@edmund <3 Addi gave him a shy smile. She hadn't meant to annoy or anger him, she was just being honest. But, even so, she smiled at him and nodded her head. Reaching over to grab his hand, she gave it a gentle squeeze as an apology. "You're everything to me, too, Edmund."
Her eyes widened when she glanced over at his tinfoil. Empty. Addi let out a giggle. "Jeesh, Ed. Do you want something else? I don't want you to be hungry!" Addi had only eaten about half of hers, and was starting to get full. She took one last bite and grinned brightly at Edmund. "Here, why don't you finish it, I'm full." She took the napkin she had and wiped her face. Addi leaned back in the chair, flicked off her flip flops, and crossed her legs. Her feet were getting toasty warm by the fire.

Edmund looked out when Addi gave a light laugh. He looked over in surprise when she asked if he wanted anything else. She'd only eaten about half of her food but he had absolutely no intention of stealing her food from her. Then she said she was done and offered it to him. Edmund reached forward to take it hesitantly, "You sure you're done Adds? I don't want you to be hungry," he told her. Her food did look good, but he wasn't starving anymore. Granted, he wasn't full, but he'd be fine. He didn't need her food. "So what did you think of my tin foil dinner?"
He turned to face her. "I have one more surprise for you, Adds. Do you want it now or do you want to just look at the stars for a bit first?" he asked as he turned his attention to the stars. The sun went down only a short while earlier but the sky was already glittering brightly.

@edmund <3 Addi shook her head at Edmund and held her hand up. "No of course not, Edmund! I'm full, trust me. That was a lot of food." She giggled softly. It was delicious, but if she had to eat any more food she may explode. Unless dessert was an option later, then that was different. She looked around. "Is there any water?" She smiled shyly, slightly embarrassed. It was just a drink but it made her thirsty. "And it was great, E. And an even better idea, really."
Biting her lip, Addilyn thought for a moment. Looking at the stars would be sweet, and relaxing. Even though she did want the surprise now, she thought it would be better to wait until before they went back to the common room. "I want to watch the stars, if that's alright?"

He smiled and turned to the food. She was full? He believed her, but he found it hard to believe how little she ate. How could she only eat that much and still be full? Then she asked about water and Edmund jumped a little bit. How could he forget the water? He summoned some from his trunk (it was in water bottles- another thing from the muggle world). He shrugged as he finished off her food. "I thought you'd like it," he said casually. He finished and set the tin foil to the side before turning to look at his best friend. She was already looking up at the stars, after giving her answer. Edmund reached over and grabbed her hand, squeezing it gently as he leaned back in his chair and looked at the stars. This time, he was just going to let it be quiet. He was going to let her start talking, if she wanted to. If not, they could just look at the stars together in companionable silence.

@edmund <3 She rose an eyebrow when he jumped. Addi wasn't positive as to why he jumped, but oh well. She smiled when he got the water...in a bottle? She had heard of it from her mum but never actually experienced it before. Giggling, she bit her lip. When he squeezed her hand, she gave it a small squeeze back and looked at the stars. They were beautiful; the shining, sparkling stars glimmered in her eyes and the fire kept them warm. Addilyn bit her lip again, thinking as she looked up at the sky. She wished they could be together all the time, without being apart. Being with Edmund made her so happy, so full of excitement. It was a different feeling she'd never experienced before.

It was fun to see Addi's reaction to new things and the water bottle was no exception. She seemed to stare at it for a second before laughing and trying it out. Shaking his head, he turned his attention back to the stars. This was perfect. The whole situation, but particularly this moment. Edmund had never felt so peaceful in his life. He leaned over to Addi and whispered. "Do you know that muggles study astronomy too? They've named some constellations like wizards, they just can't see as much as we can." He liked not feeling pressure to talk about any specific things. It was nice to just talk, and not talk. To do whatever he wanted.

@edmund <3 Edmund leaned over and whispered something in her ear and she listened intently while still watching the sky. "That's interesting. I haven't watched the stars in so long; Professor Malfoy is great at teaching though. I enjoy her class." She was also the Slytherin Head of House, and she was a sweet person. She was always helping out, and she actually just had a baby, a girl to be exact. Addilyn turned her head to look at Edmund. "I wish I knew more about muggles, our mum never tended to teach us much."

Ed shrugged as he continued to watch the stars. "Yeah, I like her class too, but I also studied it at home so it's interesting to hear about it from both points of view." Edmund always liked the stars. Astronomy was one of his favorite things because of that. When Addi turned to look at him, Edmund tore his gaze from the sky to look back at her. Then he grinned, "Well you've definitely chosen the right person to date then, Adds. Ask me whatever you want about muggles, and I'll tell you what I know ... as long as you return the favor when I don't know stuff about magic. Sometimes I feel like I just don't know what's going on. " He smiled and then turned his attention back to the stars. Addi was the only person he would have told that to. He didn't like to seem uninformed or weak at all.

@edmund <3 Addilyn wondered what muggle school was like. Was it similar to Hogwarts? What did they learn about there? "What else did you study in the muggle school?" Addi smiled to herself, still enjoying the stars. This was all so perfect, so right. She's never been this happy before. Except maybe when she got her letter to Hogwarts. "Of course! I'll tell you anything you want to know."

Edmund smiled when she started asking questions. He shrugged a little, still looking at the stars. "I didn't really go to muggle schools. I had tutors, people that came and taught us things. They taught us history, arithmetic, how to write and read. Science," he added as an afterthought. He wasn't sure how much of this she'd understand. He'd probably be explaining most of it to her in a minute, but he didn't mind that at all.
He gently squeezed her hand, "Thanks Adds," he told her. He took a deep breath and exhaled before letting go of her hand and standing up. "Wait here," he told her with a smile. He knew she said she wanted to wait for the surprise, but he just wanted to give it to her already. He walked over to his trunk and took the glass castles out of the special compartment, carefully walking back to the fire with them. He held one out to Addi, "What do you think?" he asked, offering no explanation about it at all. He didn't even know which one he'd given her.

@edmund <3 Addilyn grinned at Edmund. Most of what he was saying didn't make much sense to her, but she enjoyed listening either way. It was fun to learn about things different from you, and she was actually quite surprised that she hadn't ever even asked her own mother about these types of things. "What's science?"
When Edmund stood up he made a sort of exasperated breath. She rose an eyebrow; he had squeezed her hand and walked away. Addi leaned forward in her chair, watching him in case he was leaving. She hoped not, as he hadn't said anything and she didn't think she had done anything wrong. And then, he was back, holding out a glass object to her. Her eyes widened. It was the castles they made! "Oh! Edmund... It's beautiful. I love it." Taking it in her hand, her eyes glanced over it, studying.

Edmund smiled at her question. How was he supposed to explain what science was? "Um ... it's the way things work in the world. Like, why it rains and how plants work. You just ask a question and then try to find the answer to it." That was a good explanation, right?
Her reaction was perfect. Obviously she recognized the castle from earlier in the date. Her face was shining with excitement and ... was it wonder. Edmund held the other castle out so she could look at it too. "Which one do you like more?" he asked curiously. Not because it was a competition, but because he was going to give it to her. That was the surprise: something that she could always remember this date by. One for her and one for him.

@edmund <3 Addilyn was still a bit confused but she also understood the basic of it. Where everything came from, right? She shrugged. "That's interesting!"
He held out the other castle and her eyes widened even more. He did it to both of them? "Oh Edmund I can't choose!" She smiled softly at him and tilted her head. "You keep mine. That way I can have a piece of you with me all the time."

The look on Addi's face meant she hadn't really understood much about science. That was all right, maybe he'd try to explain it better to her some other time. At the moment, he didn't feel like he needed to. He shrugged, "I liked studying it."
She was even more amazed when he showed her the second castle and he couldn't keep himself from grinning. He knew this was a good idea! The look on her face made all of it even more worthwhile. He nodded when she chose to keep his and smiled down at the double mini-castle in his hand. "I like that idea," he gave her a wink. "But I'm not really sure if you want to carry this around all the time ... maybe it'd be best to keep it in the dormitory," he teased. He looked up at the sky, "Speaking of which ... it's getting late. We should probably go back." He didn't want to. Today had been wonderful. If all days could be like this, just him and Addi, things would be great. He didn't want to go back to reality, but there really wasn't much of a choice.

@edmund <3 Addilyn gave Edmund a small smile. She wished they didn't have to go back. Either way they'd still be together, but she just didn't want to be away from him. Her feelings for him had soared since their first day back. She couldn't even imagine this relationship that summer, but now, here it was. "Yes...I suppose so..." Addi stood up and placed the castle on her chair. She moved forward and wrapped her arms around his waist.
