With drops the characters are still considered 'claimed' until the end of the activity check and the account is deleted, this freeing the tag. You CAN reserve a character being dropped in advance, but just can't make them until the check ends. IF you contact a staff member privately they may extend this reservation a week.
Also with drops and with us having a wait period after you drop a character. If you drop a character and DONT post as that character again we will consider the day you posted the drop as the start of your wait period. If you continue to post as the character until the end of the activity check than we will consider the day the AC ends as your wait period start date.
