Elaine had to admit, the Wizarding World had been pretty quiet since Harry James Potter had disappeared into the night, with his wand the only evidence that the Ministry had found in their search for him. It was hilarious to watch them run in circles like idiot dogs, all pointing the fingers in every direction possible. Of course, plenty of fingers had been pointed at Elaine herself for the disappearance, but her lying low tactic had paid off to her advantage, and for whatever reason the Ministry was not naming her the Number One Suspect. Such a pity.
Today, she was enjoying a cup of tea in one of the private back rooms of the Hogs Head, her stooge Anise with her to keep her entertained. Suddenly, a commotion stirred up outside in the pub, and Elaine ordered her to see what the fuss was about. After a few minutes of twirling her wand between her fingers, Anise burst in looking terrified. Turns out, there were dragons loose in Hogsmeade, causing a ruckus and all around destruction. Elaine perked up, intrigued. Dragons, eh? She had always wanted a dragon if she was honest. She didn’t believe that all dragons were mindless, vicious beasts. Well, vicious yes, but not mindless. She had been doing her research, and she was of a mind that with proper professionals in place, she could take a dragon egg and raise it to be a creature of precise destruction. In her favor.
Elaine leapt up; this was a perfect opportunity to get up close and personal with a dragon, to see its’ destruction first hand before the Ministry arrived in full force. She opened her bag and thumbed through her vials of Polyjuice Potion. She couldn’t wear Anise’s face; they were at Hogs Head and she was too skinny and frail to take on a dragon. An idea clicked into place, and Elaine smirked as she removed the vial labeled Richie. Richie Trudeau, who would have every reason to come charging into the chaos guns blazing. “Anise darling, be a dear and send a message to Richie telling him to stay put?” Elaine purred, nodding to the fireplace and the coffer of Floo Powder next to it. As Anise delivered the message, Elaine took a sip of the Polyjuice Potion, and transformed into Richie. With a wave of her wand, she changed into Richie’s normal black robes to blend in more. “Be back in a flash,” she said in Richies’ deep voice, winking as he rushed outside, wand out and ‘ready’ to fight.
Elaine carefully made her way to the dragon, carelessly careening debris to the side with her wand. She could feel her senses tingling, her adrenaline pumping. Oohhh how she had MISSED this. “I need backup! Going to try and get the Stunner to his underbelly! Protective spells, now!” Elaine called out to the crew of people she had just passed. She didn’t check to see who would respond to her call, but kept making her way closer and closer to that magnificent beast.

If it wasn't a Boggart that had—for a moment—led her to believe that her sister had been murdered as savagely as the people who had kept coming up in the news, it was dragons. Tamatha knew better than to ask, at this point; enough happened in Britain to make her question why she had stayed there and not returned to France like she knew that she probably should have. All she had wanted was a free Saturday in the village to enjoy the quaintness and tranquility of the little market, and she certainly hadn't gotten that.
Her defensive abilities weren't terrible, and neither were her offensive ones, for that matter, but dragons? She worked in news for a living; she wasn't exactly spending her time around dangerous creatures—well, except for men, but that was different. Still, given how many students were around, as well as parents with small children, she was one of those actually capable of doing something to help. It scared Tamatha to her core, but she had gone into the street to try to be of assistance.
She had joined a group of others who had formed in the chaos. They hadn't been holding off one of the dragons for very long when a man came through, said that he was planning to stun the beast, and called for protective spells as back-up. He didn't look to Tamatha like the type of person who knew much about dragons, but, then again, neither did she. She also didn't want to see the guy burnt to a crisp if something went wrong, so she obliged, using her wand to fireproof what she could.
"He's going to need a good Shield Charm," Tamatha called to the others around, her voice wary. Her primary concern was that, if they were to use a Shield Charm, his Stunner might only end up ricocheting back onto him. And then he would be toast.

Elaine hid her smile as she heard a womans voice behind her; so someone had come to 'help' her out after all. She knew it was only a matter of time before some bleeding heart came to his aid. Not that Elaine really needed much help; she wasn't exactly versed in dealing with dragons, but she was one of the most powerful witches, if her enemies were any indication of it. Plus, she didn't want to harm the dragons at all - she was utterly fascinated by them.
She glanced back at the crowd that had formed. "There is a spell that we can use to secure a perimeter," she barked at them, blasting a piece of debris from the sky easily. "You'll need to spread out though, we need to make a big enough space to get people in the safety zone," he added, blasting another piece of debris. She had studied this spell, and had successfully used it on her parents manor when the Ministry had first come knocking, so she knew it'd work. "Well? What are you standing around for?" he asked them sharply.

The guy who was making his way towards the dragon showed no sign of turning back. It was maybe not the brightest idea ever, but Tamatha was going to do her best to make sure that he wasn't hurt. He looked in her direction as she informed the others around that he was going to need a good Shield Charm to keep him protected from anything that the dragon might do.
Rather than a Shield Charm, though, he suggested that they secure the perimeter. Okay, so he felt he could handle it. Tamatha would give him that, and securing the perimeter would limit the dragon's movement. Fair. Maybe this guy wasn't a total idiot; she'd grant him that. He seemed to have a plan in mind, at least.
Tamatha knew the spell to which he was referring, and he said that they would need to spread out. She looked to the others who were there, despite the debris that was beginning to fall around them. If they wanted to get other people to safety, they'd need to move.
"Well? What are you standing around for?"
He had taken the words from Tamatha's mouth. Trying to figure out what to do, she looked to a younger woman who appeared capable of moving quickly. She had to get people where they would be most useful. "Why don't you go… over there," she instructed her, "by that stall." She gestured as she spoke, her voice still a little hesitant. What if she screwed everything up? She had to hope for the best. With the next nearest person, a man, she pointed him in the opposite direction. "And… you," she told him, "run to the other side, alright? Spread out!"
She glanced back at the guy who had taken the initiative to begin with. "We'll need wand power, everyone," she noted. "Any one of us alone isn't going to stand a chance."
