. It's pretty much like 1,000 conversations happening at once. It's a good time, but I will say that it works best if the posts are short." 3. You DO NOT talk about Fight Club 4. If you have any questions about what this is about, contact me, COLIN! , with a PM and I'll be able to answer them. 5. All students are invited. Professors? Hell, they can drop in too 6. Here is the link to the last time this was held, to get an idea of what the posting is like: MARCH DANCE PARTY | Strangers In The Night, oh and Gilderoy's Beach Party. Thank Other TJ for that one. 7. You DO NOT talk about Fight Club 8. Please no OOC accounts posted in here. This is strictly IC posts. So let loose, have fun, talk to characters you haven't before, and party! 9. If you have a new character that is created while the thread is going on, please PM me and I'll add them into the list. 10. Sucks to suck Gilderoy. Too bad you're old and graduated now.

If there was one thing that Monday knew about Lily Potter’s party in the Room of Requirement, it was that she was—under no circumstances—going to end up punching anybody. It had already happened once with Jimmie Blishwick at their own party, and she really didn’t want a repeat of that fiasco. No, that wasn’t going to happen. Instead, she was going to hang out, enjoy herself, and party it up. The one rule that applied to some of the younger students to put a damper on their fun was the drinking age, but that was a moot point for her. She had already turned eighteen, and the drinking age there was seventeen. (And if anything was true of Hogwarts parties, it was the presence of some sort of smuggled alcohol, usually firewhisky from Hogsmeade.)
Lily Potter herself was pretty cool. She understood the whole “famous family” thing, though Monday hadn’t spent as much time around her as she would have liked prior to that year. Lily had been held back, which… it happened, Monday guessed? Either way, she wasn’t going to hold that against her—and especially not when she saw that Lily was already peeking out of the door to see who was coming.
“Hey, Lily!” Monday grinned. “Is everything set up already?”

▲ The first sign that someone was approaching the corridor that the Room of Requirement was located in happened right as she almost pulled her head back inside the door. Footsteps clicking on the marble floor had her craning her neck even further out the door, afraid of stepping all the way out and having to cycle the Room back to the one she had all set up. With the way her brain worked, she could have a dozen different attempts before finding it again. Head flipping back and forth between both sides of the hallway to see where the sound was coming from, she finally spotted the source. It was Monday Weekly! One of her many new roommates, because all the rest of hers had to go and graduate the previous May. Clearly they didn’t have a blast at Hogwarts the way she did. If failing on purpose became an option for her again, she’d probably take it. Messing around in the castle was loads better than working, or whatever. “Yo!” she waved at her roommate as she approached. “Yup! And you’re the first here, so you get free reign at everything the house elves sent up. I convinced them to break out some of the holiday desserts, so get them while you can.” Convincing the house elves to send food up her way was a trick she had figured out years ago. By now, they expected her to ask at least once or twice a term for whatever party or event she was running. “Did you see anyone else heading over yet?” she asked Monday, as she opened the door to the Room more so that it was obvious where people needed to go. She swore that some students were completely oblivious to it, even when it was right in front of them. MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

Lily confirmed that everything was set up inside of the room, not that there ever seemed to be that much to do. When it came to the Room of Requirement, everything was pretty much a package deal—aside from food, since that wasn't something that could be transfigured out of thin air. The Hogwarts elves had taken care of that part, as Lily explained. That included some of the holiday desserts. Now, Monday had only been at Hogwarts for one year, but the Hogwarts feasts were something else. A lot of the food was traditional British stuff and kind of whatever, but Lily was right to guess that the good stuff would go quickly. "Did you see anyone else heading over yet?" Lily asked as she opened the door up for her to enter. "Yeah," Monday confirmed with a quick nod as she stepped inside the Room of Requirement. "Some of the other Gryffindors should be here pretty soon, I think? There were some people in the common room still getting ready to go when I left." She had just managed to be the first one other than Lily to show up. "Do you want me to start, like, texting people?" she offered. "Or I could post something on Vibe?"lily luna potter

You were cool and now you're not Iggy sat in the Slytherin common room by the fire, the blaze illuminating her in the glow. A small grin rested on plump lips as green eyes searched the words of the book she held between thin, pale, fingers. Her head tilted slightly, allowing a wave of golden locks to fall over one shoulder like a cascading waterfall. She knew most of her classmates would be running off to Potters welcome back party, though she'd never attended herself. Not that she expected an invitation extended to herself, Iggy wasn't exactly... nice. She wasn't cruel, persay, she simply didn't enjoy the company of others. So parties... they were completely abhorrent to the seventeen year old. However.... Her love for muggle music, and the occasional cinematic film, had her itching to at least experience a "high school party". Having mulled over the idea Iggy decided that she should at least experience it now or else she may end up regretting it in the future. The last thing she wanted was any regrets in her life, look at what it had done to her mother and father... Without a second thought she returned her book to her dorm, changing quickly and checking her reflection in the small mirror she set atop her nightstand. Iggy smirked at her reflection, fluffing the white gold that surrounded her moonlit skin. "Guess tha'll do." The young witch muttered to herself, taking a deep breath as she made her way towards the Room of Requirement, following a couple others that were giggling and giddy with excitement; whispering about years prior.Iggy simply stepped in line behind them, practically using them as a shield to enter; unknowing if she'd even be welcomed. The loner hadn't ruffled too many feathers, that she was aware of... But she hadn't exactly been the kindest either. Green eyes peered towards the two she'd followed in and her heart dropped at the lack of anyone she recognized. Other than Potter, it was hard to miss the red; the other girl seemed familiar but she couldn't place her name. And Iggy wasn't entirely sure that either of them had ever had any interaction at all with her, much less an amiable one. Instead she did her best to appear nonthreatening and as non...Slytheriny as possible, quietly grabbing herself a drink and shamelessly chugging it with her back to anyone looking on. Modesty is becoming of a lady, her mother would say. Which only lead the blond to snag another one.

Another year back at Hogwarts had begun, and it felt much different for Kaylee than the year prior. For one thing, her parents and youngest siblings were all in Britain, too, so it wasn't as isolating to be there as it had been for her sixth year. Unfortunately, due to all of the travel restrictions, she hadn't been able to make it back home—or to bring Zen to visit Hawaii, like she had promised—but it was probably for the best. If anything ended up happening, like with the fireworks explosion at the Quidditch match, she wouldn't have wanted to get caught up in it.
Although she was working a job at Honeydukes in addition to attending classes (something that, by some miracle, had been permitted of her), Kaylee had requested the night off. It also meant that she had to work the following morning, so she wasn't planning to stick around late into the night. The last thing that she needed was to miss work because of detention.
Having changed out of her uniform and into a dress and sneakers, Kaylee followed a group of other students into the Room of Requirement. Immediately, she saw a few other students in her own year (Lily Potter now among them) and began to chat with a few other people she recognized from Ilvermorny.

it wouldn't be the same going back to hogwarts without some sort of party in the room of requirement. they were becoming something of a tradition when students gathered back at the school for the start of term and she didn't hate it. there was something about loud music and a lot of people that she found good for the soul. she wasn't what she would call a party lover but she did enjoy going to them, mostly to people watch but also to catch up with people she hadn't seen while school had been out. though this holidays had been a little different than normal because when she'd left school, she'd just been viktor krum, the quidditch players daughter and now she was, viktor krum, quidditch player and now the minister of magic's daughter. she was still getting used to it.
she didn't really like to talk about it, preferred to kind of ignore it because there were people who didn't think he should be there and people who loved him and it was just far far easier to stay out of it. she mused her hair in her reflection in one of the windows as she made her way to the r.o.r. she walked in after a group of girls who seemed happy to just talk to themselves so she walked around them, scanning the room for people she knew and the only face she was certain she knew was lily potters. she headed over that way, grabbing one of the drinks from the table as she did and she smiled widely at lily and monday. both in her year so she knew was familiar with both of them. "there's a whole bunch of people coming now."

Listening wasn’t always Friday’s strong suit. Information that he found less than useful or interesting slip through his fingers like sand. Yet, the news that Lily Potter was throwing a party was something his brain held on to tightly. He wasn’t one to miss a party, he was even able to throw one during the summer which he considered a major success. There was fun, friends, music and his sister even punched someone. All and all it was a major event he was glad to throw. Even if he did catch a little hell from some of his siblings after the party was over and the days of clean up he had to deal.
Friday was excited as he made his way toward the room of requirements with a few other Gryffindors. It was still odd that he was now one of those. He liked being a Thunderbird more. It had more meaning to him and was an actual animal. A Gryffindor was a family name that wasn’t even around anymore. He was snapped from his random string of thoughts as his group made it to the party. Once in the room was pretty impressive and found that a few people had already made it. He was excited for the party but still not one to be ready as soon as something started. He found his sister, Monday, talking to the hostess along with a few others around. He didn’t know what he would be doing at the party besides having fun. Still he had to make a stop to see his sister.
Walking over he just smiled toward his sister and the group. “So who’s getting hit this party?” Friday asked mostly joking to his sister Monday. “Did she tell you guys she’s got a killer right hook? Or was it a left?” Friday asked the rest around him. Knowing full well Monday wasn’t going to be talking about that. Only part of the reason he brought it up.

Just as she was prepared to go on magical social media to broadcast a subtle reminder to her peers about the party that was happening in the Room of Requirement, Monday was relieved to see a few other people enter the party. One of them was Katiya Krum, who approached her and Lily to let them know that even more people were coming.
As Monday probably should have expected, that included at least one of her many siblings. The first into the Room of Requirement was Friday, who immediately teased her. "So who’s getting hit this party?" he asked, obviously referring to the Jimmie incident at their party over the summer. "Did she tell you guys she’s got a killer right hook? Or was it a left?"
"You Dorcus," Monday groaned, rolling her eyes at Friday's comment. "That was an accident," she explained, though she doubted that she was going to be able to live that one down. "You're lucky I didn't tell Mom and Dad you were the one who planned that party," she pointed out.

The Room of Requirement. Now that wasn't a room that Chase had often heard of. He vaguely remembered it coming up in his History of Magic class, mentioned as part of the Battle of Hogwarts at some point. He hadn't known what it did, but hearing about a party in some way? That was great. That was awesome in fact! So the room wasn't just some sort of battle room! That was neat! He couldn't help but chuckle softly at the thought of a party. Blake was probably going to be too busy, as Blake often was. He understood why; Blake was taking some pretty difficult courses himself, and Blake needed all the focus he could on stuff! But he was Chase. Chase who things came a little easier to. Chase who liked to go to the occasional party and socialize. He lifted a hand and waved to Lily gratefully. "Thanks for the invite to the party! Here's hoping it turns out to be a pretty good bash, eh?"He had a goofy, cheeky smile. He'd learned to hide the dismay he'd had at not being able to go home. He had learned to hide the sadness with the mask of a smile. It was something he and Blake had learned all too well when they'd been separated into two separate houses at Hogwarts. He knew he'd feel better soon. lily luna potter

Haydin wasn't really a party person but if any sort of school newsworthy story was going to happen in this first week, it would be here at the party. Lily Potter had a way of making them nights you wouldn't forget. Haydin had enjoyed herself at these before, but she was always the bystander, the wallflower, watching and waiting to see what everyone else was doing. She always arrived early so that she could, hopefully, leave before things got too out of hand that she wasn't even able to gather any information going on. From what she'd heard, though, the parties stayed pretty school friendly for MOST people. Not all, though. She walked in, grabbed a drink (sniffing it to make sure it wasn't anything alcoholic, it seemed fine) and took her usual spot near the door where she could see who came in and who left. @vibing

▲ So many people all at once! Oddly enough, Lily didn’t feel all that out of place, or at least not as much as she thought she would, considering everyone here was officially younger than her now. She may have been touting the fact that technically she was in her eighth year, but all that had managed to do was cause a couple of disgruntled eye rolls from the professors. The current seventh year crowd were a fairly happy bunch though. Where she used to think that her previous year was the best, she was starting to warm up to this group already, and they were seemingly taking her in too. With hellos, high-fives, and hugs to various people as they showed up, Lily eventually felt confident enough with leaving her position at the door. Anyone that showed up now was welcome, but they weren’t going to get a personalized greeting from her unless she spotted them first. Easily the funniest of the arrivals were the Weekly siblings. Lily had found herself caught in the back and forth between Monday and Friday. “Who’d you punch?” Lily asked immediately after Friday said his sister had a quality swing in her arm. “And what party was this?” she followed up with, looking back and forth between the two of them. If she had been invited (and really, why would she have been left out?), it really wouldn’t have mattered because she had been grounded all summer. That was one of the stipulations of failing. A summer of reading and studying. It hadn’t been all that bad, but she missed being outside and socializing the most. MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

"Who’d you punch?" Somehow, the news hadn't reached all of Hogwarts, and it probably would have stayed that way if not for Friday. Of course, Jimmie wasn't exactly one not to gossip, which almost made it entertaining that Lily hadn't heard yet. "And what party was this?"
"Jimmie," Monday muttered under her breath, before continuing at a normal volume. "Because someone"—she eyed Friday—"decided to throw a house party." Monday paused. Friday had invited the whole school and then some; how didn't Lily Potter know about it?
"Wait." Monday had to laugh a little. "How were you not there?!"

Friday was happy, almost proud, to bring up the fact that Monday had punched someone into almost any conversation. Especially if Monday was around and didn’t want it brought up. Lily asked who she punched and what party it was. Monday answered stating that someone, him, had thrown a party and that she had punched Jimmie. “She’s talking about me, I threw the party while most of them went out to eat some miserable dinner. It was great.” Friday happily explained, never one to hide his dislike of vegan food. Cheese and meat were some of the best things out there.
Monday asked how Lily wasn’t there and Friday was curious too. Not curious enough to not get distracted by new people coming into the party but still, curious. “I know I totally invited you.” Friday explained seeing a familiar face enter the party and getting herself a drink. “You’ll have to come to the next one. If not I’ll have my sis here punch you. She’s the bruiser of the family now. I’ll see you guys around.” Friday gave a joking smile towards Monday and waved as he walked off toward the familiar face he saw moments ago.
He found her back by the door of the room. Haydin didn’t seem to be leaving, instead just standing there. Walking over he regretted she wasn’t faced the other way so he could tap her on her other shoulder and be on the other side. It was a childish and old joke but he still used it plenty of times. “So is this where your going to be for the whole party? The door woman?” Friday teased once he was closer to her.

▲ Monday had slugged Jimmie Blishwick? That was a brand new sentence that she had never imagined would be said during her lifetime. Sure, Jimmie could be a little stuck up at times, but she wasn’t a bad kid at all. And the same could be said about Monday, from what she knew about the girl so far. That could have been an issue stemming from having to bunk together during the previous school year, or maybe Jimmie hadn’t been invited! Lily was completely engrossed in whatever the reasoning behind the punch was, because she definitely would have hyped the whole thing up had she been at the party. Which, according to Monday, was her brother’s concoction. She was surprised that nobody had said anything to her about it yet, mostly because she was the one most known for throwing parties at this point (Gilderoy aside, but he was graduated now!). Maybe it had been so awesome, they didn’t want to hurt her feelings, which was reasonable, but also completely silly. Lily was restrained to throwing these things during school. She didn’t have the space to throw a house party, and if she did, half of Godric’s Hollow would know within minutes. And her parents would be tipped off by either Albus or Cara Bainbridge, snooping from across the street from her window. Lily had seen the older girl do it before. The nicest way to put it was that she was a busybody. “Well, when you get held back your seventh year, you sort of lose a lot of your permissions,” she laughed as the Weekly siblings seemed surprised about her absence, despite an invite. “I was able to read like, two whole books though! I hadn’t done that since first year.” And she was dang proud of it at that! Reading had always been a waste of time, especially when she was too busy socializing and trying to set up these silly little parties every term. She did miss this though, and Friday made sure to warn her about showing up next time, or else. “You’re probably my kryptonite, kid. Or silver bullet,” she explained to Monday. “I’m sure you’ve tangoed with werewolves once or twice.” Meaning her brothers, who were both afflicted with lycanthropy as well. Monday would be quite the adversary if she caught Lily off guard. Friday walked off at this point, and Lily turned back to his sister, because now she was curious about the cause of the fight. “So what did Jimmie do? Because I didn’t know she could make someone angry enough to punch her.”MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0
